Author: : Wu Xiaoyan
Genre: Romance
After finding out that her fiance cheated on her and with her half-sister no less, Sandra drowned her sorrows in the comfort of another man. Levi thought it was just going to be a one night fling but he was in for a wild surprise. Shamelessly, she came to him with a marriage agreement. She wasn't in search of love, but rather just a husband. She didn't care if he was a playboy, as long as he was a handsome one. She was quite content with everything under her control...or so she thought. He wasn't about to give up his tricks that easily.

Chapter 1 First Intimate Encounter

The early morning sunlight passed through the leaves and branch gaps and cast long tree shadows as it moved toward houses and buildings. The sun's warmth made its way across the horizon through the wind, and a warm, gentle breeze ruffled the leaves, lightly stirring the curtain.

Lying on the bed, Sandra Sheng shivered from the breath of chilly air, and her long lashes moved gently. The bright sun shone upon her face, and she unconsciously shielded her eyes with the back of her hands. The pain she felt all over her body fully awakened her.

What made her mind clearer was the sight of a naked man after she opened her beautiful eyes. What the hell was going on?!

Sandra Sheng tried her best to recall the events from last night. However, throbbing pain in her head stopped her soon. She only remembered being in the casino early that evening.

But how to explain that she was lying here now? Did she have the superhuman ability to return with her spiritual sense? Then what about him? Using her spiritual sense would not be able to bring him back.

Sandra Sheng stared at the man snoozing soundly on the bed. He had an unfamiliar look, tanned skin, a straight-edged nose, and a gorgeous sleeping face.

She was in a daze for a moment. A few seconds later, the look she gave at the man on the bed turned intense. Good-looking men were all playboys, just like that bastard Jeremy Ji.

He was her ex-fiance, and the only person she would never forgive or forget in her entire life, including the day she arrived home and saw plenty of clothes scattered all over the ground. The mixed clothing belonged to a man and a woman, with some pieces already torn apart. The trail of outfits extended to the bedroom like a map.

Sandra Sheng peeped through a crack on the door and saw two people making out on the bed. However, the woman entangled with Jeremy Ji was no other than her half-sister from her father's side.

Sandra Sheng burst in, kicking the door open. The loud sound of the door crashing to the wall attracted the two people's attention. Jeremy Ji's eyes widened after turning around to see that it was his fiancee, and he almost rolled out of bed.

While hastily putting on his pants, he strode towards Sandra Sheng.

She stepped back and surveyed the entire room in disgust.

"Don't come near me, you filthy pig,"

Sandra Sheng demanded.

The cool breeze then snapped her out of her nightmare and brought her back to reality.

Enduring the pain and headache, she put on her clothes and tied up the man on the poster bed's frame with a rope. After making a dual confirmation, Sandra Sheng stood aside, holding a baseball bat. She tapped the cold metal rhythmically with her fingertips.

When Levi Song woke up, he could not fully open his eyes because a beam of sunshine flashed in front of him. He wanted to cover his eyes with his hands only to find that he could not move because he was tied up. Seeing that it was Sandra's doing, he grinned.

His expression irritated her. She swung the baseball bat and hit Levi Song's shoulder hard. The force felt so painful that his head tipped to one side. He frowned and remained hushed.

Sandra bent over and whispered in his ear, "Now I have the upper hand. You'd better recognize the situation."

Levi Song looked at her calmly, and there was a trace of panic in Sandra's eyes. She pretended to cough a few times.

"Cut the crap! Tell me now! How did you get here?"

Levi Song replied helplessly, "Miss, you gambled so hard in the casino, yet you did not have enough money to pay up. Have you forgotten? You invited me to the bar to drink until midnight, where you kept on emphasizing your name to me the entire night, and then I sent you back. Did you also fail to recall this part? Also, you held my hand nonstop and would not let me leave."

Levi Song showed her which hand it was.

Hearing his words, Sandra seemed to remember something. Last night, she wagered in the Phoenix Deer Club. She bet on whatever her mood necessitated and did not care much about the result.

However, no matter how much she drank, she always forgot what happened the night before. How could she know if this man spoke the truth?

