Chapter 1 Pilot

Selena

My best friend Amy and I have plans to go to the mall for a pumpkin festival they are having and then head out to an outdoor concert downtown to listen to some rising rock stars.

I look in the mirror as I finished putting on makeup and gave my outfit one last look. My makeup is simple medium brown eye shadow, black mascara and a baby pink lip gloss. I'm not a fan of wearing lots of makeup. It makes me feel like I have cake on my face. I dress quite conservatively because I don't like showing of my body. Amy never understood this about me why I want to hide my curves.

I heard my phone ring.

"Hey"

"Come out"

"I'm coming"

I hung and head out.

"Where are you going?" My father asked me when I am just by door.

"Out" I replied without even bothering to look at him.

I got inside Amy's car.

"What's up girl"

"Nothing I'm done with school"

"You lucky girl school is banging my ass"

I start laughing.

Stefan

I don't want to go out. Why do people even go to mall when online shopping exists. My best friend Ben practically dragged me out of bed. He thinks I need to get laid. And Ben genius thought mall is the place to find me chick.

I am putting on shoes when Ben barged into my room.

"Dude come on we need to get going it's getting late"

"I'm sure girls in the mall won't go anywhere in the half hour we are running behind"

"Yes but other guys will snatch them up before we even reach there"

"Why do you want me to find a girl so bad? You have a girlfriend Spend time with her instead of eating my brain"

"I care about you and you need wingman"

"I don't"

"You are 31 and still single. You are hopeless on your own"

"I still haven't met a girl who falls on my standards"

"Lower your standards Get up show me your outfit"

I stood up and let out an aggravated sigh as Ben circled me like a shark. I am dressed in a dark blue jeans, a black button up shirt and black loafers. This whole idea is so stupid. Why did i agree to this?

"Although I'm not a fan of black but I must admit you look hot. If I were a girl I would have totally banged you"

I elbowed him.

"Seriously dude Ladies are going to fall at your feet"

"I don't want a woman like that"

"Let's go man who's driving"

"I am I don't trust you" I said firmly.

We walked into the garage. I unlocked my Porche got into my driver's seat. Ben started giving me tips but I turned up the music.

"Seriously dude"

"What" I said in an aggravated tone.

"Ok I will shut up but please change the music"

"It's my car and I will gladly drop you off on the expressway if you have a problem with the music I listen to"

"Rude"

"Did you expect my personality to change just because I agreed to go out to you"

Ben and I never agree on music. I enjoy listening to Opera while he would rather bash his head on the wall than listening to this. I like the more harmonious emotional signing.

I highly doubt I am going to enjoy this evening. But I have a gut feeling I would find something interesting Tonight. Let's see what happens. I just hope I don't regret this night out.

Chapter 2

We arrived at the mall. I am so excited. The fest is taking place at one side of the mall while in the rest business is going on as usual. Amy, I are looking around. Hoping we find something decent to buy. I am so hungry. It is 6. The fest doesn't start until 8 we got plenty of time to eat. After eating, we go to the clothing stores. Amy is ready to spend her money grabbing practically every outfit which is on display. I am more frugal with my money, unlike her. I take my time. i only buy it when i am absolutely sure about it. Because of this policy, I usually go back home empty-handed.

We are approaching Zara. Hopefully I will find a sale here. I badly need a clothes makeover.

Stefan

Forty-five agonizing minutes later, we reached the mall. There was a huge crowd. I hate crowds. There are many girls but the problem is they are either too young, too childish or too tramp looking. They look way too old for their age. they look way too immature. Or maybe i am the problem.

"Alright lets look at the chicks" Ben said.

He is way too excited for this. Just wait till his girlfriend finds about his behavior.

"Seriously"

"Yes"

"All these girls are either too young or too immature. look at how some of these are dressed."

"What are you talking about? They all look hot."

I shake my head. How on earth out of billion people i choose this guy to have a friendship with. I start walking in the opposite direction. I can hear Ben calling after me but i ignored it. I step into a store when i see her. She is the most beautiful woman i have ever seen. She looks no older than twenty five but one can tell she is mature. Her hair is slightly curled with simple highlights that is almost blended with her natural color. She is wearing a leather jacket, skinny jeans that is not too tight and black combact boot. She is wearing light makeup just how i like it. She has light freckles which is increasing her beauty. I think i just fell in love.

Dude what the hell? Ben caught up to me.

Oh i see. The look on my face must have made it visible what i am feeling while looking at her.

"She is perfect." I must have sid it out loud because i heard a reply from Ben.

"You are right about that i get it with a body like that.."

Before he could say more. I grabbed his arm and punched him in the stomach. I covered his mouth with my hand so no one could hear his painful cry of pain. I look at him dead in the eye and growled.

