Chapter 1 The Ritual

FIONA'S POV

Thousand of centuries ago, when Beluda was without form and void, two powerful creatures were created. The witches and the werewolves. The werewolves are the guardians of the land, the territorial protectors. And the witches are their anchor, the very important ingredient of every pack. These witches are regarded as portals, bridges between our world and the one beyond. Most importantly, they are vessels meant for Selene our goddess to grace the earth with her visitation. But now, the order has been broken. A great number of these witches have willingly given up themselves as channels for dark ancient spirits, offering themselves to be used as weapons of darkness.

They are the witches of the red storm. The Daracas!

Recently, they have multiplied, spreading everywhere like a mass of thick, dark cloud, wrecking havoc wherever they appeared. Their last stop was at the Bemba Region. And the things they did there was scary. Now, word has spread that they are in Liminu, magically infiltrating diverse packs and destroying them. Even the strongest ones.

Bastiana, our pack witch, saw this impending doom and solicited the help of Selene who agreed to help us. She was going to empower our pack against any attacks of the Daracas by pouring her heavenly light powers into two persons in our pack who will become the wielders of the powers of the seven realms, the Chubos.

And those persons are none other than my parents, Alpha Darius and Luna Celeste, the reigning leaders of the Snow Light Pack.

I watched with bubbling joy as my parents entered the Temple Of Light with Bastiana and her twin witch daughters who were moving silently behind them, carrying black earthen pots that were emanating an otherworldly smoke.

Finally! The night we've all been waiting for had come. Me, mother, father, Bastiana, and all the members of the Snow Light Pack. We had long anticipated it, cherished it even when it had not come. All because of our unified vision of a new and peaceful era for our pack, a paradise, a safe haven for us all.

And now, it is here! Happening before our very eyes. Dad and mum are receiving Selene's powers tonight! They will get imbued with Selene's powers and they will become more stronger and powerful than ever. They will save our pack from the witches of the red storm.

As they sat on the two golden thrones on the dais, Bastiana's booming voice resounded.

"All hail the king and queen of the light!" She shouted.

"May they live forever!" We all chorused.

"Rise, Alpha Darius and Luna Celeste. Come forward to the statue of light." Bastiana called my parents forward.

They stood from their thrones and locked hands together, walking majestically to Selene's statue that was erected at the center of the temple where Bastiana and her daughters stood.

"Tonight is a wonderful night that our goddess has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it." She started, talking to the innumerable pack members that were gathered inside.

"As you all know, Alpha Darius and Luna Celeste are the great leaders of this pack, the Snow Light Pack. In every way, they have been wonderful. Have treated everyone of us in this pack with love and respect. Have fought for us and kept us safe. But the dark tides has arisen against every packs in our world. The Daracas has expanded. They have already reached Liminu, destroying packs and killing innocent souls. But we won't wait for them to enter Totela before we prepare. The time for preparation is now! Tonight we have come to do what is right. We have assembled here tonight to watch our leaders as they receive their powers from Selene, our goddess of light." She said and the whole crowd bursted into cheers.

Alexa, my best friend and the only surviving daughter of my father's beta, who was standing beside me, slipped her left palm into mine and squeezed it tenderly.

"I'm so excited!" She squealed.

"Me too, Alexa." An unexplainable warmth surged in my body as I watched my dad and mum.

"I'm so happy for you, princess. Your parents will become the greatest of all. The Chubos. We won't have to live in fear of the Daracas ever again."

"Yeah, we won't!" I concurred happily.

With each passing second, the joy in my heart grew bigger and bigger, and all I could feel was nothing but an unshackling and overwhelming burst of happiness. One that was threatening to consume me.

"Hey!" Alexa gently nudged me. "You are shaking." She noted observantly.

Our eyes flew to my hands and we giggled together. "The excitement, Alexa... It's too much. I'm so happy and it's overwhelming."

"I understand, dearie. Alpha Darius and Luna Celeste are two wonderful souls. I've not seen any one with great leading capacities like them. They are the best gift to us."

"Awwnnn... Thank you for your kind words, Alexa. I'm so touched." I uttered, my body shivering happily.

"Don't start your awwnnn yet. You can thank me later after..." She said, mischief dancing in her jasmine eyes as she purposely lingered.

"Your suspense will be the death of me someday." I joked amid giggling. "Spill, Alexa or I'll give you the best tickling of your life." I playfully threatened, pushing my finger to her ribs.