Staring into Sandra's suspicious eyes, Levi was too helpless and did not want to explain anything.

"What else did we do last night?" Looking at the mess on the floor, Sandra soon realized how stupid her question was.

Levi chuckled. "Sandra, kindly untie the rope for me so I can repeat what happened last night for you."

Sandra's face flushed in an instant. She held up the baseball bat and attempted to hit him.

"Well, do you want to return kindness with aggression?" Levi raised his eyebrows and looked at Sandra.

Sandra did not know whether to put the bat down or hold it up, so she threw it directly. She took out a crisp hundred dollar bill from her wallet and threw it to Levi's face. "This is the tip for last night. It is too much to pay one hundred dollars for a toy boy like you."

Then she stepped out of the room without looking back.

Levi was lost in his thoughts when he saw the crumpled money on the ground. Submerged in his memory, he smiled. 'Sandra, you have not changed a bit.'

Then he regained his serious expression. A drug must have slipped into his drink last night, or else how could he end up unconscious with no control of himself? Fortunately, he met her.

As soon as Sandra went out, she ran into Yvonne Sheng, her adopted sister. She was Sandra's current CEO assistant.

Sandra first noticed the one-piece Dazzle dress in her hand. It was pink all over and inlaid with diamonds.

She inadvertently glanced at the dress that Yvonne wore. It was pure white with no intricate details. An idea came up to her at once.

"Take off your dress for me," Sandra ordered.

"Why? No Sandra, you cannot wear my gown for the wedding. What about this one instead?"

Yvonne Sheng took a deep breath before continuing, "Try it on. It is all up to how you carry yourself if you want to appear more charming than the bride."

Sandra glanced through her watch and realized that alcohol would indeed hold things up. It was already time.

Sandra got out of the car, took a champagne glass, and made her way straight to the newlyweds in the middle of the venue. During this moment, some reporters noticed her and began pressing the shutters simultaneously for fear of missing anything. It caused quite a stir and attracted more attention.

Jeremy had a look devoid of any emotion as he observed Sandra walk toward him. With a trace of panic in his deep-set eyes, he comforted himself that Sandra wouldn't make a scene, with so many reporters, business people, and personalities around, and secured Amy Sheng behind his back.

Taking notice of his defensive stance, Sandra smiled harshly.

"You've done such an impressive job to end up together. You should live side by side until the last days of your lives." Sandra's words were brutal and emotionless, and her wishes sounded more like curses.

When Amy Sheng was about to lose her cool, Jeremy held her hand.

"Sandra, we can talk about anything that needs to be discussed later."

Jeremy attempted to pull Sandra away from the venue, but she dodged him. His hand abruptly suspended in the air.

"What? Are you driving me away so soon?"

Amy Sheng couldn't stand it anymore. She shoved Jeremy aside despite his best efforts to block her from getting near Sandra. She didn't want Sandra to ruin her wedding. She looked daggers at Sandra as if she wished she could murder her on the spot.

"You just revealed how bitter you are, Sandra." As Amy Sheng spoke, she reached out for Jeremy's hand. Sandra sneered and glanced at the reporters next to them. Amy Sheng thought Sandra would do something awful, so she took a step back. Without warning, Sandra stepped forward and hugged Amy Sheng.

She whispered something only Amy could hear.

"Don't worry. I will ruin your wedding beyond any doubt."

Amy pushed Sandra away wildly.

Sandra didn't have enough time to react and stumbled backward. The reporters feared that they would miss some sequence, so when Sandra closed her eyes, she heard a series of digital shutters clicking nonstop behind her.

Just when Sandra was ready to embrace the ground, someone gripped her waist, and when she opened her eyes, she was already held in his arms.

Sandra looked up and recognized the face she had seen early this morning.

"It's you again? You are stalking me!"

"Silly woman. Am I that crazy in your eyes?" Levi waved the invitation card in his hand. He was also one of the guests.

Sandra eyed him with suspicion.

"You'd better be telling the truth."

"Sandra, you should say thank you to me in this situation, shouldn't you?" Levi lifted his brows, indicating that she was still in his arms.

