Friends With The Player

Hey, i thought i would just do a quicj authors note.

First off, this book is completely made up. All the fictional characters, the story line etc is made up. I'd also like to say that this book will contain many spelling errors and grammar mistakes. But please DON'T HATE. If you are coming to read this to pick out every mistake and leave hate then please LEAVE. I don't like hate and i would prefer if you kept your hate opinions to yourself.

Secondly, this is only my third book I've written and completed. I'm not peefect and this may be a little fast paced for you but i like it. I also think that the personality of the characters are funny and lovable.

Lastly, i want to say that this book has scenes with self harm in. There will be a trigger warning so if you are sensetive or easily triggered, then please dont read it.

Bailey POV:

The door bell ringing made me groan.

I paused Pretty Little Liars on Netflix, put down my ice cream and Nutella and then stomped downstairs.

My mother was out shopping and my brother, Cole, is at college. It wouldn't be him unless he got kicked out again so my guess was it was my mother.

To my surprise, I opened the door to see my best friend there. I frowned when i took in her appearance. Red, puffy eyes, blond hair in a messy bun with a over-sized hoodie and sweats. Her usually sparkly green eyes lost their spark.

"Come in Tay, what's wrong?" I ask moving out the way of the door so she could come in.

"It's just... It's Ross. Don't say 'I told you so' but he did, he did it just like he did to any other girl. I knew what I was getting into but I thought I could change his ways, change how he was but instead I was his toy" she says with more tears trailing down her face.

"It's okay" I say taking her into a hug. I'm so going to kill that jerk.

"I.. Am I not good enough for him? Why wouldn't he love me like I love him?" she cried more and I looked at her confused.

"You love him?" my eyes widen when she nods. My best friend fell for a player.

She honestly looked so broken right now.

"Want to sleep over tonight? My mum has just gone to the shops but would probably let us" I say and she nods.

"Alright, when she gets home we should go to the shops and get some food and films" I say and she agrees.

"He is an asshole and I don't even know why I still love him" Taylor cries and I take her into a hug and agreed with her.

You are probably confused as to what's happening and who Ross is.

Ross is one of the players of the school. Not the main one but one of them. He asked Taylor out, knowing her crush on him and she was over the moon. Now, she was heartbroken because he most likely cheated, like he always do.

There were 3 main players of the school: Sebastian Evans, Ross Smith and Brandon Woods. They were all hot but all heart breakers and now, I was pretty sure our other best friend Marie and i were the only girls in the school who haven't been broken by them.

My mum was fine with Taylor staying since it was like her second home. We also called over our over 2 best friends, Marie Snow and Tyler Wilks. My mum didn't mind Tyler sleeping since he is gay and my mum loved him anyway.

Marie Snow always reminded me of snow white. She was very pale and had black hair. It was like 'her thing' in our friend ship group to wear dark red lipstick. She had the body and looks to be a model.

Tyler was adorable. He had brown long hair and big hazel eyes. He wore black nerdy glasses making him look even cuter. He worked out regularly and was in good shape.

We all went downstairs and it was times like this that I loved that my mum was a cool mum.

"Hey guys" she says with a smile.

"Hello" they say and we sit down watching Magic Mike and all fan girling over Channing Tatum. Yep. Even my mother.

"Soo, have any one got a boyfriend?" She asked.

"Nope" I say, smiling cheekily.

"I did have" Taylor said and my mother's eyes widened.

"I'm sorry. What happened?" She asked sympathetically.

"He took me out to a restaurant for our date when he ran off with the waitress" she says and shrugs like it was nothing. She was trying to be strong and i was proud of it for her.

"Where is he too? I got a bat and I could probably find out where he lives" she threatens and Taylor chuckled.

"It's okay. I got these to help me" she says indicating to Snow, Tyler and I. And they all also calls my mum 'mama'. They always has.

"What about you Marie?" She turns to snow and she blushed.

"Snow!!" I exclaim getting up.

She blushed even more and something you should know about Marie is that She doesn't blush.... usually.