"Okay, okay, okay. I'll talk. I'll talk! I'll talk!" She quivered as I tickled her.

"Then talk." I laughed.

After taking a long, deep breath, she looked at me, her lovely orbs lingering on my face for minutes. "I want to sleep over at your place tonight, in your room. You know, it's been days since I last visited."

"Ohh, Alexa. Is that what you are saying with low breath? Of course, you will. Besides, I've missed your juicy gists. I'll plead with my father to allow you spend this night with me in my room. That's if your father will agree firs-"

"Forget about my father, princess. You know I'm now his only child, he will do anything for me." She voiced out hurriedly, her expectations flying in the air.

"You know I can never say no to you." I smiled. "Speaking of your dad, I've not seen him anywhere near here. Is he not around?"

"He is, princess. He's just scouting the pack's territory to avoid any form of breaching from any unfortunate rogue that will dare try to attack our pack and cause commotion here."

"Ohh, I see. Doing business as usual." I gave her an understanding nod.

"Yeah."

"But I still prefer him to come watch, you know..." I sulked.

Alexa's spread her arm around my shoulder and gave me a placating smile. "Don't worry. He's going to come. You know, he is very good at showing up at events when things are getting spicy. After all, he's your father's beta. He has to."

"Okay." I smiled back.

"So... What's it going to be? It's settled then. I'm coming over to your place tonight, right?" She asked, her eyes lighting up in anticipation.

"Yeah." I grinned.

"Thank you so much, princess." She threw herself on me and embraced me.

"You're welcome, Alexa." I hugged her tightly. "So now, it's either we keep hugging each other and miss the spicy display, or we disentangle now and enjoy the show. Which would you prefer?"

"The latter of course." She chuckled.

"Had a feeling you'd say that." I giggled.

"D*mn right I will." She laughed.

We broke our embrace and held our hands, watching the show as it slowly unraveled.

Bastiana moved slowly round Selene's statue, brushing her fingers on it. "They will lead us through this war. They will sustain us as they've always been doing. They'll protect us all!!!" Bastiana shouted.

"Yeeh!!!" Everyone shouted.

She stopped her movements and faced dad and mom. "Place your hands on the statue of the mother of the moon and kneel." She instructed.

Dad and mom obliged and she proceeded with her next instruction. "Close your eyes and open your core to the blessings of Selene."

As they did, Bastiana raised her hands above her head, slowly reciting her spells.

"Capascalimo entantre lebusima rokopadiya avodish. Capascalimo entantre lebusima rokopadiya avodish. Capascalimo entantre lebusima rokopadiya avodish..." She kept muttering and seconds later, the statue of the moon goddess started attaining a shimmering silver hue.

"Oh my!" Alexa gasped and touched my arm. "Look at that! The statue... It's-""

"Glowing." I completed the sentence for her, my eyes bulging in sheer wonderment, watching the light from the statue brighten slowly as Bastiana kept chanting.

"...Capascalimo entantre lebusinima rokopaya avodish. Capascalimo entantre lebusinima rokopaya avodish..."

A sudden shaking began and all the lighted bulbs in the temple went off.

"Whooah!" Everyone muttered in shock as great darkness enveloped the temple.

I released a tiny gasp as I watched Bastiana. "Dear goddess!" Her hair... It was standing. I mean every d*mn strands! Standing up to the high ceiling and turning white as her chants grew.

The impact of the spells overwhelmed dad and mom and they started shaking tremulously.

As the chants progressed, a mighty wind began, howling in every corner of our pack, even inside the Temple Of Light, wildly blowing against all of us. Shortly after, a blasting thunder started to rumble, showcasing its own talents of ferocity.

The light from the statue kept lifting up slowly, moving towards my kneeling parents.

"It's happening, Alexa. It's happening." I whispered excitedly.

She clung to me and whispered. "Yeah, it is."

"I bless you in the name of our goddess and in the name of our ancestors." She started, dishing out the words.

"RECEIVE YOUR BLESS-"

Suddenly, her shouts died down the moment a roar exploded.

"STOPPP!! STOP THE RITUAL!!" Someone suddenly shouted as the door bursted wide and everyone turned, only to find Beta Ryan standing at the back.

"Thank goddess!" I breathed out in relief and turned to Alexa. "Alexa!! You're right! Your dad, he is back." I said joyfully.

"Yeah, he is back." She said happily.

