Flash Marriage With the Hot CEO

Author: : PR
Genre: Billionaires
Rumors had it that Dennis didn't do relationships because of a woman. Rumors also had it that Dennis was a merciless and indifferent man. Not knowing what kind of person Dennis is, Emmie signed her name beside his and received a marriage certificate with both their names on it. It was not until Emmie flash-married Dennis that she knew rumors cannot always be trusted. The man who clutched her in his arms was nothing like a ruthless CEO. On the first day of their marriage, Dennis warned Emmie, "I will provide you with anything but love." Three years later, when Emmie wants a divorce, the man tears the divorce agreement into pieces and begs, "Don't go. I can't live without you."

Chapter 1 Chapter 1

The Scott House.

Thud! Master Scott hit the wooden floor heavily with his cane which was made of rosewood. His hair was winter-white.

He fought the chaos of his rage, his glasses quivering.

He pointed at Dennis Scott with his index finger, shivering. "You brat, it's your wish to see me pass away in anger, no?"

Dennis glanced at Master Scott indifferently. "Grandpa, don't accuse me. Aren't you the one who brings this upon yourself?"

"That girl from the Bailey family, you have to marry her, even if you don't want to!" barked Master Scott.

"Give me a reason."

"If it weren't for Master Bailey, I would have already died! Besides, this is an agreement made between your father and the Bailey family!" Master Scott was breathless with anger.

"That's the business of your generation. Do whatever you want, be it to repay their kindness or even to take revenge. Don't drag me in."

Master Scott was almost choking on his rage. He glared at Dennis and exploded, "You're my grandson!"

"There are many ways to repay someone's kindness. But, I will never agree to have this done through marriage. Besides, I'm not the only son of the Scott family." Dennis rose to his feet. "I still have work to attend to in the company. I'm afraid that I can't help you with this."

"Two conditions! As long as you marry that girl, I will give you whatever you want."

Dennis sneered, "Save it. Threat or lure, it's not going to work on me."

As Dennis walked to the door, Master Scott finally decided to reveal his trump card. "The Scott Group and that woman!"

Dennis halted in his tracks. An old man was indeed a wise man. He turned on his heel as a gleam flashed across his eyes. "I'm all ears."

A smug smile spread across Master Scott's face. "You brat, listen up carefully."

He continued, "As long as you marry that girl, the Scott Group will be all yours. You're right that I have more than one grandson in the Scott family. If the one who marries the girl is your elder brother, then he naturally has the right to own the Scott Group."

"For the sake of that girl, you've actually bet the company on it? Isn't the Scott Group your hard work for decades?"

"Exactly, and hence I'll get to make this call!" replied Master Scott.

"Aren't you afraid that I'll divorce her right after I get my hands on the company?" asked Dennis.

"We'll sign an agreement. If you divorce her within three years, you can dream about having the Scott Group for your entire life."

"Old man, you're so cruel!" hissed Dennis.

He must have forgotten that although his grandfather looked merely like a stubborn, old man now, he was a businessman for most of the time in his life. It was only expected for him to strike such a deal, even with his grandson.

Master Scott said, "You can bring that woman back, too. I don't mind even if you are going to keep her as your mistress. But, she can never give birth to your child! This is my bottom line."

Dennis' playful smile was gone. He answered solemnly, "What if that Bailey girl asks for a divorce in these three years?"

"If she is the one who brings it up first, then the two conditions I promised you will still be on the table."

"Deal."

Dennis turned on his heel and adjusted his tie gracefully. "In less than three years, she will certainly ask for a divorce."

Master Scott said firmly, "No, she won't."

Emmie Bailey raised her head and looked at the huge signboard above her. The words 'Scott House' were engraved on it. She could not help letting out a sigh at her fate. Some people were born with a silver lining, while some were destined to work their fingers to the bone throughout their lives.

The secretary who brought her here looked at her and said, "Miss Bailey, let's go in. Both Master and Mr. Scott are already waiting for us."

