Jayden's POV

I stared at the big screen with keen observation and I scoffed

"Is anything wrong Sir?" Mr Benjamin, my fashion director and also the man giving a presentation in front of all the company board members asked

"Well, yes, yes something is wrong" I said and everyone turned to look at me

"Just..... Is this the great ending of the month plan you've been babbling about?" I asked

"Yes Sir" he replied

"Well it isn't so great after all, your...."

"But Sir....."

I slammed my hand on the table and everyone flinched

"Don't you dare interrupt me when am not done talking!" I said in an overwhelming tone

"I'm sorry Sir" he replied wobbly

"This is a fashion and modelling company and you confidently told me you'll come up with an amazing new line of Men's clothing by the end of the month and this is the best your dormant brain could come up with?!" I said as I flinged away the presentation file he kept in front of me

"Come up with a better line by next week or get ready to kiss your job goodbye, I do not tolerate incompetency" I said as I stood up

"I presume we are done here" I said and walked out

My secretary, Alice followed me from behind trying to keep up with my walking pace

"We've employed a new set of fashion designers for the company as you requested Sir, they'll be resuming work tomorrow" Alice said and I nodded

"I don't have anymore meetings do I?" I asked

"No Sir, you don't" she replied

"Good, I'm off then" I said as I entered my car

"Goodbye Sir" Alice said with a bow

"The mansion?" Landon asked and I nodded

He started the car and I closed my eyes enjoying the silence

"Today's the full moon night" Landon said and I pretended not to hear

"Will you be joining us at the Moon goddess's shrine this time?" He asked but I maintained my silence

"Audrey is at the mansion to attend the ceremony with you" he said

"What?!" I said and he smiled

"I guess I finally said something that got your attention"

"When did she get to the Mansion?" I asked ignoring his previous statement

"Just this morning" he said and I sighed

"Honestly? I don't think Audrey is the right Mate for you, I mean she's just as ruthless as you are, no offense meant but nevertheless, you should go for someone more...."

"The only reason you are still breathing is because you are my blood relative but if you continue to ramble on, I won't hesitate to cut off your tongue" I said

"Sorry Jayden" Landon apologised and the rest of the ride was in silence

"Jayden!!" Audrey shrilled as she ran to hug me

"Can you not do that each time you see me" I said as I walked to my room and she followed me

"Why not, you are my mate"

"Mate to be" I corrected as I entered my room and sat on the couch

"That'll change soon, we are getting married next week"

"Right"

"When will you announce our wedding to the media?" She asked

"I've already asked my Media aid to do that this morning" I said and she smiled

"Our wedding will be amazing right? Promise me you'll make it spectacular" she said and I scoffed

"You know an Alpha's promise is unbreakable, I'm always bound to fulfill the promises that I make so I don't make promises, I don't take that risk"

"Fine" she said with a sigh

"Yeah so what are you doing here?" I asked

"Tonight's the full moon night" she said

"And?"

"Come on, I told you we'll join the ceremony tonight and seek the Moon goddess's blessing for our union" Audrey said

"And I told you I care not about that fanatic goddess's blessing and therefore I am not going with you to seek any forsaken blessing" I said as I stood up to remove my jacket

"Jayden!!" She yelled "The Moon goddess is a respected being in my pack and I won't tolerate you speaking ill of her, the next time you say something like this, I'll make you regret it"

I walked towards her and grabbed her throat

"Don't you dare threaten me!" I said slowly as my fingernails grew and dug into her neck

"Jay..... Jayden you..... you're hurting me" she stuttered as she struggled to break free

"You should know that the only reason for our union is to unite our packs and increase my stronghold over all the werewolves so do not cross your limit Audrey" I said and pushed her aside

"You want to seek your dear goddess's blessing right? Fine I'll go with you but you'll be the one doing the seeking" I said and walked out....

"It's time Jayden, the pack is here" Landon said as he peeped into my room

"I'll be there" I said

He nodded and left

I stood in front of the mirror and stared at the Crescent Moon mark on my shoulder

"It's time" I muttered and left my room

I stood in front of the mansion looking at the whole Crescent Moon pack

"Pay your respect to the Alpha of the Crescent Moon pack!" Landon yelled and they all bowed

"Tonight is the full moon night, the night we reconnect with our inner and stronger self, a night we summon our natural born instincts, a night to remind us who we really are, tonight is the night of The Hunt!!"