"Who is he??" I ask and she giggled.

"I'm not going to tell you who but I have been talking to a boy recently." She says and blushed.

"Do I know him?" I ask and she nods.

"OMG! My baby growing up" mama shouts and takes snow into a hug.

"I'm not a baby mama" she says and mama tuts.

"You're all going to be my baby, no matter if I didn't give birth to any of you except from you" she says and points at me. 'awhs' or 'i love yous' filled the room and my mother chuckled.

"What about you Ty?" My mother asks, turning to Tyler.

"Nope still single and ready to mingle" he says and my mom chuckled.

"You're just the cutest little thing ever" my mum laughed.

"Night, I'm going to bed. You munchkins don't stay up too late" she says and walks up stairs.

We spent a few hours watching films and having a food fight, but then I realised my mother was going to go mental so I tidied up. We had some talk and played Truth or Dare before I started to get tired.

Since it was Tuesday tomorrow, we all went to bed. I slept in the same bed as Tyler and it didn't necessary matter since we are best friends, whilst Marie and Taylor shared the guest room. They had spare clothes in their bag and, like my room, had a walk in closet and bathroom.

We had anther guest room but Tyler and I always shared a bed. I guess it was because he comforted me when or if I couldn't sleep or had nightmares.

I got changed into super short shorts and a oversized White Tshirt before hopping into bed. Tyler wore joggers and a black Tshirt before taking off his glasses and going to sleep.

I couldn't sleep. I got a pain in my lower stomach and winced. I went to the toilet and what I found was great... Fudge you Mother Nature!

Bailey POV:

Beep.Beep.Beep.Beep.

Groaning I slammed my hand on my alarm clock and stretched. Well that was the best sleep ever, note the sarcasm. I only got 2 hours asleep because some pains and nightmares.

I fudging hate it.

I saw that Tyler was already out of bed and my guess was he was in the shower in the spare guest room.

I got up and took a hot shower to refresh me. I walked out in just a towel to see the girls in the room and Tyler sat on my bed on his phone, already dressed.

"Damn girl, if I were into girls id tap that" he says when I walk in the room.

"Well thank you tyty" I tease with the nickname.

I got dressed in a pair of dark blue denim jeans and a white flowy top, leaving my hair down with my natural curls. I hated my hair. When I brush out the curls it made my hair go fluffy and I looked like a FRICKING lion. I loved the colour though, it was strawberry blond and I always loved how it contrasted with my eyes, even though I hate the colour. I have always hated my eyes. They are a dull brown colour.

"Ready?" I ask just as Marie and Taylor walked into the room.

Marie was wearing a red vest with black disco pants and Taylor wore a beautiful black lace top with blue jeans.

"Yeah" Taylor sighs and I look up at her.

"Tay, ignore him. You deserve 100x better" I say pulling her into a hug which she returned. We all left and Tyler drove us to school.

Once we got there I immediately saw Ross. I do wanted to punch him in the face and Marie must have noticed because she said

"Tyler, you need to hold her back when we get out".

Tyler nodded and I looked down to see I was clenching and un clenching my fists.

God damn it.

I got out and linked arms with Taylor and Tyler. Marie linked arms the other side of Taylor and Tyler chuckled.

"This is so weird" he says removing his arm and putting it over my shoulder.

We walked in and Ty kept his arm around my shoulder but the girls let go of me.

"Yo, Tay, can I talk to you?" Ross jogs over smirking. She was about to reply when I got our off Ty's grip.

Thoughts of what she said last night entered my mind.

He is an ass hole!

I deserve better

I never want to see or speak to him again!

She looked very happy but I could see in her eyes how she was feeling. She was heartbroken and my best friend shouldn't feel that way.

Without thinking, I said

"Don't talk to my best friend you complete and utter ass hole" I say walking over to him. I heard a deep chuckle beside me and I looked to see Sebastian.

"Feisty... I like it" he winks and I snort, which was very un lady like but I could care less.