Emmie frowned, "Do I have to see him today?"

"Master Scott wishes you two to get married as soon as possible. After you two meet each other today, the Scott and Bailey families will start working on the wedding."

Although Emmie was already mentally prepared, it was still beyond her expectation that she would be married off the next day.

The heavy door was pushed open, and Dennis was seen striding out of the house.

Emmie raised her eyes and saw a man in his late twenties. Tall and confident, he exuded a powerful aura. His tailored suit fit his body just right. His chiseled jawline and his midnight-black eyes made him look aloofly arrogant.

Chapter 2 Chapter 2

Emmie came to a conclusion that this man was indeed good-looking.

The secretary introduced, "Sir, this is Miss Bailey. Miss Bailey, this is Mr. Scott, your–"

Under Dennis' scorching gaze, the secretary immediately zipped his mouth. He meant to say that Dennis was Emmie's husband-to-be.

Dennis was much taller than her. Standing on the stairs, he towered over her from above.

His first impression of her was about black, for she wore a black coat, a pair of black shoes, black pants, and a black backpack.

Her skin was fair, striking in contrast with her black outfit. Yet, her fair complexion didn't seem quite natural. Her ashen skin appeared as if it was void of blood vessels. Even her lips were slightly pale.

Her sparkling anthracite eyes were the only color on her flawless face.

Yet, her face was rather small – so youthful and childlike. It seemed that...

Dennis asked, "Are you underage?"

Emmie was not surprised. Obviously, it was not the first time someone had asked her this question.

"I am 22 years old."

"Did you bring your ID card?" he asked.

"Huh?"

"You don't speak English or you didn't hear me?" retorted Dennis.

Emmie nodded. "Yes, I did."

She couldn't wonder if he had a trust issue. Taking out her ID card, she pointed at her birthdate. "As you see, I'm 22 years old."

"Follow me."

"Where are we going?"

Dennis walked past her and said to the secretary. "Tell my grandfather, I'll take her away."

"Sir, this..."

Emmie hesitated for a moment before following Dennis.

"Get in the car."

Holding the steering wheel, Dennis watched Emmie open the door and sit in the passenger seat behind him.

He frowned. "Do you think I'll sell you away?"

"I'm used to sitting in this seat."

"Hmph!" Dennis snorted.

The car sped on the road. Emmie had never asked about where they were going. She was going to go with the flow, and that was what she always did.

Dennis pulled over the car in front of the Marriage Register office. Emmie's heart missed a beat involuntarily.

"It's here..."

"Since my grandfather has brought you to our house, you should know what's going to happen next," said Dennis.

"I don't know we have to do it today."

"Does that even matter? Today or tomorrow?"

Emmie pondered for a while and found that Dennis had a point.

Half an hour later, with the registration certificate in her hand, she stood in front of the entrance of the Register Office again.

She was still in a trance. She was now a married woman.

"Hey? Isn't this Mr. Scott? You went back to the Scott House, didn't you? Why are you here?"

Harrison Wilkinson happened to pass by the area. He decided to stop his car when he found a familiar person on the street. Little did he expect to meet Dennis here.

"D*mn, who is this girl? Since when do you have a change in your taste?"

Dennis raised his cold eyes at Harrison and asked, "You must be quite free."

"I just broke up, so yeah. But I see that you're getting more perverted. This little girl must have just entered high school, no? How can you lay your finger on her? "

Harrison shivered with fear when he met the hint of danger in Dennis' eyes.

Emmie didn't like to be called an underaged girl. She corrected Harrison, "I'm over 18 years old."

"Holy sh*t, what's this?" Harrison snatched the paper away from her hand. "A marriage certificate?"

He was dumbfounded when he saw the names on it. "Y-y-you didn't tell me that you're going to get married?!"

Huh? That sounded rather awkward. Why would she tell him? She didn't even know him.

She replied, "Are you two..."

