Ha Na fluttered her weak eyes open, only to see someone growling at her making her breath caught up in her throat. She quickly closed her eyes, lips quiver trying not to move an inch. She clicked her tongue, not wanting to make a single sound as she flinched when she heard another growled. She slightly open her eyelids, eyes flickered towards the figure to see a-
A werewolf.
Her eyes widened as she wondered, aren't all werewolves already eliminated or even banished from the Kingdom? There was no way that kind would be a simple wolf out there.
Ha Na gritted her teeth, hissing silently when she felt pain shot through her entire body, and trying to suppress the groan from escaping her mouth. Because if she makes a sound, she would be dead with the werewolf in front of her.
The fragile lady closed her eyes again, and chest falls heavy from the drowned out energy of her body. Before her eyes went close, she heard a growl coming from someone. Forcing her eyes to open, she saw a black tail-a furry black tail.
A black werewolf?
She was confused as to why such thing existed-yes, werewolves do exist but a truly black one? She have never met one before but she guessed seeing one makes her feel honored.
It has been known in history that a black werewolf has always been a very rare one, and a very special one along with the pure white werewolf. The common characteristics of a wolf would be either brown, gray, silver, reddish or dirty white.
With everything that happened, she falls to darkness from the tiredness of her body yet a smile formed on her lips, sensing the familiar scent of someone. Someone that she missed having around and shivers ran down her spine, hearing someone says.
"It's you." The familiarity of the voice made Ha Na forcing her drooping eyes to open. "I finally found you."
It was what she heard before falling to unconsciousness, not fully passed out but not completely awake as well. It was just her body reacting to the tiredness and weakness after all that happened.
Even with that, Ha Na could still feel an arm wrapping around her petite body, and a soft whimper escaped her lips, feeling herself not being able to breathe due to the speed of the person holding her. She was surprised at the speed of the black werewolf.
Murmurs and snickers could be heard from various people before yells and screams echoes throughout the forest. The light from the outside was replaced with dim light inside the room, more like a tent.
The place was where the wolves evacuated during the Werewolves Massacre-that's what they called the event that caused chaos in the entire wolf race because as soon as the vampires hunted down wolves, they immediately evacuated deep in the forest that no one even knows except them.
"Make sure she will be alright." A voice demanded as the other person replied with politeness and humbleness.
Ha Na completely closed her eyes, too tired to even force it open no matter what she do. Her mind wandered to Jimin, Jin and everyone, especially Taehyung. How are they?
The man who saved her, looked at her once again before leaving the tent but she heard another voice came in the scene-telling the man something. He smiled at the thought of meeting her again. 'She still managed to look beautiful even though she struggled a lot to survive in this cruel world.'
As soon as the two got out, a woman ran to them at full speed as worry written in her eyes. The two men saw their Tía, immediately bowing to her in respect.
The Tía of the pack was a beautiful woman, looking like in her 30's-but probably the oldest werewolf that ever existed as of now. She looked at her son who just gave her a fake smile. She knew it was not true so she decided to let it go as her son left the other and her.
Tía sighed before facing the pale man. "Is everything alright, Yoongi?"
Yoongi nodded with a smile to reassure the Tía that the human girl will be saved.
"You will be able to save Ha Na, right? She is after all the Alpha's mate."
Yoongi internally groaned, but just smile to ease it off. "Let's just trust the physician for now."
The Tía sighed in both relief and worry. She looked at Yoongi. "We will attack the current vampire king in a few days. Let's just wait for the Alpha's decision, and you gotta make sure there won't be any mistake."
Yoongi nodded again, not wanting to express his opinion. He was good at that. He has been ever since he entered the Werewolf's den-the Moon Pack. Yoongi, without hesitation, left the Tía to be alone, or maybe have some time with her future daughter-in-law-his ex. He shook off the idea of coveting his ex again. He doesn't want to cause any trouble, not in the Moon Pack-where the lives of the wolves he pledged with his life lives in. He wasn't meant for Ha Na and he knew that from the very start yet he still went against destiny. He was willing until he lost Ha Na that night to Taehyung.
