Linh is a friendly and sociable girl, trusted by her homeroom teacher to take on the role of class president for class 10C5. Although she is strong, the many challenges and upheavals during her time as class president gradually wore her down. As she started to struggle, the boy sitting in front of her began to notice and help her in every aspect. She grew fond of him, and the two shared sweet moments of affection. However, they soon faced major challenges in their lives once again...

Chapter 1 Back to school

That day, the sky was a bit overcast with a light drizzle. Linh's mother drove her to school on the motorbike, as today was Linh's first day of starting tenth grade. She had gone through an incredibly intense entrance exam. Upon arriving at school, Linh said goodbye to her mother and went to find the class list with her name on it. As she stepped through the school gate, she was amazed to see the schoolyard packed with people even though it was only six in the morning.

Perhaps this was the bustling scene of the back-to-school season that, no matter how many years passed, its beauty would always remain.

"Hey Linh, over here! What are you doing over there? Your name's right here!" a petite girl, quick on her feet, ran over to Linh, calling out as she approached. Linh turned around and saw Nhi, her childhood friend since kindergarten.

"Slow down! You're going to trip if you keep running like that," Linh said.

Nhi reached Linh and exclaimed, "Oh my gosh, girl! We're in the same class again this year! Haha!"

Linh laughed, delighted that she would be in the same class with her childhood friend once more. Both girls headed to their classroom, 10C5, while chatting excitedly about the memorable summer after that grueling entrance exam.

The two girls, who used to run through the village lanes, had now grown into graceful young ladies with delicate faces, wearing the traditional Vietnamese áo dài, looking so pure and elegant. When they entered the classroom, they quickly found ideal seats for themselves. Both were outgoing, so wherever they sat, they easily made friends with new classmates. Linh and Nhi chose the third row in the first group, facing the teacher's desk. In front of them sat two boys who seemed rather quiet.

The homeroom teacher entered the classroom and greeted them, "Hello, class! My name is Ms. Mai, and I will be your homeroom teacher for the entire school year..."

Chapter 2 Current class president

Miss Mai looked very beautiful with fair skin and captivating eyes. She glanced at the class and said, "Our class will elect a class president and two vice presidents, including one for labor and one for academics." The class murmured, with some students quickly assessing who should be elected as class president. After a while, a confident girl stood up and nominated herself for the position. She had a beautiful face, a gentle voice, and sparkling eyes.

"Hello, everyone and Miss Mai, my name is Thu Minh. Today, I would like to nominate myself as class president to lead everyone forward!" The class buzzed with discussions about this confident and bold girl. Miss Mai interrupted the lively atmosphere, "Alright, everyone, let's settle down. Is there anyone else who would like to run for class president?"

Suddenly, a voice from beside Linh spoke up, "Miss, I want to nominate Linh for class president!" Miss Mai, surprised, looked over at Linh and Nhi. "Who is Linh?" Linh, startled and not yet recovered from the shock, was nudged by Nhi to respond.

"I am Linh, Miss," she said hesitantly. Miss Mai glanced at her list of students. "Ah, Linh, I see. You're very bright, and your exam scores were very high this year. I think you would be a great candidate!" Linh hesitated, looking at both Miss Mai and Nhi, while the class's attention turned towards her. Whispers spread around, "I know Linh; she's very smart. I used to study at the same school as her. She's not only smart but also really pretty."

"Oh, really? I think she is pretty too, but Thu Minh is also beautiful. Maybe we should just consider academic performance."

After a moment of thought, Linh nodded and accepted the nomination. Miss Mai turned to the board, wrote the names "Thu Minh" and "Linh" on it, and said, "Everyone, please vote by raising your hands. Each of you can only vote for one candidate." The class responded in unison, "Yes, Miss!" Miss Mai continued, "Now, let's vote for Thu Minh first. Linh, can you help me count the votes?"

"Yes, Miss... Thu Minh has 18 votes!" Linh reported.

Miss Mai concluded, "The result is clear: our class has 40 students, and Thu Minh only received 18 votes, so the position of class president goes to Linh!" The class applauded to welcome their new class president. Miss Mai continued, "Thu Minh will be the vice president for academics. Both of you, please work together to help me manage the class."

"Yes, Miss," both Linh and Minh replied.

Miss Mai added, "Now, we still have one more position to fill: the vice president for labor. Does anyone want to run for this position?"

Chapter 3 Linh's Journey of Growth and Support

The whole class began murmuring, glancing around to see if anyone was willing to stand up and nominate themselves for the position of vice class monitor in charge of labor. The atmosphere became silent for a moment as no one stood up. Some students looked down at their books, while a few whispered to each other.