"What are you thinking about? I have nothing to do with this dumbas*. Your imagination is really impressive," answered Harrison instantly.

"Oh, give it back to me."

"Young lady, don't be afraid. I'm here to help you out. Just tell me what he did to you. Are you pregnant? Mind you that he's a wolf in sheep's clothing."

Chapter 3 Chapter 3

Harrison was Dennis' childhood friend. He was probably the only one in City A who dared to speak ill of Dennis so fearlessly.

What?! "I'm not pregnant," hissed Emmie.

Dennis gnashed his teeth. "You have two seconds. Return that to her, and get lost."

Harrison swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Under Dennis' threatening gaze, he handed over the paper to Emmie with both hands.

Yet, he still refused to give up. He asked, "Are you two really married? Or is it a cold day in hell today?"

"If this is leaked out, I will make sure Mr. Wilkinson finds you a wife in three days," warned Dennis.

"Y-y-you are so cruel!" What an as*hole Dennis was! Harrison would rather jump off a building than get married.

Harrison came to Emmie's side and whispered, "So you will be Mrs. Scott from now on. Hi, I am Harrison Wilkinson. What's your name?"

"Harrison? Harry Potter?" Emmie mused.

"Right on the spot. But, please call me Harrison. I don't really like being associated with some sort of wizard."

She was exactly the same as Dennis. Dennis had been calling him 'Harry Potter' for a good two years when the movie was released.

"What are you waiting for? Get in the car!" shouted Dennis.

"Oh, that's right."

When Emmie got in the car, he heard Harrison cursing from outside, "D*mn you, are you going to just leave me here? How could you forget your good friends now that you have found yourself a wife? You should at least give me a ride!"

When she got in the car, she saw Dennis throw the marriage certificate into the back of the car.

Suddenly, the paper in her hand felt extraordinarily heavy. She instantly pocketed it in her bag.

Soon, they reached a luxury villa area.

Emmie followed Dennis into one of the houses, and a woman dressed in an office suit was already waiting at the door.

"Mr. Scott, this is the agreement you have asked for."

After entering the house, Dennis put the agreement in front of her. "Sign it."

Emmie picked it up. It was a prenuptial agreement.

She browsed through it quickly. She had to say that she was much relieved when she found out the content of the agreement.

He signed his own name on the agreement without hesitation.

"Let's not take risks. I think I have the obligation to make it clear to you that our marriage will only last for three years. After that, we will have nothing to do with each other. But, in these three years, you must abide by the agreement."

"Sure," answered Emmie right away.

He was quite surprised at Emmie's reaction.

"This house is under my name. You can live here to make my grandfather feel less suspicious about us. But, you are not allowed to enter my study and bedroom."

Although they were now married, Emmie knew that she was at most a tenant here. His request was only reasonable. Moreover, she didn't have much spare time to explore his personal life, either.

"No problem."

"This bank card has enough money for you to live your life carefreely. Well, as long as you're not going to buy an aircraft or something like that, you can use it as you like." Dennis chucked her a golden bank card.

Emmie replied credulously, "Why would I want an aircraft? Besides, that's not even something money can buy."

Dennis squinted his eyes. Did she not understand his sarcasm? Or was she playing innocent in front of him?

"No one asks you to buy it!"

"Didn't you–"

"Enough," he interjected, realizing that Emmie was such a strange lady. "A family gathering will be held on the 28th of each month. You must show up even if I'm not present."

Emmie whispered, "This is ridiculous."

But for the sake of money, she had to accept it.

"What did you say?"

"No, please continue."

"Most importantly, we don't have to sleep together. Even though you're now my wife, don't you ever think that you can poke your nose into my private life."

Emmie was never a greedy person. She would never go after things that did not belong to her.

The marriage between her and Dennis was just a joke. She didn't know why he married her, but she knew well the reason she did so.

Three years... she only needed to use three years of her life to save the life of another person she cared about the most. It was a good deal.