"Yeah!!!!" They all screamed in excitement

"But as we go on The Hunt tonight, I don't want any injured wolves like before, we are not hunting ourselves but anything else out there in the forest, you come across a human being? You don't kill, you bring him to us to see if he is worthy of the werewolf bite and if he's not we let him go, we do not kill humans, those are the rules!!" I yelled

"Yeah!!!" They screamed in agreement

"The wolf with highest number of preys gets a reward and an increase in rank so are we ready?!"

"Yeah!!!" They screamed

"Are we ready?!!" I asked again

"Yeah!!!!"

"Then let's go and we shall all reconvene at the Moon goddess's shrine in an hour" I said and they murmured

"We?" Landon asked

"Yes, my Mate to be and I will be joining you at the shrine today, just for today" I said and they screamed excitedly

"So....... Let's go!!!" I said and they all turned into wolves, shredding their clothes into rags and running into the forest on their fours

"You aren't going with them?" Audrey said as she walked out of the mansion, towards me and I grabbed her waist, pulling her closer to myself

"I'm the Alpha, I don't participate, I command" I said with a smirk as I stared into her eyes

"So we have one hour to ourselves then, how do you suggest we spend that?" She asked and I lifted her up with her legs wrapped around my waist

I kissed her passionately and then looked at her

"What do you think?" I smirked and she nodded

I superspeed us back to the bedroom and dropped her on the bed

I climbed up her and pressed her down the bed as I tore off her cloth, kissing her neck

"I love you Jayden, I love everything about you" she said admist moans......

We dressed in an all white garment and went to the Moon goddess's shrine together where the Pack was already gathered

The Moon goddess's shrine is a big old tree that is right below the full moon

"It's nice seeing you here for the first time" Landon said

"Don't get used to it" I said as I walked with Audrey to the front of the tree

I looked beside the tree where everyone kept their preys and I smirked

"Someone caught a human, who?" I asked and he came out

"Your name?" I asked

"Ivan" he replied

"Is he dead?"

"No, he ran pretty fast immediately he saw me but I caught up with him and he collapsed" Ivan explained

"Is this your only prey?"

"No, I caught a boar, deer, rabbit and a snake" he said as he pointed at them

"I guess we have the winner of The Hunt then, Ivan!!" I announced and they all clapped and screamed

"Meet me at the Mansion tomorrow" I said to Ivan

"Thank you Alpha" he said with a bow

"So...... Should we or should we not turn our captured human?" I asked

"No!!" Some screamed

"Yes!!" Others screamed

"You should let the Moon goddess decide if you should turn him or not" Audrey said and I sighed

"Fine"

A white wolf came out of the tree and transformed into an old woman with white long hair and the mark of the Moon shinning brightly on her forehead

The priest of the Moon goddess

Everyone bowed and Audrey dragged me down to bow too

The priest walked towards me

"It was high time you come, she told me to expect you" she said and I scoffed

"Yeah right"

"Priestess of the Moon goddess, we've come to seek your blessing for....."

"Turn him" the priestess said interrupting Audrey

"Turn the human, you will need him" she said and I almost laughed

"I need no one" I said

"In fact the only reason you are seeing me is because Audrey dragged me here, she wanted to seek your blessing for...."

"She is not your destined Mate"

"What?!!" Audrey exclaimed

"Didn't I tell you this was a bad idea, you know what? I can't stand this anymore" I said as I turned to leave but I couldn't move

The priestess' eyes suddenly turned white, there was a heavy gush of wind and the moon shined much brighter

"It's the Moon goddess, she's possessed the priestess, this rarely happens" Audery said and everyone quickly knelt down

"Why..... Why can't I move?" I stuttered

"You haven't heard my message for you yet" the priestess said in an overwhelming cold voice

"I don't need to, you're trying to separate me from the Mate I want but who gave you that right? It is my life and I will take whoever I want as Mate"

"You made a promise, you are already bethroted to another" she said

"What promise?" I asked confused and she moved closer to me and touched the Crescent Moon mark on my shoulder

The marked lighted up, it felt like it was on fire and I screamed

Immediately I closed my eyes, I saw some flashes of different memories

The priestess took her hand back from my mark and the burning sensation and memories stopped abruptly

"You made a promise and it must be fulfilled, she is your destined Mate and choosing another as your Mate will spell doom for you and your entire pack, you are warned" she said and the priestess suddenly collapsed on the ground while I panted loudly.....

Jayden's POV

"Hey! Who are you?" I turned back to see a brunette girl staring at me from behind

"Well I'm a boy" I said unsure of the right response to her question

"I can see that, I mean who are you, tell me your identity" she said bodly

"I don't know, I can't remember" I said sadly

"You can't remember? How?"

