FATE BOUNDED US

All Aria wanted was to be mated, it wasn't supposed to be that hard. She didn't get a mate in her eighteenth birthday and she was hoping she could get one on the Blood Moon.

The Blood Moon was just this evening and Aria couldn't think of anything else. She hopes she get mated to a nice and good man. Someone who would take care of her and maybe she'll come to love him.

She tied her blonde hair into a ponytail and put on a simple gown. She didn't want to get too excited but she couldn't help it. After not being mated at age eighteen she had been hoping that the moon goddess wouldn't skip her on this one. Aria got out of her room and sighed when she saw her brother Liam siting casually at the table looking out the window, his fingers drumming casually on the panes.

It had been a hard time growing up with her brother and he had always be autistic and also very hot and handsome. She once even had a crush on him once. She was the only one he spoke to and cared about, not even their parents.

"Hey" she said and kissed his cheek. He smiled at her and wiped off where she kissed him.

"Hey!" She protested, laughing and he grinned. His eyes roamed her body and she blushed feeling self conscious.

"Don't you like it, it's not what I am wearing but I want to go to the store today to get the dress I need" she said and he nodded.

"I'll accompany you" he said and Aria silently willed her stomach to cooperate. He didn't speak much but when he did, she always has this butterfly feelings in her stomach. It was so wrong.

"Really? Are you sure.........."

"Dammit I said I'll accompany you" he said and stood to his full height, dwarfing her.

"You don't need to pull the height stuff, I heard you" she said and Liam grinned. He nodded and walked her to the car. The rest of the ride was in silence with Aria making small talks and Liam keeping quiet as usual just staring at the window and drumming his fingers on the dashboard.

He would have driven, he loves to, but somehow Aria had convinced him to let her drive. When they got to the store it was stacked and brimming with clothes. Aria didn't know what to choose; she just giggled excitedly like a little girl while Liam tagged along.

He pointed at a blue dress inlaid with gold. He grabbed Aria and spun her to face the clothes.

"That will look good on you. Aria" he said and Aria stared at the clothes then at his blue eyes.

Did he just call her by her name?

Very rare.

"You think so?" she asked and he nodded. He brushed a strand of hair from her face.

"I know so" he answered and gently prodded her towards the dress. They picked it and got to the counter. The lady at the counter smiled at Liam and ignored Aria.

"Hello handsome. What do you like to get?" She said, flashing him a flirty smile. Liam's eyes darkened and he frowned.

"You must have forgotten this isn't a store for men. I am only here because of my sister so talk to her not me" he said and the lady's mouth dropped then she masked her surprise with a smile.

"Of course, gorgeous," she said and smiled at Aria.

"Can I see the dress you picked?" She said and Aria put it on the counter. She typed something on her keyboard and smiled at Liam.

"It's a grand" she said and Liam ignored her. Aria smiled to herself, if this lady thought she could get to Liam by flirting then she was going to be disappointed.

They made the purchase and walked away. The lady had asked for Liam's number but he ignored her without even the barest hint of a smile.

By the time they got home, it was sunset and knowing that the Bloodmoon came out early it would just be a few hours to prepare. Aria rushed into her room excited, she couldn't wait to see who her mate was everyday she prayed that the moon goddess granted her a mate. She didn't want to be the laughing stock again. Aria went to shower and let her hair fall to her waist.

She unwrapped the dress but was having trouble putting it on.

"Can I help with that" came Liam's voice and she whirled around to see him standing in the doorway. He looked so handsome in his dark suit and she was sure the ladies would rush to get him. They always did.

"I.........I....." she stammered. It felt so forbidden, here she was barely dressed in just her underwear and he was just staring not even bothering to look away. She covered her breast with her arms.

Liam chuckled as he walked closer and helped her slip into the dress.

"Stop being childish Aria. I have seen it before" he said and Aria smiled.

"It wasn't what it is now" she countered. He spun her around and helped her zip up the dress.

"It's beautiful" he said and Aria gasped. She stared into those emotionless blue eyes.

"Don't say that Liam. It's wrong" she said, she was more of saying this to herself. Hearing him call her breasts beautiful made her blush and she liked when he complimented her.

"There! Done" he said and Aria nodded. Her eyes wandered to his lips and she looked away as an old fantasy came back to her head.