A sifted thought emerged from the deepest part of my mind and rushed into my brain.

Then my brows furrowed in confusion. "What is he holding? And why is he trying to stop the ritual?" I said to myself, wondering what was happening.

Something is not quite adding up well.

"Alexa, do you know what's in the bag that your dad is hol-" I turned to say to Alexa and my eyes widened in shock.

She was no longer beside me! She had disappeared!

"Alexa! Alexa!" I started to whisper, turning to look at the faces of the people around me to see if they were Alexa.

"Please Nadia, do you know where Alexa went to?" I asked the blonde omega girl behind me.

"No, princess Fiona. I don't." She said meekly and I turned forward with disappointment.

Where has she suddenly gone to? Where did she disappear to?

"Don't be so worked up. Maybe your best friend went to urinate." Raya, my wolf suggested, her calm voice sounding in my head.

"But she could have at least told me. Not disappear like some witch." I mindlinked Raya back amid sulking.

I turned around and watched Beta Ryan race to the statue where Bastiana and my parents were. And what I heard next from him, smothered the happiness in my heart.

"DON'T, BASTIANA!!! Don't proceed with the ritual!! They are our enemies!"

Chapter 2 The Set-up

FIONA'S POV

Fear bit my chest hard, releasing its asphyxiating venom into my system. My parents? Enemies? How? I don't understand!! What is happening?

Bastiana stopped her chants and the powers rushed back into the statue. Then the lights from the bulbs returned and everywhere was lighted up again.

"How dare you speak of our leaders in such degrading manner?" She defended my parents. "How dare you disrupt this important ritual, Ryan?"

"Darius and Celeste are not who they portray themselves to be. They are evil!" Beta Ryan shouted.

"What are you talking about, Ryan?" She asked impatiently.

"You heard me right, Bastiana. They are our enemies!"

"Look, Ryan. I don't know what has come over you."

"Nothing has come over me, Bastiana! Alpha Darius is not who he claims to be. He is our enemy. And I've come to you all, bearing proof." He held up the bag in his hand, raising it for all to see.

"What stupid proof!!" She fired. "Get out of my way and let me finish this ritual. The Daracas are still out there. We don't have much time!"

Dad stood up from the ground, his eyes blazing furiously. "What is the meaning of this nonsense, Ryan? Why these foul, treacherous words? Have you suddenly gone mad?" He hollered.

"Your acts of purity may work on others, but it won't work on me, Darius." Beta Ryan uttered, his eyes shining with hate.

"You think you can fool me?" He continued. "You obviously think I'll allow you to take the power of the seven realms and destroy our people? You think I don't know the evil deeds that you're planning?" He shouted.

My heart began to thud fiercely. What is he talking about?

"What in goddess's name are you talking about, Ryan? Have you no single respect for the throne? Have you no respect for your leader? Why speak such abominable atrocities against me?" Dad shouted, fury burning in his eyes.

Mum stood from the ground too and moved to dad's side, confusion pooling in her blue eyes.

"Respect? You say respect? You dare speak of respect when all you've done is violate the rules and the sacred power of the throne of light!" Beta Ryan shouted and instantly, loud murmurings broke out in the crowd.

"What is he talking about, Darius? What violation does he speak of?" Bastiana turned to face dad, casting a look of suspicion on him.

"I don't know what he is talking about, Bastiana. Believe me, I don't!" He said with a look of confusion.

"You don't want to talk? You would rather lie to the pack, to backstab the same people you swore to lead."

"Shut the f*ck up, Ryan!" Dad exploded angrily.

Beta Ryan began to pace around, his boots clinking as he walked with calculated steps. "Slowly revealing your dark side, aren't you? I like the fact that you're beginning to show the pack what you really are. A monster!" Beta Ryan voiced out maliciously.

Dad's restraints broke and he started to breathe hard. Oh my goodness! He was slowly losing it. "I. Said. Shut. The. F*ck. Up!!" He shouted and sped to Beta Ryan, knocking him to the ground.

As Beta Ryan tumbled on the ground, the brown bag in his hand fell off and a bloodstained head rolled out into the open.

"Oh my f*ck*ng goodness!!" Someone screamed behind me. And just like an incentive, murmurings and shocked gasps started to swirl around me.

"Goodness!!" I covered my mouth in fear.

It was the head of Tita, the last child of his dead mate, Alexa's sister.

