She is lying on the ground with a gunshot in her head, and as I see her right now. Who did this to her? I don't understand why it couldn't have been me or anyone else. When I looked closer, I noticed that a guy was standing there with a rifle in his hand and staring at her body.
She has been my closest friend ever since I was born, the only person who was aware of my secret and the only other werewolf with whom I had a mutually harmonious relationship. The girl to whom I confided everything, the girl who helped me get through my first full moon, the girl who helped me get through my first heartbreak, and the girl who made sure I was okay after I took the life of an innocent person. Even though she had a bullet in her skull, I stood there and watched her. Nothing could make me move. The entire body of mine felt numb.
"Harriet, I know what you and Fleurette are," he informed her.
My partner, the young man with whom I was much in love. Totally and completely enamored with the boy who transformed me into a more compassionate and gentler person. I was able to let down my guard and reveal my whole heart to him. I could not imagine my life without the son I had spent my entire life guarding and protecting. There was no way I could tell him that I was a werewolf. I was aware that he would take my life. When it comes to the supernatural world, his family is a well-known and respected group of hunters. Despite the fact that I told him everything else in the entire world, I chose to keep this one item from him. With all of my heart and soul, I put my trust in him. Subsequently, he ends up killing Fleurette, who is my closest friend.
"Wesley...Why, why would you even think of doing this!" Suddenly, I found myself filled with wrath, and I yelled at him.
"Harriet, you were aware that this was going to take place at some point. The only thing I was doing was waiting for the right opportunity. Since you are aware of the fact that you are unable to conceal this information from me for an infinite amount of time," he moves closer to me while maintaining the gun in his hand and cups his other hand over my face.
"I come from a family of princesses and hunters. Or did you not believe that they would not have imparted any knowledge to me? This includes the ability to identify werewolves based on how a person behaves, how they are feeling emotionally, and how they approach particular situations." He enters the room and begins to wander around it. The expression on his face is dispassionate as if he had known from the moment we first met that he was going to do this.
"Everything you spoke to me throughout the course of the past year was meaningless, whether it was about going to the beach, going to carnivals, or climbing to the tallest possible building so that we could watch the night. None of that was significant in any way. The only thing you wanted to do was to take Fleurette's life and mine." I said this with tears flowing down my face, the anger dissipating and being replaced by complete and utter despair because I had finally come to terms with the fact that I had not only lost my partner but also my best friend for good.
"I am very sorry, sweety girl. You should know that there was a time when I didn't want to kill you, but your species was responsible for the death of my sister, and I just couldn't allow your kind to get away with it so easily. Indeed, your family was the one responsible for the death of my sister. I'll bet you didn't even consider it. During the spree that your older brother Henry went on, my sister got caught in the crossfire. Consequently, it is only right that I also take away his sister." There was a gun pointed at my head by Wesley.
"I am sure you are aware, Wesley, that my brother has been deceased for the past four years. How the fuck was I supposed to know that he had already had his revenge? He has already received his punishment." As I watch, I notice that he is gripping his revolver more tightly.
"I need to take action before I actually get shot," I thought to myself. "I have to do something."
"You don't know anything, Harriet, do you? Don't you know that? You probably don't even remember the four people whose lives you've taken since the day you were born. At this moment, I have the opportunity to exact revenge for the lives that you have taken away from me." When Wesley was about to fire, he said.
I ducked as soon as I noticed that he was moving his pointer finger such that it was gripping the trigger. I heard the gun go off as soon as I ducked, and I proceeded to get up and tackle him into the glass table that was in front of us simultaneously. I forced him to take the rifle away from him, and then I climbed on top of him and pulled out my claws. They were held up to his neck by me.
"I was surprised to see that you were willing to give up so easily, Wesley. You need to learn how to fight like a fucking beast." I spit at him, my entire body fueled by the anger that I feel.
"Wesley, I swear to you that I will not kill you. To tell you the truth, I do not care that I have killed innocent people. Yes, I have killed them. But I am going to do this so that anytime you forget about me, you will be able to remember that I am out there waiting for you to come back to me so that I can take out your fucking heart and display it for your entire fucking family to see." I respond, and then I take my free hand and bring my pointer finger up to my chin while keeping my claw pointed out. A deep scratch was applied to his cheek, just enough to leave a scar that would last for the rest of his life. I brought it up to his cheek.
