Strip now! you're my wife anyway" Harrison had said to Katherina as she fret over the chair she was sitting on. He was definitely not the man she had nursed till he got his memory back. He was now violent and over protective of her. "You are my wife Katherina, you are mine. You are mine alone!" Harrison roared slamming the flower vase down. "No Harrison. I am not your wife and I never was your wife. Give me breathing space Harrison....leave me alone" Katherina said in voice so tiny as tears flowed from her eyes. It was evident she was tired of the whole drama already. Harrison sprawled to his kneels in front of her. He gently hugged her patting her hair softly and swiftly. "I'm sorry Rina, I'm sorry for making you cry, I'm sorry for hurting you, I'm sorry....I'm sorry. Please give me another chance, please do not leave me alone all by myself. I love you....I love you so very much Rina" he wailed to her ear. "Swear by my name Rina, tell me you only love me and not my brother." Harrison cried holding her body firmly. He definitely was in pain as he uttered those words with great grievance. Katherina just watched him wretch in pain. "I do not love you Harrison, I do not!" She had said back to him throwing his hands off her. Had she made a wrong choice of staying with him? She couldn't help but feel loose on lying to him about them getting married. Was he showing her this side of his just to keep her to himself or was he getting a revenge on her for lying to him just to acquire his wealth? Usual happenings surrounding their meet ups, no one could have changed the narrative of how he fell first and still fell harder for her. He loves her, he loves her much, he loved her first despite finding out he was never married to her due to his memory loss. What sacrifices would Katherina make to stay with the one she lied to? how would the truth come back to hurt her? was it right saving him with a lie?

Chapter 1 How do stars collide

Harrison's parents anxiously waited for the results, they felt a wave of dread wash over them. They had been through so much with their son already, and they couldn't bear to hear that anything else was wrong.

Finally, the doctor entered the room and handed them the results. As they scanned the page, their hearts sank when they saw the words "abnormal findings."

"Excessive drinking can lead to a number of health problems, including memory loss," the doctor explained to Harrison's parents. "We're not sure how much of Harrison's unusual memory loss is due to the alcohol, but it's definitely a factor." The parents sat in stunned silence, trying to process what they had just heard.

"It's also possible that the wine itself could be causing some memory loss, as it contains a compound called resveratrol, which has been shown to impair memory in some cases." The parents were shocked by this new information, and they had so many questions.

"What can we do to help our son?" they asked the doctor.

"We need to make sure that Harrison's heart is strong and healthy before we can start any memory restoration treatment."

Mrs. Steele nodded, understanding that her son's heart health was a priority. The doctor went on to explain the next steps in Harrison's treatment plan.

"Research has shown that falling in love can have a positive impact on memory," the doctor said. "When a person is in love, their brain releases a flood of hormones, including oxytocin and dopamine. These hormones can stimulate the hippocampus, which is the part of the brain responsible for memory. So it's possible that if Harrison falls in love, it could help him to regain some of his lost memories." The doctor stressed that this was not a guarantee, but it was a possibility.

As Katherina scooped the fluffy white rice onto plates, she couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. This was a dish that her mother had always made, and it reminded her of her childhood. She smiled as she thought of her mom's kind eyes and warm smile.

"Mom, how come some people seem so oblivious to the world around them?" Katherina asked, her brow furrowed in thought.

"You're being a bit of a judge-y Kathie, dear," Mrs. Evan said with a wink. "You never know what's going on in someone's life, or what they might be dealing with. And remember, distracted walking isn't just an American phenomenon - it's happening all over the world!"

Katherina nodded, realizing her mother was right. Perhaps she was being a bit too quick to judge. Still, she couldn't help but wonder what was so interesting on those phones.

Katherina's dad, Gregory, and younger brother, Nathaniel, both gave her their best "I'm an innocent little lamb" look, but Katherina wasn't fooled. Nathaniel, especially, looked like he had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

"What's going on here?" she asked, her tone light but suspicious.

"Nothing!" said Nathaniel, a little too quickly. "Nothing at all!" echoed her dad. Katherina raised an eyebrow. "I'm not buying it," she said, crossing her arms.

Gregory and Nathaniel looked at each other, a guilty look passing between them.

"Um..." said Gregory, a slight flush rising on his cheeks. "We might have...accidentally...taken some of your seaweed." Nathaniel shot his father a look that said, "way to spill the beans, Dad."

"Okay, fess up," Katherina said, her arms still crossed. "Who was the mastermind behind this seaweed heist?"

Nathaniel looked at his father again, this time with a look that said, "you're on your own, Dad." Gregory sighed, a sheepish smile on his face.

