Chapter 1 1

CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO 2014

~JESSICA~

I wiped away tears before I raised my hand to knock on the door; the pain in my chest was unbearable, and I knew a hug from him would ease it away.

"I will graduate, maybe some other times," I encouraged myself before I raised my arm to knock again, but this time stopped midair as the door flew open. I almost threw myself on the person when I realized it was not my fiance but a woman, a very beautiful woman.

I wondered what she was doing here and where my fiance was, so I asked; I thought it might be his friend or something.

"I'm his wife, and who are you, oh Jessica, right?" She eyed me up and down; I didn't understand what was happening; I mean, I was already hurting, so I wasn't planning to add to this.

"Maybe it's the wrong address."

"It's not the wrong address, Jessica. I know you, and you're here for Jade, right? Well, he's my husband now, so I need you to leave."

"Excuse me?" I asked, shocked, and she shone the diamond ring on my face.

"You need to clear your vision to see the ring," she said, sounding kind.

My eyes were blurry due to tears, so I wiped away my tears, and that's when I realized she wasn't lying to me. I knew the ring well because it was the same ring I wore just a few days ago.

"How...how long have you been married?" I finally gathered the courage to ask, although my voice sounded broken.

"Just five days; do you need anything else? As you can see, we are still on our honeymoon." She said, not carrying off what I had just told her. I scanned her and realized that she was wearing his shirt, the same shirt I'd worn here at his apartment.

"Can I talk to him? Please," I hated the way I sounded...desperate.

"No, he's busy. I already told you he is my husband and showed you my wedding ring. What more do you want?" She asked; it was not her fault; she was just played as me.

"Do...do you know that is the same ring I wore a week ago when we got engaged?" I asked, hoping it could mean something to her.

"Yes, but I have it now, so it doesn't mean anything. Do you have something important to say apart from your whining?" She asked; I understood her irritation, but I was hurting.

This must be a prank.

"Yes, I want to talk to Jade, and I'm not leaving here until I do," I said, meaning it although it didn't come out confident, she realized I was not going to leave as I stood firm by the door while she blocked the entrance.

"Alright, fine, but don't make it long, honey; someone is here for you!" She sweetly called out to him; she even dared to call him a pet name.

Then the love of my life appeared; he was cooking, as I could tell from the apron he had on. He didn't wear much, just an apron and jeans. Even at this moment, my knees felt weak seeing his six-pack. He didn't seem surprised or shocked to see me; he kissed her cheeks before greeting me.

"Jessie, you're here; how are you?"

"Can I talk to you privately, please?"

"Private? I see you've met my wife; anything you want to say, you can say it right in front of her," he said.

"I insist."

"Alright, honey, it's fine. I am going to watch our pot before it burns; don't be long," his wife said as she kissed his lips right in front of me while he smacked her ass-making that same face but it suddenly changed when he turned to me.

"You have five minutes," he said, irritation evident in his tone.

"Five... minutes, really?" I couldn't believe this; he was my fiancé. "You owe me more than five minutes, Jade; I'm your fiancé."

"Ex-fiancé, I'm married now," he sounded serious. I couldn't believe my ears. Was this some kind of joke?

"Listen, if...if you're playing a prank on me, you better stop it because it's not funny!" I raised my voice-this prank was going far.

"Hey, hey, lower your voice. Do you want the neighbors to hear? Listen, I know I gave you false hopes, but what were you thinking? That I would marry a prostitute seriously."

"I'm not a prostitute; I'm a stripper," I corrected.

"Still the same thing; my family will never accept you as their in-law."

"But you never cared; you said that yourself."

I remembered the time we met and how I told him I was a stripper, and he said he didn't care.

That he loved me.

"A man will do anything to get into your pants; I can't believe you fell for it. I thought you were smarter than that...you're a lawyer for damn sake." He laughed.

"Three years?" I didn't want to accept this was happening.

"Yes, it can even go on for twenty years. Listen, Jess, I'm not saying it's the end of our relationship."

"Then what are you saying?" I sounded desperate.

"My time will be limited, that's all; otherwise, I'll see you at times."

"You promised to marry-"

"As I said, we men do anything to get into your pants, and besides, I can never marry everybody's property. Jess, as you can see, I'm busy with my husband's duties. I'll call you okay; you wait for me to call first," he shamelessly said and shut the door in my face.

