Chapter 1 Moving

I stood there in the middle of my room, they were doing it, a tear slid down my face as I looked at his room, it felt like yesterday when Griffin was still here, and he would throw her out whenever she ran into his room, but he never really did kick her out, I kept waiting and waiting for him to walk back in here but It never happened

"Astrid, come out darling we will be late." Her mother called from the car outside but I ignored it, I was not ready to face them yet.

My brother just died and yet they are acting like it was nothing, like he left home, like he didn't die a month ago.

Astrid felt transported back to that night, I felt a very sharp pain in my heart and I just couldn't hold back, I started to cry leaning against the wall.

"Astrid." Mom walked into the room, she was dressed in a black flowery gown and had her red hair up in a neat bun.

She walked up to me and dragged me into a hug but I pushed her away.

"No! This is all your fault! Griffin said it is your family!"I yelled at her hatefully Griffin was thinking of saying something to me before he died but I didn't hear I could not understand what he meant but I heard him say, Mom.

"Astrid darling, cancer is no one's fault," She said again trying to reach for me. I could her voice breaking, she was about to tear up but I didn't care, she killed him that's all that matters.

"Astrid." She said again but looked away wiping my tears.

"Go away, mom."

"Astrid." her voice was hoarse now but I didn't care, it was my brother that died. "He was my son, I would never mean to harm him." She said trying to convince me as tears fell from her eyes freely.

