The princess' bed is so soft and big Naomi wondered, as she spread her arms wide on the bed, feeling its texture. She opened her eyes admiring the beautiful room she found herself in. The beauty of the room was beyond explanation to Naomi. She got up from the bed admiring herself in the clear mirror hung in the room.

"This is what I have always wanted, but wait..." she murmured to herself.

Then, she noticed the lingerie that she was wearing. It was so beautiful and it matched the color of the room. She opened the door of the room she found herself in and saw the beautiful paintings on the wall and the 3D tiles in the hallway.

"This house is just too beautiful, this must be a mansion," she thought to herself.

"But where am I? Am I dead? Is this heaven?" she asked herself with fear in her heart. She saw a woman emerging from the opposite end of the hallway. Naomi paused in fear praying silently till the woman reached where she stood and stopped right in front of her.

"Good afternoon madam," the woman said calmly. Naomi wondered If she was the one the middle-aged woman called "madam." She looked back. Maybe the madam was behind her because she couldn't understand why the woman would call her madam.

Madam Naomi" the woman called again drawing back her attention. "I'm referring to you," the woman spoke calmly.

"Where is this? Am I dead? Is this heaven?" She asked in a calm voice expecting an answer from the middle-aged woman.

"Follow me, madam," the woman said turning back to the direction she came from. Naomi obediently followed her in silence. As they got to the middle of the hallway, the woman turned following a grand staircase that led to the dining. Naomi gasped as she saw the grand staircase glittering like gold. She dusted her foot before she stepped on the staircase in order not to dirty the golden staircase. She walked gently on the stairs counting her every step. When she got to the dining room, she gasped on seeing the dining table made of pure glass. She could perfectly see herself in it, the dining table was so long that it had twenty-Six chairs around it in total.

She pulled out a chair and asked Naomi to sit on it. She wondered why they were treating her like royalty that she was not. She obediently sat on the chair and waited. She had more questions to ask the woman but she didn't because she knew the woman won't answer her. Another lady which seemed to be in her late twenties came with a tray of food with water and wine in the tray and set it before Naomi. This young lady was also wearing the same outfit as the middle-aged woman which seemed like a uniform but they wore different caps.

Her stomach started growling. She had gotten to her peak. She opened the fancy cover and the aroma of the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich filled the air. Her mouth began to water and she dug in like a hungry beast that had not been fed for days. The two women left her to eat her food in silence. Naomi enjoyed the food and kept on eating

"You are awake," she heard a familiar voice from the opposite double door of the dining room.

"Mr. Knight," she said in a hushed tone raising her head gently with food stuck in her mouth. She scanned him from head to toe and she managed to swallow the food in her mouth so that it won't fall.

"This man is so breathtaking, a special being," she said to herself. His beauty in casuals was beyond explanation to Naomi. She was lost in thoughts that she didn't notice when he pulled out the chair right beside her and sat on it.

"Miss Naomi Banks" he called drawing her attention back.

"Uhmm sir?" she answered in shock, surprised to see him right beside her. "Bu-bu-but how did you get here so quick?" she asked stammering.

"How would you know when you were lost in thoughts?" he replied to her in a harsh tone.

She always wondered how the way the man could complete her every sentence. Sometimes she even wondered if he was actually human or maybe something else.

"So welcome to my little abode and you will be staying here for the mean time because it is dangerous for you out there," he said focusing on his mobile phone.

The word "little abode" rang in her head again as she scanned the dining room. Her mood changed as the thought of her younger brother came to her mind.

"What about my brother?" she asked, her voice reeking of fear.

"Ohh Rex?" he looked at her. He noticed the tears in her eyes. "Rex is fine you don't have you worry about him, you can call him if you want." He added that last part because he knew she wasn't satisfied with the answer he gave her.

"My phone," she muttered checking the pocket of the nightie she was wearing.

"The company owes you one," he said in a calm tone staring at her.

She fixed her eyes on him looking confused. "But what happened? How did I get here?" She asked in a confused manner, more like she was trying to remember something.

"So you can't remember anything?" he fixed his eyes on her expecting an answer.

