Goddest of the Underworld

Jasper POV.

I waited impatiently for Carl , in the woods at the outskirts of Orion town where we do meet at night , I was impatient as my mother , the queen has observed my sneaking escapades from the kingdom.

I heard some footsteps looking back I saw her , my queen , an epitome of beauty with the deep grey eyes and shiny brown hair she gave me a fake smile and approached me . I gave her a brief hug ..." how are you my love "? I asked

"I'm not fine jasper , have been feeling ill lately, I went to see my friend who was a nurse and she confirmed I was pregnant 😱.

I scratched my hair roughly.... alarmed, I'm the heir to the underworld Golta kingdom and she is aware too , I can't afford to make any mistake, I sighed heavily.

"What are we going to do now" Carl said also alarmed . I hugged her tightly, " we are keeping the baby I said"

Carl POV

I raised my head to look at him, the man I love so much , I was alarmed , I pinched myself...how can I be pregnant for a prince in an underworld ,I'm I even ready to tell my grand mother ,the only parent I have left .

"I'm afraid that you won't be seeing me for a long time in order to save the life of our baby....we have an enemy kingdom (Gazai) and they might be monitoring us closely especially me , they would sought to hurt the baby if they get to find out please Carl you have to do everything possible to save this baby take this bracelet ,let it always be on her it would save her from harm....I would be going back to Golta and you might only see me in your dreams from now on I love you Carl".... He said with his arms wrapped around me . I broke into tears I have to do everything to save my baby and preserve the kingdom of the love of My life .

" I love you Jasper" I said he hugged me

"till we meet again " he said and vanished out of my arms.

I went home sad and worried i won't be seeing jasper for a long time I remember when we first met after having my bath by the stream and couldn't find my dress I looked back seeing a very beautiful man on white robe and royal beads like a prince holding my dress I collected my dress in awe and ever since we fell in love and meet in the woods close to the stream.

I was overwhelmed by Jasper selflessness for our baby , when I arrived at the house I became frightened seeing my grandmother sited on her old wooden chair obviously waiting for me .....I swallowed hard "

" You went to see your mystery man again? " She asked .

Mother lily has been my only parent since my biological parents died in an accident she had been my only relative ever since and has cared for me , she was worried about me seeing someone that does not belong to our world but got tired of stopping me from seeing him when she realize I have a stubborn nature and I won't listen either.....

"Yes I uhmmmm"......I stuttered . "you know I do love and care about you I don't want you to be in trouble , I'm the only one you have left and you my grand daughter whom I love so much " mother lily told me ...

I broke into tears remembering my parents and how their death had been a painful one for I and mother Lily I moved closer to her hugging her tightly.... " Mother there is something I have to tell you " I said

"I'm pregnant for him .....I'm pregnant for jasper ! He told me I had to save the baby and I won't be seeing him anymore as he is being monitored by an enemy kingdom he gave me this bracelet .... Mother I'm going to have a baby ...."

Mother Lily wrapped her hands around me placing her hands on my belly ....

"Im worried Carl , your baby is going to be from a royal home in an unknown kingdom in the underworld and now you are saying there is an enemy this is dangerous we can't keep this baby , we will go see Nora your friend tommorrow so we can find a way to prevent the baby from coming " mother Lily said.

I was frightened and broken but I won't hurt my baby I will fight to save her by all possible means , my love for Jasper won't even let me hurt our baby .....I'm sure he would fight hard to save me and my baby wherever he is I'm so confident of that.

"Mother No! I might die in the process, the baby is not ordinary ,besides I can't hurt my baby I love Jasper so much to do that, he would protect me and the baby wherever he is , I would wear this bracelet on her when she is born and she would be safe mother please let's fight hard for this baby together " I said shakily

Mother lily gave an uncertain expression sighed hard and hugged me tightly...." This is not going to be easy my dear have listened to stories about war in the underworld from my grandfather who was a priest and they were destructive , most time the heir to the throne and everyone related are attacked in order to take over a kingdom or rule over the entire underworld " mother Lily said

"I trembled with fear but Shaked it off...." So mother you know quite alot about the underworld how come my mother don't believe in them?"

" I know about them alot my dear , I have ancient books on basic information about the underworld and creatures there...your mother grew up with your aunt in the modern city before getting married to your dad in Orion here that is why she barely believe in mysteries"

" Mother I know we can fight to keep this baby with the information you have let's do this together I can't hurt my baby 🥺...mother please" I said .

