But Emily wouldn't give up, she loved him and was determined to flirt with him until she won him over. Then one day, on a full moon... she saw him transform into a... werewolf! Her destined love, Wolfgang, was a werewolf! What was Emily to do?

Chapter 1 Dating Objects Beyond Imagination!

The bustling city is lively all night long. Emily lazily walks from her house to the narrow street ahead, finally stopping at the entrance of a supermarket. The supermarket is located very close to her home, and being a reserved and ordinary girl, Emily always buys food here and is very fond of this place. But now, as she looks at the large signboard of the supermarket, she can't help but sigh.

She takes out her mobile phone, searches through her contacts for "Man who viewed profile 42" and sends him a message: "Hello! I'm Emily. We contacted each other before, and I'm sorry to bother you, but you made an appointment with me today at the live meat section of supermarket XX?"

One minute later, she receives a short reply from 'Man who viewed profile 42': "Okay, I'll be there in ten minutes. Wait for me."

"Okay..." Emily sighs and adds an 'x' behind "Man who viewed profile 42" indicating that he has been eliminated.

It's not Emily's fault! Ever since her mother forced her to go on a blind date six months ago, she has encountered many surprises. Emily's standards are not that high. She is 25 years old this year and works as a secretary in a large company in this bustling city. Recently, with the support of her parents, she bought herself a spacious room. Regarding her looks, she doesn't think she's too bad. But for some reason, every time someone introduces a potential partner to her, it's always tricky.

There have been times when she went out to eat, and the person faked their death to avoid paying and left Emily to foot the bill. There was someone who, upon meeting her for the first time, immediately asked about her salary, and when he found out it wasn't high, he looked contemptuous on her. Someone had only met her a few times and already started lecturing her about household chores, saying that, as a man, he would never help with such things...

At first, Emily was new to dating and was about to be pressured by those men with bad intentions, but luckily she had a good friend named Dani. When Dani heard about Emily's situation, she teased her and first taught her a lesson, then immediately took her mobile phone and wrote some 'x' marks after the names of the men who were dating.

Since then, Emily felt more experienced, and whenever she went on dates, she would take notes and mark their phone numbers with 'x' However, despite her advanced dating skills, she still couldn't meet the right person!

Two months ago, Emily struggled to find a suitable man and finally found someone who was not only good-looking but also had a stable job and a good personality. Although not a handsome actor level, he was considered attractive. However, their hobbies were not similar, as Emily was a woman who enjoyed staying at home watching movies and eating snacks, while the man liked to socialize and go out. They didn't fit well together, so Emily had to let him go.

After that, Emily realized that being single was quite fulfilling. If she couldn't find true love, being single was also good. From then on, Emily entered a state of not caring, and when her mother introduced her to a date, she would just meet them casually.

Now, how does she have to date this man today?

The first time her mother talked to her about a blind date, Emily didn't take it seriously. When the man called to arrange a meeting, she was surprised by his pleasant voice. If her mother hadn't called to urge her today, Emily would have forgotten about her blind date.

In the afternoon, she was snacking and watching a movie on her computer when her mother called: "My daughter, aren't you supposed to go on a blind date tonight? Let me tell you, you must seize this opportunity, you know? This time, the matchmaker is my friend, very trustworthy! She said the person is also successful, doing business overseas! I'm not after money, but with our economic conditions, you can only live well if you get married!"

Emily's head spun: "Mom, I haven't even met him yet. How can you imagine marrying me off to him!"

"I'm just saying a few words. Is it that bad? Alright, hurry up, make yourself beautiful, and show well tonight! I'm waiting for good news from you!"

Emily gave a long "yes" and continued watching the movie until 20 minutes before the appointment time, when she finally washed her face, tied her hair in a ponytail, and left with her tired eyes from staying up because late watching the movie.

So now, Emily was standing in the raw meat section of the supermarket, bored and taking out her phone to play games.

After a while, feeling even more bored, she sent a teasing message to Dani: "The blind date tonight is 'x' for sure! He even wants to meet me in the raw meat section of the supermarket! I don't understand why he wants to meet here!"

Dani quickly replied: "Maybe he doesn't want to go out to eat and spend money?"

Emily's fingers quickly moved on the screen: "Then I'm leaving. I don't want to waste my time with 'x'!"

Dani: "You can do that, but will your mom beat you up?"

Emily: "...... Hmm... you're so mean!"