"Goodbye, Wesley." In order to prevent him from expressing any thoughts or opinions regarding what I had just done, I pounded his head into the ground with the shattered pieces of glass. He became unconscious as a result of this.
After getting up, I made my way to Fleurette by foot. I knelt down to her body, brushed her hair out of her face, and used my fingers to close her eyes, which were still open. Blood was dripping down her face as I did this.
To God, Fleur, I am very sorry for what I have done. All of our plans were laid out in advance.
"Oh, God, I wish I could be here to protect you," I said as I began to crumble into tears.
I am no longer able to have a home in New York. It is impossible for me to remain in this house with my family, and it is much more impossible for me to remain here and think of Fleur' lifeless body lying on the ground. Taking out my phone, I dialed a number that I was confident would be answered by someone.
"Hello?" As the voice stated.
"Alex, can you do me a huge favor, please, and don't tell my parents." Even while I sob on the phone, I am virtually begging him to help me.
It's Alexander. Someone with whom I spent my childhood and with whom I developed a deep connection. Due to the fact that we were both born into powerful werewolf families, we were nearly brought up together. The only person I could put my faith in was him.
Oh, please take it easy. With apprehension, he inquired, "What exactly is wrong, Harriet?"
"Fleurette was murdered by Wesley, and I am unable to remain here. Kindly get me out of New York as soon as possible. Kindly let me know if you have a safe location for me to stay." When it comes to dealing with this situation, I will do everything.
I came across as heartless when I made this statement. The sobbing had ceased at that point, and the reality that they were both truly gone made life feel like a movie.
"As you listen, Hattie, I have a property in the state of California in a community known as Anaheim Hills. Do you remember the location where my family spent their childhood? My apartment is located there, and there is a pack that is able to assist you and make you feel welcome because they are there. I am able to make some connections and get you accepted into Anaheim Hills High School. Is that okay? Even though I am aware of what you are going through, I will not inform your parents about it. Just make sure they are aware that you are doing okay." Alexander stated in a serious manner.
"Yes, I will, and I beg you, Alex, I have to go away from here. I can travel across the entire country and bring all that I require." I said, trying to figure out how I was going to accomplish this in what I hoped would be a day.
"When is the soonest you're leaving?"
"I'm going to pack my things and leave a note for my parents today, and I'm going to leave by tonight because it's only 2:40 in the afternoon," I stated when I looked at the clock.
"Hattie, you must make certain that you get to your destination without incident. It is true, and I am sorry for everything that you are going through right now. There are some individuals in Anaheim Hills who are able to assist you in getting through this."
"It is my pleasure, Alexander. Seriously, I'll send you a text message as soon as I arrive. You have my love." My eyes welled up with tears as I spoke.
"Hattie, I love you just as much. Goodbye"
I said "Bye" and shut up the phone before turning my attention to Fleurette's lifeless form. Even now, I couldn't put my faith in it. All that is required of me is to leave her body and let my parents take care of it when they return back to the house. I really hope that they do not despise me for making this choice.
I went into my room and immediately began packing all of my essential items and the outfits that I needed to wear. After that, I grab each and every piece of luggage. In light of the fact that my family was essentially wolf royalty, they had a lot of money, which meant that I had a lot of money as well. The most significant things that I carry are my memories, such as photographs and books, in addition to my hair supplies, clothing, shoes, and makeup. And so on. I pause for a moment and gaze at a picture that contains Wesley, Fleurette, and me all together. It seems like an eternity ago when it happened.
When I was finished packing, I started loading the items into my car. I continued packing until I was finished. As a Porsche 911, my vehicle had a limited amount of space available to me. I never imagined that I would be required to bring it with me on a journey across the country.
My decision to leave a letter came after I had finished packing my car. I first started writing once I obtained a pen and some paper.
"To my Mother and Father...