The crowd exploded into an uproar. The reporters continued clicking the camera shutters. Yvonne, who came in a hurry, also clamored together with the onlookers.

The Ji Family's power was at the upper level in HX Country, so no one dared to get involved in such a situation. But when did her sister know Levi? From how the two people behaved and acted, she knew they were very familiar with each other. Now, it was time for Jeremy to be scared of trouble.

Jeremy and Amy's faces showed utter astonishment, and Jeremy came to his senses first and patted the back of Levi's shoulder.

"Mr. Levi, what a pleasant surprise that you could grace us with your presence right now. It's our honor to have you on our wedding day."

Chapter 2 A Successful Counterattack

Levi sneaked a glance at Sandra. She stared at Jeremy icily, who was complimenting him. If a knife was nearby, he was uncertain if Sandra would stab them both to death.

"My father had no choice but to accept Mr. Jeremy's invitation. He doesn't want to show up at such an insignificant event, so he asked me to go here instead."

Levi didn't look at Jeremy as he spoke but kept patting the spot where Jeremy had just touched.

Such brutal words Levi expressed so casually not only shocked Jeremy, but also prompted Sandra to stare at him in a different light.

Levi seemed to have a strong background, at least more powerful than the Ji Family.

Everyone around them exchanged glances at each other. Although Jeremy was mad, he dreaded Levi's power. His face turned crimson, and he didn't say a word. Sandra slightly laughed at his hilarious looks.

Amy couldn't stand it anymore. How could the Sheng Family's union with the Ji Family feel threatened by the Song Family? Despite Jeremy's hindrance, she rushed over to Sandra to slap her, but Levi, who was in front of her, stopped her hand.

Levi frowned and looked at her with a stern expression.

"Miss Amy, don't you have a respectable position in your family, right?"

"What do you mean, Levi?"

"You two are daughters of the Sheng Family, but now you are going to slap your dear sister in public. How inappropriate! You must haven't learned the etiquette."

When Amy was close to losing her temper, Jeremy, who was next to her, whispered in her ear, "The Song Family is not something we can afford to offend, and you are..." Amy's intense glare halted Jeremy's words from completing. Even if she was an illegitimate daughter, she was still a member of the Sheng Family.

Then she scowled at Sandra.

"Sandra, just don't forget what you have pulled off on my wedding day. I will watch you cry when Levi dumps you."

Sandra was not the type that anyone could trifle with. But now there was Levi who stood up for her, and yet nobody could offend this man. Why didn't she take advantage of that?

"Then, remember as well it's me who provided you the groom."

Levi took a champagne-filled glass and handed it to Sandra. "There's something this occasion needs."

Sandra understood what he meant. She took the drink and splashed it on Jeremy's face, catching the newlyweds off guard. Amy, standing beside him, got sloshed as well.

"So, how do you feel to sleep with your sister-in-law?"

It never occurred to Jeremy that Sandra would throw this on his face in such a causal way.

The microphones and cameras around him recorded a genuine picture of his defeat.

He disregarded his manners as a well-bred man and declared ferociously, "I had no choice but to break up with you. It was because of your sex apathy."

The people nearby gasped in disbelief. The sound of digital shutters clicking made the place seem like a concert scene. The president of the Legend Company, which controlled the entire HX Country's fashion industry, had a sexual desire disorder! Such explosive news was more sensational than today's wedding.

Sandra stared at Jeremy coldly. His smug expression provoked Sandra to whack his face, and she did so. But when she lifted her hand, a figure took a quick step ahead of her and punched Jeremy hard until he landed on the ground.

His decisive action shocked Sandra. His noble aura exuded hostility with murderous intent. He eyeballed Jeremy coldheartedly, but the latter didn't dare to look back.

Levi soon held Sandra tight in his arms, as if claiming his jurisdiction.

"Sex apathy? I believe you have the ingenuity to assess this kind of nonsense," Levi announced to the reporters with a serious appearance. His sudden action and explanation shocked everyone present, and the shutter sound was much lesser.

Sandra allowed him to embrace her and kept praying that he wouldn't mention what had taken place this morning.