"I don't know, I woke up by the lake this morning and the only thing I remember was my Mom telling me to wait for her here, that she would be back to get me" I said

"So you are waiting for her?" she asked and I nodded

She stared at me for some moments and came to sit beside me

"My name is Luna" she said with a smile

"There's no way I'll ever listen to that fanatic goddess's sayings!" I yelled

"You have to Jayden, she is our Matchmaker, you cannot disobey our goddess" Landon said

"I told you going to her for blessing was a crazy idea to begin with but you never listen do you?!" I said

"I.... I had no idea she was going to say this" she said and I sighed

"You don't need to worry Audrey, this won't change any of our plans" I assured

"What she said is utter nonsense!!" I yelled cutting Landon short

"If you disobey her, it will spell doom for our pack, she warned you" Landon said

"Then what will you have me do?! The girl that is my supposed destined Mate is a human girl Landon, I haven't seen her for more than 15 years now and I don't even know much about her, only her name, Luna, that's all, now tell me how the hell I am supposed to find her and convince her to marry a werewolf alpha"

"The goddess had destined this, she will find a way for you but now, you should cancel the marriage with Audrey, she....."

"No one is cancelling my marriage" Audrey said and cleaned her tears

"But you heard what the....."

"Yes I heard what the goddess said and I am telling you now, no one is cancelling anything!!" She yelled

"The wedding will go on as planned, no one is marrying Jayden except me" she said and walked out

"Crazy or not, she's powerful, she's the daughter of the Alpha of her Clan, I'm marrying her for her power so the wedding will hold, it must"......

I walked closer and slowly

For some reason, I'm scared

"Hello" I said

I slowly knelt down to tap the figure

"Ahhh!!!" I screamed and fell as I saw it's face covered in blood

The body is Landon's, he's laying there lifeless

I looked around and noticed that I was surrounded by dead bodies, the dead bodies of my pack, Audery was there too, everyone was dead

"You are warned" a cold but overwhelming voice said followed by a loud hysteric laughter

"Nooo!!!" I screamed

"Is everything alright? I heard you screaming" Landon said as he ran to my room

I stared at him for a while

I just saw this guy lifeless and covered in blood seconds ago

"Jayden, are you okay?" He asked again looking worried

"I am anything but okay" I said as I stood up and walked out

"Where are you going?" He asked as he walked after me

"I'll be back" I replied

"Ivan is coming, what should I tell him?" He asked and I turned back

"Who's Ivan?"

"You know, the winner of yesterday's hunt, you told him to come by the Mansion today remember?" He said and I nodded

"Just give him some money and fix him up a job in the company" I said with a wave of hand

"And the human we captured?!" Landon yelled

"I'll turn him when I get back!" I yelled back

I walked out of the Mansion and then I started running

I ran into the forest and soon I was running on my fours, shapeshifting into a wolf

I ran to the moon tree, where the moon goddess's shrine was and I howled

The priestess walked out and stood in front of me

"Shapeshift back Alpha, I doubt if I can communicate with you effectively in your wolf form" she said and I turned back to a human

"What brought you here?" She asked

"Tell your goddess to stop sending me those absurd dream" I said and she smiled

"She's warning you Jayden, so that if you continue being disobedient and her warnings come to pass? You won't put all blames on her like you did 7 years ago..." She said and I grabbed her throat

"Maybe I should just kill you so you can go meet your dear goddess, in hell" I said as I tightened my grip

"If.....if you kill me......you..... you'll never..... know....know how to..... find Luna" she stuttered and I released her

"Her full name is Luna Wilsford and if you love your pack, you'll obey the Moon goddess and make her your Mate" she said

"Is that all you know about her? Just her name?" I asked

I was expecting more

"Yes and I also know that you do not need to find her, she will find you Jayden and when you finally meet her, the goddess will show you a sign and you will know" she said and I shook my head

"I really should have killed you"

"I can't die yet Jayden, for one day you will come in tears seeking for my help, I am silently waiting for that day, the day the storm shall arrive" she said and walked back into the tree

"Bunch of manipulative beings" I scoffed and walked away....

"Take me to the captured human" I said to Landon as I walked into the Mansion

He took me to the room the human was held captive, he was awake now

"What is your name?" I asked

"John" he answered

"Do you realize where you are?"