I was about to bang on the door and cause a scene, but I saw the neighbors come out of their apartments. People loved drama and Jade being from a respectful family I knew it could go viral on social media. We have been together for three years-three good years-so I still cared for him.

So seeing there was nothing to do, I gave up and walked away.

He never cared that I was a stripper; he always told me he understood my situation. I needed to pay for my college fees and rent, having just lost my parents in an accident and having no family to fully rely on. Things were extremely difficult.

I only had my aunt.

She couldn't manage to pay for my college fees, rent, and food. She had her children to care for, too. So when Loren introduced me to the job, I went for it with no second thoughts; I had the skills and a body for it. I worked with the hope of quitting one day and living a peaceful life-at a point I never imagined to have that life but when Jade came into my life, I started dreaming of it but now.

God, today was supposed to be my graduation day. I had received a letter from the college telling me my graduation was canceled because someone reported to them that I was a stripper. They didn't condone such a lifestyle, especially for law students. I had come to my fiancé's apartment for support, only to be met with his wife.

He was my hope; he had promised to get me a job as soon as I graduated, as his family was influential in the industry. I never met his family as he kept waiting for the right time, which was supposed to be this weekend, as I had just quit my job to follow his instructions, and now I had lost my job and fiancé; life was playing a joke on me.

I stopped a cab to drive me back to my apartment, as I needed to be alone and think straight.

'He didn't initially break up with me; he just got married.' I thought as I blinked away tears, which the driver noticed as he asked: "Are you alright?" He sounded concerned.

"Yes, I... I'm fine; just keep driving, please." I responded, I didn't want anyone to pity me.

After a few minutes, the car came to a halt and after paying the driver, who shamelessly asked for my number, I headed inside my small apartment.

When I was inside, I took a bottle of whisky and gulped it down my throat as I was better off drunk than having eye bags-it wasn't good for a stripper because, like it or not, I still had to go and beg for my job back.

Even if I tried to look for other jobs, I knew I couldn't be hired, as now I was blacklisted as a stripper. I'm sure I'll be in newspapers and everywhere. I just prayed my aunt wouldn't see it.

I grabbed my phone, and dialed my boss's number. I knew I would get my job back, as I was the most liked stripper, and I brought him so much money. He didn't even want me to quit when I did yesterday; he offered to double my salary, but being stupidly in-love, I refused.

"Jess, how are you? Have you thought of my proposal?" He asked immediately as he picked up. He offered that I be the head just so I wouldn't quit.

"Yes, and I accept it; just don't forget to raise my salary," I said. I thought I was going to beg for my job. Lucky me.

"Good, trust me, you'll make more than lawyers," he sounded happy, "Can you come to work after your graduation, or will your boyfriend not allow you?" He asked-I explained that part of the reason I was quitting was because of my fiancé.

"I will be there shortly," I said before I ended the call.

I was not going to sit here and cry-maybe later, but not now; I had to secure my job first.

---

"He can't take his eyes off you," Loren whispered in my ear as she pointed at a man who was seated at the VIP table with his friends, but his eyes were on me.

He took a swig of his drink and licked his lips in a teasing manner. From far away, I could smell his money; there was no doubt he was a millionaire or maybe a billionaire.

"And guess what?"

"What?" I sounded uninterested.

"He has just moved into town, so that means he's single," she said. Loren was my best friend. I already told her what happened with Jade as soon as I got here. I was still waiting for my boss, so we discuss the deal as he had left for a family emergency.

"Can I go say hi for you?" She insisted; she wanted me to be happy, but I was not ready. My heart has just been broken. I needed to heal-and besides Jade hadn't really broken up with me. Loren, seeing I was hesitant added, "A one-night stand could help you heal faster."

She knew I never slept with just any man, even when I was a stripper. I don't even know why she thought I could ever do that.

"Loren?"

"I'm just saying, and besides, it will be payback because, guess what?"

"Agh...what?"

"He's Jade's uncle," she lowered her voice.

"What?"

"Yes."

"You're kidding."

"No, I'm not."