As the Tía was left alone, she entered the tent where Ha Na was before sitting down beside her on the bed. She took her future daughter-in-law's hand with hers, blowing hot air to keep her warm as her eyes fixed her features.
"I'm glad I kept my promise this time. I'm so glad you are safe, and I'm sorry that I came late." After saying those words, she came out of the tent, going to the meeting room, only to see Yoongi discussing the matters regarding the attack with the other elders of the pack.
She decided not to interrupt as her eyes landed on her son who made his way inside Ha Na's tent.
MIN HA NA'S POINT OF VIEW (dream)
My eyes landed at the beautiful lady who was spinning her beautiful dress in the field of flower. "Jimin-ah!"
Her voice echoes the entire filled as the man in front of her watched her in full delight, and I could see his love as his eyes sparkled even from my place. I froze as a sudden splash of surprise hit me. Jimin? I watched him walking towards the lady, placing his palms on her cheeks.
He somehow muttered. "I'm sorry."
"What are you doing?" The beautiful woman asked in confusion.
"I have to kill you."
"But Jimin-" And that, he leaned near her neck with his sharp fangs appearing making me scream, covering my ears as I fell on my knees.
There was a moment of silence surrounding me as I opened my eyes again. I was still in the same place, but this time, I was at some gazebo. I glanced at the person who has his back facing me. He seemed familiar. I was about to pat his shoulder until a familiar voice asked. Similar to my voice. I turned around, freezing at my sight again as my throat started to dry.
"Are you perhaps, Kim Taehyung?"
Is that me? That cannot be me. My heart skipped a beat as the young man turned around.
What is this? Taehyung? A tear fell on my cheeks as I stumbled on my back. I felt suffocated and tightly close my eyes before opening them to see that I was in another place again.
I was in the forest watching a little wolf jumping around. Another pack of tears streamed down my face as I let out a breath to see my little pup, my little Jungkookie running around the place and even jumping around with a smile plastered on his face.
"Jungkookie?" I sobbed, cupping my mouth with my hands.
"Noona!" He yelled putting on a playful grin. I stood up to run to him but frowned when I suddenly can't see him.
Panic filled my entire body. I can't lose him again. "Where are you, Jungkookie?"
No response from the little. It made me worried. After what it feels like not seeing him, I ran around the forest to find him, yelling out random words. With one glance behind me, I saw Jungkook running away from me as he waved at me.
"I will see you soon, my noona!"
THIRD POINT OF VIEW
"Just what are you dreaming right now?" The latter asked, looking at Ha Na who is unconscious. He sighed, taking her small hands with his as he pressed his lips at the back of her hands.
"How hurt must've you been when you witnessed my death...my noona."
(+) Mature scene
Milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months-three months to be exact. Those months has been a torture to Namjoon, the current king of vampire and human races. Those days has been horrible to him with no one around to be by his side.
He sent Seokjin to the prison who was unwilling to participate with him. It was in Jin's nature to be loyal towards Taehyung. He locked Hoseok inside his room, never having his freedom ever since he decided to attack Namjoon back then. He had Jimin fall into his illness ever since Taehyung's death and he has been eaten by his own guilt, blaming himself that he was the one who drove Taehyung to his death instead of Namjoon.
Despite the hatred, deaths and coldness from his loved ones inside the palace, Namjoon had to stay strong. However, he became ruthless, wicked, violent, merciless, brutal and everything evil that describes him. His way of ruling over both races was even more terrifying than Taehyung's rule. That was his only way to show his strength and power towards them-to let them know who now rules the Kingdom.
Right now, he walked down to his mistress' room whom he doesn't have any idea what is her name. These past few months, it has always been like that. Namjoon bringing in concubines-never appointed a Queen because the only Queen he considered in his kingdom and heart will always and forever be Elisse, his soulmate. If he were to count his concubines, it would take around more than 200 inside his harem in just a span of 3 months. But no one could ever satisfy his thirst.
Namjoon' s eyes widened, choking his own saliva when he realised that there was someone underneath him. His breath hitched as he fucked her senselessly while the concubine kept on moaning his name. But this frustrated Namjoon to the fullest leading him to slap the woman underneath.
"Namjoon!" The woman yelped, covering her swollen cheeks while looking at Namjoon who just sobered up already.
