HIDDEN SECRET BEHIND LOVE

Chapter One

Just as usual, my alarm woke me up. But this time around I was feeling really nervous, not because I was too lazy to stand up but because I was too tired.

Yesterday, was a very stressful day, I must confess, I later managed to stand up from my bed and went straight to my window, I opened it and smiled.

"The day look so bright"I said to myself with a smile on my face.

Oh sorry I haven't introduce myself to you, my name is Su Zai, am a Chinese lady and the only daughter of the leader of all the mafia organization in China.

Am currently 19 years old, and am a baddie that love partying with friends but don't get me wrong I don't have a boyfriend because my first love has been taken away from me many years ago, ever since then the butterflies in my belly disappeared.

I spent all my middle school and high school education focusing on my studies and hoping that I will set my eyes on my first love again.

Today is my graduation party out of high school and I am sure I will be collecting the price of the best student in English language, because that is my best subject.

I am going to make my parents proud because they've promised me that if I collect the award of the best student in English language they would buy my favorite snacks which is Baked sweet potatoes and my favorite drink which is soyabean drink.

Just as I was thinking about all my experience in high school, I heard a knock on my door.

"Who's that?"I asked.

"It's me, Xiong"Xiong replied.

Xiong is 43 years old and she's our housemaid, she's also my close friend and gist patner at home.

"Come in"I said as I sat down on my bed.

"Good morning Zai"Xiong greeted with a smile on her face.

"Morning Xiong, how's your night?"I asked.

"Cool and yours"Xiong replied.

"Nice thanks"Zai said.

"Food is ready and mom told me to tell you to have your bath get dressed and come and have your breakfast"Xiong replied.

"Oh okay"I said as I stand up from my bed and started preparing for my graduation party.

Some minutes later, I was already fully dressed into a dinner gown and I applied a slight makeup on my face.

I stared at myself on the standing mirror in my room.

"Am Soo cute"I said to myself and made my way to the dinning room.

Mr and Mrs Su, my parents were already waiting for me in the dinning room.

"Good morning Mom and Dad"I greeted as I sat down on one of the chairs in the dinning room.

"Morning my beautiful daughter"Mr Su, my dad replied.

Been the only child in my family,I was always over pampered and I never lacked any good thing.

"What took you so long Zai, we have been waiting for you"Mrs Su, my mom said with a frown on her face.

"Oh sorry mom"I replied.

"Okay, let's eat"Mr Su said.

Few minutes later , we were already done with eating and Mr Patrick who was my dad's private driver would be driving us to the graduation event center.

After some minutes, we arrived in the event center and I walked into the Hall with my parents.

The hall was decorated with beautiful flowers, balloons and different lightening, I was already admiring the hall when my best friend Xu Li called me .......

"Zai"she shouted.

I waved to my parents and made my way to where my bestie was sitting in the hall.

The graduation party was already coming to an end and our principal Mrs Chen Jing decided to announce the best students and also give them their awards and results.

At this point my heart was already beating very fast , just then Mrs Chen Jing said:

"Here are the best students,the best student in biology is Xu Li"

"Wow, congratulations bestie"I said as I hug Xu Li.

Xu Li is very good when it comes to biology and she was very happy to be the overall best student in biology, she rushed to the stage to collect her results and award.

"Congratulations Li"Mrs Chen Jing said as she stretched her hand for an handshake.

"Thanks Mrs Chen"Li replied after shaking Mrs Chen hand and later made her way back to her seat.

The remaining award for physics, chemistry and math was announced and I was feeling very anxious for English my best subject.

"Are they not going to give award to the best student in English?what could be taking them so long?"

This was the different thought going on in my mind, before I got interrupted by Mrs Chen.

"So the last but not the least, the best student in English is Su Zai"

"OMG!!!!"I said happily as I rushed to join Mrs Chen on the stage to collect my results and award.

"Congratulations Zai"Mrs Chen said as she gave me my results and award, I could see my parents waving to me from the audience, I already fulfilled my promise and make them proud.

The graduation party finally came to an end and I waved to all my friends and made my way to my Mom and Dad who were waiting anxiously for me inside the car.

"Congratulations on your award, it's our turn to fulfill our promise to buy your favourite snacks and drinks"Mr Su said.

"Wow thanks Dad "I replied happily.

"Patrick take us to the Chinese restaurant"Mr Su said.

"Okay sir"Patrick replied.