Ms. Mai patiently waited and then gently asked, "Does no one want to volunteer? This is a great opportunity for you to practice and help the class."

Suddenly, a hand raised from the back of the classroom. The whole class turned their heads, curious. It was Hung, a tall boy who often participated in extracurricular activities. Hung smiled slightly and said, "Teacher, I'd like to nominate myself for the role of vice class monitor in charge of labor. I think I can help the class with daily tasks and activities."

Ms. Mai smiled in approval, "Very good, Hung. You've always been enthusiastic about school activities, and I trust you'll do well in this role."

The class buzzed with agreement. Some nodded, while others smiled. Ms. Mai then said, "So, we now have all three class officers. Linh is the class monitor, Thu Minh is the academic vice monitor, and Hung will take on the role of vice monitor for labor. The three of you should work well together to help me manage the class throughout the school year."

Linh, Thu Minh, and Hung all replied in unison, "Yes, teacher."

Ms. Mai looked at the class with satisfaction and concluded, "Wonderful. We've had a smooth election today. Now, let's start our lesson for today. Take out your books, and we'll begin a new chapter."

Linh stood up, glancing around the class and thinking for a moment before starting to divide the class into groups. She remembered previous group work sessions and decided to pair the students based on their abilities and familiarity with one another.

"Group 1 will be Nhi, Hung, and Quang," Linh began, trying to keep her voice confident. "Group 2 will be Thu Minh, Lan, and Hoa." She continued to divide the groups, ensuring a balanced mix of hardworking students and those who needed more support.

When all the groups were assigned, Ms. Mai smiled approvingly. "Good job, Linh. Now, you can all start discussing the end-of-chapter exercises. Linh, if there are any issues, just let me know."

"Yes, teacher," Linh responded.

The class quickly broke into small groups and began their discussions. Linh sat back at her desk, trying to keep an eye on each group. She noticed that Thu Minh was confidently leading her group, showing no signs of dissatisfaction with her role as academic vice monitor. This made Linh feel less tense. Even though Thu Minh seemed ambitious, it was clear she was cooperative.

Meanwhile, Hung and Nhi were actively discussing with Quang about how to solve the exercises. Hung, as usual, was enthusiastic and engaging, while Nhi laughed and joked, keeping the atmosphere in the group light. Linh smiled, feeling that she had made a good decision in the groupings.

As Linh observed, Ms. Mai approached and quietly said, "You're doing very well, Linh. You have leadership potential; you just need a bit more confidence."

Linh blushed slightly but nodded to thank Ms. Mai. Her teacher's encouragement made Linh feel warm inside and more confident in her new role.

After that, Ms. Mai returned to the front of the class and said, "Alright, everyone, time's up for discussions. Now, I'll have a representative from each group present the results of their discussion."

Thu Minh's group was the first to present. Minh stood up, as confident as when she had nominated herself for class monitor. She explained the exercises clearly and concisely, and the class listened attentively. After she finished, Ms. Mai nodded approvingly and invited the next group.

When it was Hung's group's turn, he stood up and spoke naturally, adding in a few jokes here and there, making the whole class laugh. Linh felt at ease seeing everyone get along, and the competitive tension from earlier had dissipated. At the end of the lesson, Ms. Mai concluded, "You all worked very well today. I hope you'll keep this spirit up throughout the school year."

As the class prepared to leave, Linh felt a small sense of happiness rising within her. Despite her initial worries, she had overcome her own barriers and felt ready to take on the role of class monitor. With help from Ms. Mai and her friends, especially Nhi and Hung, Linh believed she would learn and grow throughout the school year.

At the end of the lesson, the class hurriedly packed their books, getting ready to leave. Linh stood up, adjusted her jacket, and walked to the door with Nhi. As they walked, Nhi gently patted Linh on the shoulder and laughed, "You did great! I told you, there was nothing to worry about."

Linh smiled, replying, "Yeah, thanks to you for nominating me. Otherwise, I'd probably still be sitting there, too afraid to step up."

Nhi laughed heartily, "I thought you'd make a great class monitor. You're smart and responsible. You'll get used to it soon. If you need anything, just ask me or Hung."

Linh nodded, feeling more at ease. As they walked toward the school gate, Hung ran up, still wearing his bright smile. "Hey, class monitor, does the vice monitor in charge of labor get any rewards?" he joked, making both Nhi and Linh laugh.