"How dare you call me by my name?! I am the King!" Namjoon hissed, reminding her place. The only punishment he could give to the woman was fuck her hard to the point of ripping and tearing her apart.
Instead of hurting in pain, the woman was having fun-it was an honour for her to get pleasured hard by the King. And she did call and moan 'King', not wanting to interrupt their little moment. However, the way that the woman was acting, it enraged the ruler even more than he imagined. He wanted her to experience pain, fear, to see her cry but no, the woman was so pleasured.
Namjoon's eyes turned red-a sign of anger, and before the woman could react, when she saw his eyes, Namjoon already sank his teeth deep on her neck and drained out her energy and blood leading the woman to become lifeless. It almost satisfied Namjoon to the fullest. Other than being able to drink blood, he was satisfied that he got to kill 34 concubines just this week. It didn't even bother nor surprise him to know that since everyday, he would be able to bring another 2-3 concubines.
Namjoon's thought was brought back to Elisse as he watched the lifeless body. He shook his head and turned around, dressing himself up.
Do I have to wait another thousand years for you to appear again? Namjoon thought, suppressing his tears. Why is the world so cruel to our destiny?
Ever wondered how Namjoon ended up being like this? It's because he has lost his soulmate. Elisse will always be the only one who could satisfy his longing and thirst, both by blood and pleasure.
As soon as he finished the girl, he instructed the guards outside to dispose the corpse in which they did it right away. One thing that came out of his mind was to release his frustration to Seokjin, and that, he found his way towards the dungeon where he sent Jin to.
He entered the prison, meeting Seokjin's eyes who seemed already exhausted from the torture, and not being able to eat nor drink blood for a few weeks. And sure, Namjoon did regret everything.
Seokjin inhaled sharply, pressing his lips into thin line as his eyes never left Namjoon who walked towards him. He already expected for the current king to visit him since it has always been like that everyday. Namjoon visiting Seokjin wasn't much a shock anymore.
Namjoon always talked to Seokjin, how his life became miserable over the past months-generally, how his life has been everyday. How he missed them but never did he tell Jin about him regretting about it.
"Did you touch another girl again?" Seokjin asked softly, expression remained emotionless. "Was it with consent this time or not?"
Namjoon sighed and sat, leaning back on the rails that separated the two. "That's none of your business."
Seokjin decided not to speak and remained silent, waiting for Namjoon to share his day. The eldest has always been a great listener and willing to listen to the others despite being cruel to him.
"Hyung." Namjoon started, facing Seokjin. "Why don't you become my right hand? Then Jimin would be my left hand. Hoseok would be my advisor."
Seokjin shook his head, looking down before looking back at Namjoon who has his eyes screaming with hope. He put on a smug, a bitter chuckle left his mouth. "Why?"
He wanted to irritate Namjoon. "Is it getting too lonely for you? I guess everyone has left you, right? Or maybe you locked them inside the palace."
Seokjin was aware that Hoseok and Jimin are still in the palace while the Princess was killed after Taehyung died. He was heartbroken by the thought, and no hope was left for him. Even if there was, he wouldn't grab the opportunity if it means having a bad conclusion. He didn't get why Namjoon had to kill the Princess when she did nothing except witnessing her brother's death. Why would he kill the Princess too?
That was what Seokjin heard from the guards after being inside the prison for so long. He didn't even know how many days he has been stuck inside this prison. It almost felt like a year to him. Nonetheless, Namjoon didn't answer the Duke. In fact, he doesn't know what to tell him. He can't seem to get out the right words to say. He was afraid his own words might backfire him.
Seokjin chuckled bitterly. "I guess this is how karma paid you a visit."
Namjoon opened his mouth to say something, yet again, no words came out. He was speechless. He has never won any fight against Seokjin and if he ever did, he himself would always end up being the bad one while Seokjin has the good decisions.
That's why he was afraid that his own words might betray him.
Even with Seokjin waiting for Namjoon to defend himself, the boy just stared at him. Seokjin understood the situation Namjoon was in. But no matter how much Namjoon apologises, he will never ever forgive him for what he did. Not only did he betray his best friend, but also the people in his now kingdom.
