A girl could be seen seated by a stream as she ate peacefully while people walked past her, she looked very beautiful while doing so.

Like a damsel with no worries but only if they knew?

This is Aphrodite Gold, a girl of 24, her parents are late and she lives with her aunty whose children and her Aunt maltreated her.

She was innocent, had a calm voice, stayed away from trouble, and was a beauty to behold.

Aphrodite stood up and breathed softly, as the wind blew her black long hair over her face, she had black long hair that shone brightly under the sun, big hazel eyes, small red lips, chubby Rosy cheeks, and a thin but sexy figure.

She quickly checked the time before hurrying up packing her stuff into a sling bag and rushing out.

She got to her aunt's house and she met her Aunt seated there with a smirk as she saw Aphrodite enter the house, her aunt Maria had two children particularly boys Max and Zack who always molested her but she couldn't do anything.

On seeing her aunt Aphrodite blinked cutely fear written all over her face, she closed the door and stepped it fully.

"Good evening Aunt," Aphrodite said as she sulked in her lower lips.

"And what is good about this evening?" Her aunt asked.

"Um...I" Aphrodite was speechless as she just played with her fingers.

"Where have you been, it's past 7 pm and you are just coming back, huh?, Who do you expect to the the chores, cook dinner, and go to the market" Aunt Maria said as she stood up and walked to Aphrodite who cowered away in fear.

"Aunt I retired from work late, I... it wasn't my fault," Aphrodite said but regretted it immediately when her Aunt gave her a bone-crushing slap.

"I won't tell you again, your parents abandoned you and I took you in this is the best I can do and you don't appreciate it" Her aunt yelled picking up her whip which lay in a corner as she struck it on Aphrodite's body.

"Ahhhhh" Aphrodite screamed as her Aunt continuously flogged her with the whip not minding where she hit.

After a while, the screams died down, and Aphrodite's skin was filled with bruises and blood seeping out of the wounds.

"That's just a lesson, go clean up and go prepare dinner," her Aunt said.

"Y...yes Aunt". Aphrodite tucked a piece of her hair behind her hair as tears flowed down her eyes before walking upstairs as she sobbed quietly.

Aphrodite locked her door as she fell to the floor sobbing, she threw her bag on the bed tugging on her hair as she screamed.

'All her life she has been living a good life till that wretched accident, then her heart accident kicked in and to make it worse she moved in with her aunt, can there be anything more broken' she thought.

After a while of sobbing, she dragged her tired body to the bathroom, she washed herself clean before putting on a blue dress that stopped right above her ankle, which was one of the long dresses she owned.

Walking downstairs, she met her Aunt seated there as she talked with someone on the phone while laughing, Aphrodite just sighed heading to the kitchen.

"Shut the fuck up! You are fired"

"B...but sir I did nothing wrong," the lady said in fear.

"I didn't ask just get out" he yelled at her, she couldn't say anything but to walk out.

That was the fifth assistant this week, the man sighed running his hand through his hair.

This is Atlas Roy, a billionaire CEO of Roy Corp, he's 26, has anger issues, and doesn't do relationships because of it, so he just remains single but he fucks around no doubt.

He's been looking for the perfect assistant one who can tolerate his anger issues and one who wouldn't fall in love with him.

He sighed as he picked up his phone dialing the HR manager.

"Get me a new assistant ASAP," Atlas said before hanging up.

The next day, Aphrodite woke up early, had a quick shower did her chores, prepared breakfast, and left the house, she walked around the streets looking for a job when she saw one outside a large building complex and it read.

"Personal assistant needed should have anger tolerance and an efficient brain"

Shrugging she walked into the building, it was neat and everything was made of glass, walking to the receptionist.

"Hi, is the job still available" she asked and the receptionist was wowed by her beauty.

"Y...yes it is, you are really pretty" the receptionist commented and Aphrodite blushed.

"Thank you" Aphrodite answered.

"Right this way," the receptionist said as she walked into an elevator with Aphrodite following behind.