I knew she wasn't lying as she was the investigator here; besides strippers, we also had prostitutes, so she was responsible for knowing all the clients here. Well, now I was interested; it would make me feel better to fuck his uncle. Maybe I will send him a picture.

"Watch me," I said as I made my way to his table. He was with two other men who were occupied by ladies.

"Hey, stalker?" I teased as I sat on the seat just across from him. He was intrigued by my confidence; I could tell as he placed his glass on the table and turned to me.

"My friend saw you staring at me; were you or was she just trying to get me to talk to you?" I playfully asked, and he licked his thin lips again before responding.

"Maybe," he sipped on his glass, his voice hinting that he was enjoying my tease.

"So you're not sure? Do you need a little push? Maybe to be sure?" I seductively teased as I pushed my chest out, making my boobs look even bigger.

Chapter 2 2

CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO 2014

~JESSICA~

My eyelids were heavy as I struggled to open my eyes. Damn mornings and the sun rays weren't making it even better for me-I was not an early bird.

I was in a prone position, my stomach flat on the mattress, as my hands were trying to get a hold of the end of the mattress, but was I kidding? This mattress seemed bigger than my own. I shot my eyes open at the realization that this was not my room.

That's when the last night's memories settled in. I came to this man's house. I quickly rushed to the glass window and was shocked to see that I was at the top of the building.

"Fuck, how did I get here?...Jessie think!" I started face-slapping myself out of frustration as I tried to remember.

"I don't remember anything." I panicked and as my ayee darted to the documents on the table a voice suddenly played in my head: 'I do.'

My voice; it was the only thing that came to memory. I walked to the table and when I read the bold letters I gasped. I was married to Mr. Clinton; the document even had my signature, proving it was authentic.

"What?!" I screamed in disbelief and threw the papers away. And that's when my attention turned to my finger. I even had a ring on.

"Fuck, I fucked up." My attention turned to my naked body. "This is what I get for trusting Loren, fuck." I cursed and quickly searched for my clothes, but they were nowhere near.

I walked into a room, which I assumed was the wardrobe. I put on oversized pants and a shirt. Walking back to the bedroom, I spotted my purse and grabbed it in haste. Good thing everything was in.

I almost opened the door when I realized I still had the ring. I removed it and threw it on the bed before I made my way out of the room in haste.

It seemed to be a one-bedroom apartment, as just as I walked out of the room, it was a big area with sofas and a big-screen TV.

"Good morning, Mrs. Clinton." A middle-aged woman came from the kitchen. By her dressing, I figured she was a maid, "Mr. Clinton rushed to a meeting; he will be back soon. What would you like for breakfast?"

"Nothing, thank you; I'll be leaving now."

"No. I mean, you could stay a little longer," she said.

"I have work; please excuse me." I declined her offer and left.

I walked down the stairs, lost, but managed.

I tried my best not to remember what had happened last night-clearly, he took advantage of me. But to the extent of marriage, it might be a prank.

I was still standing outside the apartments, waiting for a ride, when I heard someone shout my name.

"Flora!" I shouted as I ran to hug her; she was my classmate-a law student.

"Oh my God, it's so good to see you. I heard what happened. Are you okay?" She asked when we pulled from each other.

"Yeah, I'm fine. How was the graduation? So you are a lawyer now?" I congratulated her.

"Everything was amazing, just like we planned. I wish you were there. Oh, I'm happy I'm over it. Now I just need to get into a good law firm. Oh, I heard you need to go and do last year again for you to graduate." She didn't sound sorry like her face played.

"Yeah, we'll see how life goes. Do you stay in one of these apartments?" I tried to change the topic.

"Yes, well, not yet. I came to look for an apartment. I'll be moving here as soon as I get that job," she confidently said.

"I'm sure you will."

"What are you doing here?" She asked a question I didn't know how to answer; luckily, my cab arrived.

"Story for another time; my cab is here, and Flora, I'm sure you'll get that job; you're an amazing lawyer." I hugged her before I walked to the car and slid in, "Perfect timing," I said to the cab driver as I greeted him.

--

I had arrived back at my old apartment.

"Maggie, hey!" I waved at my neighbors as I walked to my door. I put in the key, and surprisingly, it wasn't locked, 'did I perhaps forget to lock the door?'