"Oh, dear Selene..." Mum gasped. "What is happening! Ryan... Your daughter... Why... What... How...?" She stuttered.

"Oh don't play that trick of naivety on me, you conniving wench." He shunned her as he stood from the ground, his eyes filled with disdain.

"Don't you dare talk to my mate like that or I'll-" Dad snarled, his rage swiftly building up.

"Or you'll what? Kill me like you killed my daughter?"

The revelation sparked a rioting fire in the hearts of everyone and they began to voice their fears, muttering their words at the same time.

"SILENCE EVERYONE!!" Dad roared and everyone went silent.

He walked away from mom and neared Ryan. "This is some misunderstanding, Ryan. I will never kill your daughter, I will never hurt one of my own. So whatever this is, stop it!"

"LIAR!!" Alexa came out from nowhere and pointed at dad. "You killed my sister because she found out your big secret."

"Alexa." I muttered, watching my best friend accuse my father.

"No, no, no. This is not true. This is not true." My heartbeat slowed and pain raked my body.

What is she doing? Why is she trying to sabotage dad's name all of a sudden. No, this cannot be Alexa.

"Stop this madness, child." Dad said to her.

"She will, Darius. She will stop once she has uncovered your secrets to everyone here." Beta Ryan defended his daughter.

Alexa turned away from her dad, my parents, from Bastiana and her daughters, moving to the crowd.

"Tita was my sister. The only sibling I have in this whole world." She broke down in tears and I just stared, watching, wondering, fearing the next words that would come out of her mouth.

"Three weeks ago, during the festival of Lightharsi, Tita ran into our room and I woke up. She was frightened, afraid as if she was being chased by a ghost. I can still recall the fright on her face as though it was today." She said and everyone watched her solemnly with rapt attention.

The weather had returned to normal and the wind and lightning had ceased. But what reigned was an otherworldly cold. It was like the spirits of our ancestors were hovering in our midst. I could feel it, the crippling fear, creeping underneath my white skin. Something bad was going to happen.

"Who put you to this, child? Tell me, child. Who forced you to lie against me?" Dad shouted, worry and restlessness drawn on his face like a map.

He began to move towards Alexa and Bastiana stopped him with her words. "Allow her speak, Alpha Darius." She said, her face taut and serious.

He looked at her with disbelief. "You honestly don't think she's saying the truth, do you?"

Her eyes deepened as she shot dad a scrutinizing look. "Your actions are making it hard for me not to."

"What the hell! This is a conspiracy, Bastiana!! A blatant accusation! A plot concocted against me to disparage my good name and reduce me to a condescending status! Can't you see what he's doing? He is trying to spark up flames of hatred in your hearts! He's trying to turn you all against me!" Dad shouted, his patience and composure swiftly evaporating.

"Dad..." Tears crawled out of my eyes as I watched him defend himself.

I saw it, the truth burning evidently in his eyes. I saw it. But sadly, the pack members did not see it. They were suddenly blinded by doubt and suspicion.

"Please, goddess... I don't understand what's happening. Please intervene." I prayed in my heart, my body doing a shivering dance.

"Then stay put and allow us hear what the child has to say." Bastiana retaliated with a shout.

"He won't!" Beta Ryan chipped in. "He won't because he's scared of what you guys might do if you find out about the skeletons in his cupboard. Our so-called Alpha here wants his secrets to remain buried forever."

"I'm warning you, Ryan. Keep shut!!"

"Darius..." Mum called his name softly, her face scrunched with sadness.

He faced her, his eyes filled with great sadness. "It's not true, Celeste. I did no such thing. You know I wouldn't do such."

"I know. But allow the girl speak. Please... For the sake of peace." She sobbed.

Clenching his teeth, dad listened to her and nodded.

Mum's soft cries broke me and my sad emotions bursted out. "MUM!!!" I began to cry, pushing my way to the front of the crowd.

"Stay where you are, Fiona!" Bastiana commanded and I stilled.

But I never stopped shouting.

"Mum!! Dad!!" I cried out.

"Fiona, please don't cry. Don't cry, my child." Mum tried to comfort me even as her own tears cascaded down her cheeks.

"I can't, mum! I can't!" I kept wailing, my chest heaving up and falling down as anguish tore through me.

"Fiona please listen to your mum." Dad said, his calm voice trying to assuage my fears but it did little justice to it.

Bastiana sent a quick nod to Alexa, gesturing her to continue talking. And she did.