Su Zai sat down on her bed with a smile on her face, some maids are in the room busy dressing for her.

It's her 20th birthday party and her parents have already organised a small palour party for just she, her parents and few of her friends.

Everyone has been going to and fro in the compound in order to get everything done for the celebrant.

"Hurry up with the makeup"Zai said to the makeup artist as she stared at herself in the standing mirror in front of her.

She really look beautiful and the make you artist did a perfect job for her make-up.

Some minutes later, the maids finished dressing for her and she was already fully dressed into a long black gown with a touch of silver decorations on it, with a silver crown and earrings with a black necklace to complement her dress.

Su Zai was now looking like a beautiful princess that she is, she walked out of her room and made her way to the sitting room where all the guest has been waiting for her arrival.

All the people present in the sitting room rushed to meet Zai and everyone wished her happy birthday which followed with different types of present.

"Cheers to your 20th birthday"Xu Li, Su Zai best friend said as she hugged Zai so tight.

"Thanks, bestie"Zai replied with a smile on her face.

"Accept my token gift"Xu Li said as she gave Zai a present in a golden box.

"Wow thanks"Zai replied as she opened the box, she found a golden earrings with necklace they are made of pure gold and they are looking very expensive.

"This is really beautiful and it will suit my skin color, thanks"Zai added.

"Wow,am glad you love it"Xu Li said.

"I love it so much"Zai replied.

"Come on, it's your birthday, we need to have fun to the fullest, let's go and grab a cup of drink"Xu Li said as she and Zai made their way to the dinning room.

"Have you checked the university you got admitted into"Xu Li asked as she poured a wine into two cups and gave Zai one of the glass cup containing her wine.

"Not yet, how about you"Zai replied as she sipped her wine gently.

"Yes, I already checked and I was admitted into East China University"Xu Li said.

"Ohhhh, wow am happy for you at least you won't be leaving China"Zai replied.

"Thanks, make sure you check yours tonight"Xu Li said.

"Sure I will, I think we should return back to the sitting room, new guests are arriving I need to go and welcome them"Zai replied.

"Wait Zai, what are you planning to say about Gu Ran proposal"Xu Li said.

"Still thinking"Zai replied as she made her way back to the sitting room.

Gu Ran is Su Zai childhood friend and his parents are very close with Zai parents.

Gu Ran has asked Zai to be his girlfriend ever since they were in middle school till now that they are out of high school but Zai hasn't give him a reply.

Zai arrived in the sitting room where she met her parents.

"Happy 20th birthday party to you my princess"Mr Su said to Zai as he hugged her.

"Happy birthday baby girl"Mrs Su added.

"Thanks Mom and Dad"Zai replied with a smile on her face.

"Come on, let's go outside, I have a gift for you"Mr Su said as he, his wife, Zai, Xu Li and other guests walked out of the sitting room and made their way to the compound.

Zai finally got the greatest shock of her life when she arrived in the compound.

The compound was arranged with balloons of different shapes, size and color, flowers was also used to decorate the compound, lightening also created a warm ambiance, a personalized photo of Zai with a beautiful cake stand can also be seen in the compound.

As if that isn't enough,the compound was filled with a lot of men who were playing trumpet.

Zai couldn't hold the tears of joy that was coming out of her eyes, she was really flaggarbasted.

Her parents did this...............

But what do you expect from her father Mr Su who is the richest man in China and he is currently the grandmaster the leader of all the mafia organization in China and also the second in command of the overlord of all Mafia organization in the world.

"All this for me, dad and mom"Zai said in tears.

"Yes baby"Mr and Mrs Su replied.

"Take a look at that car"Mr Su said as he pointed to a Arcfor GT model which worth One million dollars.

"That's our birthday gift for you"Mr Su added.

"OMG...."Zai and Xu Li shouted as they jumped up for joy.

Zai ran to the car and opened it, it's a brand new model and the most expensive car in China.

This time around, Xu Li was already recording all the scenero with her iPhone.

"Thank you so much Dad"Zai said happily.

"Hope you like it?"Mr Su asked.

"Yes I love it"Zai replied happily.

Zai took a picture with her new car and post it on her Instagram page with a caption ONE BUCKET LIST WISH FULFILLED.

Zai parents really made her day and the party finally came to an end.

Zai was already in her room to sleep after a stressful day, just then she remembered her diary, she brought our her phone and clicked on the diary app, she smiled as she saw her bucket list.