"Well, it was me," he admitted. "I was just looking for a little crunch in my soup."

"A little crunch?" Katherina said, incredulous.

"Now, now," said Elizabeth their mother, stepping into the conversation. "Let's all just enjoy our breakfast. There's no need to get all worked up over some seaweed." She turned to Katherina, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "And besides, you know your dad is just a big kid at heart. He can't help himself."

Katherina let out a laugh. "I know, I know," she said, shaking her head.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, Nathaniel was responsible for cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment in a hospital setting. It was a job that required a lot of attention to detail and a high level of organization, but Nathaniel loved the satisfaction of knowing that his work was helping to keep patients safe.

As a part of his job, Nathaniel was also assigned to spend time with a patient in ward 1402. The new patient in ward 1402 was unlike anyone Nathaniel had ever met before. She was a high school girl, but she was dressed all in black, with black hair and black nails. She had a quiet, brooding presence about her, and she didn't say much. But there was something about her that intrigued Nathaniel. Perhaps it was the air of mystery surrounding her. Her name's Olivia.

As Nathaniel came to the bed of a patient named Olivia, he was surprised to see that she was putting on makeup. This was against the hospital's rules, and it struck him as an unusual choice for someone who was injured and in a hospital setting. Olivia noticed his look of surprise and shrugged.

"What, you've never seen a girl get ready before?" she said, giving him a smirk.

"I'm not used to seeing patients putting on makeup, that's all," Nathaniel said, trying to sound professional. "And besides, it's against the hospital's patient policy"

As Nathaniel was about to press the issue, Olivia cut him off.

"Just leave me alone," she said, her voice firm but not unkind. "You're here to work, and I'm not going to be the reason you get in trouble." She looked away, not meeting his eyes. Nathaniel had obviously had enough of her everyday drama.

Katherina's phone buzzed in her pocket as she was walking down the street. She pulled it out and saw that she had a text from her boyfriend, Andrew. The message read,

"Hey babe, I'm thinking about you. Miss you already! Can't wait to see you tonight."

As Katherina was reading the text, she failed to notice the car that was turning into the alleyway. Luckily, the driver of the car was quick on his feet and was able to stop just in time.

The irony of the situation wasn't lost on Katherina. She had always been quick to judge others for being on their phones while walking, and now she was the one who had been nearly hit by a car because she wasn't paying attention. It was a humbling experience, and it made her realize that she needed to be more mindful of her own actions.

The driver approached Katherina. She couldn't help but feel embarrassed and ashamed in front of him. She felt like he must think she was stupid or careless for almost getting hit by a car.

In an attempt to avoid further conversation, Katherina pretended to faint. She slumped forward and closed her eyes, hoping that the car driver would think she had fainted from the shock of the accident.

Katherina's plan backfired spectacularly. As she pretended to faint, she actually ended up hitting her head on the pavement. Everything went black, and she lost consciousness.

Chapter 2 Mistakes that can lead to disputes.

Katherina woke up in the hospital, groggy and confused. Katherina tried to sit up, but a wave of pain shot through her head. She put a hand to her head and groaned. A nurse came rushing in, alerted by the sound of her discomfort.

"You're in the hospital," a very intense fine male voice said. "I'm so sorry this happened"

Katherina's eyes widened as she took in Harrison's face. He was tall and broad-shouldered, with piercing blue eyes and a strong jawline. He looked every bit the part of a classic leading man.

"Do I know you?" she asked, her eyes searching his face for any clue. Harrison hesitated, unsure of how to answer.

"I don't think we've met before," he said finally. "But I'm glad I was able to help you." Katherina furrowed her brow, trying to make sense of it all.

Harrison leaned forward, looking at her with gentle curiosity. "What's your name?" he asked, his voice soft.

But then, Katherina hesitated. Something about this whole situation felt off. Why was Harrison so interested in her? And why did he seem so familiar, even though she was sure they had never met before?

"I'm sorry, I'm not comfortable sharing my last name with you," she said, a hint of defensiveness in her voice. Harrison's expression shifted, and he seemed to understand her reticence.

"That's okay," he said, his tone nonchalant. "The nurse will be in shortly to get your information," Harrison said, gesturing to the door. "I'm sure they'll need your name and some other basic information."

Katherina nodded, relaxing slightly. She was still a bit on edge, but Harrison's easygoing manner was helping to put her at ease.

Katherina's eyes landed on the tag inside Harrison's jacket, and her heart skipped a beat. "PY," she read aloud. "That's my label!" she said to her self.