"Already asking for rewards on your first day?" Linh teased back, feeling more comfortable with the idea of being called "class monitor."

The three of them laughed together as they left the school. Before saying goodbye, Hung turned to Linh and said seriously, "Actually, I'm really glad you're the class monitor. You're smart and considerate of everyone. I think you'll help our class become more united."

Linh felt a little embarrassed but touched by Hung's sincerity. "Thank you. I'll do my best."

After parting ways with Hung, Linh and Nhi walked home together. Along the way, Linh thought about her friend's words. Despite the challenges ahead, with support from Nhi, Hung, and the whole class, Linh felt more confident. She promised herself that she would strive to be a good class monitor, not just in academics but also in bringing everyone together.

That afternoon, when Linh got home, she told her parents everything. Her father, always calm, smiled proudly, "You did great. Being class monitor is a big responsibility, but I believe you can do it."

Her mother, more emotional, said, "Oh my, my daughter is a class monitor now! You must take care of your health and study well." Linh looked at her parents, feeling warm inside. Even though this new role brought pressure, she knew she wasn't alone. With her family, friends, and teacher by her side, Linh felt ready to face whatever came next.

And so, a new chapter in Linh's school life began, filled with both promises and challenges. That night, after finishing her homework, Linh sat at her desk, gazing out the window. The streetlights cast a yellow glow down the small alley in front of her house, creating a peaceful atmosphere. She picked up a new notebook and began to write down her thoughts about her first day as class monitor.

"My first day as class monitor, I felt a bit nervous, but my friends and teacher encouraged me a lot. I need to try harder so I won't disappoint everyone..."

At this point, Linh paused, wondering if she was truly capable of handling this responsibility. She sighed, but just then, her phone rang. It was a message from Nhi: "Tomorrow, we're planning a group study session at the library. Do you want to join?"

Linh smiled and quickly replied, "Sure, see you tomorrow!"

The next morning, Linh arrived at the school library, where Nhi, Hung, and a few other friends were already waiting. As soon as she walked in, Hung waved and said, "The class monitor is here, let's get started!" The group laughed, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

The study session went smoothly. Everyone focused on discussing and helping each other. Linh felt she not only learned more but also gained a better understanding of teamwork, something she knew would be important in her new role.

Midway through the session, Hung suggested a break. The group went out to the library's small courtyard, where there were plants and benches. Linh sat down, listening to her friends chat about study plans and upcoming exams.

Suddenly, Thu Minh approached with a gentle smile. "Linh," she began, her voice still confident but with a hint of sincerity, "I just wanted to say you've done really well. I was a bit disappointed at first when I didn't get to be class monitor, but now I see that you truly deserve it."

Linh was surprised by Thu Minh's words. She smiled and replied, "Thank you, Minh. I'm also looking forward to working well together for the benefit of the class."

Thu Minh nodded, and the two of them rejoined the group conversation. From that moment, Linh felt a great sense of relief. There was no more rivalry, just unity and mutual support among classmates.

The study group ended on a cheerful note. On her way home, Linh realized that being a class monitor wasn't just about managing the class but also about fostering unity and helping each other. She felt more confident in herself, no longer as anxious as before.

In the following days, Linh, Thu Minh, After the event, Linh received many compliments from her classmates and teachers. Ms. Mai said, "Linh, you did very well. The cultural festival's success was not only due to careful preparation but also your leadership and enthusiasm." Linh felt happy and fulfilled. She knew she had grown a lot through these challenges and successes. Every step in her role as class president was a valuable lesson, helping her not only develop personal skills but also understand the importance of unity and cooperation.

As the school year drew to a close, Linh began thinking about the future. She felt excited about the next plans, both in her studies and in life. With what she had learned in her role as class president, Linh felt ready to face new challenges, not only academically but also in life.

She and her classmates organized a farewell party to celebrate the beautiful memories of the school year. During the party, Linh thanked her friends for their support and help throughout the year. She also felt grateful to have wonderful friends, dedicated teachers, and a family that always stood by her.

Ms. Mai stood up and gave a speech, "This school year has ended, but the lessons and memories will always stay with us. I believe each of you can achieve great things in the future."

Linh smiled, looking around her classroom. She knew that although this school year had ended, the memories and experiences would stay with her for life. She felt ready for the next challenges and looked forward to the future with confidence and determination. After the farewell party, Linh walked out of the classroom filled with emotions. A light breeze blew through her hair, carrying the scent of the approaching summer. She walked down the familiar path leading home, her heart filled with memories of a memorable school year. Everything had changed for Linh, from a shy girl to someone more confident, not only in her role as class president but also in how she faced life.