"If you ever talk like that about her again i am going to knock your teeth out. Do you understand me?"

Ben nodded his head. I let go of him and hunch over to grab his stomach.

"Dude chill. You know i do not mean it like that. Ben stopped to take a breath. Are you gonna talk to her?"

"No.... Not yet."

"Why?"

"I am going to scare her if i approach her this way. I need to make her like me back."

"How are you going to do that ?"

"By following her."

"Dude you sound like a creep. But i trust you do the right thing."

Chapter 3

Stefan

I continued to watch this beautiful

woman for the rest of the time

she was in the store. She only

bought a few pairs of jeans and a

black blouse that looked stunning

on her. After checking out, she

waited for her friend to finish her

shopping

She looked a little frustrated. I

wished I could walk up to her

and say, "hello." I had to know if I

was her type first, though. What

kind of men was she interested

in? What did she want in a man?

Also, I didn't want to be rudely

interrupted by her friend.

Her friend finished checking out

and walked toward her.

"Jeez, Amy, relax."

So that was her name. It suited

her.

I continued to follow the two.

From what I've heard, girls always

spoke to each other about boys,

so this was my opportunity to

learn what kind of men she liked.

However, that wasn't the base

of their conversation. The two

women spoke about work, school,

and plans for the future. It was all

beneficial information, but that

was information I could learn

while spending time together.

However, it was nice to know their

words didn't revolve around boys.

After visiting six more stores,

Amy only had two bags while

her friend had about seven.

young Woman.

"Should we go eat now?" her

friend asked.

"Yes. All this shopping has made

me hungry."

"What are you even talking about?

You hardly bought anything!"

"Well, I was waiting and trying to

keep up with you."

"Whatever. How much time do we

have before the festival starts?"

"About an hour."

"Great! That's plenty of time.

Where should we go?"

"Let's try Home Run Inn. I haven't

eaten there in a while."

They started walking to the

restaurant, and I ran ahead of

them, without being noticed, so

I could pick our seats. When I

walked in, the host greeted me,

and I gave him a generous tip and

instructed him to sit Selena and

her friend in a booth and leave the

booth behind Selena open. He

nodded his head, and I walked out.

I grabbed my phone and called

Ben; he had gone on his Own to

buy a few things. So much for

being my wingman.

"What's up?"

"Meet me at Home Run Inn. Now"

"We ate pizza last night!"

"I said, NOW."

"Alright. calm down. I'm coming."

He arrived at the restaurant. I made

sure to stand on the side, so they

couldn't see me. I watched as the

host showed them where to sit.

Selena sat down and placed her

bags next to her against the wall.

Very smart.

"God, she's beautiful," I kept

thinking to myself. My thoughts

were interrupted by Ben walking

up to me.

"Dude.. what's going on?"

I looked at him and rolled my

eyes as I walked up to the host. He

grabbed two menus and led us to

the booth behind Selena. Ben

looked at me when we sat down

and said,

"Seriously?"

"Don't question me. Let's just order

our food and shut up so I can hear"

Waiter came and Ben ordered chicken wings.

Selena and her friend ordered a

small pizza to share. I listened for

any talk about boys, but all they

discussed was politics, sports, and

their opinions on recent police

cases. They were both brilliant

Women.

"So.. have you met anyone at

school who has caught your

attention?" I heard Selena say.

Finally!

I wasn't interested in her friend's

answer, but perhaps a discussion

about her friend would help me

learn more about Selena.

"Well, there is this one guy."

"Go on..."

"He's in my calculus class. He's

brilliant, we have the same

interests, and he wants to be a

police officer! He asked me to hang

out for lunch, and he's treating."

"That's great! I know he said it's

his treat, but don't take advantage

and order expensive food. Also,

make sure you offer to pay for

yourself; you don't want him

thinking you're a gold digger.

Smart girl. Just like her wardrobe,

her personality is modest.

"I know, I know! I'm so excited! He

seems like a really great guy."

"When are you two gonna have

lunch together?"

"Monday, after class. We've been

working on a class assignment

together, and it's due that day, so

we thought it would be a nice way

to relax after insane amount of

hard work."

"Awwww, that's sweet."

"So, how about you?"

A wave of relief washed over me.

I am about to hear what I had

been waiting for this whole time. I

hoped she would say there wasn't

a man in her life.

"No one has caught my eye."

Good.

"Seriously? Why?"

"Well, all the men where I work,

"And what is your type exactly?"

I leaned closer to make sure I

wouldn't miss anything she said.

"Well, aside from the obvious, I'm

looking for a mature, financially

responsible, hard-working man

who is mature and disciplined but

can also be loving towards me. He

also needs to be older than me."

"Seriously? You set your standards

Way too high. You're not gonna

find a man like that nowadays."

"Well, a girl can always hope. I

Won't settle for less."