Katherina knew that the suit was one of her most expensive designs, and she was flattered that Harrison had chosen to wear it. But she didn't want to reveal too much about her work, and she certainly didn't want to seem too eager.

Just then, the nurse entered the room, clipboard in hand.

"Hi, I'm Janine," she said, introducing herself. "I just need to get some basic information from you." She looked at Katherina expectantly. Katherina took a deep breath, trying to focus. She rattled off her name, date of birth, and address, trying to push all thoughts of Harrison and his suit from her mind. "Great, thank you," Janine said, making a note on her clipboard.

Janine cleared her throat, her professional demeanor taking over. "Your IV drip is all done," she said. "Would you like to take care of your bill now?"

Katherina felt a wave of panic wash over her. She had no idea how much the treatment would cost, and she was worried she wouldn't be able to afford it.

"I'm not sure if I can pay for this right now," she admitted, her voice cracking. Janine gave her a sympathetic look.

Katherina took a deep breath and prepared to explain the situation. "I know this sounds crazy, but you actually hit me with your car this morning," she said, her voice quivering. "And I woke up here, in this hospital, without knowing how I got here. I just...I need some help figuring this out."

Harrison looked at Katherina, trying to process what she had just said. "I'm sorry, this is a lot to take in," he said, his voice full of compassion. "But I'll sign the bills, and we can figure out what happened." Katherina let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much," she said, her shoulders relaxing.

As the nurse left the room, she couldn't help but smile to herself. Katherina and Harrison were clearly fond of each other, and she thought they would make a cute couple. She couldn't help but feel a little bit like a matchmaker. Back in the room, Katherina and Harrison looked at each other, both feeling a little bit awkward.

Katherina's eyes followed Harrison's hand as he reached into his inner pocket. She felt a wave of panic wash over her, thinking that he was about to give her money. She wasn't sure how to react, and she didn't want to accept charity. But to her surprise, Harrison pulled out his phone.

"I know this looks bad, but I promise you, I didn't hit you with my car," Harrison said, his voice urgent. He held out his phone and showed Katherina the footage from his dash cam. Sure enough, the video showed that he had swerved to avoid her, and there was no contact between his car and her body.

Katherina's cheeks flushed red with embarrassment. She couldn't believe she had jumped to the wrong conclusion, and she felt like an idiot. She grabbed her things and stood up, ready to leave.

"I'm so sorry," she said, avoiding Harrison's gaze. "I...I have to go." She quickly left the room, feeling humiliated. Harrison watched as Katherina hurried out of the room, her head down. He opened his mouth to call after her, but she was already gone. He glanced at her phone, which was still lying on the bedside table. He considered whether or not to try and return it to her.

As Katherina made her way down the hospital corridor, she saw someone familiar out of the corner of her eye. She turned and found herself face to face with her brother, Nathaniel.

Nathaniel stepped aside, revealing an elderly man who was using a walker to get around.

"It's so nice to see you Katherina" the elderly man who's last name was Steele said.

Katherina crouched down and gave Mr. Steele a gentle hug. He was so frail, and she didn't want to hurt him. He held on to her for a moment, before letting go.

"You're such a kind soul," he said, his eyes shining. "Your brother is a lucky man to have you as a sister." Katherina blushed, and Nathaniel laughed.

"Mr. Steele, you're going to make my sister's head swell with all these compliments," he said, shaking his head.

"What happened? Why are you here at the hospital?" Nathaniel asked, his tone serious. Katherina told him about the events of that morning, from the mysterious text message to the accident with Harrison's car. Nathaniel listened intently, his face growing more concerned as she spoke. When she finished, he let out a long sigh.

"What a mess," he said, running a hand through his hair.

They all entered the elevator together, unaware that Harrison was walking down the hall, a few yards away. As the elevator doors closed, Katherina and Nathaniel continued to talk about what had happened that morning.

"I'm so glad you're okay," Nathaniel said, his voice full of concern. "And I'm glad you're here with me," Katherina said, giving her brother a small smile.

Nathaniel's phone started ringing, and he pulled it out of his pocket to answer it.

"Hello?" he said, and a voice came through the line. "Hi, is this Nathaniel?" the voice asked. Nathaniel's brow furrowed in confusion.

"Yes, this is he," he said, his voice cautious.

"I'm calling about your sister, Katherina," the voice said.

Nathaniel held up his phone so that Katherina could see the screen. On it was the name "Andrew" and a picture of her boyfriend. Katherina's eyes widened, and she felt a knot of dread in her stomach.

"Do you want me to put her on speaker?" Nathaniel asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's better if I talk to Katherina directly," Andrew said, his voice sounding firm. Nathaniel nodded and handed the phone to Katherina. She took it, her hand trembling slightly.