"The only thing I remember is your car. Yes we were together in your car."

He looked at her "Ha-ha-ha" he laughed. Almost immediately, a devilish smile played across his face. She looked at him in confusion, trying to figure out why her boss was laughing like the devil himself.

"Miss Banks, you must be joking," he said in a serious voice. Naomi looked at him in confusion. She was sure of what she said.

"A psycho got in and almost kidnapped you in the office rooftop yesterday and you passed out in the process but he was able to escape. It was also reported that some masked men broke into your home yesterday and scattered everywhere but luckily your brother wasn't around, and we don't know what they are after, so you should stay here for the mean time. I don't want rumors about my secretary and my company."

She was shocked after what she heard from her boss. She couldn't put everything together. She remembered she had to check up on Rex to be sure if he was fine but she remembered her phone was nowhere to be found.

"Mr. Knight" she called him in a fearful tone.

"Yes," he answered focusing on his phone.

"When will the company be getting me a new phone, I need to reach Rex."

"Soon," he replied still focused on his phone

"But..."

"You know I hate questions. I already said soon. Any other thing? I have a lot of stuff to do.

"Ehmm," she swallowed hard.

"I need to stop by at my apartment to get some stuff," she answered him.

"What stuffs?" he turned his gaze towards her, expecting a reasonable answer.

"My clothes," she said turning her face down.

"What clothes?" he asked as he fixed his eyes on her.

"M-my clothes," she replied still placing her head down.

"Naomi, what clothes?" he questioned her in confusion.

"I mean to say some of my important stuff," she said, her expression unnerving.

"I think you are hiding something. What is it you are not saying?" he asked as he drew the chair he was sitting on closer to her.

She swallowed hard when he drew his chair close to her. "I mean, I need to get my underwear, my panties, and bras," she said in embarrassment.

"Was that what you couldn't say?" he stared at her and burst out laughing, making her feel more embarrassed, "We'll get everything you need soon, any other thing?"

"No," she murmured.

"Well I have things to do, make yourself feel comfortable." He stood up and turned around, leaving Naomi on the dining table. He stopped as soon as he reached the double door out of the dining room and turned back to face her.

"We would go to the office together, tomorrow" he said calmly as he left.

"I just wonder, this so-called CEO of mine is just annoying and mean, also very inquisitive," she said in annoyance as she kept on digging her fork in the empty plate annoyed.

"Most times Lucian, I just wonder the way you cope here in this room of yours," Max said, staring at Lucian who was looking like the devil himself.

"Cut the crap Max, you coming to my room is weird, and the way you appear unexpectedly any news?"

"Karl," Max grunted, his voice showing his anger.

"What damage did he cause again?"

"I found the dead bodies near the underground channel but I took care of it. The world must never find out about him and he mustn't find out Naomi's existence. We need to act fast Lucian."

"Can't you see I'm working on it?" Lucian grunted. "But I think she's already falling for me."

Naomi trekked home, depressed thinking of how she and her 18-year-old younger brother would survive. She had just lost her job as a hotel waitress because she slapped one of the VIP's in the hotel when he was trying to harass her. Her dignity was something she never joked with. Tears dropped from the corner of her eyes as she remembered her mother's words about her body.

"Never sell your body to men and always try your best to keep your virginity for your husband," their mother would always say. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she remembered their mother. Things were good for them until their mother passed away. Their mother use to work in the C&J pharmacy company before she died in a ghastly motor accident on her way to Naomi's graduation from college. Naomi waited anxiously that day for her and she was happy because her mother found a way to create time for her out of her busy schedule. When the ceremony was about to start Naomi who was still hoping for her mother's arrival got a call from the hospital and on getting there she found her mother's corpse. That was the worst day of her life. None of her mother's family members helped or came to their rescue after the death of her mother.

The only thing left for them was their house and some of their mother's possessions. Naomi sold off all the properties leaving their house when her younger brother Rex wanted to resume college a year ago. She walked home in silence thinking of how she would cater for their needs. She got home and made corn dogs and she settled down on the sofa to eat when she heard a knock on the door. She wondered who it was

"I must have left the gate opened," she thought to herself. She opened the door and was surprised to see Kate.