They got to an office, it was quite spacious, and had only black and white furniture in it, "the CEO will be here shortly," the receptionist said walking away while Aphrodite rubbed her sweaty palm on her dress, her heart was beating so fast indicating she was nervous.

Soon the sound of leather shoes could be heard, Aphrodite stood up and met a pair of dark black eyes.

The man in front of her looked like a Greek god, he had black hair that was slightly ruffled, a muscular body, a clean-shaven jaw, and a well-structured face.

He was dressed in a suit leaving the first two buttons open as he stared at her.

Atlas was surprised, he was hoping to find a rich and sassy girl here, only to see a poor and innocent girl here and she looked breathtaking.

"G...good day Sir" Aphrodite greeted as fumbled with her dress.

Atlas noticed she wasn't expecting an interview but normally you can't just be picked the same day you applied but he's desperate for one and this is the only way for that to happen.

"Good day, please take your seat," Atlas said sitting down same as Aphrodite as he faced her.

"Can I know your full name?" Atlas asked as he stared at her.

"Aphrodite Gold winter," she said straight forward he liked that Atlas thought.

"Have you ever worked as an assistant before?" Atlas asked.

"No, I haven't" Aphrodite answered.

"Can you tolerate any anger issues?" He asked.

"Yes, I have faced a lot of things in this life but anger is no longer a problem" she answered.

"Okay, please leave we'll contact you when we have decided," Atlas said and Aphrodite nodded before walking out.

Aphrodite boarded a cab to her best friend's house, which was located on the outskirts of the City, her Best friend was from a rich family, and she was quite a fun and amazing friend.

"Bestie" Bianca screamed as she saw Aphrodite walk in.

"Hey bestie," Aphrodite said slumping beside on the couch.

"Still searching for a job I believe?" Bianca said.

"Yes, I want to leave my Aunt's house as soon as possible," Aphrodite said.

"Why don't you come to leave with me, mom and Dad have agreed to send you an allowance every month," Bianca said.

"I don't want to leave off your parents, it's not fair," Aphrodite said.

The Maxwells (aka Bianca's family) were very good to her ever since she lost her parents, her family had been close to them and since they died, the Maxwells offered to take Aphrodite in but she refused.

"Just do it, I want to keep seeing you every day," Bianca said giving Aphrodite puppy eyes, which she couldn't resist and groaned.

"Arrgg...fine, I'll move in tomorrow," Aphrodite said.

"Okay, no need to go back just call your aunt and tell her not like you have anything to pick over there," Bianca said rolling her eyes.

"I need to pick something from my room but I'll be back today," Aphrodite said.

"Okay let me drive you," Bianca said.

"Okay" Aphrodite agreed and soon they left for Aphrodite's home.

"Good day Aunt" Bianca greeted while Aunt Maria smiled at her.

"Um Aunt, am moving to stay with Bianca till I can get my own house," Aphrodite said.

"And why would I allow you to do that your parents left you under me," Aunt Maria said.

" I am old enough to make my decision not to other way round," Aphrodite said.

"You are not leaving this house," Aunt Maria said.

"But Aunt, she has the...shut up, do not interfere in this" Aunt Maria rudely cut Bianca off as she grabbed Aphrodite's arm pulling her upstairs.

"Let go of me...let me go" Aphrodite screamed but her aunt pushed her into the room.

"You can never escape this bondage you witch," Aunt Maria said as she locked the door going downstairs.

"N...no let me out!!" Aphrodite screamed as she banged on the door.

"Bianca, Don't leave me... bestie!!" She yelled as she finally gave up falling on the cold floor as she cried.

Soon she heard the door unlock standing up she met Bianca there, and she rushed into her arms crying.

"There...there" Bianca patted Aphrodite's back as she sobbed.

"I...I thought you were going to leave me" Aphrodite said.

"I didn't, I...I actually" Bianca paused breaking the hug.