"Hi, Andrew," she said, her voice quavering.

"What's going on?" Andrew took a deep breath, and Katherina could hear the tension in his voice.

"What do you mean what?", Katherina asked.

"You've been declining my call all morning"

"I never declined your calls," Katherina said, her brow furrowing. "My phone has been on silent all morning."

Andrew was silent for a moment, clearly confused. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice sounding skeptical.

"Yes, I'm positive," Katherina said, her frustration mounting. "I wouldn't just ignore your calls like that." Andrew was silent again, and Katherina could hear him breathing heavily.

"Why did a man answer the phone when I called?" Andrew asked, his voice sounding suspicious. Andrew was quiet for a moment, processing what she had said.

Katherina reached into her bag, searching for her phone. But it wasn't there. She felt a wave of panic wash over her. "My phone isn't in my bag," she said, her voice full of alarm. Nathaniel looked at her, his eyes wide.

"Are you sure?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern. Katherina nodded, her mind racing. "I had it when I left the house this morning," she said, her thoughts spinning.

Katherina's eyes widened as the realization hit her. "Harrison has my phone," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Nathaniel looked at her, his expression grave.

"That's not good," he said, his voice low. Katherina felt like the walls were closing in on her.

"What do I do?" she asked, her voice trembling. "We need to find a way to get your phone back," Nathaniel said, his voice firm.

As they were talking, the elevator came to a stop on the ground floor. The doors opened, and the nurse who had attended to Katherina earlier was standing there, looking at them.

Katherina took a deep breath and addressed the nurse directly. "Have you seen the man who brought me to the hospital?" she asked, her voice quavering.

"I remember him leaving," the nurse said, her face thoughtful. "He seemed to be in a hurry."

Katherina's heart was pounding in her chest. "Did he say anything?" she asked, her voice urgent.

"No," the nurse said, her expression apologetic. "I'm sorry I can't be more helpful." Katherina bit her lip, feeling frustrated and helpless.

Katherina walked out of the hospital, her head spinning. She looked around, searching for any sign of Harrison. Then, she saw him. He was getting into a black SUV, his back to her.

Katherina stared at the car as it drove away, and she saw something that made her blood run cold. Harrison had a grin on his face. He had seemed so kind and concerned in the hospital, but now he looked like a completely different person. He looked smug and self-satisfied, as if he had just won a game.

"This story is not going well" Katherina said, her voice barely audible.

Chapter 3 Flirting is not the main game.

Katherina checked her watch and realized that it was almost closing time at her work. She worked at a big design firm, and she loved her job. The company was going through some changes, and they were about to get a new CEO. Katherina's friend and coworker, Julie, had been discussing the new CEO with her while she packed up.

"I heard he's the only heir" Julie had said excitedly. "You cannot like him because you're engaged already" Julie added jokingly and Katherina laughed.

Suddenly, the door to the design studio burst open, and a tall, impeccably dressed woman strode in. Katherina and Julie both looked up, startled. The woman's gaze landed on them, and she looked them up and down, her expression cold and calculating.

"You must be Katherina and Julie," she said, her voice sharp. "I'm Abigail, the new CEO's fiancée." Katherina felt a knot of anxiety twist in her stomach. She didn't like her a first meeting already.

Abigail's eyes narrowed, and her mouth set into a hard line. "You girls need to understand something," she said, her voice low and threatening. "You will not speak of my fiancé, or dare to have a crush on him. Do you understand?" Katherina and Julie both nodded, too scared to speak. Abigail's gaze lingered on them for a moment, and then she turned and walked out of the studio, the door slamming behind her.

Katherina and Julie looked at each other, their eyes wide. "What just happened?" Katherina whispered, her voice trembling.

"I have no idea," Julie said, still in shock. "But I have a feeling that things are about to get a lot more complicated around here." Katherina sighed, her mind racing. She knew Julie was right. The atmosphere at the company was about to change, and she wasn't sure she was ready for it.

Katherina and Julie said their goodbyes, and Katherina headed for the door. As she walked out into the cool night air, she took a deep breath, trying to clear her head.

As Katherina walked home, she thought about the upcoming Mother's Day. She had always had a special relationship with her own mother. Katherina spotted a display of Mother's Day gift baskets in the window. She headed inside to browse the selection. She took her time looking through the baskets, trying to find the perfect one for her mother.

Finally, she spotted a basket filled with her mother's favorite tea, some gourmet chocolates, and a beautiful scented candle. Just as Katherina was about to grab the Mother's Day basket, another person reached out for the basket at the same time.