"Girl I've missed you so much," Kate dropped her bag as she hugged Naomi, tightly. "I only left for three months it's more like I left for five years. She pushed Naomi out of the way and ran inside and jumped on the long couch. " I miss this place, home is sweet, sweet home" she murmured as she closed her eyes, placing her two hands behind her head lying on the couch.

Naomi stared at her friend and smiled and she carried her bag inside and placed it on the table.

"So how is work over there?" Naomi asked tapping her friend.

"Well, good. Guys, I'm fucking hungry. Got any food to eat ?" She asked as she opened her eyes.

"Only corn dogs."

"Corn dogs again! I must consider that your favorite meal". She stood up heading to the kitchen, rubbing her flat stomach.

"Don't you even think of doing that, you know how Rex acts if he doesn't find his lunch when he gets back," Naomi grunted, making Kate pause and turn in disbelief.

"You can join me here, I have mine with me."

"Don't tell me that guy is still like that," she said walking towards Naomi.

"Well he is still the baby Rex that we all know," Naomi replied as she shook her head.

"I think he'd change when he eventually has someone to call a girlfriend," Kate mumbled. "So how is work at Grek hotel?"

Naomi burst into tears and Kate stood up and sat beside her on the table.

"Naomi what is wrong?" Kate asked.

"I lost it again," Naomi replied. "The tears rolled down her cheeks as she narrated everything to Kate.

"Don't worry everything is going to be fine," Kate assured her.

"How am I supposed to pay for Rex's tuition fee?" Naomi sobbed.

"I'm just tired Kate. Honestly I'm tired. I mean I've searched for jobs everywhere, I keep on going for interviews in different companies and they keep on rejecting me."

"I think I have an idea," Kate said which made Naomi raise her head hoping for a better solution.

"I'll tell my uncle about it but I know you won't like it, remember he has shares in C&J maybe he can do something about it. I know you don't want to work for them because of your mum's death but we don't have a choice now. Just cheer up everything is going to be fine, smile for baby."

"Alright," she said sniffing her nose. "But who is baby?" Naomi asked in confusion.

"Me of course, I'm a baby that deserves to be babied," kaKatete added causing both of them to burst into laughter.

"Speaking of baby, how is Red doing?" Naomi asked as she wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.

"Well, I broke up with him," Kate said.

"Why?" Naomi asked surprised.

"He cheated," Kate said. "I caught him in the act in his apartment" she added as she broke into tears. Naomi patted her friend's back as she spoke.

"He promised me the world, Naomi. He told me he wanted me to be the mother of his unborn children, he said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, Naomi. I gave him everything, I spent my life savings on him, I turned deaf ears to all the people who gave me advice about him, even you Naomi, I almost fought with you because of him. I loved him with everything in me, but what did he do in return, he cheated. He came to my apartment the next day to break up with me and he told me they would be getting married soon." Naomi could only stare at her friend in silence. "I've always loved him and trusted him, I even aborted for him but what did he do? I'm fucking done with the relationship."

Naomi hugged her tightly consoling her "Don't worry everything is going to be fine, everyone knows Red doesn't deserve you. He is a cheat and a liar. I don't want you to get heartbroken Naomi, the feeling is not nice at all. You won't be able to handle it, don't be like me. I've dated six guys and nothing is coming out of it, you know I envy you, you are still untouched."

"Shh, don't worry about me I'll be fine just focus on getting better," Naomi said as she hugged her friend tightly.

"Let go of me and pass me the plate of corn dogs," she said as she released herself from Naomi sniffing her nose and wiping tears off her face. I'm fine now I know that jerk doesn't deserve me I won't waste my tears on some nitwit" she said forcing the tears back inside her eyes.

Naomi gave her the plate and smiled at her. "Just cheer up everything is going to be okay, hmm. So you came back to cool off right?"

"Hell no, I miss my best friend, I miss chatting and gossiping with you physically, you know that chatting online is quite boring. I was given a two months break at work so I decided to spend it with my bestie," she said as she kissed Naomi's cheeks.

