Chapter 1 THE WEDDING NIGHT

"I don't want you crying around me," he blurted out, handing out a box of tissues to her. She carefully raised her head and took the tissue box from him. He noticed her stuff lying around the room as he glanced around.

"Pack up your things, you won't be staying in my room, i will call my personal assistant to come show you to your room" he added as he walked away.

"But it's our wedding night," Layla eventually muttered finding her words. "And so what?" Aidan barked, coming to a halt on his course.

"I think it's about time you realized that I married you to satisfy me, so you're only supposed to show up at my face when I need you," he said as he turned around to face her.

"Why did you even agree to get married to me in the first place?" she sobbed, pressing her knees to her breast.

"This happened because I did not have a choice, your parents and my parents wanted this to happen, who am I to go against the wish of my father?"

"You would have done anything to stop it"

"Trust me when I say I did everything in my power to prevent this from happening."

I know you were coerced into it as well, so why don't we live different lives while living together?"

"No way! The deed has been done; now we must face what has been thrown at us and live with each other as we should," Layla stated emphatically.

"The next time you argue with me or disagree with my decision, you will regret ever stepping foot in this house," he stated as he walked slowly back towards her. Layla tugged the duvet up to her chin, fearfully gripping it.

"Am I understood?" He roared

"Am I understood?" he asked again, this time leaning closer to her till his face was just an inch away from hers.

Feeling his minty breath on her skin, "Yes," she responded quietly.

A soft knock came on the door and Aidan straightened up, asking who was there.

"It's Aria," said a voice from behind the closed door. "Come in," he said.

"Oh, it appears that you both are busy; I can return later if that is okay," Aria replied as she stepped inside.

"No need for that, I was already on my way out," Aidan said.

Turning to look at Layla, "Pack your belongings, my P.A will be here in an hour to take you to your room," he said before walking out.

"Is everything okay?" Aria asked in a worried tone as she walked up to sit beside Layla on the bed.

"Everything is not okay, Aria, everything is not okay," she lamented bitterly, breaking down with fresh tears.

"You will be fine girl" Aria said as she took the box of tissues from her, she dragged a piece of tissue from it and wiped Layla's face with it.

"You need to stop crying, it's your wedding night for Christ's sake, you can't spend it in tears," Aria added.

"Am I not supposed to be spending it with my husband?"

"Yes, but at this point things are tense between both of you, I think you should give him some time and space, maybe he will come around," she replied.

"Someone that just clearly told me that he married me for the purpose of satisfying his sexual urge and that is the only time I would be around him, I doubt he would ever come around" Layla said, sniffing.

"Layla, everything is still overwhelming for him, getting married agaisnt his wish, when he isn't even prepared for"

"I am also in that shoe too Aria, this wasn't my wish either but I am trying to make things work out"

"Yes I know, but you have to be patient and give it more time"

"How long will I continue like this?" She inquired, her head resting on Aria's lap.

"Layla, it is just one night why are you sounding like it has been ages?" "What if it actually takes ages for him to accept me as his wife?"

"That is not possible, you are a sweet, lovely soul once he gets to see this side of you, he will submit to you" she said.

"Why is this so complicated?" Layla inquired, her voice completely choked with grief.

"Layla baby you have to calm down and cheer up, we have to do something fun tonight, what do you want us to do?"

"I don't feel like doing anything, I am exhausted from the drama of the day" she said.

"Don't tell me that, you have to shake yourself off this mood"

"Honestly Aria, I don't feel like doing anything other than resting my head"

"I am not taking that as an answer, I have the perfect place to take you, you need to get dressed," Aria insisted.

"No, I don't need to get dressed, I am not going anywhere" "Yes you are my darling"

"By the way it is late, I need to be here, what if Aiden needs me?"

"Oh Layla, stop this whole Aiden thing, I don't even think he is around" "He's probably in his study downstairs, working," Layla replied.

"That's great. I will not allow you to sit here and allow you cry your eyes out." "Aria, I am fine, I just need to rest my head and prepare myself for tomorrow"

"I thought he wants you to be a full time housewife so what is happening tomorrow?"

"Nothing special, I want to prepare myself for life as a married woman," Layla replied.

"I see, you have all the time in the world to prepare for that but tonight is going to be an exception, we are going out to have fun" she said with a grin.

"Don't you ever give up?" "Not in this kind of situation, my love," Layla replied. "Okay, okay, I heard you. I will go out with you on one condition"

"And what is that?"

"You must go to the kitchen and request that the chef prepare something tasty for me to eat. Layla explained, "I haven't eaten all day, and I can feel the worms in my stomach munching on my intestines."

"Your wish is my command, your majesty," Aria said as she stood up.

"You should freshen up before I get back, Layla," she said as she walked away.

"I will do just that."

Chapter 2 THE WEDDING NIGHT 2

"Layla, are you ready?" Aria inquired as she entered the room, holding a tray containing a plate of steak and a glass of red wine.

"What took you so long?" Layla inquired, a towel wrapped around her chest, as she sat next to a heap of clothes on the bed.

"I had to wait for the chef to cook up something real quick so I can bring it up to you" she said.