Although I am deeply sorry to depart, I am unable to remain in New York any longer. It is obvious that I am probably the worst daughter in the world for doing this, especially considering the fact that you have always been so encouraging and have provided me with everything that I have required or desired. On the other hand, as you can see, something took place. Wesley was aware of our family and Fleurette's position in the family. There was Fleurette, the first person he saw, and he ended up killing her. When I returned home, I saw her body lying on the ground below me, with a bullet wound in her head. In addition to that, I observed Wesley sitting there with a firearm in his hand. Following his threat to take my life, I managed to avoid his bullet and then proceeded to tackle him through the table. Because he would have been able to escape with such ease, I decided not to murder him. Leaving him for you people to deal with is what I did. Considering that my dearest buddy throughout my entire life passed away, I am no longer able to reside there. It is impossible for me to return home from school and picture her lifeless body lying on the ground once I get there. In order to leave New York, I was able to have some assistance from a good friend of mine. I implore you not to come looking for me since I require some time off. In due time, I will certainly return. I simply require some time to process and recover. As of today, I have lost both my closest friend and the boy I love. There is a good chance that I will have left New York by the time you guys are reading this. We are extremely grateful to you, Mom and Dad, for everything that you have done. I will never be able to adequately convey my appreciation. Both of you have done an excellent job of instructing me on how to behave in self-defense situations so that I can take care of myself. Be careful, and know that I love you both so very much. Very soon, I will be returning."
After a total of four exhausting days, I finally arrived at Anaheim Hills. I sent Alexander a text message, and he provided me with a location to go to first. It would appear that his prior sort of beta, Oliver Valor, was the one who did it, but since then, he has become the actual alpha who does not kill. Alexander informed me about each and every member of the crowd.
He is Thomas Harper, a human being. In the past, he was possessed by a malevolent fox spirit or something similar, but now he is completely healthy and has returned to his human form.
Next up is James Hemingway, who serves as Oliver's beta. Inadvertently, he became Oliver's first beta, but it was for the purpose of preserving James's life.
Followed by Charlotte Nisim, who is also referred to as the Ghouls. It appears that she is able to feel death, and her voice has the power to kill you.
The next speaker is Eloise Hattie/Tate. As a result of her discovery that Mateo Hattie is her father, she is related to Alexander through her cousins. Furthermore, she is the coyote.
Also, is it true that Akemi Haku is also referred to as the kitsune? As a fox, she has the ability to live forever.
After arriving at the Valor residence, I once more read through Alexander's text messages. This entire town is a problem with the supernatural, and at this very moment, Oliver and his pals are absolutely in a mess with the supernatural.
I exit my vehicle, approach his door, and knock on it. I get out of my automobile. I hold my breath for a few seconds, and it is then that I notice a tall boy with brown eyes and black hair. Considering that Alexander indicated that Oliver appeared to be in that state, this is Oliver.
"Hello, my name is Harriet, and I am Alexander's friend. I'm not sure if he informed you that I was going to be there, but he did tell me to come by before I went to his apartment and set up the area." I said in a clumsy manner while giving Oliver my whole attention.
"Hey I'm Oliver, yeah Alexander told me you were coming but um I'm kinda busy right now." When he opened the door a little wider, he saw a young woman with reddish-brown hair who appeared to be unconscious but awake at the same time. At the same time, he saw another boy who appeared to be older standing next to her and holding her up.
"That's Charlotte, right?" I inquired while pointing to the young lady with the fiery hair.
"Yeah, did Alexander fill you In on everything that was happening?" Despite the fact that he appeared to be in a rush, he inquired.
"Doctors Elijah Anderson and Phantom are both terrifying. Regardless of what those items or individuals are." While appearing perplexed, I stated.
"To put it simply. It is necessary for us to take her to the hospital so that she can accompany us, and I will later explain what else is taking place."
"I said that it sounds nice." Following my statement, we began heading in the direction of the vehicle. My seat was in the passenger seat, and Oliver took the driver's seat. The older man sat in the rear with Charlotte, and I took the passenger seat.
"To begin, please explain what it is that drew you to Anaheim Hills. Why would you want to come here when you already have a life in New York?" Remarked Oliver.
"I saw my boyfriend murder my best friend for being a werewolf, and then he tried killing me," I told him truthfully. He pulled his gaze away from the road for a little while and glanced at me with his eyes wide open and a look of bewilderment on his face.