Seokjin snorted, tears cascaded down his cheeks, and quickly wiped it off while he locked gaze with Namjoon. His next words struck a hole to Namjoon's heart, creating an aching and agonising pain in his chest.
"You will be forever lonely in exchange for your greediness, Namjoon."
Namjoon smiled pitifully, mentally told himself. I guess I deserved this.
Hoseok paced back and forth inside his room, waiting for the maid to enter the room so he can finally attack her and have his freedom.
Ever since he interrupted that day where Namjoon decided to attack Taehyung, Namjoon was being merciful towards Hoseok, and decided to give him choices. But Hoseok never chose any of them, ending up him being locked up inside the palace, in his own room.
As he heard the door cracked open, he froze and waited for the maid to come in for his food-but boy he was wrong. Instead of a maid, Namjoon, himself was the one who entered the room.
"Hoseok-"
Hoseok hissed in defence, gritting his teeth while giving the tall man a deadly cold glare. "Namjoon."
Namjoon sighed, watching his best friend who was obviously and no doubt mad at him, but he was being patient.
"How are you doing?" Namjoon asked, giving a soft and caring tone to Hoseok who just snorted in amusement.
He scoffed, side of lips curving up. "I was fine until you entered this room."
Namjoon flinched at the tone and words from Hoseok-he felt dismay that the other was being this way. He just wanted to talk to him after imprisoning him for three months straight, not being able to see the light outside yet all Namjoon could do was take a deep breath, turning around and left the room until Hoseok called for him.
It accelerated Namjoon's dead heart to think that Hoseok stopped him, maybe to finally talk properly. However, instead of having a heart to heart talk, Namjoon was met with a blurry vision making his eyes widened and stumbled in surprise.
And that's how Hoseok was able to use his speciality as a Duke– the ability to adjust a person's vision. He was not the 5th of the first vampires that existed for no reason. He waited months to escape the palace, and this was the perfect time for him, especially when Namjoon was the one in front of him.
With that, Hoseok accelerated past Namjoon and left him, speeding towards Jimin's room. He knew that Jimin was still in the palace despite being sent outside the palace by Taehyung to look for Seokjin's child.
In fact, he also found out from the guards that a Duke came back to the palace, and was locked inside his bedroom. He thought that it was Jin but it was impossible since Seokjin escaped with Ha Na that day.
So it must be Jimin.
Hoseok barged inside Jimin's room, eyes landed on the already lifeless man in front of him. It was Jimin. He was startled at how ill Jimin looked right now- who was just lying, barely even breathing. He dashed towards the younger, shaking him and calling for his name but the younger didn't talk. Instead, he just moved his hands to hold Hoseok's thighs, and Hoseok's breath hitched when Jimin panted heavily while trying to talk.
"No. Don't talk." Hoseok said, putting his hands underneath Jimin's back. "Right now, we should escape."
He assisted Jimin up, and let him sit up at the edge of the table before bending down. He grabbed Jimin's wrist, wrapping it around his neck with his legs wrapped around the waist and lifted him up.
"Hold on to me." Hoseok announced, and adjusted Jimin's position while his hands held firmly his his waist. Jimin held him tightly even though he was too weak.
Hoseok immediately speeds out of the palace, blurring every person's vision along the way. Such then his nose twitched at the familiar scent near the palace, and snapped his head towards the dungeon's building. Kim Seokjin?
Hoseok halted his steps, sniffing one more time to make sure the scent belongs to him, or maybe it was just Namjoon's tricks. "Hyung? What is he doing here?"
Without hesitation, Hoseok goes all out to run towards the dungeon as he gripped Jimin's leg's on each of his side. "Hold still."
The guards that was guarding the dungeon soon saw Hoseok with Jimin, ended up having a small fight and them losing to a Duke.
Hoseok may be the weakest Duke but he can overpower every vampire that existed, aside from the other Dukes and Taehyung. He speeds inside the jail, panicking as he tried to find Seokjin's cell. And as soon as he did, he walked towards Seokjin, putting Jimin down on the floor before gripping the rails between them and tugged it to create sounds, waking the eldest up.
Seokjin looked at Hoseok, weakly. His state was no different from Jimin. He looked horrible as well like he hadn't been properly eating for days.