"How do I look?" she said instead. Liam shrugged.

"You look good enough to turn heads." He said and fished around in his pocket.

He brought out a chain with a wolf head pendant.

"I bought this for you" he said and Aria smiled warmly, her chest filling with warmth.

"Oh Liam. You didn't have to.........."

"Can you shut up" he said seriously and Aria smiled and nodded. He pushed her hair to the side and Aria sighed as his warm fingers touched her skin. He clasped the necklace and stepped back.

"Goodluck finding your mate sister" He said and walked out of the room.

The place was packed. Bloodmoon was one of her biggest events on the calendar and even members of other packs attended because their pack was well known and popular.

Liam tagged behind her like a loyal bodyguard and Aria knew just why. Liam didn't trust anyone and he hated when Aria was being bullied. He had once beat a guy for grabbing her butt and nearly killed another because he called her a pussy. She didn't want him to get into another fight but sometimes trouble always came knocking.

Speaking of trouble. Aria sighed as she spotted Cassie and her girls gang heading towards them. Cassie already had a mate and they were set to marry next year. Cassie was the daughter of the beta and she always made sure to rub the title in Aria's face just because she and Liam's parents were ordinary pack members, now late.

"Hello handsome" Cassie said immediately she reached them. Cassie had always wanted to know how it felt like to have sex with Liam and Aria had a feeling that Liam was the only male in the pack who Cassie hadn't slept with. Even now that she had a mate Aria didn't like the way Cassie looked at Liam. It made her.........jealous.

"Got any plans today" she asked and Liam ignored her. Aria took his hand.

"Let's get out of here Liam" she said, but Cassie blocked her path.

"Who said you can leave loser?" She sneered and Aria closed her eyes: it was only a matter of time before Liam went Tom Cruise mode.

"Get out of her way Cassie" Liam said. Immediately Aria said the same words in her head. Cassie opened her mouth to speak then thought better of it. Liam's last fight was top news and since then no one wanted to mess with him. Sometimes Aria wondered how strong he was, he was the lowest according to ranks but he was still deadly in a fight.

Cassie nodded to her lackeys and disappeared into the crowd. She turned to Liam and thanked him with her eyes. Suddenly she felt her wolf stir. Like it was waking and she grinned.

The moon wasn't up yet but it was a sign. A sign that she was gonna get a mate tonight. Her wolf stirring on the night of a Bloodmoon meant only one thing; her mate was nearby and her wolf could sense it.

Liam looked uncomfortable, like his mate stirred too. He didn't have shifting easy for him when he was a child and he hated going wolf mode.

Liam grabbed a drink and downed it in one gulp.

"You look happy" he noted and Aria grinned, he smiled at him.

"I felt my wolf stir and that means........"

"She sensed you mate around" he didn't sound pleased. His mood ruined hers and she sighed.

"You don't have to force yourself to get a mate if you don't want to Liam" she said and his blue eyes shone, so fiercely that it scared her.

"Oh I want to, and I know who I want" he said. I stared at him, not knowing what to say. The way he was looking at her made her mute like she lost the nerve to talk.

"I don't know Liam. You have never told me this. Would you like to dance instead?"'she asked and he shook his head.

"You know I hate that," he said.

"Please" she begged. "For me" she added and he sighed. She knew he would do anything for her.

Liam's hands found her waist and she placed a hand on his thumping chest. The rhythm soothed her and helped calm her. It always did, when they were younger this had almost become a habit. She would place a hand on his chest and listen to his heartbeat.

He just stared at her like she was the only thing that existed. Aria knew that was somewhat true. Liam didn't talk to anyone but her even when their parents were alive. She had been his best friend, she had been there for him. Through his autism, she didn't see him as a dork but as someone with potential.

They swayed to the slow music and Aria just stared at him, even forgetting that she was supposed to be looking for who her mate was. How did she not see how handsome he was, the way his dark hair fell to his temples, the sapphire of his eyes.

Stop thinking that Aria. He's your brother for Lycan's sake.

Liam's hands wandered until they were on her butt. But she didn't object, even when they tightened around it.

The music stopped and her head cleared. She stepped away abruptly from his arms.