"We would do everything to protect the baby my dear " she hugged me sighing heavily .

Gazai kingdom

In an hidden bowel of the earth very dark and gloomy, lies the Kingdom of Gazai where immortals dwell ....the king of Gazai , Belz was sited on his throne made up of darkness he had a crown on his head made of thorns , with a fiery eyes and long nails he has an horrifying huge body made up of fire and smoke , he roared so loudly and all entire inhabitants of Gazai kingdom assembled before him , he summoned Liah the goddess of darkness.....

" I'm not satisfied with being the second kingdom in rulership with the entire underworld ,Golta kingdom keep winning the rulership to the underworld and we have to take over what belong to us" Belz said .

The horrifying beasts and beings of Gazai screeched and growled in support of their king.....

Liah POV

" We would take over what belongs to ours my Lord , I so much hate how the Golta kingdom is growing everyday and still in charge of the underworld, we won't wage war against them this time , they always win as they have the support of other kingdoms ,this time I would monitor the royal heir closely , for any weakness or loopholes that we can take advantage of in order to destroy the kingdom , once a blood of Golta royalty Is ambushed and destroyed Golta would become vulnerable to us and they would surrender their rulership "

"Grrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhh' ! yes start immediately monitor that prince closely and immediately, I can't wait to see him crawling and begging me to spare him " Belz growled !

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhhhhh! The entire beasts and beings of Gazai screeched happily .

I smiled wickedly , it's time to act and have my way, I so much hate Golta with passion I want to have the prince lying vulnerable in my bossom while I use him to meet my dark desires and be the most powerful goddess in the underworld .

I went into my deep chambers a lake of hot fiery coals I brought out my dark mirror of the grizors, my mother gave it to me , it is the powerful mirror that can show me whatever I want to see ....

"Ha ha ha ha ha ! "I laughed wickedly ....the kingdom of Golta would be doomed soon and I would become more powerful .

Golta kingdom

In an hidden bowel of the earth surrounded by Kishi , an underworld made of bright light and surrounded by a large river lies Golta kingdom ,the most powerful kingdom in the underworld. king Talmi sat on the throne feasting with the royals he smile heartily to queen Mildred who sighed looking at Jasper.

" Why are you worried my queen" ? Talmi asked.

"Jasper has been sneaking out of the kingdom to the surface of the earth I'm afraid he is in some trouble we were attacked by Gazai years ago and I know they are still after us he has to be careful " queen Mildred said .

Talmi gave a knowing smile, my prince , the heir to Golta kingdom , has a lover in the human world that's sweet...." He said .

"Huh..... How did you know father ?" Jasper exchanged glances with queen Mildred.

Talmi laughed ....."your father is a wise king I have made my findings from the great priest and he told me you would have a lover and even a powerful daughter from the earth...."

Jasper POV

I blinked and swallowed hard ....my baby would be a girl and also powerful I have to tell them that Carl is pregnant before things get out of hands ...

"Your highness" I bowed slightly there is something I have to tell you and the queen...

" We are listening son" queen Mildred said curiously.

"Uhmmm.... I scratched my head hard "my lover Carl is pregnant with a baby "...I paused observed their shocked expression and continued "I told her that I have to stop seeing her but she should protect the baby , I gave her the royal bracelet to protect her "....

Talmi gave a deep sigh!.... "She would be a powerful goddess and she would be the one who would save us from a destructive war in the future , we have to save her by all means the Gazai beasts must not know of her existence , send a message to your lover to plant mushrooms around the house and keep an incense burning, she must not come out till ivory is born im afraid Liah' that evil witch would sought to kill the baby.....you can't go to the surface of the earth translate the messages to her through dreams go to the deep chambers of the priests to communicate with her .....hurry !"

I stood up alarmed and headed to the deep chambers of the priests..

The king and queen sighed worriedly.

Carl POV

"My love " he said to me cupping my face with his hands. Please don't go out till you've given birth . plants mushrooms around your house and also keep an incense burning , this would prevent our baby from being traced ....I love you always do this for us , he kissed me and I opened my eyes ....

oops it was a dream I stared hard realizing, then walked hurriedly to grandma's room.