When Amy came to her sense, she scrambled to check Jeremy's injury. She forgot she had on a fishtail strapless wedding gown and unintentionally stepped on her dress' hemline. Her negligence fully exposed her private body parts.

Even if Jeremy was still on the ground, he promptly took off his suit to cover her. Faced with so many cameras, Amy looked so flustered that she could only scream in mortification.

"Let's go!"

Taking a swift look at Sandra's gown, Levi removed his suit jacket and put it on her, which startled Sandra.

He then murmured in her ear, "Wear more clothes in public later."

Sandra's cheeks flushed, and there was an indescribable feeling in her heart.

Despite Jeremy was exasperated, he had to hold back his anger now. In addition to watching them leave, he had to answer more harsh questions from the reporters. But no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't explain it clearly.

Looking at the hand clasped by Levi, Sandra was in a trance for a quick moment, but soon she recovered. No matter how amazing the memory with Jeremy used to be, it all felt like a dream now.

True love was not suitable for her.

"Hey, how long do you want to grasp my hand?" Sandra shook off Levi's hand, but he gripped hers back.

"Hey, who are you calling since last night?" With a playful smirk, Levi looked at Sandra's eluding eyes.

Sandra stretched out her other hand to nudge Levi, but he stopped her at once.

Sandra had no other option but to glare at him grimly. Levi felt awkward with her cold stares.

"Remember the name Levi Song. He is your savior," he said as he prepared to leave.

Looking at his sculpted back, Sandra yelled out, "I didn't ask you to do this for me."

Levi turned around and said, "You're welcome."

Sandra was at a loss for words.

Levi's unexpected rescue act at the wedding once changed Sandra's impression of him, but now she assumed that once a playboy will always be a playboy and never a gentleman.

Even when Yvonne drove the car over, Sandra was still thinking how such an ignorant person could exist in the world!

"Sandra, you were exceptional today. Now the entire HX Country knows what an idiot Jeremy is."

Sandra didn't pay attention to Yvonne. She was still immersed in her thoughts.

"Sandra, are you listening to me?"

"Yvonne, please investigate Levi's background for me."

Although Levi was smooth-tongued and persuasive, she didn't feel offended with what he said, and he gave her a feeling of familiarity, though it seemed impossible. If she had met him before, she would definitely remember that.

Yvonne chuckled, and Sandra looked at her with a frown.

"Sandra, you don't have to investigate Levi. I can tell you now."

"Do you know him?"

"He is rich, handsome, and generous. He is a real playboy."

Looking at the puzzled expression on Sandra's face, Yvonne sighed and thought about how pathetic her sister looked.

"Sandra, it's understandable that you don't know Levi. But have you never heard of the Song Family in HX Country?

He is Hertha Song's son!" Yvonne exclaimed.

A bomb was dropped in Sandra's mind.

She doubted what she just heard.

The Song Family and the Legend Company were both dominant companies in the fashion world, but Sandra's Legend Company had always fared slightly better. The silent war with Hertha Song had already drained much of Sandra's energy. Now her son just got involved in the picture.

How she wished that all the mess was just her another dream!

The next morning, before Sandra could fully wake up, she heard Yvonne clamoring outside her bedroom. When she opened the door, Yvonne almost jumped on her.

"Sandra, take a look at today's news."

Sandra took the phone and didn't see the leading news. She only saw a few blurry bed photos, but the figure seemed vaguely familiar.

"Sandra, do you recognize this figure?"

"Yes." Sandra continued to look at the image carefully.

Yvonne put her arm around her shoulder and said, "Sandra, please tell me it's not you."

Sandra looked at Yvonne in surprise, and then peered at the photos once more and nodded. Yvonne placed her hand on her forehead and groaned,

"Mom and Dad asked you to go home. Take care. I'm leaving now." Yvonne gave Sandra a meaningful look to show her sympathy.

Sandra was in a stupor when she traveled back to the Sheng Family's house.

In the living room, Travis Sheng sat on the sofa with a serious expression. When he heard the door open, he didn't turn his head. Sandra's mother winked at her, and she had to step forward.