"I couldn't stay anymore, and I wanted to start over, so I had Alexander pull a couple of strings, and now I'm here, and I'm going to Anaheim Hills High starting Monday." Then I proceeded.
"It was Alexander who informed me that you are the daughter of the alpha of one of the most powerful packs in the United States. Does that make sense?" While he was uncertain as to whether or not I was, he questioned.
"Yeah, I get some special perks with that, like I can control if I want to fully turn into a wolf or not, faster than normal werewolves, basically an alpha but without the title," I said further. Being the daughter of a powerful alpha was advantageous for me since it meant that I could easily defeat anyone who came across me.
Additionally, Oliver continued to inquire about my background and provided an explanation of the events that had transpired over the course of the previous few weeks. Not much longer after that, we make our way to the medical facility and bring Charlotte inside. Charlotte was taken to a few different nurses and doctors by Ainsley, with whom I discovered his name while we were in the car. As we climbed into the elevator, Oliver began to explain where we were headed. He then urged me to follow him, and we resumed our journey.
A dinging sound is heard from the elevator, and it opens to reveal a pair of doors. As soon as we exited the vehicle, Oliver quickly peeked through the window of the patient's room. After a few seconds, another young man of the same age bursts through the double doors and shoves Oliver against the wall.
"Where were you!?" It was the boy who yelled at Oliver.
During the time that a woman, a doctor, and another individual are coming to separate the two boys, I retract my position.
Oliver whispers, "Your dad wasn't the only person who got hurt," and he emphasizes this point.
The child says, "Oh, you'll heal," and Oliver covers his chest with his jacket because he is bleeding through his shirt. "Oh, you'll heal," the boy says.
"Not me," Oliver emphasizes.
Following Oliver's explanation of what had occurred, the young child proceeded to the elevator. Oliver further explained that the young man was Thomas, who was his closest buddy.
Following Thomas's return to consciousness, we take a room in the medical facility. Ainsley, Thomas, and Oliver are the individuals in question.
"It could be a sign of shock," Ainsley suggested.
It's a catatonic state. It is Elijah who is rummaging around in her head of ideas. It was rapidly brought to my attention that they were discussing Charlotte, he pointed out.
"How could he possibly do that? What exactly is he trying to find?" The mother of Oliver continued.
"The thing he's always looking for, an advantage," according to Oliver.
At that point, Ainsley posed the question, "So, what did he gain by attempting to kill Harper?" I discovered that the patient was Sheriff Harper, Thomas's father. I learned this information.
Oliver stated, "It left me alone with James," about the situation.
Thomas had a plan to chat to Elijah after a few more minutes had passed, but Oliver would listen in by the top of the staircase to hear what they were talking about. This was due to the fact that Elijah believed that Oliver had passed away. I would also be present, along with Thomas, in the event that Elijah attempted to take any action. It is inevitable that they were all really perplexed about who I was or what I was doing there, but they ultimately got over their initial confusion.
Tomorrow is the day that I will finally meet Elijah. This ought to be an intriguing topic.
"Why'd you just come to Anaheim Hills now?" Thomas inquired while staring at me with a puzzled expression. Elijah was expected to arrive at Oliver's place, where we were waiting for him. I couldn't wait to find out what all the fuss was about.
"I've thought about asking Alexander before to get me out of New York, but a couple of days ago, it was my last straw." I required further explanation as to the reason he was inquiring. The impression I got was that he was making a charge against me. The fact that virtually all of his relationships are currently in a precarious state is undoubtedly causing him to feel anxious.
"Have you ever killed someone?" In response to Thomas's inquiry, both Oliver and I looked over at him, both of us appearing surprised.
"That's none of your business if I have or haven't." Because of all the questions that he was asking, this youngster was making me want to punch him.
"So you have killed someone?"
"If she does not wish to say anything, that is alright with me, Thomas. It is none of our business what occurred prior to her arrival in Anaheim Hills," Oliver stated, taking my side in the argument.
"No, Oliver, everything is okay. It's surprising that Alexander hasn't already informed you about it." I turned my piercing blue eyes onto each of them, which triggered the werewolf that was already present within me, and I stared at them.