"Liar! You killed him your murdered griffin!"

~~~~~~
Riverdale town, house of the mayor.
Alpha Rivers stood before his sons they were on their knees before him and he looked extremely angry.
"Tell me when will the two of you learn and take your positions seriously!" He yelled at them, they both had their heads bowed and could not talk.
He was using his alpha tone which paralyzed the both of them.
He looked at his first son Ezra, he had red hair just like every other member of their pack, Ezra was as gentle as a dove but was always in rivalry with his young brother, Asher.
Asher had her black hair, and he was the family trouble maker, together the two of them achieve a lot but the chaos they wreck can also be destructive just like today, when they nearly revealed their wolves to the humans in Town
"The both of you! How can you be so reckless, if Nana Gina wasn't there in time to stop you? You risked revealing The Whole pack to an enemy race e knowing fully well how much they haunt us down!" He scolded them again.
Asher looked up at his father first, he wanted to say something but before the alpha, he knew better.
"Honey, they won't be able to explain themselves if you keep this up." Luna Claire walked up to them in all magnificence.
She was dressed in a white flowing gown and had red hair just like Asher, she held her husband's hands and his frightening aura disappeared instantly.
Her skin was white like milk and she was very beautiful.
"Let the boys explain themselves." She said and her voice was like a balm on all of them, it was like a gentle breeze that calmed the storm.
"Fine but... they will be punished first." He started but Asher and Ezra were already out the door.
"We are sorry Father." They yelled over their shoulders before he could say anything else.
"This is all your fault Claire you spoil them too much." Alpha Rivers said turning to face her.
"No Ethan, who said they were going scot-free, the council is coming Ethan, they said they are tired of their insolence and want to take matters into their hands, they can't have our children being this way all the time." She looked very worried as she looked up at him.
The last time the council came to take matters into their hands, she nearly lost a son and was not ready to do that again.
"Don't worry Claire, I will protect them I promise." He assured her holding her in his arms gently.
Outside the mansion.
Ezra and Asher glared at each other again.
"You know this was all your fault if you had agreed to do the contest at night like I said we wouldn't have gotten caught." Ezra glared at him.
He hated when his father caught him doing something had, especially when it came to Asher but being with Asher he was always doing something wrong.
"Why brother, because it will ruin your perfect image as the cute alpha of the pack." Asher teased him playing with a voice sure to annoy Ezra.
"Yea!"
"Well brother that's where you are wrong now, we are both future alphas, or have you forgotten brother, I am your biggest opponent." Asher declared further infuriate extra. Asher loved to do that but he meant it, there was no way he would step aside and let his brother win especially if he knew he had a chance to be my alpha too.
"What did you just say to me!" Ezra moved from the wall he was leaning on, Asher defiled him all the time, making him look weak before the entire pack, he was tired of his little brother thinking that way.
"What are you going to do weakling." He taunted him.
That was the last straw, baring his nails, he lunged at him but he never got to touch his brother as someone held him back.
"Really Ezra, you guys don't ever stop, you just got out of one and you are about to go to another, is that it?" A female voice said behind them.
Chapter 2 Errant Brothers
Oh I leave you to two for a week and you have been a recluse, fighting in broad daylight in your wolf forms, never have I been more embarrassed, now come wake both of you, I will make you spy for what you have done!" She said letting go of Ezra who glared at his younger brother.
Asher winked at his brother instead.
The woman was their instructor, she was charged with teaching them how to fight aswolves, trainer Jones was scary, but friendly and was very fond of them.
"Jane, I thought you'd never come back, that cadet you left in charge of training us was such amateur even Ezra was able to beat him." Asher ran up to walk beside her and tried to make her smile but a look from her silenced him, it was real this time around.
"It is Trainer Jones to you Asher and I hope there is still a lot of fight left in both of you because I won't go easy on you this time." Her voice was harsh and Asher's face ashened instantly making Ezra burst into laughter.
Trainer Jones stopped in her tracks and turned to face the two devilishly handsome young princes, she was tired of their rivalry, if one is not trying to get the other into trouble they revel in each other's weaknesses.
"What is funny to you Ezra?" She asked and Ezra stood up straight with his chest out.
He was already her height at sixteen, and the boy looked like a full-grown man perks of being a wolf, his chest was so broad and his muscles perked, making him look so attractive.
"Tell me!" She raised her voice at him and his face hardened. Ezra was no weakling but he was soft-hearted which made him easy prey to every other person, but whenever he set his mind to it, he was the Strongest in the team, which made when her thought he would make a good alpha one day, he had a good temperament compared to his brother:
She hated that the pack pitted them against each other making them fight for the post of the alphas all their lives.
"Cats got your tongue boy?" She raises one eyebrow daring him but he still doesn't say a word. "Maintain that position till sundown, Asher come with me now!" She said walking away from him.
Asher looked at his brother one last time before he followed her, he kind of wished he was the one that got punished like that.
Back inside the house,
The council was back and ready to take matters into their own hands.
Alpha Derek led them to the upper part of his mansion where he received them, he sat at the head of the table with Luna Claire standing behind him, she placed her hands gently on his shoulders.
"Alpha Ethan, on behalf of the council we apologize for meeting up with you on such short notice." Beta Blake started. "But we had received such disturbing news about the young prices that we just had to come here today."
"Is this about the little mishap they did today, I assure you beta Blake I have it under control and they won't repeat such a mistake." Alpha Ethan tried to get them to back off but he saw the looks Beta Blake exchanged with the other members of the council
"Mishap? What mishap alpha?" Beta Blake asked and alpha Ethan shared a look with his Luna.
"I see, why are you here today then?" He asked changing the subject.
"The seer had a very disturbing vision, the future Luna has been seen." He looked at Luna Claire a bit worried but looked away almost instantly.
"What do you mean by future Luna?" Luna Claire asked him while her husband squeezed her hand reassuringly.
She knew the pack hated her, ever since she married Ethan they had been out to get him to marry another from their pack, even her red hair was not enough to convince them.
"Well, the young princess, their mates, they seer saw something about them." He started and she relaxed a bit she didn't know she was holding.
"Well that is good Jess, so tell me, is she a member of our pack, or another pack who is she?" She asked eagerly, but they all exchanged worried looks with each other.
"Well out with it beta Blake, what's the matter!" Alpha Lucas urged them but they didn't say a word.
"Word is, she is human and..."
At the mention of the word human, Luna Claire froze, they won't accept it, and the pack will Kick against it.
"And to make sure they find their mates, the council has come to a unanimous decision to send the two princes out to the human world and let them go in search of her."
"Her? You mean them!" Luna Claire's raised her voice a bit and her husband stood up with his back to her.
"Leave us, Claire." He ordered in his alpha voice and she knew it was about to get serious so she walked out of the meeting room.
Alpha Ethan waited till she was gone before he faced them again.
"Beta Blake you and I have known each other since we were kids." We started walking around the meeting room slowly.
"Yes, alpha."
"And I trust you not to mislead me?"
"Yes, alpha." He rolled nervously.
"So." Alpha Ethan turned to face him looking him directly in the eye, his frightening aura was choking and Beta Blake looked away immediately out of fear.
"Look at me!" He ordered in a loud tone and everyone in that room jumped.
Shivering, beta Blake looked up at his alpha.
"Tell me, is this a ploy to get rid of my sons while you find a way to get rid of them permanently?" He asked in a very gentle voice scaring him more.
"No." His voice sounded strained as if he forced himself to look into the alpha's eyes.
"I see." Alpah Ethan moved away from them and went back to his seat. "Begin the transfer, my sons leave at Dawn!" He ordered.
Chapter 3 A New City
Astrid:
She woke up in the back of the car, she didn't know when she fell asleep or how she got into the car, and the last thing she remembered was her mom trying to convince her to go with them.
"Oh Astrid, you are up." Her mom said, looking at her from the front seat.
"Where are we going?" She rubbed her eyes groggily.
"Well dear, we are moving to your dad's old town, Greendale." She sounded so excited which annoyed Astrid.
"What do you mean moving I never agreed to move with you!" The drowsiness disappeared instantly, Astrid said angry with her, she looked out the window, they were on the highway and from the looks of it far from her home. "I want to go back! I am not leaving with you!"
"Come on Astrid, we have to be over this, this is what's best for you right now." Her father said, looking at her from the rearview mirror.
"You don't understand! I can't just go like that, griffin was buried there why are you doing this to me? Why are you trying to separate me from him." She had tears in her eyes as she looked at her parents.
"Astrid, no one is separating you from him, he will forever and ever be a part of our lives but you are grieving wrongly honey, you can't just give up your life and sit at his grave every day." Her father tried to reason with her
"Yeah, I can! I can!" She yelled at them both crying.
"Astrid." Her father parked the car on the side of the road turning to face her. "Losing Griffin has not been easy for any of us, your mom and I miss him terribly but still we have to live our lives that is the best thing we can do for your brother." He said in a very calm tone but instead of it making her feel better it only fueled the madness in her heart.
"No Dad! This is you and Mom moving on and trying to completely erase him from our lives!"
Her father reached for her hand from the front of the car, making him look a bit uncomfortable as he was quite a huge man. "Honey we can never erase your brother from our lives, that is impossible, but we need to move on, and Greendale is what's best for you, if your brother were alive he would.."
"Do not ever talk about my brother in that manner Father! He is alive!"
"You know what I have had it with your attitude young lady, and that's finally we are going to Riverdale and you can come along either awake or asleep your choice!" Her mom said glaring at her.
"You would not Mother!"
"Oh, young lady try me I will!"
Astrid glared at her not ready to back down, but what she saw in her mother's eyes made her rethink her decision.
"Fine, Greendale it is." She said glaring as her father started the ignition instantly. Sulking, she started to look out the window.
It couldn't get any worse anyway, it was probably a day's drive from their town there, and she'd just have to spend a day on the road.
~~~~~