Her parents just helped her to fulfill her first bucket list, she smiled and kept her phone inside her wardrobe beside her bed, just then she decided to check her Whatsapp message before keeping her phone inside the wardrobe, she logged into her Whatsapp account and she saw Gu Ran message.

"Sorry I didn't make it to your birthday party, I sent a lovely dress for you, that's your birthday gift , can't wait to hear your reply on my proposal, I know it's gonna be a yes, I LOVE YOU"

Zai hissed after reading the message, she didn't like Gu Ran, he was her biggest headache.

"Thank God, he didn't come for my birthday party, he would have been introducing himself as my boyfriend"she taught, just then Xu Li message popped in.

"Yo bestie, have you checked where you got admitted into, oh how I wish it's also East China University"

"Oh"Zai said to herself as she took her laptop in order to check the university she got admitted into.

"Oh my God, Oakwood University, of all the university, and it's located in America, oh no"Zai said to herself with a frown on her face.

Just then a message popped into her phone, it's from Gu Ran.

"Zai I got admitted into Oakwood University,how about you"

Oh my Gosh................

Zai was still complaining about relocating to America and now her biggest headache is also relocating with her.

"Oh no"she yelled angrily as she banged her hand on the wardrobe beside her bed.

Just then the wardrobe opened and a picture fell down from the wardrobe, she picked the picture and stared at it as tears rolled down her cheeks.

It's a trowback picture of her and her first love named Wilder, when she was in middle school Wilder was living with her and her parents for six years throughout their middle school education, because he lost his parents.

Wilder was her first love and she was still having feelings for him but her mom sent him away from the house many years ago and refused to tell her the reason.

★FLASHBACK TO MANY YEARS AGO★

"Come on baby, don't say that"Mr Su said to his wife.

"Leave me alone, Wilder days are numbered in this house, you no longer have time for me, all you care is about Wilder"Mrs Su replied.

"No baby, that's not the reason, you know he just lost his parents so he have to stay somewhere, that's the reason why I adopted him"Mr Su said.

"It's a lie, Wilder's father is the former grandmaster and leader of all the mafia organization in China, that's why you're showing him kindness because you want to be the grandmaster"Mrs Su replied.

"Would you keep your mouth shut"Mr Su said angrily.

"Anyways I want him out of this house tommorow"Mrs Su replied and walked out of the bedroom.

The next day, Mrs Su sent Wilder out of the house.

"Mom,why did you send him away?"Zai asked in tears.

"You can't understand baby girl"Mrs Su replied as she made her way to the bedrooms leaving little Zai all alone in the sitting room, crying bitterly.

Zai burst into tears as she stared at the picture she snapped with Wilder back then.

Wilder was her first love but her parents, took him away from her.

"I hope I meet with him again"Zai said to herself as she kept the picture back into the wardrobe

"Thank you"Xu Li said to the waitress after serving the chicken and chips, she ordered it for she and Zai as she was waiting anxiously for Zai in the restaurant.

She didn't have a sound sleep at all last night, she has been waiting anxiously to hear the full gist about the university Zai got admitted into.

She really wished it was also East China University because she isn't ready to lose the bond she share with Zai and she already text the name of the restaurant she and Zai would be meeting earlier today.

Some minutes later, Zai arrived inside the restaurant and made her way to Xu Li.

"Hey baby girl"Zai said as she sat next to Xu Li.

"Come on, you kept me waiting"Xu Li replied.

"Sorry I had to take my time, you Know it's my first time of driving"Zai said.

"Oh okay, let's dig in"Xu Li replied as she pointed to the spiced chicken and chips in front to them.

"Hmm, tasty I love it"Zai said as she took her first bite of the spicy chicken.

The oil from the Chicken steamed her mouth and she quickly grabbed a tissue paper to wipe her mouth clean.

"I told you that you will love the chicken here, this restaurant is one of the best in China"Xu Li replied.

"Oh,so how come I didn't find out quickly, oh God and now I would be traveling abroad soon"Zai said.

On hearing this, Xu Li stopped eating immediately and stared at Zai.

"What's wrong?"Zai asked.

"Abroad? why are you traveling abroad"Xu Li replied.

"Hmm, I was admitted into Oakwood University in America"Zai said with a frown on her face.

"What!!!! Oakwood University, I know that University very well"Xu Li replied.

"Oh really, tell me about it"Zai said.