"Why aren't you dressed yet?" She inquired. "I can't find anything meaningful to wear," Layla admitted.

"You don't need to worry about that, that is why I am here for you."

"Eat your food while I bring out something sexy and wild for you to wear," Aria said, dropping the tray she was carrying on a stool by the bedside.

"Sexy but not wild, I am not an animal" Layla jokingly replied.

Aria laughed as she rummaged through the pile of clothes for an outfit for Layla. "I didn't catch any sight of your husband"

"I told you he might be in his study."

"No, he isn't in his study. I overheard your mother-in-law, Zoey Anderson, telling the chef to prepare something for Aidan to eat when he returns," Aria responded.

"He never mentioned anything about going out to me."

"Of course not, I don't expect him to. Have you spoken to Zoey?" Aria asked. "I haven't seen her since I got here," Layla replied.

"And she hasn't even come up to check on you."

"I guess she isn't also in support of the marriage," Layla replied, eating her food slowly.

"Look at this blue gown, do you like it?" Aria inquired excitedly, raising the dress up.

"No," Layla replied, raising her head to inspect the gown. "But why?"

"The color isn't attractive," Layla said, her disgusted look in her eyes.

"I love the color," Aria retorted, putting the dress aside, while Layla continued to eat.

"What about this one?" She asked again, this time showing Layla a red gown. "It's too short," Layla said.

"Come on Layla, we are going to a club, not a crusade" "I know, but I don't feel comfortable wearing that"

"Then I think you should put on your wedding gown, since that Is the only dress that looks comfortable to you"

"Don't say that, Aria," Layla said with a smile.

"What? You had better choose one of these dresses or I'll make you wear anything."

Layla exclaimed, "Aye aye captain," and they both burst out laughing.

"Look at this baby, I don't think any man will ever be able to resist you on the dress," Aria said, pointing to a black skimpy gown.

"It's still too short," Layla grumbled.

"Don't Tell me that, you are going to wear this" "Keep it aside, I will try it" "No, you're not trying it, you're wearing it," Aria stated emphatically. "Here we go again, always winning," Layla replied, rolling her eyes.

"Come on Layla, hurry up and finish your food" "Do you want me to choke?"

"Not at all, baby, the only thing you'll be choking on tonight is a cock," Aria laughed.

"Eww... Aria we are going out to have fun, you keep forgetting that I am now taken"

"You are partially taken, so you are as free as a bird in the air," Aria blushed. "You are..." A knock came on the door, cutting Layla short.

"Don't worry, I'll answer the door," Aria sharply said when she saw Layla trying to stand up.

"Who is that?" She inquired as she walked up to the door. "Zach," said the person who knocked.

"Zach?" She asked, her voiced tinted with curiosity as she opened the door. "Yes, I'm Aiden Hillary's personal assistant," he replied.

"Oh, I guess Aiden sent you here, come in," she said, giving way for him to come into the room.

"Hi Layla, I'm Zach, Aiden's personal assistant," he introduced himself. "He told me you were coming to take me to my room." Layla responded.

"Yes, sorry for the delay, we were trying to arrange the room to your taste" Zach replied.

"There is no issue," Layla stated.

"Right now we are busy, can you come back later?" Aria inquired. "Yes, I can," Zach said.

"As a matter of fact, we're leaving. So you can come back after we leave and park her things in her room," Aria continued.

"All right, I'll do it. When she returns, the maid assigned to her will show her to her room," came Zach.

"She won't be back till tomorrow" Aria announced giggling.

"I won't be back till tomorrow?" Layla inquired, surprised. "Yes my love"

"Is it an all night party?"

"No, you are going to be sleeping over at my place" "That wasn't part of the plan"

"It's now" Aria replied smiling before turning to face Zach, "You can go now" she said to him. Before leaving the room, he lowered his head slightly.

"Why am I sleeping over at your place?" Layla inquired as to when Zach had left.

"You need a clear space to prepare yourself for your marriage life" "I can do that here"

"No, this space is filled with negative energy." Aria insisted, "My house will be much better."

"Aria, I will be fine here and the earlier I start getting use to this place and the turn out of event, the better for me" she said.

"I know, you can start accepting your fate from tomorrow. For the time being, our focus should be on having fun," Aria said.

"Please hurry up and finish your meal so you can get dressed," she added.

"By the way, i saw the way you were staring at Zach, what do you have going on in that head of yours?" Layla inquired, returning to her food.

"He is cute, but not as cute as Aiden"

"Stop talking!" She blushed as she exclaimed.

"You are lucky, I will kill to have a husband as sexy as that" "Who doesn't give a fuck about you?" Layla inquired.

"As long as he does his job as a man and grinds me nonstop, I think I'll be fine," she said slowly, whining her waist.

"You are so not serious Aria" Layla replied laughing.

"Please Layla, hurry up, we need to leave in no time." Aria said as she sat back down on the bed.

Chapter 3 CLUB TIME! FUN TIME!

"You see that young man over there?" Aria shouted into Layla's ear over the music playing in the club, pointing in his direction.

