Forever Betrayed

My name is Kasara and I had just turned eighteen and was super excited because that means she would be able to shift and find her mate. I have waited for this day for what seems like forever. I am the daughter of Bata Charles and Laura. I am a member of one of the most notorious packs on the east, the Dark Forest Pack. I loved where I lived in the woods of Roanoke, Virginia, even though life was far from perfect.

Even though I am the Beta's daughter I was the focus of everyone's bullying. I am my no means the most beautiful. I was tall for a she-wolf, standing at 5'8", which is taller than most she-wolfs. I have long smooth red hair and freckles that cover my cheeks. I also have the brightest sea foam green eyes. I am not super skinny, unlike most she-wolves, but I am by no means fat.

I tried to tell my parents, but they were too busy with doing their duties to the pack, it seemed like they forgot they even have a daughter. I even tried going to the Alpha and Luna, but of course they did not believe me because my biggest bully was their son, future Alpha Declan.

I have no idea why I was the center of their aggression. I would go out of my way to avoid them. I did not like going to the pack house, even for pack meetings. But what happens when my biggest bully turns out to be her mate?

I woke up extra early so I could eat my breakfast in peace, but that was short lived. As I sat down at the table, I smelled the sweetest smell of woods and lavender. When I turned around, Declan was there staring at me with disgust in his eyes.

Declan stared at me with disgust in his sea blue eye. I did not understand what I had ever done to him or anyone. He then made a statement that I did not understand. Declan claimed that I was his. I knew nothing about what would happen when I found my mate. It was not magical or romantic in anyway.

I saw his eyes change from sea blue to silver with a ring of amber, so I knew he was battling his wolf for dominance. I was in such a state of shock that I almost did not hear his next statement, "I, Declan James Adams, future Alpha of the Dark Forest pack reject you, Kasara Skie Connor, as my mate and future Luna. He then walked away before I could say anything.

The sharp pain in my chest made me fall knees. Never had I felt a pain this intense. I did not understand what was happening to me.

I then heard a voice in my mind, it was my wolf, Lily. Lily whimpered in pain as she said, "that pain you feel is from being rejected". After a few minutes, the pain started to subside in my chest. When suddenly, a pain that was more powerful than the first shoots through me. The scream I let out was horrific. A scream that I did not know I make. Lily tried her best to calm me down. The searing pain felt like a hot poker that has been shoved in my chest. Lily is pissed, she knew exactly what it was, but she did not want to tell me.

Lily wanted to take control. I was hurting so bad that I was on the verge of unconsciousness. Lily finally achieved taking over. She pulled me up off the floor, marched towards Declan's room. She burst through the door, not even bothering to knock. There she found the most disgusting sight. Declan was balls deep in the pack slut, Ashley.

Declan looks up surprised to see me. It takes him a while to realize that my wolf took over. Ashley just looked up, did not even bother to cover herself up, and gives a devious grin. Lily is ready to loss it. Declan tried to get up, but Ashley wrapped her legs around his waist. Before Declan could react, Lily gave the exact same pain back to Declan. "I, Lily, wolf of Kasara Skie Connor, accept the rejection of Declan James Adams as his mate and future Luna." Lily then turned around and left the room. She heard Declan scream in agony as Ashley ran out of the door, still naked.

Lily continued to walk until we made it to my room. She packed as much of my stuff as quickly as possible. Once she has everything that she knows I could not live without, she then snuck out of the pack house. She quickly loaded up my car and got in the driver seat. Leaving everything that I once knew behind, she set out to make a better life for myself and my future.

I drove for hours until I needed to take a break. Lily had already given me control back. I had pulled over in Salam, Massachusetts. I booked a hotel room and settled in. I had to use cash for everything because I did not want Declan or any of the Dark Forest pack to find me. I had worked at a little diner in town back home. I had been saving it for when I found my mate to start out lives with. As I thought about how my life had gone so bad, I slowly drifted into a restless sleep. The next morning, I woke up with a strange feeling. I felt someone near, and it scared me.