"You did what?" Aphrodite asked cleaning her tears.

"Never mind, let's leave while your aunt is being nice," Bianca said.

"Okay let me get something," Aphrodite said pulling a special carved wooden box from under her bed and putting it in her bag.

"Okay let's go" Grabbing Aphrodite's hand they walked out of the room, Bianca cast Maria a warning gaze before leaving the house.

"Out of the living hell" Aphrodite thought as she looked back at the house one last time.

Aphrodite was wowed with her bedroom, everything was Blue, and it was just to her liking.

"This is the room Mom designed for you till the day you agreed to stay with me," Bianca said.

"Wow, it's so lovely," Aphrodite said.

"Okay, so the dresser is inside there" Bianca pointed to a door.

"Okay thanks," Aphrodite said as her phone started to ring.

"Hello" she answered

"Good day am I into Ms gold?" The voice said.

"Yes you are," Aphrodite said.

"You have been officially employed by our company as the CEO's assistant, your task is simple, serve him coffee 30 minutes after his arrival, pass any important information to him, Schedule his meeting and attend any international meetings with him, your pay slip would be discussed by the CEO himself, is that understood?" The voice said.

"Yes very clear," Aphrodite said excitedly.

"You'll resume tomorrow morning by 9 am sharp, goodbye for now" the person hung up as Aphrodite squealed.

"I got the job...I got the freaking job" she said.

"Am happy for you bestie" Bianca said hugging Aphrodite.

"Thanks, am starting tomorrow, can I get a makeover?" Aphrodite said holding Bianca's hand.

"I got you on that," Bianca said.

"Thanks," Aphrodite said.

For the rest of the day, they just enjoyed each other's company and watched Netflix.

By the next day, Aphrodite was all ready, her long black hair was now trimmed to medium length, light makeup on, her hair in a ponytail, she wore a black pencil skirt that stopped midthigh, a black button up shirt and black heels, she had breakfast as Bianca drove her to Roy Corp.

"Hi Aphrodite," the receptionist said.

"Hi...um" Aphrodite didn't know her name.

"Margret, let me show you to your office" Margret offered as she led Aphrodite to her office.

Aphrodite's office was in front of Atlas's own but there was a door which led to his office, she opened her purse and saw a new iPhone with a note.

"Already helped you set it up and oh I threw away the old one" from Bianca.

Aphrodite chuckled putting it on as she explored her phone, Atlas just arrived in his office and met Aphrodite there playing with a phone.

"Ahem," he coughed lightly to get her attention.

"Oh, good morning sir" she stood up with a bright smile.

"Morning, I do not appreciate you playing with your phone during work hours get me my coffee," Atlas said walking into his office while Aphrodite dropped her phone and went to the pantry to get his coffee.

Atlas was on his laptop when Aphrodite walked in with his coffee.

"Sir your coffee," she said about to drop the coffee when Atlas's hand brushed the coffee allowing it to spill with most of the coffee pouring on Aphrodite's hand.

"Shit" Atlas cursed as he stared at his documents that had been ruined while Aphrodite stared at her burnt wrist.

"Can't you watch where you are putting it" he yelled angrily while Aphrodite just stared at him.

"Sir, you hit the cup, it wasn't my fault," Aphrodite said as picked a tissue paper wiping it off carefully.

"Will you just leave I'll call you if I need anything" Atlas said and Aphrodite nodded walking out.

Aphrodite scoffed as she sat down, he made the coffee spill so why was she to blame, she just focused on her work as she planned to only make money here.

Atlas sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, he didn't need this now, she was just too distracting for this job, her dress was provocating, exposing her lean and slender fair legs, her curves were just wow and she had this alluring smile that put him off track and he surprisingly strongly attracted to her, she was a nutcracker he expected her to cower in fear as he got angry at her but she stood up for herself, he liked that from her.

Back at Bianca's apartment, she was watching a movie and eating popcorn when two boys suddenly walked in, turning to look at them she squealed.