Her face looked like she was attending a funeral. She put her phone down, feeling sad about her mother's pressure on her marriage, and could only continue waiting.

Having stood in one place for a long time, a middle-aged woman looking at the meat in the refrigerator looked up and said to her: "Hey, little girl, could you please cut me a pound of pork belly?"

Emily quickly shook her head: "I'm sorry, I don't work here."

The woman apologized and left, leaving Emily crying silently. Finally, Wolfgang, her match, when arrived? She didn't want to stand in front of a pile of meat anymore... she was famished and hadn't eaten dinner yet!

Emily bowed her head and continued playing the game. After a while, someone lightly patted her shoulder. Emily was in the middle of an important moment in the game and didn't look up: "I'm not an employee here, and I'm waiting for someone."

There was a moment of silence, and then a deep, soothing male voice said: "I know. I'm also here to find someone."

Emily stopped her hand, looked up, and looked into a pair of black eyes.

The man in front of her was at least 1.9 meters tall, wearing a black shirt and black pants, with long, perfectly straight legs that were even more perfect than the best models. But the most astonishing thing was his face - short, neat hair, bright eyes under thick eyebrows, a high nose and pale lips... really... he was more handsome than a movie star!

Emily couldn't stop swallowing saliva: "You... you are Wolfgang?"

The handsome man smiled slightly and nodded: "Yes, I am. You must be Emily. It's nice to meet you."

Wolfgang extended his hand to her.

Emily was stunned for a moment, then immediately put away her mobile phone and shook his hand with all her strength: "I... I... I... I'm very pleased to meet you! Extremely happy! So happy that you can't imagine!"

Wow, after so many eye exams, fate finally brought her an outstanding man! Emily was so excited that she wanted to roll on the ground.

It seemed that Emily's enthusiastic reaction was unexpected. Wolfgang raised his eyebrows slightly and said: "I'm sorry to keep you waiting here. I just wanted to buy meat at the supermarket, so I stayed here. After I finish buying the meat, let's eat dinner, okay?"

"Okay, of course, no problem, no problem!" Emily's face was flushed with excitement, and she had forgotten entirely the sarcastic remarks she had made earlier.

"Okay." Wolfgang asked the salesperson that he wanted to buy meat, wanting to buy dozens of kg of it. Emily followed him straight to the cashier, still staring at him, not even blinking, until Wolfgang turned around and looked at her: "Miss Emily."

"Huh?" Emily blinked her eyes wide.

"I have to pay now."

"Huh? Don't you have money? Let me help you pay!" Emily immediately said, truthfully, she used to hate meeting men who didn't pay, but today, she could spend money to support him! Okay, this is indeed a new world!

But unfortunately, Wolfgang laughed and said: "No. I have money, but I have to pay. Can you let go of my hand?"

Chapter 2 Crazy Infatuation!

Emily blinked a few times and bowed her head to consider, surprised that she was still holding onto his left hand! What happened? Why didn't she feel it at all?

"Yes, yes, sorry!" Emily quickly let go, her face too hot, embarrassed! How could Emily be so shy?

It seems that Wolfgang didn't mind. After he paid, he took the meat from the supermarket and paid the delivery person to take it away.

Then he turned around and smiled at her, and Emily felt shocked electricity, hearing him say: "Let's go eat. What do you want to eat?"

"I'll eat anything!" Emily kept talking to herself, a little shy and nervous, but facing the ideal man in her heart, she really couldn't be shy!

"Okay... Can we eat hot pot? When I came here, I saw a hot pot restaurant."

Emily nodded: "Okay, okay!"

So Wolfgang led Emily, who was still lost in thought, forward. On this street, many people were walking, but relatively chaotic. When the two of them passed through an alley, a large white dog with shiny fur suddenly rushed out, its whole body white as snow and beautiful. Just by looking at it, could tell that it was meticulously raised. It looked at Emily's back for a moment, its eyes tense, and quickly ran towards her. Just as it approached her from behind, the dog suddenly stopped.

As the man beside Emily suddenly turned his head to look at it, he made a soft noise. In an instant, his eye color turned red like blood, making the dog stunned, obediently turning his head and leaving. Emily felt strange behind her and turned to take a peek, but she couldn't see anything. She scratched her head and asked Wolfgang: "Is it going to rain? Did you feel a gust of wind behind us just now?"