If they hadn't taken the life of an innocent person, any other wolves would have had yellow eyes. A wolf that possesses blue eyes has been responsible for the death of an innocent person.
"How many?" With his gaze fixed on mine, Oliver inquired while maintaining his gaze.
"4 One of them was a mistake, and I deeply regret having made it. At this point, however, I could actually kill someone, and I wouldn't care about it." Sincerely, I stated it. As for me, I meant it. My recollections of that day keep coming back to me, and it is a memory of being a poor friend and mishandling the situation. I am being tormented by guilt.
"So you could kill someone right now and not care?" Both Oliver and Thomas looked at me as if I had just killed both of them right there at that moment.
"Yup, now when is this kid coming?" was my response. I had the desire to fully withdraw from the conversation.
"Actually, it should be soon, but Harriet, we have to finish this conversation and talk about rules here," according to Oliver. However, to tell you the truth, I couldn't care less about the "rules" that he has developed. Even though he is not my alpha, I am confident that I could defeat him in a battle.
With a sarcastic tone, I responded, "Yes, captain," while simultaneously saluting him and rolling my eyes.
The only thing that Oliver did was sigh and then proceed to the top of the stairs, where he crouched behind the corner in order to get ready for Elijah's arrival. Thomas was relaxing on the stairs, and I was standing next to him, leaning against the wall.
"In all honesty, you don't appear to be that terrible of a person. You have a good reputation, and you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to." As Thomas put it. It took me a moment to come to terms with the fact that I had never before been the recipient of such a statement.
The thought occurred to Thomas as he mumbled to himself, "Perhaps even a good addition to the pack."
I would like to know whether or not I am a part of this group. They are not capable of killing, but they are able to vanquish any danger that comes their way.
With a grin on my face, I remarked to Thomas, "I would go for that."
The pack was one of a kind and offered users a variety of benefits. I would finally be able to recover, and the guilt would be eliminated if I were to be included in the pack.
We waited there for a few minutes, waiting till we finally saw a car turn up. A young boy who appeared to be about the same age as us emerged from the vehicle and approached the front door. Although he's pretty, I don't share my opinion with anyone else.
The mountain dashboard that we had placed on the ground was the point of interest for him as he approached the front door. Before turning his attention back to Thomas, he looked at me and arched an eyebrow.
He added, "She's new," as he looked at me and then back at Thomas. "She's relatively new."
"She could probably kick your ass in a second." Thomas was correct, as I saw when I glanced at him. This man didn't appear to be very tough.
"My name is Elijah," Elijah stated to me as he glanced at me. Despite this, it is likely that you are already familiar with me. He gave me a sly grin as if he was pleased I was already familiar with his identity.
"Yeah, I don't care." I gave a sigh of relief. I had anticipated that he would appear to be some weirdo by the side of the roadway, but he did not look like this at all. Most importantly, he appeared to be far more tough than I had anticipated he would be.
After saying, "Fair enough," he turned his attention back to Thomas. While we were conversing with one another, Thomas simply sat on the step and listened to this conversation. My attention was drawn to Oliver's heartbeat. Surprisingly, he did not appear to be afraid, especially considering that Elijah was able to recognize his presence.
Elijah looked up the stairs past Thomas, and I simply stared at Elijah, trying to determine whether or not he could tell that Oliver was just sitting on the upper floor. While standing next to Elijah, Thomas threw the shirt to him. It was Oliver's shirt that Elijah used to kill him, and it was the shirt that Oliver wore.
"You killed my best friend," Thomas explained with tears in his eyes.
While Elijah was looking at the garment, he turned his attention back to Thomas. "Let's be honest, Thomas, was he still really your best friend?" remarked Elijah. So far, Oliver has not lied about his intention to listen in on Elijah's heartbeat in order to determine whether or not it jumps.
"You gonna let my father die?" As Thomas put it. If I'm being completely honest, he appeared to be emotionless. It seemed as if he was observing how I appeared when I saw Fleurette dead.
"If I wanted him to die, I wouldn't have told you where I could find him," Elijah stated as he looked back at me.
"I would have kept that information to myself." He examined every part of my body, and I felt shivers run down my spine as a result.
"Then why is he saying his body is shutting down?" Thomas spoke his thoughts as he ascended the staircase.