"Yeah and this feisty one is going to kick your best friends ass!" I exclaimed and we, no doubt, had all the attention on us.

"Woah. Sorry cutie pie but I can't let you do that"he says and I would've blushed at the nickname if I wasn't so angry.

"Bails, come here" Tyler says and I turn to him.

"Yeah ty?" I ask but I am suddenly pulled into a bone crushing hug.

"Stay calm yeah?" He whispers and I nod. He kisses my forehead and let's me go.

"Tay" I say and she turns to me.

"Yeah?" She asks.

"Why you still stood here? Get snow and we will go in" I say and and if you didnt know is Marie's nickname but i am only for me to use it.

"Yeah okay"she says and I smile.

"But we needed to talk" Ross pouts and I take a deep breath.

"Yeah, shall we talk about how much of an ass hole you are?!" I question, smirking.

"Dude, control your girlfriend" Ross exclaims and I chuckled.

"1. He is not my boyfriend and 2. I can fight my own battles, because you are known as a player or your known for being hot doesn't mean I should bow down to you now does it?! Ugh lets just go" I say grabbing Taylor and Tyler hand and storming in.

"Wow babe I didn't think you had it in you" snow says and I smile.

"Are you okay?" I ask Taylor, rubbing her back.

"Yeah thanks for saying all that you know?" She says but I could sense sarcasm in her voice.

"What?" I ask

"He wanted to make it right and you just fucked it up" she says and my eyes widen.

"You were saying last night how you never wanted to speak to him again" I say in disbelief.

She shrugs.

"Sorry Tay, you can go and speak to him. I don't want to argue" I say looking down. She hugs me before apologising.

"No, I'm sorry. You know about how I feel towards him. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. I want to speak to him though" she says and I nod.

"Can you come with me though, just in case?" She was pouting and I nod.

The other two head to class as me and Taylor approach the guys.

"Hey Ross" she says walking up to him. He looks down, since he is tall, and smirks.

"Look who is back" he says to Seb and Brandon.

"Aww. Hey cutie pie" Seb says to me smirking and I raise a brow.

"Dude, Go on then. Talk to her we haven't got all day!" I say and he looks at me.

"I'm staying" I say and he huffs.

"So annoying" he mutters.

"Well thank you. It is one of my specialities" I say flicking my hair and he rolls his eyes whilst Brandon and Seb burst out laughing.

"I like her, she is funny, sassy and cute... Can we keep her?" Brandon says and Seb nods.

"What am I a fricking dog?!" I exclaim and Seb laughs.

"You just called yourself a bitch, you know that right?" He asks and I nod.

"Yeah" I shrug and I see Ross pulling Taylor away. She gave me a look not to follow so I wink at her making her blush.

"So, what's your name?" Sebastian asks winking at me.

"Don't you have one?" I ask raising a brow.

"Yeah but I want to know what my cute pies name is" he says and I smirk.

"Bailey" I say. "And what's your name?" I ask raising a brow. I knew I just wanted to see his reaction.

"You don't know my name?" He asks in disbelief and I shrug.

"Oh and nice name by the way" he smiles.

"Thanks, got it for my birthday" I smirk and he laughs along with Brandon.

"So what is your name?" I ask tilting my head to the side.

"Sebastian Evans" he says and I nod.

I bite back a laugh but when I see his face I can't help but to burst into laughter. This wasn't a small one either. It was the one where no noise would come out and you would be there clapping like a seal. I had tears streaming down my face.

"What?" He asked obviously amused at my state. Imagine a nerdy girl seeing a really hot boy and laughs rolling around in the floor clutching her stomach with no noise coming out. Oh and to make it worse it was in school.

I take a deep breath and turn around.

"Alright I'm going to be serious now" I say but when I turn back around I see Taylor trying not to laugh which makes me laugh.

"What's so funny?" Sebastian asked in an annoyed tone.

"You--nice--name --and --and then-- your --name" I say in between laughs and Brandon laughs.

"I get it!" He says and Seb looks at him.