"I asked Tita why she was so scared. I pressed and pressed her but she wouldn't tell me what was going on with her. She continued like that for days, keeping to herself and staying in her room. Not until the day I found out that she was pregnant. I threatened to tell our father and she begged me not to tell him, stating that she would tell me everything I needed to hear. And she did spill. Alpha Darius here, r*p*d my sister and murdered her. He beheaded her and kept her head in a box in his safe room, making us all think that my sister was devoured by an unknown animal in the woods." She shouted, her voice laced with grief and pain.

Then she turned back and faced dad, stretching her finger at him. "He is a monster! An enemy of the light!!"

As the crowd went into a frenzy, their murmurs spreading in the air like a wind, Alexa switched her gaze to me, sending me a small grin. And in that moment, the scales of deception fell off my eyes and I saw her for what she truly is.

A she-devil.

She was faking it. Everything... This was all a setup.

Chapter 3 Chaos

FIONA'S POV

At the instant revelation, everyone started to murmur again.

"Impossible!" Mum whispered.

"No, Alexa!! You're lying. Tell them you're lying!" I bursted out.

Dad is innocent. He never committed such.

I faced the crowd. "It's a lie!! This is a setup. My dad is innocent. He is innocent!! He did not r*p* or murder Tita. Alexa and her father are lying. They are trying to frame my father! Please listen to me!" I shouted, desperately trying to make all of them reason with me.

But I failed.

My eyes found Alexa's. "ALEXA!!" I called her, but she refused to look at me.

"YOU MANIPULATIVE WENCH!!" I yelled at her, wrath stinging my insides as she kept dodging my gaze.

"I trusted you, Alexa!! I regarded you as my sister, as my blood. Now you're stabbing me, trying to ruin my family. Where did I ever go wrong? What did my family ever do to you that made you lie against us this way?"

She finally faced me, forcing tears that weren't forthcoming, fooling the crowd with her false display, trying to garner their empathy. "Your father broke my father and i. He killed my sister."

Her pretense infuriated me and my blood began to boil. "You are such a pathetic liar!! Lying doesn't look good on you, so cut the stupid crap!!"

She continued with her acts and everyone just watched, their eyes filled with sympathy.

"Come out of this spell that she has placed on y'all! She's lying!! She and her father are lying against my father! My dad has done no wrong! They are the real monsters!" I shouted at the pack, pointing at Alexa and her father.

"All I've ever done for you is be happy for you, Fiona. But this is how you see me? But at the time of my lowest, a time when you should at least offer me a little sympathy, you choose to call my father and I names. Is it good?" She continued, deliberately lowering her voice to make it look like she was really grieving.

"I swear I'll kill you! I'll kill you, you hear me? Look at me, Alexa! Look at me! I'll kill you!!"

"SILENCE EVERYONE!" Bastiana shouted and silence reigned again.

But a palpable tension remained.

"And you, princess," She turned to me. "One more word from you again and I'll make you dumb. I won't warn you again."

I panted, my insatiable anger rising in my chest and scattering my reasoning like a hurricane. But when mother mouthed a 'no' to me, the fire began to extinguish slowly.

My best friend? I couldn't believe that Alexa would ever do this to me. So her relationship with me was a farce? So she didn't really like me? She was just clinging to me when in fact she was a frenemy.

"Go ahead." Bastiana said to Alexa, giving her the go-ahead to continue voicing out the trash she was spewing.

"What! This is preposterous, Bastiana!!" Dad uttered angrily.

He turned to Alexa, his eyes filled with rage. "Stop talking! Your alpha commands you!!"

"She can't, Darius!" Bastiana shouted. "A pack is not a pack if its members cannot voice out their opinions. You know the laws. You created them yourself!" Bastiana said.

"Do not speak of the laws like I don't know of them! I'm not a child, Bastiana!"

"You know what Darius, I'm beginning to think you have something to hide."

Dad raised his finger at her. "I'll advise you tread with caution, Bastiana. I'm still the king of this pack." He berated her, an evident rage smeared on his face.

But she kept on angering him the more.

"You will intercept justice? You will go against the very thing you agreed to uphold since you became the pack leader? How patriotic!" She sneered.

"I have not forgotten my promise. Fighting injustice is a principle of mine that I haven't given up on for one day. But one thing I can never withstand is allegation. I won't stand and watch my pack accuse me."