Hoseok released a loud sound of devastation, looking at Seokjin in sadness. "What happened to you?"
His lips quiver at the thought of the current king torturing Seokjin. "Just what did Namjoon did to you?"
Seokjin forced his weak eyes to open as he winced when he cracked his dried lips with a sad smile. "Hobi..."
"How did you end up here? I thought you and Ha Na escaped!" Hoseok cried out, tears streaming down his face. "Why do you looked so skinny, hyung? What have you been eating these days?"
Seokjin attempted to wet his lips but his mouth and throat was too dry. After what he said to Namjoon last week, he was punished with nothing to drink or eat for a week. He was guessing he did something to trigger the King even though he doesn't know himself what he did.
"I'm glad I was a-able to see you." Seokjin said, breathing heavily through his nostrils to get a ventilation.
"Hyung...." Hoseok inhaled sharply.
"Hoseok-ah." Seokjin's voice shuddered, weak eyes and sank eyes looked at Hoseok's face. "You and Jimin s-should go."
"What?" Hoseok's expression fell, grasping the rails tightly even more while he shook his head violently. "We should go together. I don't know how long you've been stuck here, but you looked like a corpse already!"
"We are already dead, Hoseok." Seokjin attempted to joke, voice teasing at the younger.
"It's not time for jokes, Seokjin hyung!" Hoseok whined, angrily and sadly.
"Everything will be fine, Hobi." Seokjin weakly smiled, biting his dried and cracked lips. "Namjoon won't kill me."
The other Duke huffed, amused and astonished. "He wouldn't kill you? A monster like him won't kill his target? Are you crazy?"
But Seokjin stayed silent.
"Why would you stay here, Hyung?" Hoseok hissed, gritting his teeth. "Give me a valid reason why you should stay here and let us leave you!"
Seokjin glanced at the heartbroken younger. But instead of feeling empathy, he just gave him a warm smile again. "Because If I go too, Namjoon will be lonely. He will have no one by his side."
______________________________________
Hoseok at the end, escaped the palace with no choice as Seokjin told them to leave, and knowing Namjoon, he was already ordering the guard to find both Dukes. Should he be guilty that he left Namjoon? He shouldn't be, right? Knowing how he betrayed him and everyone.
He held Jimin tightly before putting him down on the ground, letting him lean on the big rock. He looked around the area, realising that he has no idea where he is right now. Yes, he lived for a thousand years already, but when it comes to recognising places, he has always been bad at that. The only of who knows every inch of the Kingdom was Seokjin as he has always been the one doing most of the works- being the commissioner who travels a lot under Taehyung's commands.
Minute passed, Hoseok decided to grab some woods and lit it up to warm the two of them or else they would die from the coldness of the place. He blew his hands to warm it up before putting it on Jimin's cold face. At least it could warm up the younger despite himself being cold already.
The younger was his priority now.
The fire wasn't helping at all. The fire was too small for their liking and all he could do was bring Jimin near the fire then warm his hands to warm the younger. Hoseok was disheartened over the younger's condition already. His heart tore just seeing him.
"Why are you sick, Jimin?" Hoseok let his tears fall again while looking at the younger who was sweating despite being a vampire but he didn't notice that. He was too occupied at the thought of doubting that a vampire is sweating.
"What made you become so damaged?"
Hoseok wore off the jacket he was wearing and covered Jimin's entire body with it. "Are you that devastated over Taehyung's death?"
He closed his eyes, engulfing the cold air as he remembered Jin's words.
'Have you ever wondered why Taehyung lost to Namjoon despite being the strongest vampire?'
'It's because he cared.'
'If Taehyung's still alive, he would still want me to stay with Namjoon.'
Hoseok burst out to tears, wrapping his arms around his knees while while spending the night in this cold weather. There were so many questions and things that he wanted to ask. He was confused about everything– he felt so weak.
"I wonder what she's doing right now..." Hoseok trailed off, mind wandering to the person he met exactly five months ago after their talk.
"She must've survived..." Hoseok choked his saliva and coughed loudly. Where would he go in this state now?
There's only one person he could go to, and that is the person he once loved but he doesn't know where she is right now.