" Mother lily, Jasper sent a message I saw him in my dream ,we have to plant mushrooms and burn incense , I must not go out of the house till she is born"

" This is serious than imagined, there Is an evil goddess from the enemy kingdom sorting for the baby grandma said as she flip the pages of an ancient book almost torn.

" An incense is used to prevent most powerful goddesses from being identified by the enemy but it is only temporary as with time as their potential powers and magnificence would be too extreme to hide " grandmother lily read aloud ."

I'm saving my baby by all possible means, wether temporary or not I have to save her first

" mother we have some ingredients to prepare the incense in the store room let's start immediately"

I ran to the store room panting heavily while mother stood up

"I would go sought for the mushrooms I'm coming " I heard mother said from the store room .

Gazai kingdom

In the chamber covered with thick darkness and a pool of fiery coals lies Liah holding the mirror of the grizors with her hands , chanting and invoking her dark powers.

Liah POV

"Amatuzzi kayaahmaiiiiii..... Mahanatangi shamasiiu. hail! The zors of the dark powers , the most powerful mirror of the Grizors , show me what I need to know ! Tell me everything!" Suddenly, My body shook terribly the clouds became dark and thick smoke emanated , there was lightning ...my chambers was shaking as though there was an earthquake, a greyed eye monster appeared on the mirror with a powerful voice...

"Jasper's lover is going to give birth to a powerful goddess and she would liberate the kingdom of Golta from destruction,His lover is from the human world but I can perceive she is alive I can't trace them , the more I tried to I can't figure them out, seems they have protected themselves from being identified , you have to do everything to kill the baby and prevent her from coming! " the monster of the Grizors growled and the mirror became blurry .

" Ahghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! "

Why is it that the Golta is always ahead of us , it would really take a while to figure out the mother most importantly the baby ....but I would be on the look out I would watch my mirror day and night for any trace, they might fall out of their covering anytime soon.

"Aha Aha Aha Aha " I won't stop until I have my way, I would be the most powerful goddess and Golta would be doomed forever !!!"

I walked out of my chambers very pained and angry.

Carl POV

I woke up yawning loudly, putting off the annoying sound from my alarm, I felt so weak and drowsy . I have never felt this way before and the feeling was a mixture of anxiety and Joy. I can't wait to see my baby and hold her in my arms , I anticipate what she would look like but I'm scared at the same time of the impending danger surrounding her birth. I left my bed to see grandmother Lily preparing the incense, the one we left burning is almost running out .

" Oh mother" I said giving her a smile"

"you won't leave the house till after the birth of your baby , I would go see Nora so she can come check your health regularly " Mother lily replied.

"Awww all these for me mother , I love you so much , you've always been there and you are still here , I will fight hard to save my baby because of your love and care for me , without you I can't achieve this" ....tears Welled up in my eyes as I hugged her.

" Stop crying my dear , stress is not good for you in this condition, I'm here for you ookay, now go and freshen up , I bought some beverages at the market yesterday....there are some pancakes and fruits left in the kitchen.....Mother lily said.

" That's why I love you so much mother" I gave her a peck on her cheeks and walked hastily to the bathroom....I'm very famished....

Golta kingdom

Jasper POV

I walked about my chamber quite relieved , I trust Carl to abide by my instructions and I also have to go see the priest.

I walked hastily to the priest chamber made of bright light , it radiates like the sun.....the chamber was deep and contains a lot of gem stones and jewels, the most valuable than any jewel in the entire underworld and even on the surface of the earth.

I bowed slightly seeing the old priest with slivery eyes and hairs covered in a white and shiny garment with gold patches , holding a golden rod.

" Long live the priest of Golta" I gave a bow

" Long live the prince and heir of Golta " he responded looking at me warily"

" My Lord I can perceive that my baby and lover are safe , I need to know what the future holds...for how long would she be covered from the eyes of the enemy"?

" She would be called Ivory! She would be the most powerful goddess in the underworld and would save the kingdom of Golta from destruction, However , the day she would be born , the incense and mushroom wouldn't be strong enough to protect her from being figured out , as her magnificence and powers would be too strong to be hidden , she would eventually be traced and figured out by the evil eyes , the royal bracelet would prevent her from any harm and it must not leave her hands, the priest said.

I sighed heavily, thank goodness I gave her the royal bracelet, I trust Carl to do as I instruct .

"Thank you great priest of the underworld" I gave a slight bow and left the chambers.