"He is communicating with the witches of the Wikipix witches!!" Alexa blurted out, taking everyone but her father by surprise.

Immediately, the bag of tension broke and its acidic waters rained on all the members of Snow Light Pack, washing their faces with distrust and rage.

She thrust her finger in dad's direction. "He is plotting with a certain Suroshika to sell some young female wolves of this pack to them. He wants to give us away!"

The revelation elicited hateful curses from the crowd and they began to echo vile words against dad, their eyes that were once filled with love for him an hour ago, now shining with pure hatred.

Beta Ryan came forward, seizing opportunity of the chaos to voice his treacherous agenda. "As I speak to you now, the Wikipix witches are on their way to come take the girls he promised them. They are coming to take our innocent girls away!" He shouted.

"Dear, Selene." Bastiana gasped. "Suroshika?" She asked, fear lurking in her eyes. She was scared.

She hardly showcases her fear, so whoever this Suroshika may be, I guess she's a force to be reckoned with.

"The name rings a bell?" Beta Ryan asked and she gently nodded.

"Suroshika is the sister of Firandel." She sighed.

"And Firandel is the-" Beta Ryan started to stutter.

"The queen mother of the Daracas." Her shoulders slumped.

Beta Ryan faced the crowd again. "See what I'm saying? A storm is coming. We need to be prepared. Whether it's against the Wikipix witches or the Daracas. We need to unify and conquer our enemies. But in order to do that, we need to-"

"Install a new king." Bastiana exhaled.

"Yes, Bastiana. We need a new pack king. A new Chubo! One who is fit to wield the power of the seven realms. Since Darius and Celeste will no longer be part of us, someone else should take the responsibility. Someone strong like them. Someone more worthy to sit on the throne of light. Someone who would not compromise his love for his pack and throw them in jeopardy. Someone like me. His beta!! So who's in?" He said and everyone hollered their agreeing responses.

"You traitor!!" Dad rushed towards Beta Ryan but priestess Bastiana stepped in his way, her eyes simmering with anger.

"What is this stench of betrayal that I'm perceiving? Huh Darius? After everything! You dare betray your own people? You dare deceive us?"

"I will no longer try to prove my innocence to a bunch of blinded and manipulated individuals who choose to reason and side with a traitor, my enemy. Ryan is the traitor not me!!" He angrily voiced.

"Then you leave me no choice. TAKE HIM!!" Bastiana's fiery order rang out.

Instantly, her two daughters with two elders of the pack came forward, standing in front of father with angry faces.

"Stop this madness, Bastiana! I don't want to do this. Tell your daughters to back off." He warned her, moving backwards as Nikita and Soraya, Bastiana's two witch daughters, advanced towards him, their eyes sparkling white.

Suddenly, Elder Barry and Elder Mito sped to dad's back. "You are going nowhere, Darius!" They snarled.

Suddenly, Nikita and Soraya moved their mouths hurriedly, chanting their spells. And before dad could put up a fight, an agonizing scream tore out from his throat.

"DAD!!" I screamed.

"DARIUS!!" Mum's cry sounded after mine.

In an instant, his bones started to break. "Aaargh..." He shouted agonizingly as he crumpled to the ground.

Nikita and Soraya neared him and switched to a more deadlier chant, causing blood to escape from his eyes, ears, nostrils, and mouth.

"DAD! DAD!! DAD!!" I kept shouting those words tirelessly as fear slashed me.

My father was dying in front of me!!

But when I thought his bones were going to break out from his body, he broke through their spells.

"I. Am. Darius Wiktor. And... I AM THE ALPHA KING!!" He roared and swiftly dashed to Nikita and Soraya, and then moved to Elder Barry and Elder Mito, biting off their fleshes and ripping their parts from their body.

In seconds, they were all dead, lying decimated on the ground, their blood pooling out on the ground like a sacrificial token.

"NOOOO!!" Bastiana released a loud, pained scream.

And suddenly, a wild wind suddenly started to blow.

She rushed to the carnage and picked her daughters bloodstained heads, placing a sorrowful kiss on each of them. "No, no, no. Nikita. Soraya!!" She cried and cried for minutes.

Few minutes later, her crying ceased and she started chanting, summoning a big circle of lightning that totally enclosed her.

This was no ordinary power!! The death of her daughters had tipped off her rage!

With fear in his eyes, father speedily turned his now-blazing red eyes at mum and I and let out a loud, echoing growl.

"RUN!!"
