Chapter 1 1

On a quiet morning in the town of Millwood, the sun shines a warm light, bringing hope that life will spring up again. Sally Boston is busy with her activities in the Millwood Middle School classroom. A passionate teacher, she is known to her students for her creative and fun teaching style. But behind his smile, he carries the dreams and fears that surround his heart.

As she arranges her books on the table, Sally thinks about the challenges she faces as a single mother. Her son Liam, a happy boy with long hair and an imaginative mind, looks up to her. "I have to be strong for him," she whispered to herself as she looked at the pictures she and Liam took. She always prays to be a good mother and teacher.

But behind his strength, there are shadows that motivate him-the fear of the rich, caused by his past. That opportunity came, when he met one of the richest people in their town.

It was a week before the school's annual charity event, when the invitation came to Sally. It contained the name of the most influential person in town, Joaquin Mercedes, the billionaire owner of the school. His fear immediately returned. "Why do we need to meet the rich?" he asked himself, as he thought about his experiences with rich and powerful people.

Once, his father worked for a rich family as a caretaker, but soon his family was hurt. Fear and suffering remained in his mind. He doesn't want to repeat the past, especially for his son.

When the day of the charity event came, Sally dressed in a simple white blouse and navy blue skirt, hoping that people wouldn't notice her. But upon his arrival at the venue, he was mesmerized by the luxury of the place. The decorations, the brightness of the lights, and the smiles of the guests seemed like a dream.

In her shock, Sally thought about leaving. But he decided to stay, because it was an opportunity to show support to his school. He started walking around, keeping an eye on his surroundings.

An hour passed, and Sally felt anxious. "Why don't I seem to fit in here?" he thought. He continued walking, until he encountered a wall of visitors. There, he suddenly saw Joaquin, standing in the middle of the group. His charisma and blazing eyes seemed to give a presence to the surroundings.

As Sally approached, he couldn't deny the attraction to her. Joaquin's eyes were full of determination and sincerity. He was dressed in a black suit that matched his figure, giving an impression of power and allure.

But as he approached, he hesitated. "Okay, I'm just a teacher. I have no right to be a part of his world," he whispered to himself.

Because of his thoughts, he didn't notice Joaquin approaching him. "Excuse me, are you a teacher here?" he asked with a smile. Sally was surprised and stopped. "Ah, yes. I'm Sally Boston," she answered, shyly.

"I'm glad to meet you, Sally," replied Joaquin, with a calm and kind voice. "I noticed your dedication to the children at school. This charity event is for them."

Here, Sally suddenly felt the tension in her heart. "Thank you very much, Mr. Mercedes. All this is for them," he replied. He felt the door to their conversation open.

As they talked, Sally felt her fear gradually disappear. Joaquin seems to surpass his imagination as a billionaire. His questions are full of understanding and respect, and Sally gradually learns that there is a deeper person behind her wealth.

"How did you find your passion for teaching?" asked Joaquin. Sally thought and talked about her students and the joy that comes from teaching. As he tells the story, Joaquin notices the fire in his eyes.

But soon, the happy conversation is interrupted when Katharina, an ambitious friend of Sally's, approaches. "Joaquin, would you like to meet the other guests?" she asked, seeming to show her interest in Joaquin.

In an instant, Joaquin lost his gaze on Sally. He felt annoyed. At that moment, Sally's fear returned. "This is right. I should go now," he thought, as he decided to leave their conversation.

But before he could get away, Joaquin called him. "Sally, I want to get to know you better. Let's start talking again. I will be at the school next week," he said with a smile.

His words gave Sally hope, but she also felt dread. "What if I make a mistake? What if my fear happens again?" he asked himself.

As he returned home, these questions flooded his mind. Fear and hope collided, but despite everything, she left Joaquin with smiles. He felt a new beginning, a hope in spite of the fears returning to his mind.

While in her room, Sally looked at the pictures hanging on the wall. "I have to be strong for Liam," she whispered, determined to pursue her dreams.

In the following days, Sally couldn't get Joaquin out of her mind. A billionaire full of mystery and personality, and their conversation gave him the courage to open his heart again.

Next time, he will wait for a new beginning. Her fears gradually disappear, and with each step, she learns that love and hope always have a place in her life.

But their story does not end here. The test is coming, and her determination to be a good mother and teacher will be tested in the days to come. In the midst of fears and dreams, a new chapter begins-a story of love and hard work that is unexpected.

Chapter 2 2

As Sally returns to her daily routine at school after the event, she brings new energy. Her conversation with Joaquin left a strange joy in her heart, but there was also a part of her mind that worried about the possibility of new complications.