"Dad." At the same time, she caught sight of the daily newspaper on top of the coffee table. Although the naked body on the front page was blurry, it was still disturbing enough.

"Is this you in these photos?"

"Yes!"

"Is this guy who created a ruckus at Amy's wedding with you?"

Sandra hesitated and said nothing.

"Are you still a kid?"

Sandra sneered, "I wondered if you still remember what I looked like when I was a kid."

"What did you say?" Travis Sheng stood up angrily.

He couldn't stand Sandra's attitude anymore. When he was about to lose his temper, his wife came over to break the dispute.

"Sandra is an adult. She has her opinions, and she needs space, okay?" Then she waved her hand to let Sandra leave the room first.

After Sandra went out, she called Yvonne.

"Check everything about Levi's background and put it on my office desk." Sandra closed her eyes in exasperation, processing in her mind why she skipped closing the curtain at that time. What a huge mistake!

Chapter 3 The Forced Marriage Plot

Yvonne did her job efficiently. As what she had gathered relating to Levi's background, he was a real rich playboy from every aspect. Sandra just needed a marriage partner, after all. And a good-looking playboy was better than an ugly one.

She tapped the phone screen with her slender fingers and dialed the number after hesitating for three minutes.

"Hello?" In Sandra's viewpoint, wasting the morning was tantamount to wasting time being young.

"This is Sandra."

"Yes. What's up?"

"Meet me at the Phoenix Deer Club in half an hour."

Sandra hung up and went out of her room, wearing a casual dress.

When she arrived at the Phoenix Deer Club, Levi was already there waiting for her, standing next to his car. When he saw Sandra, he waved at her. Levi wore a tailored, light blue suit that fit perfectly as if he'd been born in it.

Sandra thought, 'Do all playboys look that clean?'

"What's up?" Levi looked like he just woke up.

Sandra glanced at him and walked into his car saying nothing, and hinted him to hop in. Levi had no clue why, but he just opened the door and entered.

Sandra threw him a sheet of paper, and he read it several times. After confirming the contents written on the note, he waved the marriage agreement bearing Sandra's signature.

"You didn't put in a high bet that day at the casino. There's no need to marry me to pay off your debt, okay?"

Sandra made no answer but threw the phone at him. Levi saw the blurred photos of two naked bodies on the screen, and then he acted like he needed to keep his cool.

"Sign it."

Levi doubted if he was still dreaming. "Do you know me well?"

"Yes, I did my research. There is no problem."

His jaw dropped. How could she be so calm and casual about doing the investigation on him? "Then, I don't know you thoroughly. What if you are a killer?"

His remark surprised Sandra, so she threw Levi a file. He opened the document and then grew speechless. The report was comprehensive information on Sandra's background.

"Sign it first, and then you can take it back with for further study."

Levi looked at her with amusement. "Do you think I'm willing to agree to this?"

"You won't suffer any loss."

Levi considered what she said made sense, but he was still young to settle down.

"It's said that marriage is similar to a grave. I don't want to die extremely early."

Sandra studied him in silence. His words made her feel that they were going to die for love.

"You can say whatever you want as long as you sign it!"

Levi felt like crying without tears. Looking at the marriage contract in his hand, he frowned and said, "Will my apology be enough?"

When he raised his head, he met Sandra's piercing stare. There was no point in saying more. At this time, his only way out was to run away. Levi opened the car door and climbed out. With a smile tugged at the corners of Sandra's mouth, she said, "You must sign this, Levi!"

After their brief encounter, Sandra called Yvonne.

"Assign someone to follow Levi around and report his present activities to me in advance."

Later that night, the disco ball lights in the Muse Bar kept spinning, and streaks of multiple colors flickered across everyone's faces.

Levi took the wine glass from the bartender and stared blankly at the light red liquid. His face still appeared handsome, but his expression was deadpan. His heart was racing wildly.

Alcohol was no way to take over him. There must be something wrong about that day. If only the girl he met wasn't Sandra, he might have controlled his desire. But that woman had a feeling of familiarity when he first laid eyes on her.

"Damn it! Why didn't we close the curtains?" He was thinking about it, but he couldn't help blurting it out because he was too pissed off.