That same night at Greendale,

Luna Claire was not having it, she and her husband were in a heated argument in the study, no one knew what they were arguing about but from the sounds coming from the study, it was serious.

Ezra and Asher looking all battered walked into the house,

"Oh my boys, what happened to you?" The butler asked them. Ezra looked at Asher first before he replied.

"Trainer Jones is in town, what of dad and mom?"

The butler looked away from their eyes suspiciously before he looked back at them.

"Better let's get you guys cleaned up first, you don't want the alpha and the Luna to see you this way, especially after what went down with you two today." He said, leading them to the other side of the house where their rooms were.

In the alpha study room.

"I will not let you ship off my boys to some human high school, they are just kids Ethan!" Ever since she found out the outcome of their meeting, she had been on Ethan's neck trying to get him to reverse the decisions.

"Claire you heard it, the seers saw it, the moon goddess decided it, there is nothing I can do it about, my hands are tired!" He tried to reason with her, half-heartedly, he wasn't against getting the boys out to the real world perhaps if they left their care they'd understand the duty they carry and stop mopping around the house the way they did.

"The moon goddess? And need I remind you how this same court of yours manipulated the story of the seer when we were to wed? If your mother had not insisted then, they wanted to sacrifice me to the moon goddess saying she demanded it, it was all a ruse! Then and now!"

Ethan ruffled his hair and got up from his chair walking around the table to stand right before her, he gently placed his hand on her shoulders, rubbing her arms up and down.

"Claire, maybe this is good for them. I mean the boys, they have never really had any good contact with the outside world, they are always here cooked up inside the house. Maybe this is good for them."

"So you are in support of this?" Her voice is low but threatening, he could feel it, and she won't budge. "You know what, I won't let you or your council take my boys away from me, tell them to bring their seer here and when she sees the vision herself, then I would agree with them."

She got out of his hold and walked out of his study room with her head high, Ethan rubbed his forehead, he could feel it, Claire would be trouble in this decision, but she had a point too.