Wolfgang laughed at her, and by then, his eye color had returned to normal: "You're mistaken. Let's go, and the hot pot restaurant is up ahead."

"Okay!" Emily didn't doubt anything and immediately followed Wolfgang into the hot pot restaurant.

The two sat down by the low window in the restaurant. Wolfgang handed the menu to Emily: "Order whatever you want."

Emily was very hungry after waiting for him at the supermarket for so long. However, she remembered the elegant action of the lady, so she only glanced at a few things and then handed the menu back to Wolfgang: "Anything is fine for me. You choose."

"Okay." Wolfgang nodded, then said: "By the way, Miss Emily, I have something important to tell you before we eat."

Emily recalled the terrible experiences of her previous matchmaking, and her heart became anxious. What does he want to say? Does he want to say: 'Actually, I don't have feelings for you, but it's polite to invite you to dinner.' or 'I don't have feelings for you, so let's split the bill'?

She didn't want either option!

Wolfgang seemed a little embarrassed, and after a moment of silence, he said: "I eat a lot of meat, so I hope I won't intimidate you later."

Emily breathed a sigh of relief: "No... no problem at all. Eating a lot is good. I won't be scared. I also eat a lot! I can finish several packs of snacks every day!"

Wolfgang laughed, and warmth spread from his eyes, eyebrows, and eye tail. He nodded: "That's good. I'll start ordering food."

This smile quickly made Emily's heart flutter, and she nodded absent-mindedly: "Okay, you can order whatever you want."

So she watched Wolfgang alone eat 20 servings of beef, ten servings of smoked ham hock, and ten servings of fish balls.

After handing the menu to the waiter, Wolfgang turned around and saw Emily's shocked expression, causing him to grin: "See, I told you I would scare you."

. . . Not only was she startled, but the other servers were also incredibly frightened! He didn't see when one of the staff almost tripped and fell as they walked away!

Inside, Emily was screaming, but she tried to maintain a calm demeanor on her face: "No... No, I'm just a little worried. With so many dishes, can you finish them all?"

"I can, trust me." Wolfgang replied reassuringly.

Finally, those words seemed to become a kind of spell, calming Emily's shock and worry. At this moment, many images flashed before her eyes: she and Wolfgang together, her worrying that someone else might steal him away. Or him gently rubbing her head and saying 'Trust me'; or them getting married, her being scared of marriage, him putting a ring on her finger and saying 'Trust me'; or them having a child--

She snapped out of it! How did she even think of having a child? Emily immediately returned to reality and stopped her daydreaming.

Emily's face turned red with embarrassment, and she quickly used her glass of water to cover her face.

"What's wrong?" Wolfgang asked, concerned but polite.

"Nothing... Nothing at all." Emily cooled her face with the glass, then sat up straight again. She bit her lip and carefully asked: "Oh... First of all... The first question is, when did you start dating?"

"Tonight." Wolfgang replied.

In other words, she was his first date...! Emily's heart was pounding, so she asked again: "Then... Why did you want to come here for our date?"

"My family forced me to."

Emily felt like she was falling into a bottomless pit. Why would he answer so bluntly like that? A little tactfulness wouldn't hurt! By saying that, wasn't he proving that she didn't have any attraction to him? He was only here to deal with the situation today, right?

If she had changed earlier, Emily would have been afraid to speak out the words that this man in front of her was a complete jerk, but... But when she looked at his face, Emily couldn't muster the determination!

Wolfgang silently observed the girl's attitude in front of him. Although she tried to suppress her feelings, his extraordinary perception allowed him to keep every subtle change in her expression. When his vision surpassed that of an ordinary person, in Emily's eyes, he looked like an adorable little squirrel bouncing back and forth.

He couldn't help but smirk and add: "But I also want to find someone to marry. Someone who has wasted decades always feels a bit lonely."

Indeed, Emily's spirits were lifted once again, and she widened her eyes: "So... You didn't love anyone before? You're so handsome. Didn't any girls pursue you?"

"There were a few. But, as far as I was concerned, I wasn't suitable, so I still haven't found anyone."

Emily felt these words were a bit strange, but before she could think deeply, she heard Wolfgang continue: "Thank you for calling me handsome."

Emily's small face blushed brighter than a pot of chili: "You... You are very handsome, and I'm just stating the truth."

Wolfgang smirked, his handsome face blurred with a hint of peculiarity: "You are also lovely."

Emily covered her face: "No, don't say that. I'll be embarrassed."