"I think so, too."

Hearing the voice, Levi lowered his head smoothly and was getting ready to run away, but Sandra grabbed his clothes' rough edges.

"What? Don't you want to drink anymore?"

Sandra motioned the bartender to make the drinks. "The same as his."

"Why do I keep bumping with you everywhere? I will sincerely offer my apologies to you, I swear!"

Sandra smiled, shaking her head, "I won't accept it!"

"What on earth do you want me to do?"

"I'm only asking for a simple favor." Sandra took out the marriage agreement with her signature from her bag and placed it in front of Levi.

"Why must it be me?"

Sandra showed Levi their photos one after another. He couldn't stand this woman's tenacity any more. If the feeling of familiarity was real, it must be a tragedy.

Levi inclined his body on the table as if he was about to die. Sandra was not in a hurry. Only marrying him was the way to work everything out.

While Sandra was downing her drink as if nothing had happened, an intoxicated man approached them, took out a few hundred dollars from his pocket, and slapped them on the table.

"Beauty, come with me. These notes are yours," said the drunk man as he pointed to the notes.

Sandra eyed him in disgust. "Fuck off!"

"You're a hot-tempered woman. And I'm up for the challenge." As he spoke, he reached out his arm to put on Sandra's shoulder. When she was about to pick up the glass and splash the wine on his face, the man saw through her plot and crushed it. He grabbed her shoulder and was about to hold her in his arms. Sandra struggled to break free from his sweaty grip.

Suddenly, the drunkard let out a scream. Feeling that her shoulder was loosened, Sandra turned around and saw Levi twisting the drunkard's hand.

"Damn you! Are you blind?"

When the drunkard saw the man's face, he screamed and begged, "Mr. Levi, I'm so sorry. I didn't know she is your woman."

"Apologize to her!"

"Beauty. Uh, no. I mean, Miss. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to offend you." The crippling pain on his twisted arm caused the drunkard to sober up.

Sandra looked at him in disgust. "Go away!"

Levi let the drunkard go, and made eye contact at the bar's staff. He then took off his clothes and wrapped it around Sandra.

Sandra let him hold her, and they left the bar together. She disliked being touched by others, but it seemed that she didn't refuse Levi. Perhaps it was because they had been so intimate on the bed before.

"I always come to rescue you. How are you going to pay me back?" Levi interrupted her trance-like state.

"I can pay you back by marrying you."

"I don't think it's a good plan."

"You have no choice. You have to take responsibility for the repercussions."

That day after he drove Sandra home, Levi promised to think it over, on the condition that she wouldn't show up in front of him whenever she felt like it.

Sandra accepted the terms. She was not afraid that he would run away because the paparazzi would keep an eye on him for her.

She was determined to get Levi, but it might be a little challenging to deal with his mother, Hertha.

The Legend Company and the Song Family had always been mortal enemies. If she wanted to marry Hertha's son, she had to get to know her first, especially since Sandra didn't know her attitude.

Sandra called Yvonne and asked her to take out the eighty-year-old wine she had kept in the manor's cellar. She was going to visit Hertha.

If her parents hadn't pressured her, she wouldn't have tried so desperately to get married. Just thinking of this made Sandra feel exhausted.

Sandra stood at the Song Family's massive door for a long time, but she didn't expect Hertha to open the door herself, which made Sandra feel a little surprised.

"Hello, Miss Hertha."

"Miss Sandra, I've seen your photos. What a great shot."

For a moment, Sandra didn't know what to say. Why did Hertha have to dive straight to the point, making her tongue-tied? Sandra could only say awkwardly, "Well... It's just okay."

Glancing at the wine in Sandra's hand, Hertha couldn't restrain herself from laughing.

"What are you laughing at?"

"You crack me up because you seemed reluctant to give me this bottle of wine. You held it tightly as if you didn't want to let it go."

Hearing this, Sandra handed her the wine right away, and Hertha received it with a smile.

"Oh, good wine. You are so generous. By the way, can I just call you Sandra?"

Sandra looked at her and nodded. 'What the hell is this woman going on here?' she mulled over herself.