At home, Linh sat at her desk, opening the notebook where she had written about her journey as class president. She flipped through the pages, recalling the tough moments and the joy when the class overcame challenges together. The last page of the notebook was still blank, and Linh decided to write a few final lines.

"Today marks the end of a memorable school year. I've learned so much from being class president, from managing time, leading activities, to listening and understanding everyone. I feel lucky to have such wonderful friends and Ms. Mai always supporting me. This is just the beginning, and I will continue to strive to improve myself. The future holds many things, and I am ready."

After writing, Linh closed the notebook and breathed a sigh of relief. She felt a sense of peace, as if she had completed an important chapter in her life. Summer was approaching, bringing new plans, but Linh knew that no matter what happened, she would always remember this special time.

The summer days passed peacefully, with Linh spending time with family and friends, but in her mind, she always had a big plan: how to continue developing herself when she entered the next school year. She not only wanted to be an excellent student but also to contribute more to her class, her school, and the community around her.

One day, while reading in her garden, Linh's phone rang. It was Nhi. "Linh, have you heard? Our school just opened registration for the summer volunteer program. They're organizing activities in the highlands. Do you want to join?"

Linh paused, thinking for a moment. She had never participated in volunteer activities far from home, but the idea intrigued her. This would be a great opportunity to experience new things and help those less fortunate.

"That's great, I'll join. Thank you for telling me, Nhi!" Linh replied, suddenly feeling excited about this new journey.

Now, Linh's summer became more exciting than ever. She began preparing for the volunteer program, gathering friends to join and planning what they would do. Linh realized that every experience from the past year had prepared her to face bigger challenges. And with the support of good friends like Nhi and Hung, she believed this volunteer trip would be a meaningful experience, helping her grow even more.

As summer approached, Linh and her friends began preparing for the volunteer program. They attended meetings and training sessions to understand their tasks and get ready for the trip. The group would be working in a remote mountainous area, where living conditions were still tough, but their spirits were high.

Before the departure, Linh and her group gathered to check the necessary items. They prepared everything from food, and medicine, to tools like shovels, rakes, and water pumps. Linh felt excited seeing everyone so enthusiastic and ready for the trip.

"It feels like a real adventure!" Hung said, laughing. "I can't wait to see what we'll achieve."

"Yes, and I'm also looking forward to helping the people there," Nhi added, smiling with hope.

The day of departure finally arrived. Linh and her friends boarded the bus, traveling along winding and steep roads to reach the highlands. They carried not only luggage but also their spirit and enthusiasm for the work ahead.

When they arrived, they were warmly welcomed by the local community. The people there were very hospitable and appreciated the volunteers' help. Linh felt moved when she saw the smiles of the children, realizing that although their efforts seemed small, they had a big impact on others.

In the following days, Linh's volunteer group participated in various activities. They helped build houses for families in need, improved roads, and organized small classes for children. Each evening, as night fell, the group would sit together, sharing stories, experiences, and the challenges of the day.

One evening, after a long day of hard work, Linh and Nhi sat by the campfire. Linh looked up at the starry sky, feeling a peace she had never experienced before. Nhi sat beside her, looking at Linh with an understanding smile.

"How do you feel about this trip?" Nhi asked.

Linh thought for a moment before answering, "I feel very fulfilled. Helping others and seeing them happy makes me realize that my efforts are truly valuable. Although the work is hard, this feeling is wonderful."

Nhi nodded in agreement. "I feel the same. This is an experience I will never forget. It helps us see the real values in life."

A few days later, when the volunteer program ended, Linh and her friends felt both tired and happy. They said goodbye to the local community and returned to the city, carrying not only unforgettable memories but also valuable lessons.

Back at school, Linh felt like a new person. She had not only matured in management and leadership but also gained a deeper understanding of the meaning of helping others and making a difference. She realized that volunteering was not just a task but a way to connect with the community and make the world a better place.

The next school year began, and Linh returned to school with enthusiasm and energy. She continued to apply the skills she had learned as class president and from the volunteer program, while also continuing to study and participate in extracurricular activities.

The experiences from the previous school year and the summer volunteer trip had helped Linh become more confident in facing new challenges. She was not just the class president but also a leader with a deep understanding of unity and teamwork.

Linh knew that the road ahead was still long and full of challenges, but with what she had been through, she felt ready to continue learning, growing, and making a positive impact in the community and her own life. She smiled, ready for the new challenges and opportunities ahead.