"Explain" he says and Brandon clears his throat.

"Well, you asked for her name and then said it was nice so she said she got it for her birthday" he says and Taylor starts chuckling.

"And she pretending that she didn't know your name to see your reaction and she was laughing at your reaction" he explains and I nod.

"Are you a mind reader?" I ask and he chuckled.

"I'm just smart" he says and i laugh.

I look up and when she looks at me, I go behind one of the boys side so she couldn't see me.

"Shoot." I whisper, trying to sneak away from the teacher that hated me most.

"Um Bailey Richard why aren't you in class" she says, her voice was loud and preppy. She swooned over all the boys and i mentally gagged.

I shrug.

"Shouldn't you be teaching?" I ask and she glared.

"Alright keep your wig on" I smirk and she made it clear that I had a detention. Seb was trying to control his laughter but ended up laughing.

"Sebastian" she fluttered her eyelashes. I tried to hold in my laughter.

"Mmh?" He asked.

"You have a detention with her or come to see me after school, which one?" She batted her eyelashes and his face made me laugh. It resembled to disgust and he looked like he got violated.

The bell rang for second period and I went into the detention room.

"Bailey" the woman gasps. The woman was my art teacher Mrs

Smith

"Mrs smith" I mock and she shook her head in disappointment. I sat at the back of the class and put my ear phones in. There were a few people in here who I knew, Tyson, my ex boyfriend. Sally, queen bitch and Alisha just a girl really.

The door slammed open and Seb walked in. Sally and Alisha swooned over him whilst I rolled my eyes and Tyson muttered under his breath.

His eyes landed on me and he smirks before sitting next to me. I kept in my ear phones and put it the loudest it would go. I was listening now to sleeping with sirens Better off dead when Seb takes out an earphone and put it in his ear. He frowned at my choice of music.

"Why do you listen to this song, better yet this music?" He asks and I shrug.

" Heavy metal and rock music calms me and I just love it " I shrug and he looked at me wide eyed.

My eyes started to become heavy and I was debating whether to sleep or not. Seb didn't utter a word to me after I said that and I was glad.

Before I knew it the lunch bell rang and I lept out of my seat and ran in to the cafeteria.

Bailey POV:

I walked to our usual table to see the 'players' sat there. I frowned but I got my lunch and sat with them anyway.

"Hey baby girl" Tyler says and I smile.

"Hey" I say. He frowned.

"What's up?" He asked and I decided i should tell him.

"Come here" I say getting him to follow me. We headed out of the cafeteria and he leant against a wall.

"I had another nightmare about him last night. And I'm getting pains. I just, I don't want to deal with it all anymore. I cant even say anything like I usually do because the players are sat with us and.." I trail on.

"I know, you don't like having things in your mind" he says and i nod.

Tears rolled down my cheeks.

"I love you Bailey and I'm here for you, don't forget that. Ever" he says and hugs me.

"Now where's that beautiful smile?" He asks and I smile a little.

"There it is, now lets get back inside" he says and intertwines our hands. I smile and he kisses my cheek when we sit back down.

"Babe, have you been crying?" Tay and snow asks at the same time.

"I'll explain later" I say and they nod. Tyler wraps his arm around me and I cuddle into him.

"You sure you aren't going out?" Seb snaps and I was taken aback.

"100% sure we aren't." I confirm and he shakes his head.

"Doesn't seem like it" he says and I don't bother Replying.

"I'm gay" Tyler says bluntly and they nod.

"Yeah okay. Unless you are a guy, your deffo not going out" Seb clarifies and I nod.

"Are you okay cutie pie" he asks and I nod with my face hid in Ty's chest.

"I need to pee so I'm going to go" I say awkwardly getting up and walking away.

"Yeah, Me too" Taylor said and snow got up.

"Oh would you look at that, I need to pee also" she says and we all got up and went into the girls toilet.

"Are you and Ross good?" I asked as soon as we get in.

"Perfect" she says and I smile. If she was happy so was I.