"I know for a fact that I grabbed the basket first," Katherina said, a determined look on her face not looking up at the person. "And if you don't believe me, we can check the CCTV footage. I'm sure it will prove that I'm right."

"Okay, let's check the footage," he said.

The voice definably sounded familiar to her and she looked up. It was Harrison the man from that morning accident.

They both stood there in the aisle, frozen in place, neither one of them moving. It was as if they were both caught in a moment of time, unable to break free. Katherina's mind was racing, trying to make sense of what was happening.

"I need my phone back," Katherina said, her voice shaking. "You have to give it to me."

Harrison raised an eyebrow, looking amused. "Your phone?" he asked, feigning innocence. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You took my phone this morning, and now you're pretending like you don't know anything about it?" she demanded, her eyes blazing. Harrison's expression remained impassive.

Harrison held up his hands in a gesture of peace. "How about this?" he suggested, his voice calm. "You can either have your phone or the basket. But you can't have both." Katherina was speechless. What kind of a choice was that? On the one hand, she needed her phone. But on the other hand, she had been so excited about the basket.

Katherina stood there, staring at Harrison for a few long moments. Finally, she made her decision. "My phone," she said, her voice firm. Harrison nodded, his expression unreadable. He reached into his pocket and pulled out Katherina's phone, holding it out to her. Katherina took it, her hand trembling slightly.

As Katherina looked up from her phone, she saw that Harrison was smiling at her. It was a small, soft smile, but it was unmistakable. It was almost as if he was proud of her for choosing her phone over the basket. Katherina felt a rush of emotions, from confusion to something else she couldn't quite name.

Katherina watched as Harrison walked away, heading towards the checkout counter. She trailed after him quietly after picking a smaller gift instead. As Katherina stood in line, her eyes kept wandering to Harrison. She couldn't help it. She found herself watching him.

Suddenly, Harrison turned and looked at Katherina, as if he had felt her gaze. His eyes met hers, and for a moment they just stared at each other, neither one looking away. Then, he spoke. "You know," he said, his voice low and calm,

"This piece of art was made in the year 1989. It's called the 'Love Trap,' because it's been known to make people, especially girls, fall in love with it."

Katherina's eyes widened at his self description.

"Do you want me for yourself?" Harrison asked, his voice low and even. He sounded curious, like he genuinely wanted to know the answer. Katherina felt her heart pounding in her chest.

The word hung in the air between them, heavy and awkward. "I - I - I don't," Katherina stuttered, her words tumbling out in a jumble. She tried to form a complete sentence, but it was like her brain had frozen. Her mouth opened and closed like a fish, but no words came out.

"My name is Harrison," he said, extending his hand to her.

"Katherina," she replied, her voice steadier now.

Slowly, she reached out and took his hand. His hand was warm and strong, and for a moment, she felt a sense of peace wash over her. Then, she pulled her hand away, breaking the connection.

Harrison nodded, a slight smile playing on his lips. "It's a beautiful name," he said, and Katherina felt her cheeks flush. She hadn't expected him to say that.

"Thank you," she managed to say, her voice a little shaky.

"Do you mind if I call you Rina?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle. Katherina found herself nodding, before she could stop herself. "I - I don't mind," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Katherina felt a flutter of butterflies in her stomach. It was a strange feeling, one she hadn't experienced in a long time. She didn't know how to react, so she just stood there, looking at him. He was still smiling at her, his eyes warm and kind.

After paying for his items, Harrison turned to leave, but he stopped at the door and looked back at Katherina. For a moment, she thought he might say something, but he just gave her a nod and walked out. Katherina stood there, staring after him, her thoughts racing. What had just happened? She had never met anyone like Harrison before. He was kind, and considerate, and gentle and a bit hard too. And yet, he had just left without saying goodbye.

Katherina's heart jumped as she heard her phone ringing. She pulled it out of her pocket and saw that it was an unknown number. Her heart was still racing from her encounter with Harrison, and now she was even more on edge. She answered the call, her voice trembling.

"It's me, Harrison," the caller said.

Katherina let out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding.

"I'm waiting outside the store right now," Harrison said. "If you want the basket, just come outside and I'll give it to you."

Katherina took a deep breath and opened the door to the store. As she stepped outside, she saw Harrison standing by a sleek black car it was a different one from the one he had that morning. He looked up as she approached, his expression unreadable. Katherina felt her heart race as she walked towards him, her palms sweaty. When she was a few feet away, she stopped, not sure what to say. Harrison smiled at her, and then held out the gift basket.

"It's yours if you want it," he said. "Would you be open to a kiss?" he asked, his voice gentle.