"Brax, Will" she screamed throwing herself around the two boys.

"Baby sis," Braxton said as he ruffled her hair.

"Big bro, you didn't tell me you were coming?" Bianca said.

"It's a surprise, the maids already took my our stuff up," Will said as he sat on the couch casually.

"So where is Aphrodite?" Braxton asked as they both sat on the couch.

"Work, she suffered a lot," Bianca said as she sighed, " but thankfully she agreed to live with me away from her ruthless aunt" Bianca continued.

"I hope she forgives me" Braxton sighed.

"I believe she will, just have hope in yourself," Will said as she patted his shoulder in comfort.

Aphrodite sighed as she stretched her body tiredly, she had been working and was hungry, at the same time, Atlas stepped out of the office.

"Let's go for lunch," Atlas said as he stared at her.

"Um I don't think it's appropriate to go out for lunch with my boss," Aphrodite said.

"Am not asking you, am ordering you, get your stuff let's go" Atlas said as Aphrodite reluctantly grabbed her handbag as they left Roy Corp.

They got to a world-class restaurant with private rooms, the room had two couches facing each other and a table in between, only a red bulb illuminated the room giving it a faint scent of hibiscus flowers.

"So what would you like to order" Atlas asked as he stared at the menu leisurely as he flipped through the pages.

"Um, anything would be fine," Aphrodite said, she didn't like the idea of being alone with a man but was just putting up with it for the sake of her job.

"Okay, waiter!" Atlas called the waiter who walked in almost immediately.

"What can I get you sir and ma'am" the waiter said politely.

"We'll have Steak Gorgonzola Flatbread, garlic soup, and some chocolate cheesecake," Atlas said, nodding as the waiter wrote everything down.

"Your food will be ready shortly," he said walking out.

Aphrodite took her phone since it was ringing as she answered.

"Hey bestie, what's up?" Bianca said.

"Am tired, how about you just laying around I suppose?" Aphrodite said as Atlas just stared at her lips as they moved seductively as she talked.

"Yeah, can you come home a bit early today?" Bianca asked.

"I'll try," Aphrodite said.

"Alright later then, "Bianca said as she hung up, putting her phone back in her bag, she looked up and didn't see Atlas around. We

Standing up she turned only to bump into a hard surface, looking up she met a pair of deep black eyes, stepping back a bit she blushed as she saw it was her boss.

"S...sir, I thought you left," Aphrodite said as she tried giving them a little distance.

"Well I didn't, you look really beautiful," Atlas said putting his hands on the table behind her as she leaned backward.

"Yh sir, this is inappropriate" She pushed against Atlas's chest trying to push him off instead he leaned closer till she was lying down on the table and placed a kiss on her succulent lips.

Aphrodite was shocked and a bit annoyed, she just gave in since she saw resisting wasn't an option and she thought his lips tasted like strawberry, his scent was just something else.

After a while, Atlas still didn't let go until the waiter walked in.

"Oh, am sorry for the disturbance," the waiter said dropping their food on the table as Atlas let Aphrodite go with her heart thumping loudly, she needed to use the bathroom, her sight was becoming blurry, grabbing onto Atlas's wrist she muttered.

"The bathroom?" Atlas turned to the waiter, "Where is the restroom room"The waiter pointed to a door and Aphrodite grabbed her bag and rushed into it.

Atlas found that oddly strange, but it wasn't his business, to pay for the food, the waiter left.

Aphrodite locked the bathroom door as tears blurred her vision as she rummaged through her things in search of her drugs, she found it, rushing to the tap she took some water and gulped down the pill almost immediately her racing heart calmed down as she slumped to the floor.

After a while she composed herself before walking out, Atlas had already started eating, he just glanced at her when she sat down.

"You spent an awful amount of time in there," Atlas said finally raising his gaze to meet hers.

"Yeah, had to take care of some stuff," Aphrodite said finally taking her seat.

"Okay eat quick I have things to do," Atlas said as he concluded with his eating.