Naomi stared at her making Kate wonder if anything was wrong with her face.

"Is anything glued to my face?" Kate asked touching her cheeks.

"No, but why did you ask?"

"You know since when I stepped into this house today, your behavior is quite strange. What is going in that innocent mind of yours?" Kate smiled.

"We've been friends for twenty years now you've always been by my side, helping me out with every little thing I need... when we were in elementary school, high school, and even college. You are the kind of friend anyone could dream of having. You were the only one that came to my rescue after mum's death. What more could I ask for? I just love you Kate and thank you for everything."

"Don't make me emotional this morning, I mean I don't want to cry. I've cried enough this morning," she said sniffing up her nose trying to push back the tears in her eyes. "That's why we are best friends Naomi. Can you also remember what you did for me when my parents passed away that I refused to live with granny?"

Naomi stared at her trying to remember "oh oh oh, I think I remember now. The long list I wrote to my mum listing the reasons why she must accept you and why we should live together as one family," she added causing both of them to laugh. "Thank you for everything kate," Naomi said as she hugged her tightly.

"Enough of the talk, Naomi, let's get to work," Kate said as she released herself from Naomi's embrace. She brought her laptop out of her bag leaving Naomi in confusion.

"Let's check if there is any job vacancy in C&J and if there is not we'd know what to do," she added focusing on the screen of her laptop. Naomi started at her in silence watching her.

"So two secretary sits are empty that of the CEO and the general secretary. I'll check what the CEO looks like first, who knows..." Kate said staring at Naomi devilishly.

"Mr. Radford Banks is the CEO of C&J, she said turning her gaze in Naomi's direction."

"Radford Banks?" Naomi asked surprised. "There should be a picture or something there." She stood up and sat beside Kate. She was shocked when she saw the man's picture.

"What is going on Naomi? why are you looking lost?."

"Remember that mum never allowed us to go to C&J?", Naomi asked.

"Yes, I remember."

"And she never talks about him."

"Y-es-ss. What does Radford Banks have to do with..., Holy shit.

Radford Banks, Naomi Banks is he your father?".

"I guess so."

"How can you be so sure? I thought you never knew what he looks like?"

"I saw him twice when I was six. He never liked mum I also saw some pictures of both of them when they were lovers, so I'd be working under this bloody bastard that abandoned us."

"Lucian please save me!!!", Anna cried out as the girl held her head and he dug his fangs into her neck sucking her blood.

"Annaaaa", Lucian cried out running as fast as he could, he noticed he wasn't leaving one spot as he was running. " what have you done to me you beast!!!!", Lucian cried out facing keel.

Karl sighed as the dropped Anna's lifeless body on the floor staring at Lucian like the devil that he Is, licking Anna's blood from the lower part of his lips. Lucian broke down as he saw Anna's body lifeless on the ground.

"Hahaha," keel laughed sarcastically.

"I thought you said she is my doom, I was thinking I would just perish after taking her blood."

He teleported right to his front, using one of his fingers to raise Lucian's chin. He noticed tears flowing from his eyes continuously.

"Awwwnn poor little Lucian, how does it feel to see your lover get killed by a vampire? so sad. However, there is something strange about her blood. When I held her head and dipped my fangs into her skin, her blood kept calling me to continue digging, to continue sucking."

He noticed the pain and anger in Lucian's eyes. "Poor Lucian, you are so soft, you still want to live like humans when you know you are no longer one. I don't know why you still have sentiments, you still have a human heart that's why you can never defeat me. You have fangs and claws like me, you are a beast!!!, always remember that."

Lucian opened his eyes staring at the ceiling of his room with sweat dripping from his face to his pillow.

"Dream again huh?"

Lucian stood up from his bed and went to the bathroom to wash his sweat off his face. He came out of the bathroom with a towel around his neck.

"Any news about the girl?."

" not yet, just Karl again."

"What harm did he cause this time?"

"He is requesting for twenty girls ranging from age 13 to 19 from the government. I honestly don't know what he is up to this time."