"I have to get something" she said and he didn't answer. He walked away himself. Aria sighed, she didn't mean to offend him but she couldn't stand to stay in his arms any longer. She felt like she was under a spell being in those arms. He was her brother and it was wrong, a taboo, what was she thinking.

Her wolf stirred again and Aria grinned, her mood improving.

"Atta girl" her wolf said. "I don't see your mate but I can smell him"

Aria smiled but she was panicking. Around her people were claiming their mates. But still no one was coming to her and she was just following her wolf directions.

Where was Liam? She missed his comforting presence, she wanted to apologize even though she didn't need to.

"Dammit" Aria said to herself as she spotted Cassie and ducked. Why was the moon goddess picking her to be shamed? Everyone was getting their mates but she couldn't find hers.

No no no.

She slammed into someone and strong hands steadied her before she could fall on her butt. She looked up and sighed in relief when she saw Liam.

"Liam, I can find my........" she touched his arm.

"MATE!" Her wolf said and her eyes widened. Liam's blue eyes were unreadable.

"Mate," he said out loud.

This couldn't be happening. Was this a joke? How could the moon goddess pair her up with her brother? Was that even right?

She couldn't look at him, they just sat on a bench outside. Liam as usual didn't bother saying a word, the wind blew his hair and she even stole a glance once or twice.

"Is this even right? It doesn't make sense" she said finally and Liam shrugged.

"says who?" He countered and Aria turned to stare at him. Was he trying to make this hard for her? What did he mean by that?

"It's Taboo. You know that" she said and Liam frowned.

"So we know better than the moon goddess now?" He asked skeptically and Aria sighed.

"So you are okay with it?" She asked and Liam turned to stare at her. He turned back to stare at the sky. He didn't respond for a while.

"It's not the worst thing that has happened to me. I am grateful that the moon goddess gave me a beautiful woman for a mate" he said. Aria shook her head.

"Even if this woman is your sister?" She asked and he growled. An animalistic one. It sounded like his wolf was growling with him.

"I don't care," he snapped and stood.

"See you around Aria" he said and stormed away.

"Liam WAIT!" She called but he didn't respond. Aria sighed. The truth was she wasn't against it not totally at least but she didn't want people to talk she couldn't even bear it.

She got to where the car was, and was surprised to find it there. Didn't he take the car along, where did he go? She hated herself for making him angry. It had always been her weakness. She couldn't bear to see him angry. Just as he would do anything for her the thing he didn't know was that she would do anything for him too.

She waited an hour making sure to avoid the main party of the ceremony. When she didn't see Liam she decided to drive home. She got home expecting to see Liam but he wasn't at home. Something must be wrong somewhere. It was the first time in her life she was hearing the moon goddess pairing someone with her blood brother.

Aria sighed and took off the gown, she dialed his number but it was going to voicemail.

Liam I am sorry. I don't care about the sibling thing too.

She tries reaching out through the mental psych link and her heart leaped when she felt his wolf stir. But she felt the connection cut off like he had shut her out. Aria was close to tears. Did he leave her? Did he run away? She was the only thing he had and vice versa. She was so stupid. He loved her and she was too blind to see it. Not just sibling bond but he loved her as a woman. She could see that now, she could understand him now.

She heard the door open and she rushed out of the room and ran downstairs. Aria pulled him into a hug.

"Where have you been? I was worried" she said and he stared down at her.

"No need to be. I was avoiding driving home with you" he said and Aria sighed.

"I am sorry Liam. I didn't know that you....uhhh.....had ummm..."

"I am in love with you. But 'it's wrong' it's a 'Taboo' " he said bitterly and Aria touched his face. He tensed up but didn't object.

"Can you forgive me?" She asked and Liam sighed.

"I already did but if you are not okay with us I can........" Aria shut him up by rising herself on her toes and kissing him. He stayed like that, shocked even when she pulled away

"Aria I......." She placed a hand on his lips.

"Shhhh. Don't stop me. I have wanted to do this too. I.....have always wanted you. I once thought it was wrong, but now I don't care anymore" she said. She let her bra fall and tugged down her panties herself. Liam watched silently, his chest heaving.

"Your shirt" she urged and Liam's blue eyes turned a darker shade as need filled them.

"Are you sure?" He asked and Aria reached into his pants then tugged it down. Liam lowered his head and gently bit her neck. Aria let out a small moan as his teeth came in contact with her skin.