She looked down at her glass and saw her shadow, suddenly realizing she had dark circles under her eyes. She wanted to scream. Why didn't she listen to her mother and put on makeup before leaving the house today?

Emily wanted to hide her face behind the glass again.

"Don't hide." Seeing through Emily's embarrassment, Wolfgang said in a low voice: "In my eyes, you're magnificent. You don't have to feel embarrassed or afraid to admit it."

Emily felt warm inside and nodded: "Yeah... Thank you."

"The food is here." Wolfgang laughed: "Let's eat."

According to him, two waiters lifted the tray and placed the food they called on the table. Still, because Wolfgang called too much, the tray couldn't fit everything, so finally, the exceptional waiter came with a small cart and left the remaining meat there for them to take after eating.

"Alright, it's fine." After Wolfgang politely spoke to the waiter, he turned to Emily and said: "It's boiling. Let's eat."

Chapter 3 Regret Not Wanting To Leave…

Emily raised her chopsticks, put her favorite vegetables into the hotpot, and saw Wolfgang put all the beef into the pot directly. She was about to remind him that the meat would easily overcook, but then she noticed him quickly scoop the cooked flesh into his bowl with a spoon.

"Would you like to have some?" He scooped the spoon in front of her.

"Thank you." Emily took a bite and quietly observed his eating posture. Even though men ate more, she didn't think Wolfgang will eat so much meat.

But then she saw a miracle.

She only saw Wolfgang sitting up straight, with beautiful movements, and putting each piece of meat into his mouth. The activities were swift and neat, and after his thin lips opened and closed a few times, all the beef quickly went into his stomach.

The broccoli in Emily's hand fell back into the bowl, and she was dazzled by his eating movements! She was sure that he had added a special effect! Why did she feel like she was watching a sci-fi movie?

Wolfgang put down his chopsticks and looked calmly at her: "Scared you, didn't I? Sorry, I always eat like this."

"No, no, no, I'm not being threatened!" Emily immediately spoke, her eyes shining like stars outside the window: "You... You're amazing! How can you eat so quickly, and your movements are still so elegant? I admire you! I also like to eat like this, but until now, I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as this!"

Wolfgang was slightly stunned, then smiled again: "Thank you for saying that."

"Ha ha." Emily chuckled and pushed a plate of green vegetables before him: "Try some of this. Eating so much meat at once will make you feel a bit queasy."

To Emily's surprise, Wolfgang shook his head and said: "Sorry, I don't eat vegetables."

"Oh? You don't like green vegetables?" Emily asked.

"No, I don't like vegetables." Wolfgang replied coldly: "Although I can eat them, personally, I prefer meat."

"Ah, I see." Emily hurriedly returned the food: "Then eat meat. We are quite similar. I also like to eat meat. When I was a child, my mother used to chase me to force eating rice, and I always ran away, ha ha ha."

In Wolfgang's eyes, a glimmer of light flashed, and he suddenly said: "Can you tell me a little about your life? What kind of person are you? How is your life going now? I am very interested in your life."

Emily was momentarily stunned, but then she recounted her exciting stories from childhood to adulthood, talked about her colleagues at the company, her love of snacks and watching TV dramas, even mentioning the 'x' that she got rid of, and she couldn't stop talking. When she finally paused, Wolfgang had already finished off a table of meat.

Emily was embarrassed and said: "Did I talk too much? I'm sorry. I don't usually talk this much... but since I just met you..."

"It's okay, I like to listen." Wolfgang smiled and said: "If possible, next time we meet, please tell me more."

Emily's eyes lit up momentarily, and he said, 'next time'. In other words, they still had a chance to develop further! She nodded eagerly: "Okay! No problem!"

"After talking so much, are you full yet?" Wolfgang asked.

Emily nodded: "Yes, I'm full. You're amazing. You ate all the meat. Are you full yet? Do you want to order more?"

"No, it's okay." Wolfgang said.

Emily took a sip of water and felt a bit regretful. She felt like she had talked too much today, while Wolfgang had hardly said anything. She wondered if he was interested in her or not. But it was so difficult to meet someone she liked. Emily didn't want to give up, so she gathered her courage and asked: "Can I ask you one more question? How do you like girls?"

Wolfgang tapped his fingers on the cup's rim, lost in thought. After a moment, he looked up at her and calmly said: "You're not so bad yourself."