Inside his classroom, the children are eagerly waiting for their next lesson. "Good morning, children!" Sally greeted cheerfully as she entered the classroom. The students immediately responded, "Good morning, Miss Boston!"

Today, Sally plans to teach about ecosystems, a topic that is both important and interesting. As he prepared the materials, he felt the children looking at him, their eyes full of wonder and admiration.

"Now, let's explore the magical world of ecosystems. Do you know that every creature, big or small, has an important role to play?" he began. The children listen intently, some nod, while others seem to be still thinking.

In the middle of the lesson, Joaquin suddenly entered the room, along with the school principal. Sally was shocked, but tried to hide her shock. "Class, we have special guests today," Sally said, pointing to the two.

"Good morning, students," greeted Joaquin with a smile. "I've heard about your wonderful teacher and I want to see your class in action."

The children, not used to seeing a visitor like Joaquin, were slightly starstruck. "Wow, is he the owner of the school?" whispered a student next to him.

Meanwhile, Sally invited Joaquin to sit down and participate in the discussion. "Would you like to provide insight about our topic, Mr. Mercedes?" he asked, slightly nervous about Joaquin's possible reaction.

"Can you just call me Joaquin here, Sally?" Joaquin replied with a hint of mischief in his tone. "And yes, I am happy to participate. Did you know that ecosystems can change and adapt depending on our actions as humans?"

As Joaquin explains his point, Sally notices his ability to connect with children. He is not only a distant school owner, but a person with a deep understanding of education and nature conservation.

After class, the principal approached Sally. "Sally, it seems that Mr. Mercedes to the kids, and to you too, if I'm not mistaken," he said with a suggestive smile.

"Yes, I'm surprised at his knowledge and how he gets the kids' attention," Sally replied, trying to hide her growing admiration for Joaquin.

While putting away his things, Joaquin approached Sally. "I hope I wasn't too busy in your class. I'm really impressed with the way you teach," he said, his eyes looking directly at hers.

"Thank you, Joaquin. I'm glad you got to see our little world here in the classroom," Sally replied, her heart pounding in her chest. "And I'm sorry if I seemed surprised earlier, I wasn't expecting your visit."

"I understand, and I'm sorry if I came suddenly. I just really want to see how you teach. And maybe..." Joaquin paused, looking for the right words, "maybe I also want more opportunities to get to know you more."

Sally felt a strange warmth in her heart. It was as if a door had opened that he had closed for a long time. But there was still a part of his mind that doubted, wondering if this was the beginning of a new story or another complication he would have to deal with.

As they talk, Sally gradually learns about parts of Joaquin's life that most people don't-his love for nature, his focus on education, and his dream of making a bigger impact on the world.

As their conversation deepened, recess time arrived. "Would you like to join me and the kids on the playground? This is a good opportunity for you to see more of how we interact outside of the classroom," Sally invited Joaquin, showing her willingness to show the full face of his daily routine.

Joaquin nodded, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'd like that, Sally. Thanks for the invite," he replied as he followed her towards the playground where the children were happily playing.

As they walked towards the playground, Sally noticed that many of the children immediately approached Joaquin, seemingly attracted to his presence. Maybe it's because of his warm and open demeanor that they rarely see in adults.

"Mr. Mercedes, would you like to try playing the upside down prisoner?" asked a boy, holding a can and slippers.

"Ah, why not? Remind me how to play it," Joaquin replied with a smile, ready to mingle with the children and experience their world.

The children laughed as they explained the rules of the game. Sally smiled at what she saw. This is not only a chance for Joaquin to see his world, but also for Sally to see another side of Joaquin-his ability to fit in and get along with his students.

After their game, they sat on a bench by the playground, watching the children play and run around.

"Sally, I didn't expect it to be this much fun," Joaquin said, his voice full of admiration. "Is this why you chose teaching?"

Sally looked at him, her face serious. "Yes, Joaquin. I love my job because of the children. Seeing them learn and grow-it gives me an incomparable feeling. And it also lightens my burdens," he shares, opening his heart .

Joaquin noticed the change in the tone of her voice, and he wondered how much he still didn't know about Sally. "Sally, may I ask? What are those burdens you speak of?" Joaquin asked cautiously, not wanting to sound intrusive.

Sally took a deep breath before answering. "Well, Joaquin, it's not easy being a single mother. There are days when I feel like I can't take it anymore, but I have to be strong for Liam. He's my strength," she confessed, her eyes sad but full of determination.

Joaquin nodded, his eyes full of understanding. "Sally, I salute you. It's not easy to do what you do, especially alone."