Well, I'm sure I locked it; only one person had a key to my apartment, or did someone break in? Then, as I walked in with so much fear, I found him seated on my sofa-Jade.

"Where the fuck did you sleep?" He asked as soon as I got in. He sounded angry.

"Excuse me?"

"I came here so early, but you weren't here. Did you start hooking up with men like your friend?"

"Wait what? You were here so early to do what? And I'll not have you talk about my friend in that manner." I was confused, as this was the same man who I found out yesterday was married, "And how dare you stand here and ask such a stupid question after yesterday, really?"

"Listen, I messed up." I scratched the back of his head.

"This is not messing up, Jade; this is the end of it, and to think I could agree to be your side chick makes you delusional because I'm not going to be your side chick. Now drop my key and leave." My blood was boiling, seeing him reminded me of yesterday, I even married that stranger all because of him.

"Babe."

"No, leave Jade." I stood firm in my decision.

"I'm sorry... I can explain."

"Explain?" I swallowed my saliva. "How do you explain this exactly? You're married to another woman, Jade. At least you could have the decency to break up with me before getting married, but what did your stupid ass do? You just went ahead and walked down the aisle with her, saying, 'I do' knowing damn well I was still your fiancé." My chest was uncontrollably moving up and down as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Babe, calm down," he said as he came toward me.

"Stop! I don't want you...close." I was shivering in anger; my last word was barely a whisper.

"You need to let me explain. I was forced-I was forced to marry her."

"That's just an excuse?" It came out as a question.

"No, it's not; you know I love you; I can't just throw away four years just like that."

"Then why did you agree to it?" I wiped away my tears as I calmed down.

"Because she's dying."

"W-what?"

"Lucy, the girl I married is dying. She has stomach cancer. She wanted someone to spend her last days with," he explained, "Did you think I'd just throw away four years just like that?" He was now inches from me as he didn't stop moving from before,he reached for my hand then spoke, "I love you, Jessie; we have a life together." He said, looking straight into my eyes, "I do; I will not let anything stand in our way. She has a few months to live; after that, we can get married and start our lives," he said, and I believed him.

How can I just wake up to find him suddenly married to another woman? I knew something was not adding up. He wiped away my tears then said, "You just need to trust me; for now we can secretly see each other, but as soon as she's gone, we can get married, okay?"

"But...but you called me a prostitute."

"I only said that for her to believe I was completely over you; I didn't want her to suspect anything. Do you trust me?"

"I do." I trusted him-he was my fiancé. I knew he could never do such a thing to me. Before we started dating, he was my friend.

He pulled away and sat me on a sofa beside him, "I heard they canceled your graduation. I'm so sorry."

"It's okay," I said, and he took me in his arms in a cuddling position-I was trying so hard not to snort on his shirt.

"Did you quit your job?"

"I did, but I got it back," I said, and he seemed calmer than usual.

"It's okay; I trust you," he said, holding me even tighter. While I thought of either telling him about hooking up with his uncle or not.

--

{FEW DAYS LATER}

It's been days; I haven't heard anything from Clinton or must I say Uncle, I just prayed I never would, as this was for the best. Soon, I was going to become his nephew's wife.

Jade and I have been hanging out a lot now, although it's just at my place. I sometimes reach there and find that he has ordered food for us; the sex and movie dates were something to die for.

Jade was not working; he was supposed to take over his father's business in another city, but he decided to stay. He said he would take over when Lucy died, so he would take me with him.

I was happy with the way my life was going again, and he promised I would continue my studies in that city. Jade, being a billionaire's child, had everything-money, cars-so his life was already easy.

I was smiling, responding to a text from Jade. He was telling me he missed me when he left the time I got here; he spent his whole day with me.

"Okay, now I want to know the gist; what got you smiling like this?" Loren, my friend, asked as she walked in.

I was in the dressing room, getting ready for work.

"It's Jade; he's just too sweet," I giggled.

"Wait, you and this Jade guy are serious, so you settled for a side chick?"

"It's not for long, Loren, I told you. That girl is dying. When she does, I take my man," I said. I had already explained everything to her.

"But the both of you are married, and don't you think that girl would die if she found out her husband was cheating on her?"

"She won't; we are careful," I said and sent a text to Jade, telling him I was now working.