"What about him?" She inquired, her gaze fixed on him. "He has been staring at you for God know how long"

"I am married, Aria," she said, showing her wedding band to her.

"That shouldn't stop you from enjoying yourself, my love," Aria responded. "Come on, stand up and dance with me," she said, pulling her to her feet. "I don't even know how to dance" Layla grumbled.

"Move your body to the rhythm as you feel the beat," Aria said slowly, showing her a dance move and Layla attempted to follow her.

"That's it, girl, you're doing great!" Aria exclaimed, cheering her on.

In no time, Layla started gulping down shots of tequila one after the other, swaying her hips, throwing her hands in the air, and screaming as she felt the rush of excitement.

The young man that had his eyes on Layls finally approached their table and whispered something into Aria's ear, she quickly left the scene, carrying a bottle of vodka with her.

"Hey, I'm Ace, Ace Sebastine and you are?" He inquired, whispering into Layla's ear.

"I'm Layla Anderson," she exclaimed excitedly.

"Oops! "I forgot I now have a new name," she chuckled, remembering she was supposed to start bearing her husband's name.

"You look good," Ace said.

"Is that all you came over here to tell me?" Layla said, taking a shot from the table and offering it to him, "Here, drink with me."

"No, I don't think you should keep drinking," he replied, taking the glass from her and placing it back on the table.

"But why?" She inquired, her lips twisted like a spoilt little child. "You are drunk already"

"No, I am not drunk," she defended. "You can ask Aria, she will tell you," she looked around.

"Aria where are you?" Screaming, she inquired.

He grabbed her and dragged her into a warm embrace as she began to attract unwanted attention.

"Why don't we have a seat, Lyla?" He spoke softly.

"That's fine, and have some more drink," she replied, laughing.

"I'm new around here, I just came into town this morning and I came here tonight to have some fun with my old buddies" he said as the two of them sat down.

"Wow! You're a freshman; if you don't mind, I can be your tour guide." "I don't need a tour guide; I'm here for work," he responded.

"Ohh I see, but you need to create some time for fun, they are a lot of problems in this town and you will need it to clear your head" she added.

"You talking like you are in that situation right now"

"I am in a worser and complicated situation right now" "You can talk to me, I may be of help who knows"

"No, no, no," she said, vigorously shaking her head, "I'm not spilling my secret to a stranger I met in a club," she laughed.

"But we can be friends"

"Sure we can, I will tell you my secret then"

Ace persuaded, "We are already friends, so you can talk to me."

She paused for a long moment before speaking again, twisting the tip of her hair. "I got married today" she said.

"Wow, congratulation"

"No don't say that, it is a sorrowful thing to me"

"Let me guess, you got married agaisnt your wish?" "How did you know that?" She inquired calmly.

"That is the only thing that would make you say that"

"My husband doesn't want the marriage either" she went on to say. "Okay, this is more complicated than I thought"

"I am ready to make things work out, but he doesn't want to" "What makes you think so?"

"His attitude and the way he talks about the whole marriage thing" Layla paused and rolled her eyes around the club for a bit, "He said we can both live our separate lives even though we are staying together" she went on to say, sighing loudly.

"I think you should give him time to figure out what he truly wants" he said. "why is everyone saying that?"

"Because that is the only reasonable solution here," Ace replied, shrugging as she reached for a shot from the table. Ace drew her hand back and gently carrassed it.

"My best friend dragged me out here to have some fun because she said it would cheer me up," Layla laughed.

"She is right"

"Now that I have let you into my secret club, tell me more about yourself" she went on to say.

"Nothing much about myself, except from the fact that I am business minded" Ace responded.

"Are you married?" "No"

"Do you have a girlfriend?" "No"

"Have you ever been in a relationship?" "Yes, twice"

"Tell me about it," she said with a smile on her face. "Not much," he responded.

"I see you're not the talking type," Layla said angrily, "but if you don't mind, I'd like to continue dancing."

"She cheated on me," he said, attempting to regain her attention. "That's bad," she said.

"with my P.A."

"That's hilarious," she exclaimed, laughing hard like a psychopath.

"I know it is, and I didn't even suspect anything," he said, joining her in the laughter.

"Do you want to know the sweetest part?" He inquired when their laughter had died down, with a wide smile spread across his face.

"Yes, tell me everything"

"She asked for my forgiveness and I forgave her and accepted her back" "You did that?"

"Yes, and I went on to bang her best friend"

"No way! You didn't do that," Layla exclaimed, laughing even harder. "Yes i did, I couldn't let it slip away just like that" said Ace.

"That would hurt her more" "Yes I know"

"You are no gentleman" "I never claimed to be"

"What about your second relationship?" Layla inquired.

"Nothing serious happened to that," he responded, and Layla looked at him as if to say he should start talking.

"She left the town I was in to another for work and we grew apart, I was tired of the distance and she was also tired so we mutually ended it"

"That's so sweet," she responded, blushing. Before he could stop her, she grabbed a shot from the table and gulped it down.

"I want to go home, Ace," she said, her eyes sleepy. "I can't find Aria, and my eyes are already blurry," she explained slowly.