"Why were you crying?" Taylor and Snow asked at the same time.

"Nightmares" I shrugged like I didn't care but tears swelled in my eyes.

"Babe I'm here, Taylor is here, Tyler is here. They guys are there" Snow said and I shook my head.

"Not really, they only hang with us because Ross and Tay are together" I say and she bit the inside of her cheek.

"Seb seems to care" she points out and I shrug.

The door was slammed open the queen bitch came in. Sally. You have got to be kidding me.

"Stay away from Sebastian" she threatens.

"He is the one who came over to me and sat next to me" I point out and she shrugs.

"I know how about you break up with Ross and you stop texting Brandon and you to stop talking to Seb and I will have them." She says empathising on the 'you' and 'I'.

"How about you stop being bossy and you should stop being a slut and I will live happily with no interference from you." I mock her. She flips her hair and walked away, cursing under her breath.

The Bell rang and I groaned and forced myself to go back to detention.

I saw Sally giving me a glare and I returned it.

"Why you glaring at Sally?" Seb asked curiously.

"She is a bitch and thinks she can tell me what to do that's why" I say angrily. I snapped my pencil out of anger and Seb looked at me.

"Calm down" he says and I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

Don't look at the bitch. Don't look at the bitch. Don't look at the bitch. I kept telling myself so I could keep my cool.

School felt like years and when it finally ended, I happily ran out of school.

Seb looked at me confused but I could care less, I carried on running until I got out of school. I saw Tyler's car but no Tyler.

I waited to wait for Tyler and the girls and when they came out they brang the players with them.

"Come on Ty, I want my nutella" I say but he looked at me apologetically.

Ty" I said wearily.

"Me and Taylor are going to the beach and wanted to know if you wanted to come? Sebastian and Brandon agreed but they wanted to know if you would" Ross said and I looked at my friends. They were all looking at me with puppy dog faces.

"Okay" I sigh.

"Sweet, you and Sebastian go to get ready and Marie, Brandon and Tyler would go and I will go with Tay?" He says and we all nod. I don't really have a problem with Seb. He is a huge player and i don't particularly like players.

Seb grabbed my arm and we walked over to his car. We got in and I looked out of the window whilst he drove. He went to his and asked me if i wanted to come in. Me, being the awkward and shy person I was told him I would stay in the car. He came out 10 minutes later and I smiled.

"Ready?" He asked and I nodded. I have him the directions to my house, which wasn't that far and got out.

"Coming in?" I ask and he nodded.

We walked in and my mum was watching tv.

"Hey mum" I say walking over and kissing her cheek.

"Hi gorgeous" she says and I smile.

"Hey Mrs Richard" Seb says, surprising me at his politeness.

"Please just call me Gemma" she says and shakes his hand.

"Okay Mrs-- I mean Gemma" he smiles and my mother turned to me.

"So where are you going missy?" She questions me and I smile a little.

"Me and some friends are going to the beach" I say really happily actually.

"Okay, go on and get ready cutie" she says making me look at Seb who was smirking.

"Okay thanks mum. I love you" I say.

"I love you too" she says returning to watch the film. I start walking up the stairs but then turn to see Seb looking at me.

"You coming up?" I ask and he nodded.

I walked into my room and put on my bikini and some black lace shorts and a white see through t-shirt on top. I put my hair into a messy bun and put my sunglasses in my head. I grab a towel and put it in my bag along with some other things I needed.

"Your room is nice" he says and I smile.

"Thank you" I say and he nods.

"You ready?" I ask and he nods.

"Come on then cutie pie" he says and this time I follow him downstairs.

"Bye mum" I say.

"I will text you if I need anything and I will let you know where i am. Love you bye" I say walking out.

Seb turned to me smirking.

"What?" I ask and he chuckled.

"When your mum called you cutie you looked at me" he says and I felt my cheeks heat up.

"Yeah, you do call me cutie pie" I say and he chuckled.

He opened the door for me and I smiled as if to say thank you. He ran to his side and we began out journey to the beach.