"Yes sir" She quickly began eating as Atlas just stared at her, the way her plump red lips moved as she chewed made his blood boil.

Aphrodite quickly finished eating and sighed, she never had this type of tasty food before, as she was about to reach for a napkin to wipe her lips, Atlas beat her to it as he ever so slowly wiped her lips, after he was done he grazed her lips with his finger and couldn't believe he kissed these succulent lips a while back, as his eyes held eyes contact with hers, Aphrodite could feel her heart racing, she tried to calm herself down but it wasn't working, pulling her gaze from the magnificent and spellbinding black orbs she cleared her throat.

"Sir, I believe the lunch break is over," she said finally breaking out of his spell.

"Yes, I believe so, shall we" Atlas said as he strode out of the room with Aphrodite following closely behind.

The following day went easygoing and smoothly, Aphrodite focused on her work to make sure she did everything accurately and quickly. By 7:30, Atlas stepped out of his office with his briefcase as he looked in her direction before walking out.

Aphrodite shut down her laptop as she stretched lazily, she stood up and grabbed her bag, noticing Atlas had already left she quickly went home.

Atlas got to his Mansion, the place smelled of elegance and wealth, mostly built with gold and the gate had a carving with diamonds that said 'Diamond Villa', parking his car in the garage his butler immediately rushed forward taking his briefcase and coat.

"Welcome back master" the butler greeted as Atlas nodded walking into the main house, laughter and chatter echoed through the house and he knew just who it was.

"Look who is back," A girl said as she immediately hugged Atlas who patted her hair fondly.

"Who asked you guys to come in?" He asked as he broke the hug.

"Do we need permission for that?" A blonde-haired guy said.

"Where is Braxton and William" Atlas said as he sat down losing his tie a bit.

"They went home once we landed," The girl who hugged Atlas earlier said.

"Why did you change your cologne?" A dark-haired guy asked.

"I didn't" Atlas shrugged not understanding what he meant.

"You smell like strawberry and only ladies smell like that...gasp...do you have a girlfriend" A dark-haired girl squealed as she said.

"Nope," Atlas Bluntly replied.

These are his closest friends since college, the haired guy was a popular Korean architect named Hyungin Han, who owned several companies responsible for building and worked under Atlas's company, the dark-haired or rather brown-haired was a half-cast, part Brazilian and part American her name was Milan Kai, she owned a shipping company that partnered with both Atlas and hyungin's company, the blonde haired is Stella Sing, she's a full born Asia girl, but has good shape that any guy could kill for, but she's cunning and a fox and the blonde haired guy was Sylvester Mike, a full born American, he owned a popular and well known hospital that only rich elites could go to, he's friendly and calm.

Aphrodite stepped out of the cab and walked into the house she perceived the aroma of food, so she quickly changed her shoes and walked into the house.

"Bestie, bestie are you home" Aphrodite yelled as she walked into the sitting room only to see Bianca and William seated.

"Welcome back bestie" Bianca hugged her while Aphrodite blinked breaking the hug.

"William, if you are here that means... Welcome back Aphrodite" Braxton interrupted and almost immediately, Aphrodite moved away from Bianca.

"Bestie, are you okay?" Bianca asked trying to touch Aphrodite.

"Don't touch me" Aphrodite yelled running to her room in tears.

"Brax I thought you said it wasn't that serious," William said.

"I..." Braxton was speechless as he bowed his head in sorrow before leaving.

Aphrodite got to her room and locked the door flinging her bag on the floor, she screamed as tears poured out of her eyes, she fell to the floor crying as her heart thumped loudly against her chest, and everything started becoming blurry, she struggled to grab her bag as she rummaged through it, finding her pills she couldn't find water so she threw some directly in her mouth chewing on it, after awhile she slowly calmed down but continued crying, she was hurting and trying to stay strong but why was everything against her, I there really a God as people say or was she just alone she wondered, she didn't know what happened but fainted in a spot.