"Oakwood University is a very popular University where a lot of children of powerful Mafia organization attend"Xu Li replied.

"So you mean I got admitted into Oakwood University just because my dad is a powerful Mafia"Zai asked.

"Capital yes, but the university is well known for having two strong cults, one belong to a guy and the other belong to a lady, but I don't know their names"Xu Li replied.

"What!!!!cult groups, I really fear cultism, so what is the name of the cult that belong to the boy?"Zai asked.

"The name of the cult is Mafia Confraternity"Xu Li replied.

"How about the cult that belong to the lady?"Zai asked.

"Red Cross Confraternity"Xu Li replied.

"Oh God, how come did you know much about the university?"Zai asked.

"I am following the Instagram page of the University, every month they always lost close to 50 students to the strong cults"Xu Li replied.

"Oh my God, so why am I now admitted to that kind of University"Zai said looking very sad.

"Cheer up girl, you were admitted into the University just because your one of the daughter of a powerful Mafia, your dad is the Grandmaster the second in command of the overlord"Xu Li replied.

"I wish my stay in the University will be awesome because right now am already getting scared"Zai said.

"You just need to be careful and do away with friends you never can tell the one that's a cult member"Xu Li replied.

"Oh okay, thanks for your advice"Zai said.

"I really wish that we were admitted to the same university "Xu Li replied.

"I also wish we were admitted to the same university instead of Gu Ran"Zai said as she continued eating her chicken.

"Really, so you and Gu Ran are admitted to the same university"Xu Li replied.

"Yes,you know his dad is also part of the mafia organization here in China"Zai said still focusing on the chicken she was eating.

"No, that's not the reason"Xu Li replied.

"So what's the reason"Zai asked.

"It's because you both are destined together"Xu Li replied as she burst into laughters.

"It's not funny"Zai said with a frown on her face.

"It's funny, when will you give Gu Ran a reply, baby girl you are 20 years old for crying out loud,Gu Ran really loves you"Xu Li replied.

"Coming from a girl that have had three breakup in the past, look am not in for any relationship, I don't want my heart to be broken like yours"Zai said.

"Oh really, meet me outside"Xu Li replied angrily and Zai quickly finished eating her chicken and ran out of the restaurant to meet Xu Li.

★LATER IN THE DAY★

Xu Li and Zai went to the club to have fun in order to spend their last moment together because they will be separating to their different university.

Zai got drunk because she drank a lot of alcohol, Xu Li had to tell her driver to take her car home while she help Zai into her car and drove her home.

Mrs Su was already worried and waiting anxiously for Zai when she heard a knock on the door, she walked to the door and opened it, she was suprised to see Xu Li and Zai.

"Did she drink a lot of alcohol?" Mrs Su asked.

"Yes , that's the reason why I brought her home"Xu Li replied.

"Thanks"Mrs Su said.

"You're welcome ma, I would like to take my leave"Xu Li replied.

Mrs Su took Zai into her room and covered her with blanket, this time around Zai was snoring aloud as the smell of alcohol filled her room, Mrs Su switched off the lamp light and walked out of the room.

After some hours, Zai woke up and was suprised to see herself in her room all she could remember was that she and Xu Li was having fun in the club.

"How did I get to my bedroom"she thought.

She brought out her phone and a message popped in from Xu Li.

YOU WERE TOO DRUNK SO I BROUGHT YOU HOME, SLEEP TIGHT BESTIEEEEEE

"So Xu Li brought me home, I need to stop drinking to avoid all this"Zai said to herself.

Just then,she remembered the Oakwood University Instagram page that Xu Li told her about.

She clicked on the Instagram app on her phone,and then searched for the university page .

As she scrolled through the University's page, she came across a post featuring the front view of the University, she saved the picture on her phone instantly.

But then, she stumbled upon a mysterious post from the page of the Mafia Confraternity, she clicked on it and saw the picture of the leader of the Mafia Confraternity.

He was wearing a black hoodie with a facemask, she also found out that the name of the leader is WILD, and he was always wearing a black hoodie, black sneakers and black facemask in all his picture.

"Why did he like covering his face?how can a human being be bearing WILD "Zai asked herself still focusing on her phone when her mom entered the room.

"Good morning Mom"She greeted.

"Morning, we need to go shopping and prepare for your trip to America"Mrs Su replied and walked out of the room, while Zai started preparing for the outing.