Emily wished she could transform into a butterfly and soar into the sky! She was so happy, and was deeply moved by the vague compliment of Wolfgang.

After finishing their meal at the hot pot restaurant, they stepped outside and were greeted by a cool breeze on this summer day. Emily suddenly felt utterly relaxed and took a deep breath.

She turned to look at Wolfgang, her eyes filled with anxiety. What would he do next? She wanted to be with him a little longer, but if he wanted to part ways after eating, she wouldn't have a choice.

Luckily, Wolfgang said: "I just finished eating. Let's take a walk."

"Okay!" Emily immediately agreed, and with her lively energy, she led the way. She remembered her mother telling her that Wolfgang had just returned from studying abroad, and she said: "My house is near here, and I'm very familiar with this street! There are also many interesting places that I can introduce you to!"

"Sure." Wolfgang walked beside her steadily, listening to Emily's chirping voice that was sweet and refreshing in his ear. But he didn't feel annoyed. On the contrary, he felt warm and fulfilled. He hadn't felt this way in years.

So he slowed down his pace, hoping that her voice would keep him a little longer.

But every road has an end. Emily stood at the intersection, feeling a little reluctant, and scratched her head: "There's nothing fun to do if we keep going..."

Wolfgang pointed across the street to a row of high-rise buildings: "What's over there? It looks lively."

"Oh? That's the newly opened Cen-T shopping district. My friend Dani and I often go there to watch movies." Emily explained.

"Oh, movies. . . . ." Wolfgang muttered to himself: "I haven't been to one in a while. Let's go. Can I treat you to a movie?"

If it were any other time, Emily would agree. But two days ago, she and Dani had made plans to watch a horror movie tonight, and the time was approaching. If she had gone with Wolfgang, she wouldn't have had time to go with Dani.

So she could only say: "I'm so sorry. Tonight I already have plans to watch a movie with Dani, how about we... go another day?"

"Of course." Wolfgang nodded: "I'll just take you to Cen-T then."

Emily couldn't help but exclaim to herself: 'He is smooth-talking!'

As they stood on the roadside waiting for the traffic light to turn green, a large dog suddenly appeared from nowhere, its leash slipping out of its owner's hand and racing out onto the road like a gust of wind. The cars were still moving as if nothing had happened, but just as it was about to be hit, Wolfgang suddenly narrowed his eyes and called out: "Hey!"

As if the big dog understood him, it stopped and looked at him momentarily before quickly running back to safety. It then circled Wolfgang a few times, whimpering in its mouth.

At that moment, the dog's owner also caught up, panting heavily and looking at Wolfgang, as he wiped his sweat, saying thank you: "Did you stop my dog just now? Thank you so much! It likes to run wild like that, and if it weren't for you, it might have died just now."

"It's nothing, no need to be polite." Wolfgang said calmly: "Just keep an eye on it from now on."

After thanking him repeatedly, the owner finally managed to pull the dog away, but to everyone's surprise, the dog refused to leave and stayed at Wolfgang's feet, looking up at him with pleading eyes as if it couldn't bear to leave him.

Wolfgang furrowed his brows and said gently: "Go back to your owner."

The big dog obediently let out a "Woof... wooo" sound but hesitated before finally walking to its owner's side.

The dog's owner was amazed and gave Wolfgang a thumbs up: "You're excellent, and you can train dogs! I've had him for two years, and he never listens to me!"

Wolfgang's eyes glinted with a faint, unseen light as he spoke seriously: "Just wait with sincerity. Things will get better eventually. Even though you, and it wasn't the same species, sometimes it might feel lonely."

"Got it. I understand now. Thank you for today!"

Waiting for their dog and its owner to leave, Wolfgang turned his eyes back to Emily and saw the light in her eyes, mesmerized by him, which left him stunned: "You're amazing!" Emily exclaimed, grabbing his arm: "Truly amazing! You just saved a life! I'm so impressed with you, and the dog is so obedient to you! You're a hero for sure!"

Wolfgang felt a kind of indescribable feeling in response to Emily's words, like the warmth of the sun. For years, he had been called a "freak" "alien" or "incompatible" by many people overseas. Except for his parents, no one had ever spoken to him with such gentle words, let alone called him a hero. He raised his hand to his forehead, and Emily was the first to treat him so kindly and the only one to smile genuinely at him in recent years.

"Thank you for saying that." Wolfgang replied.