In that moment, Sally felt a connection between them that she hadn't expected-a sense of understanding, that somehow, someone saw her struggle and effort.

Their conversation continued until after recess, and as she walked back to the classroom, Sally felt a new kind of hope. Perhaps, despite all her fears, there is a chance for a new beginning, not only for her but also for Liam.

At the end of the day, as Sally puts away her things, one thing is clear to her: her life, full of challenges, can have a new chapter, a chapter in which she and Joaquin can work together on facing the challenges and opportunities that life brings.

Chapter 3 3

After a positive day at school, Sally returns home with mixed emotions. Her thoughts are swirling with recent events, especially her relationship with Joaquin. That night, he sat on his veranda, looking at the stars, contemplating his life and the changes that might come.

As the night deepened, there was a sudden knock on his door. Sally was surprised to see Joaquin in front of her, carrying a small bouquet of wildflowers. "Good evening, Sally. I'm sorry if it's so sudden, but I thought you might want to go for a walk with me. I know a good spot near the river where the view of the stars is beautiful," said Joaquin with a slight smile. - hesitate.

Sally hesitated for a moment. The idea of walking at night with Joaquin is both attractive and terrifying because of the potential complications in their professional relationship. But in the end, his curiosity and the need for a little change from the daily routine prompted him to accept the invitation.

They started walking towards the river, with the moonlight casting a cold ray on their path. While walking, they talked about different things-from their favorite books to their dreams to come true. Each sharing brings them closer, not just as co-workers but as friends.

Arriving at the river, they stopped at a small clearing where the sky was clearly visible. They sat on the grass, looking out into space.

"You know, Sally, I rarely find someone to talk to about these things. The ones about the stars, nature, and the deeper meaning of life," Joaquin admitted while looking up at the sky.

Sally felt an unexpected connection. "Me too, Joaquin. I'm usually so busy teaching and worrying about the future, I rarely get to focus on moments like this."

While talking, Sally gradually felt her heart opening. Fear and hesitation are gradually replaced by a new feeling-the feeling of possibility.

Suddenly, a strong wind blew, moving the leaves and blowing cold air around. They looked at each other, and in a moment of spontaneity, Joaquin took Sally's hand. The warmth of his palm brought a strange comfort to the cold night.

"Sally, I don't know where we're going from here," Joaquin started, his voice soft. "But I do know that I want to explore every possibility that we have."

Sally nodded, her eyes filled with new hope and determination. "Me too, Joaquin. Me too."

As they returned to town, they both sensed that night could be the beginning of a new chapter in their lives-the chapter in which not only the stars light their path, but each of them in each one.

-

After their night of discovery and conversation under the stars, Sally and Joaquin walked back to town with mixed feelings of excitement and trepidation. The quiet night, the cool breeze, and the clear sky created a perfect scene for the new feelings that were brewing in their hearts.

As they approached Sally's house, they both hesitated to end the night. Each step seemed to slow down, both unwilling to break free of the magic they felt. Finally, they stopped at Sally's front door, both reluctant to say goodbye.

"Joaquin, thank you so much for tonight. I didn't expect it to be this... beautiful," Sally said, her eyes filled with gratitude and a hint of longing.

Joaquin, staring into her eyes, felt a strong pull that he couldn't deny. "Sally, I have a feeling I can't explain. I don't know if it's right, but..."

Joaquin didn't finish what he had to say. Instead, driven by a rush of emotion, he slowly brought his face closer to Sally's. He looked into her eyes, looking for any resistance, but all he saw was a gentle invitation.

And under the dim light of the street lamp, he gently pressed his lips to Sally's. It was a short but passionate kiss, a desire to express his feelings beyond words.

Sally, though surprised, did not push Joaquin away. Instead, she responded with a kiss, a confirmation of her own feelings that she had been suppressing. Their kiss symbolizes a new beginning, a confession of their long-hidden feelings.

After a while, Joaquin relaxed and took a deep breath. "Sally, I'm sorry if I was too rash. I shouldn't have done that without your permission," he said, his voice full of concern.

Sally smiled, her eyes twinkling in the lamp post. "Joaquin, you don't need to apologize. The truth is, I'm glad you did," he said, his voice soft but full of sincerity.

Joaquin breathed a sigh of relief, his heart filled with happiness and hope. "I hope this is just the beginning, Sally. I hope we have many more nights like this," he said, not just as a promise but as a prayer.

Sally nodded, "Me too, Joaquin. Me too."

They said goodbye to each other that night, not just as work colleagues but as two people who opened their hearts to the possibility of a new love story. A simple kiss served as a bridge for feelings that had long been waiting to be expressed, and now, finally, they were free to explore where it would take them.