"I don't know but I do know you'll kill me eventually so just do me a favor and get on with it" he said and I looked at him surprised

"You don't seemed to be afraid of dying John"

"Before your men captured me, I was going to kill myself anyway, I came to the forest to commit sucide so it doesn't matter if I do it or you do it" he said and I squatted beside him

"I don't know what happened to you and I don't really care but I am going to give you a gift now, a chance to be reborn stronger, I'll release you from the grip of your painful memories, I'll cleanse all the memories you have as a human and you won't remember a thing when you wake up, the bite is your second chance at life John, it's your gift"

"What....what bite?" He asked looking at me and I smiled

I leaned over his neck as my teeth grew longer and sharper, then I dug my teeth into his neck, biting him and depositing my venom on his blood stream

He screamed and then became unconscious

"Welcome to the Crescent Moon clan John" I said as I stood

"You know what to do" I said to Landon and he nodded

I was about walking out when I heard a wolf howl

"Did you hear that?" Landon asked and I nodded

"I think someone from our clan is in trouble" Landon said

"That is not someone from our clan, that is Audrey and it's not a howl of distress, it's a howl of hunting" I said

"Hunting?"

"Take care of things at the mansion" I said and I ran out

I superspeed into the forest as I tried to follow Audrey's scent

"Audrey!!" I called

And then I saw a wolf tearing apart a human

"No no no" I said as I ran towards her

I kicked her and she hit a tree and shapeshifted back to human

"How dare you interrupt my hunt!!" She yelled and I walked towards her and slapped her

"Is killing humans in broad daylight your idea of a hunt?!!" I yelled

"I.....I needed something to release my stress and take my mind off what that priestess said"

"Audrey, we have lived in this city silently and unnoticed for years and I won't let you jeopardize that, you want to live with me you'll have to follow the rules, we do not kill humans! Killing humans and littering their dead bodies like this in the woods would only bring us unnecessary and unwanted attention, the reason for this marriage is to make my pack stronger but if you are now the one putting us in danger, then you'll leave me no choice than to break our alliance so think straight Audrey, think straight" I said and walked away

"Are you going to the company today?" Landon asked as I walked back into the mansion

"Yeah, get the car ready" I said

I stared at myself in the mirror as I dressed up

"I should've just killed them, both the priestess and Audrey, they are the pests bordering my life" I muttered

I walked out of the mansion all dressed and entered the car

"What time should I come pick you up?" Landon asked as he stopped the car in front of the company building and my secretary rushed to open the door for me

"I'll call you when it's time" I said and got down from the car

"Good morning Sir" Alicia greeted

"I have a meeting this morning right?" I asked and she nodded

"Yeah, with the manager of Exclusive boutique, they want to hire some of our models, then you'll meet our newly employed fashion designers and lastly, you'll have an interview with the national TV regarding the new clothing line that was just released plus the news of your wedding that our Media aid released to the public yesterday" she said and I nodded

"Since I'll be having such a long day, we should get started then"

"Yes Sir, the director of Exclusive boutique is already waiting for you at the meeting room" she said

We went to the meeting room and I met with the director, we struck a deal and concluded the meeting

"The new employees are waiting for you in your office" Alicia said

We went to my office and 3 employees were waiting for me, two female, one male

They bowed immediately they saw me walking in

"Introduce yourselves" Alicia said to them

"No need" I said raising my hand

"I don't have the time to listen to your introduction and I don't really care about knowing your names, you want me to know your name? Do your job excellently and get recognized by me but if you do otherwise, then get ready to say goodbye to your jobs for as you all are already aware, incompetency is forbidden in this company" I said

"Yes Sir" they all said uniformly and I felt a tingle on my shoulder

I ignored it and I started walking out

My shoulder brushed against one of the employees' and the Crescent Moon mark on my shoulder burned

"Ahh" I grunt in pain and the employee quickly touched my hand

"Are you okay Sir?" She asked with concern and the memories all came at once

I looked up at the employee panting

"Are you okay Sir?" She asked again still holding my hand

I grabbed her hand and the burning sensation on my shoulder intensified

"My name is Luna Sir, Luna Wilsford" she replied.....

Luna's POV

"Sweetie? Sweetie wake up, today's your first day at work"

I furrowed my brow as I tried to open my eyes

"Leave me be hunnie, there's no harm in being five minutes late" I said and repositioned myself on the bed

"Right but I heard Jayden Ashford is going to be your boss" she said and I sprang up from the bed

"Oh my God, the authoritative figure and inflexible boss, you should've woken me up earlier Daisy!!" I yelled

"Don't you even yell at me, you were the one that suggested we drink all night to celebrate your new job, I just woke up too!"