"Their blood, he wants to accumulate more strength. We are better to save those girls Max."

"But how? we rarely take human blood Lucian, especially you."

"We'd strike this night before they take the girls to his cave, so we won't have to fight Karl directly." Lucian left Max alone In his favorite spot in his room to join the rest. He wondered why Max loves sitting by his window side.

"Max has probably told you, what do we, Lucian?"

"We'll strike and save the girls on their way to his cave. That's the only thing we can do. They won't take the girls there in the broad daylight. Any other updates?"

"The CEO of C&J is also Karl's puppet."

"Radford Banks?"

"Yes", Scott answered.

" I just knew there was something strange about the guy. Derek, contact our investigator we need to know everything about that man, his family every single thing about him."

Derek rose from the table leaving the four behind.

"Max!" Kai called. Making Max turn his gaze towards him.

"When did you get here?"

"I've been here since when Lucian got here." He answered still fixing his gaze on kai.

"The way you exercise your powers these days is quite strange," Scott said from the other end of the table where he sat.

"Guys" Lucian called their attention together.

" I have this feeling Karl knows about the girl."

"Why did you say so?", Scott asked.

"His dreams came back", Max replied.

"Ohhh, the prophecy." Remember the witch said anytime she is close to us, Karl will eventually find out with his powers." Scott added. "Are you saying she is close to us? but how come we..."

Kai looked through the window and noticed the moon coming out.

"Guy-sss", Kai called them drawing their attention to the full moon coming out.

"We need to move now," Lucian said as the rose from the table.

"Fuck!!!", Scott said and he banged the table and followed Lucian.

"How the heck did we forget that the full moon is going to be out today?", kai said as they both left the table teleporting out of the house.

"Can't you see a man in a black cloak in front?" The driver asked the man the first passenger to sit.

"Just hit and pass." The first in the black suit advised the driver.

"You're telling me to fucking kill a man huh!!?, ain't fucking do that shit. I'm gonna go down, tell him to leave my way and if the dude doesn't wanna flee I'm gonna punch his fucking nose off." He pulled the gear and walked toward where the man in black stood.

"Blacks are annoying". The second man in the black suit said as he sighed.

"Hey, I need you to stay outta my way now."

Max removed the hood on his head, exposing his face.

"Woahh. Ya fucking showing me some skills huh? I need you to get outta my way now man."

"Run or die?"

"What the fuck are you saying man? I said get...", Max used his eyes to lift him holding his neck in the air.

"Look" the second man in black called the attention of the first man in black.

"He must be a vampire like Karl, we have to run guy."

"What about the girls?." The second man in black asked.

"We've drugged them, let's go, man."

They got down from the van running back in the direction they were coming from.

"Not too fast guys."

They heard a deep voice from behind them. They stopped and turned in fear to see who is behind them. Before they could even turn Scott pulled their heads and hit them together, causing both of them to faint.

"I swear to God, ain't know anything about that shit. They said they were gonna pay me if I take them to some god motherfucking cave. Please don't kill me, I got a wife and two kids." The black man pleaded as Max held him in the air.

Max dismissed him and the man ran without leaving a trace.

"Let's go and drop the girls," Kai said.

"Where is Lucian?", Scott asked in confusion.

"He didn't follow us here", Max replied.

As Kai wanted to open the door to the driver's seat he felt something sharp on his neck, before he knew it his head hit the van's bonnet and he met himself on the floor.

"Lucian's puppets messing with my preys huh?" Karl scoffed as he stared at Kai lying on the floor.

"Karl!!!!, let them go."

Karl turned upon hearing Lucian's voice.

"Here comes the great Lucian knight," Karl said as he clapped for Lucian.

"Let's have a deal, Karl. Let the boys and the girls go then have me."

"What a nice deal old friend."

"But we can't leave you here Lucian," Max said.

"Take Kai and the girls out of here"

"Lucainnn"

"Now Max".

They both carried Kai and dropped him in the van and zoomed off.

"Your weakling pawns love you huh."

"You've wanted to kill me right after you killed Anna four thousand years ago right? take me now you bloody beast!!!!."