"That some toxins are poisoning him, and they don't know how to stop it." I decided to stop leaning against the wall because he was coming closer to Elijah. I was being cautious in case Elijah would do something.
"Thomas, I'm not the bad guy," he said.
"Simply put, I am a realist. I have survived this. If only you knew the things that I know," Elijah continued, but Thomas cut him off in the middle of his sentence.
"Well, what do you know?" Thomas raised a question.
"I know what's coming, I know what the dread doctors created, and I know what Ainsley is," Elijah commented. The fact that his heartbeat remained constant perplexed me the most. I also required clarification regarding the meaning of his statement that he was aware of what Ainsley was. The fact that Ainsley was supernatural like us was never mentioned to me by Oliver.
A solution was found by Charlotte. I was able to see it in her recollections. Next, Elijah proceeded. I became aware of what he had done. To get a better look at her memories, he inserted his claws into the back of her neck. Nevertheless, this was a power that could only be used by an alpha, and Elijah was not an alpha.
Thomas made the statement, "Right after you drove her out of her mind." The idea that Thomas has affection for Charlotte finally occurred to me.
"Collateral damage," Elijah referred to the situation. When I heard what he had just stated, I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Even if I were to drive an innocent girl out of her mind, I would not allow myself to be so callous.
"But if she's right about Ainsley, the things around here are gonna get a lot worse," Elijah declared quite loudly.
Thomas responded, "I don't care," in a manner that was essentially a whisper.
Elijah continued to yell out, "You should," over and over again.
"Cause if your dad does survive, he's not gonna be sheriff of anything much longer." It is now clear to me why they all have such a strong dislike for him.
"What's happening to him?" Still speaking in a hushed tone, Thomas said. Even though he was so concerned about his father, I would be just as concerned for him, especially if he were the only person I had left. After turning around, Elijah began to leave the building by going out the door.
"Hey, tell me!" Thomas let out a scream before rising to his feet, grabbing Elijah, and turning around. In order to prevent Elijah from taking any action, I moved Thomas to the side without causing him any harm and then seized him by the wrist. All of my fangs and claws were brought out.
As I watch him examine my face and eyes, he says, "Ah, she has blue eyes, and she is a fierce person." I'm going to enjoy this one. He said with a sneer on his face. After letting out a snarl at him, I became aware that my eyes had somehow become blue. Although I had hoped that it would not take place, I should have known better.
As Thomas put it, "Harriet, you should let him go; it's fine." My want to let go was strong. Because of the sneer that was on his face, I wanted to murder him. I couldn't help but think of Wesley's. As I let him go, I let out a groan.
With a sneer on his face, Elijah made himself right and glanced at me. "You are aware that it is the final time that I will allow you to prevail. You should brag about your strong sense of self-worth before you actually come up against someone. It was said by him.
"Trust me, I could beat you with my eyes closed, and I wouldn't need claws," I commented with smugness. Elijah gave me a grin before turning his attention back to Thomas.
"Thomas, you are really astute. When he started heading back to his car," he stated.
"You know how to help your father." He was referring to my father. The only thing that Thomas and I did was look at each other. Two of us looked, and we both saw Elijah drive away to check that it was okay for Oliver to come out of the building.
I told Oliver, "Give me your phone," and he complied.
"Why?" His expression was more befuddled than it had ever been.
I still need to take the time to go and set up Alexander's apartment, so I'm going to do that right now. In the event that you require anything, you can contact me by phone or text message. Sincerely, I stated it. I was given Oliver's phone number, and I entered my own number into the system.
Regards, Harriet, for everything you've done today. When Oliver stated, "You might even be a good addition to the pack," Thomas glanced at me, nodded his head in agreement, and grinned. All of this occurred simultaneously. With the exception of Wesley and Fleurette, this brought me joy for the very first time.
I uttered those words as I made my way out of the house and into my vehicle. "I would like that." Upon entering, I realized that I had the ideal plan. Gather information on the plans that Elijah has for Oliver. After giving this some more thought for a few more seconds, I got in my car and drove off to my new residence. I lowered the windows and had music playing in the background.
In any case, this new life might not be all that horrible.