"Oh right, I'm sorry hunnie, I am just agitated, you know the reputation that preceeds Jayden Ashford, I'll be damned if I get on his bad side on my first day" I said

"I heard he has nothing like a bad side, you mess up? You are so fired immediately" Daisy said and we laughed

"Let's get ready, I'll drop you off on my way to work" Daisy said and I hugged her

"Awwn, this is why you are my hunnie, I'll be ready in no time" I said and dashed off to the bathroom

"You look great hunnie" I said to Daisy

"Let's not talk about me, gosh look at you, you are dressed to kill"

"Yeah, dressed to kill Jayden Ashford's ego" I said and we laughed

"Let's go sweetie" Daisy said and we got into her car

"You should be careful though, your new boss has a really bad reputation" Daisy said as she drove

"Don't worry hunnie, you know me, I always do my work diligently, apart from the introduction that's to take place this morning, I'll take the opposite way whenever I see him coming so I'll be fine" I said with a smile

"That's my sweetie, oh and guess what, your new boss is getting married next week, it was on TV this morning"

"Wonder who the unlucky lady is" I said

"Her name is Audrey Castle, apparently she's some hotshot too" Daisy said and I nodded

"I"m just imagining it, how did the grumpy Jayden Ashford manage to ask her out? I can't even imagine him saying I love you to anyone, and after the wedding, can you even imagine such a strict guy having sex and moaning" I said and Daisy burst into laughter

"Stop being silly sweetie, everyone has sex and strict guys even tend to be more good at it" she said with a wink

"Ewwww" I made a disgusted face "Let's stop talking about that, imagining it already seems so creepy" I said and we laughed

"You know the only thing good about your boss?" Daisy asked and I shook my head

"And rich" I winked too and we laughed again

"We are here" Daisy said as she stopped the car in front of the company

"How's my Mom doing?" I asked before getting off

"She's same but you do know you have to pay the hospital bill for the 2 months you owe, the only reason the hospital hasn't asked you to come take her home is because I work at the hospital but even that grace will expire if you don't pay soon" she said with concern written all over her face

"Don't worry hunnie, I have a job now, I'll pay the hospital bills immediately I get my first paycheck, take care of her for me, I'll check on her after I'm done with my work here and thanks for everything hunnie and for the ride" I said as I got down from the car

"Take care sweetie and don't get in trouble with your grumpy boss" Daisy said

"Sure I won't, bye" I waved and she drove off

I looked at the mighty building in front of me and I heaved a sighed

This is a new chapter of my life, I just graduated from a job seeker to a job owner, let's make it worthwhile

I walked into the company with an air of confidence after making a resolution that I'll do my best at this job

According to the notification I received, I was to stop by the secretary's office on the third floor

I got to secretary's office and I met three other people there

Moments later the secretary walked in and we exchanged greetings

"First, my name is Alice Greene, you can call me Alice, I am the secretary of Mr Jayden Ashford, the CEO of CM Enterprise who is now also your boss. Being a new employee here I'm sure you've heard a rumour or two about Mr Jayden and I assure you all the rumours are true, he's a no nonsense man so if you want to be a long-term employee here, I'll advise you to do your job not just well but excellently well and stay clear of him unless in unavoidable situations. Talking about unavoidable situations, you guys will be meeting him today for introduction, be in front of his office by 11:30am sharp, he hates lateness and clumsiness. And finally, you can go to the fifth floor which is the fashion designing floor, you'll be briefed on your work there, once again, welcome to CM Enterprise and I hope your stay here will be long, interesting and fruitful

"Who...... what's your name?" He asked

"My name is Luna Sir, Luna Wilsford" I replied and he stared at like he had just seen a ghost

His eyes pierced into mine for some seconds and I could feel my heart beat rising faster

"Are you okay Sir?" Alice asked and he quickly let go of me but not his eyes, he was still staring into my eyes

"Everyone leave" he said coldly

They all started walking out including Alice

I hesitated a bit and decided to walk out too, he said everyone after all

"Not you" he said as he grabbed my hand again

The rest of them walked out and he shut the door

I became scared as I realized the situation I was in

What's wrong with you Luna, even the secretary warned that we should stay clear of him, why on Earth did you go on and touch him!