"I'm not in support of this, honestly."

"Just be happy for me, okay? Jade is the man I planned my life with; I can't lose him to some sick girl, over my dead body." I meant it.

I then wore my makeup.

"I'm trying. Anyway, you look gorgeous, and guess who's asking for you?"

"Who?"

"Our big client, Jack. The boss said you're not stripping tonight; you're entertaining Jack, as he doesn't want anyone else but you. I heard he paid a large sum for you tonight, as almost all the men wanted you tonight," she informed me. Of course, I was likable-my body, walk, and tone were on point, but that was all thanks to Loren-she taught me everything.

"Noted," I said as I finished applying the lipstick and admired myself in the mirror.

I looked gorgeous.

I was only in a thong and bra, which barely covered my boobs as they were big since I had implants.

I walked out after Loren told me I looked pretty. My walk and confidence are things everyone admired. Almost all the men in the club turned to stare.

I spotted Jack, the biggest client, seated by the bar on the VIP table. His table was filled with drinks, and he sat alone, waiting for me.

He was giving me his back, so he probably didn't see me. "Hello, handsome," I whispered in his ear as my nails caressed his chest.

He turned to me and faced me, "Jessie. My Queen," he nervously said. I winked and sat beside him, "Do you know how much I paid tonight just for your company?" He asked as he gulped down a shot of whisky and poured another.

"How much?" I asked in a teasing tone as I took the ice cubes from his shot with my nails, which he seemed to find sexy, and I crunched on them.

"Fifty grand," he revealed, took my fingers in his mouth, and licked off the ice. I knew my boss was making so much from me; that's why he promoted me, "But it's worth it; I could double it if he asked me to," he said.

Many men would order for me; the one with the higher bid got to spend time with me.

"Let me show you how worth your choice was," I said and stood from my seat and sat on his lap, my fingers ran down his chest as they were already inside his shirt. He had his eyes closed, breathing heavily.

I brushed my lips against his.

"Open your mouth!" I instructed and when he did; I let the ice from my mouth drip into his mouth, and he groaned in pleasure and held my waist as the cold liquid ran down his chest from his mouth.

Just as I was about to tease him some more by biting his lower lip, someone abruptly pulled me from him, and before I knew it, Jack was on the floor, wincing in pain as he held his mouth.

Someone had punched him.

"Don't you fucking ever put your dirty hands on my wife?"

It was Clinton.

Clinton said before he jumped on the man and landed another punch to the man's face.

"Clinton stop! Please!" I panicked, and then the security guards came and separated them. Jack was not even defending himself; he just kept cursing.

"Fuck, bro. What the fuck? Shit," he cleaned the blood on the corner of his mouth.

"What is going on here? Jessie to my office now!" My boss ordered. I was surely going to lose my job now, as Jack was his biggest client.

"No, my wife is coming home with me," Clinton said, holding my wrist tight. I felt pain.

"Well, if I'm not spending time with her, then I would like a refund," Jack said. From his voice, you could tell he was angry.

"No, no, no, Jessie is not the only companion we have; we have a lot; you can even choose to have five at the same time." My boss begged; knowing him, I knew he would never give a refund, especially because the money was a lot.

"I'm not interested in any other girl; as I told you, she is the reason I come here; it's either she stays with me and finishes the night or I leave with my refund," he threatened. I could see my boss panicking.

"Fine, you finish the night with her," he said and turned to me.

"Get back to work, Jessie."

"She's not getting back to anything; I said she's leaving with me right this instant; in fact, she quit."

"What?" Both my boss and I asked in unison,

"Jessie?" My boss sounded shocked.

"I'm so sorry, boss. I'll sort this out and get back to you right now," I said as I turned my attention to Jack. Clinton was still holding my hand.

"Mr. Jack, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I won't be working today; I'll continue tomorrow," I apologised.

"You don't need to go with him; I can give you whatever you want; just stay," Jack pleaded.

Jack was a lonely man. He was single as his wife slept with his best friend, and now they were getting divorced. That's what I've learnt from talking to him.

"Jack, please, we will sort this out," I pleaded.

"Alright," he sighed, and then came toward me in an attempt to hug me, but Clinton blocked his way. What have I gotten myself into?

