Forgone Conclusion

Thank God for a beautiful day like today, when I can carry my own kids. It was a dream come through, because we didn't know that God will one day surprise us with a twin (a boy and a girl) after three years of our marriage.

We had everything we needed, money, love, cars and house. But something was lacking kids and this made our home incomplete.

Long before today, we hardly interact with people irrespective of the fact that we are very wealthy, this is all because we had no children to call ours. Today is truly one of the happiest day in my entire life and now i can boldly say "I am a father" said Alexander. We named our baby girl Helen and our baby boy Albert.

Days passed to weeks, weeks to months and months into years. My kids are now 2 years, so we decided to register them in a daycare center since we were two busy bees who valued our work but not more than our kids this time. I am a philanthropist while Emily my wife works in a company as a secretary.

"Alex, let's employ a babysitter who will take care of our kids while we are at work" said Emily. We argued on that because I didn't like the idea of employing a babysitter. After lots of argument, we employed Caroline as the babysitter.

Caroline was a hard working babysitter who valued her Job and took good care of our kids. She takes them to school in the morning and brings them back in the afternoon.

Caroline had a son (Jackson), who is also same age with our kids. She takes care of all them as her own children.

"Caroline, register your son in the same day care center with our kids" said Emily. Caroline wondered where she will get the money to register her son. "Ma, where will I get the money to register my son, I just started working last week?" Caroline asked. "Don't worry about the tuition, we will pay for it" she replied. Caroline thanked Emily and returned

Afternoon.....

Caroline goes to the daycare center to pick the kids. She enters the taxi that normally brings them home. She brings them outside the car. "Caroline take the boys upstairs, come back and pick the girl" said the driver. "Ok sir" she left. The driver was by Alex but they didn't recognize him as a kidnapper. He takes Helen inside the car and drove away with great speed. Caroline cones out to take Helen but she couldn't find the driver and Helen. "Helen! Helen!!" she wept and calls Helen's parents.

Alex and Emily returned home immediately and asked about their kids. "Sir! Ma! Helen was kidnapped by the driver who has been bringing us back from the daycare center" said Caroline.

Emily cried and cried throughout the night but couldn't be consoled. Our only daughter has been kidnapped and we will never find her again. Alex and Emily couldn't blame Caroline, because it was not her fault, the driver was employed to take kids and Caroline to and from from the daycare center.

Years has passed, Helen now lives with the driver (Henry), his wife (Anna) and the daughter (Olivia) in another city far from her parents.

Anna maltreat and beats her mercilessly whenever she makes little mistakes. She hawks for Anna while Olivia goes to school. Henry most times pities Helen whenever Anna beats her.

"We don't have to keep maltreating Helen, she deserves to be in school like Olivia and other children. I don't see it as a good idea Anna, because Olivia is not even intelligent. Let's try and send Helen to school am sure she will do more better than Olivia" Henry said.

" Never speak ill of my daughter again. This girl is not our child, wasting money on her will be to our own disadvantage. Am sure one day she will meet her real parents and they will take her back" Anna replied Henry loudly.

Helen was a good girl, she always do the right thing at the right time and she obeys Henry and Anna. "Mum, I just finished sweeping the house now, can I get some rest now?" She asked.

"No way! You must hawk the remaining fruits, when you get home, make sure you wash the whole plates and clean the whole rooms and compound before getting rest" she replied her with a loud voice.

Helen could imagine Olivia and other kids go to school, she ask Henry "Father, why am I not going to school like Olivia and other children?" Henry became speechless and couldn't answer Helen immediately but thinks of something to tell her "My dear, there is no money to send you and your sister to School. But I promise you will join Olivia in the next session" he replied.

Olivia is at home today she tries to put Helen in trouble. She push a plate from the table and the the plate broke. She told her mum Helen broke the plate while she was playing with it. Helen tried to defend herself but fails. Anna beats Helen and she cries bitterly.