"Sir.....sir I..... think there's..... there's a mis.... misunderstanding, I honestly didn't mean to touch you, I...... I was just concerned when......when I noticed you winced in pain, please...... please for..... forgive me" I stuttered

He let go of my hand and I heaved a sigh of relief, the worst has come to pass

But before I could say Jack Robinson, he gripped my throat instead

"She sent you didn't she?" He asked as he tightened his grip

"I'm.... I...... I...... can't....... can't...... breath" I stuttered

He released my neck and I fell on the floor panting

"Go back and tell her that I said no, I'll only marry whomever I choose and I refuse to fall for her whims!!" He yelled and quickly went to his desk, brought out a white envelope and threw it at me

"Your employment is hereby nullified, that is your dismissal letter, never show your face in my company again"

"Dismiss?" I said in utter disbelief as I stared at the white envelope

"But Sir? This is just my first day at work and I really need this job, if it's because I touched you then I apologise but I really need this job Sir, my Mom......my Mom has been in a vegetative state for 6 months now and I'm owing the hospital 2 months hospital bills, this job is my only hope of paying please Sir, please forgive me" I cried

He walked towards me and grabbed my face

"Whatever you are going through is your business not mine, I don't want you in my company and that's the end of it, I don't want to see your face again now get out!!" He yelled and I flinched

"Do I need to call the security to throw you out?" He said and I managed to stand up and I clumsily found my out of his office

This all seems like a nightmare, I hope to wake up from it soon...

Jayden's POV

"Sir, it's time for your interview" Alice said as she walked into my office

"Get out!!!" I yelled and she quickly dashed out

What plan is the Moon goddess concocting?

How on Earth did my supposed soulmate find a job right in my company at the exact moment the goddess required me to find her and marry her? What are the chances of this happening?

This was all planned by the goddess I'm sure of it, I won't let her control me

I trusted her once and she failed me, she's deceitful and I won't let her deceive me into such a stupid marriage

"Ahhh!" I screamed as I suddenly felt a bolt of pain through my head, like someone was cracking my skull

"Ahhh!!" I screamed again as the pain intensified and I noticed my nose was bleeding

I took my phone and called Landon

It rang twice before he was able to pick it up

"Where the hell have you been?!!" I yelled and I winced again as my head felt like it was collapsing

"This isn't Landon, this is John, he was with me when suddenly, he grabbed his head screaming and then he collapsed" John said over the phone

"What?! You know what? Get help from the other wolves in the mansion and take him to the Moon goddess's shrine, I'm sure this is one of her tricks too, I'll be there soon" I said and ended the call

I searched my drawers frantically and found a car key

I tried standing up but I fell back on my chair

The headache is unending

"Oh I know you are behind this Moon goddess but will you give me some minutes of solace lemme go meet your mouthpiece!" I said as I tried to stand up again

I took the car keys and rushed out of my office

"Sir, the interview!" Alice yelled after me but I didn't stop

I got into my car and drove off in a high speed

The headache was still there, it was still ripping through my skull and I was starting to feel dizzy

"Damn you goddess" I cursed under my breath

The path to the Moon goddess's shrine was hidden, can only be reached by walking and not with any vehicle

So I drove as far as I could into the forest and I got down from the car and started walking

I'd walk a few paces, fall, struggle to stand up and continue walking again

And it went like that till I finally got to the shrine

Landon was lying unconscious on the ground, John, Audrey and a few other werewolfs were standing beside him

"Jayden!!" Audrey screamed immediately she saw me

She ran towards me and grabbed me

"Are you okay Jayden?" She asked worried

"I'm fine" I managed to push her away and I went to where Landon was laid down

"Where's the priestess?" I asked

"Right here" she said and I looked up to see her right in front of me wearing a creepy smile

I felt like tearing her heart out of her chest right there and then but I had to keep my anger in check

"What is the meaning of this?!" I asked coldly

"You know what it means Alpha, you are running out of time, the goddess wants you bonded to your mate right here in 7 days time" she said

"I care not of what your goddess wants!" I said and my head ached again, so badly that I screamed and went on my knees

"You have no choice Alpha, her Will is your will too"

"But her problem is with me so why the hell is Landon like this!" I yelled and the priestess bent down and touched Landon's forehead

Landon sprang up panting

"What....what happened Jayden, I totally thought I was dead" Landon said and the priestess stood up

"The goddess brought your Mate right in front of you but you denied her and disregarded the goddess's decree, Landon being like this is your undoing Jayden, this time only you and those you share a blood relation with was affected, next time it will be you and your entire pack, and they might not survive it, 7 days Alpha, that's all you've got" the priestess said and walked away.....