"I'll see you around, and you can keep the money," he said, and my boss thanked him. I could see how relieved he was to see that Jack asked him to keep the money.

When Jack disappeared, I followed my boss to the office after calmly asking Clinton to wait for me; he gave me ten minutes.

---

"When did you get married?" My boss sounded angry.

"I don't know; I mean I'm... not sure if I'm even married to him," I stuttered.

"Listen, you're a potential here; most clients come here because of you, but I'll not have people fighting in my club for you; it could ruin my business. If you don't sort this out, then I'll have to let you go."

"It will not happen again, sir."

"Good, now I'm giving you a day off to go fix whatever issue with that man. With your job, marriage is not advisable, but if he's willing, then there's no problem as long as you don't come with a ring on your finger. You'll resume work tomorrow," he said. I thanked him, then went to the dressing room and changed into comfortable clothes.

Going back to the bar, I was shocked to see Loren sitting on Clinton's lap. She was entertaining him, and he seemed to be enjoying it.

Don't get me wrong; I wasn't jealous, just shocked by her behavior. I know this was her job, but I told her I was married to him.

I cleared my throat to get their attention, which worked as they pulled away from each other.

"Jessie will give you my number," Loren shamelessly said, and he nodded. What the hell? I pulled Loren aside and whispered in her ear.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting a chance, isn't he sexy?"

"What? No, he's not."

"Then let me be the judge of it," she said. Knowing Loren, I knew she could make him fall for her; she had the skills to do so, as I learnt from her.

"He's my husband," I said, not meaning it-just trying to get her reaction.

"But you don't want him; please, if he asks for my number, give it to him," she pleaded, "You don't know how lucky you are," she added before hugging me to say goodbye.

"You're crazy. You have a boyfriend," I reminded her. She just smiled as she pulled away, then winked at Clinton.

"See you around, sexy," she said before she walked away-she was flirting with him.

Clinton and I walked out of the club with his hand tight on my wrist; his grip tightened when we passed by men. I was shocked that they didn't try to approach me or do funny things-that they feared him.

When we got to his car, I was shocked to realise that he did not have guards; most billionaires move with bodyguards.

"So how did this happen? I mean, the marriage thing," I asked as soon as we were both in the car.

"Really?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yes really? I mean, you just showed up here as my husband and-"

"You didn't see the marriage certificate, and where's your ring?" He was unbelievable.

"Listen, whatever happened was a mistake; I was drunk or something." I rubbed my forehead, regret evident in my tone.

"I don't believe in mistakes." I could feel his stare, so I slowly looked at him to confirm, and that's when our eyes met, "I believe this is destiny; we are destined to be together," he said and moved his lips close to mine. Now they were just inches from each other as he leaned in closer. I closed my eyes, and my lips were ready for him only for him to pull away right at that moment.

"We are going home," he said.

"What no. I have a life. You need to drop me off at my apartment, or I can order a cab."

"Love, we are going home; we are married, remember," he reminded me and then started the car. There was nothing much I could do, as I knew men; I just had to wait for him to calm down, but I was still not able to control my mouth.

Words slipped out:

"I don't want to be married to you; I'll file for a divorce," I said, but he didn't respond.

Now that Jade was back in my life, I didn't want to complicate it by adding his uncle.

I remained calm and made notes in my head about how I was going to explain that I had a fiancé. Just when I thought he was not going to respond, he started talking.

"You know you're really funny; you walked to me and told me you were ready to even marry me. I asked that we get to know each other, but you refused; you said you wanted to do what your ex did, and now after marriage, you think you can just toss me aside; I'm not your fucking toy." He sounded angry, and I didn't respond as he was driving.

"You're stuck with me now," he added before he sped up.

After what felt like forever, the car came to a halt, signaling our arrival back at his apartment. "Welcome home, love," he said, and I rolled my eyes.

As we got out, I had no choice but to follow him behind, as the main gate was locked.

"Listen, I'm just 21. I can't be married to you; you're probably my father's mate," I argued as we walked up the stairs.

"I'm not that old," he said with a smile playing on his lips.

"I know there's a woman out there who wants a man like you, but that woman is not me."

"Who? Your friend and I must tell you, she's quite boring compared to you; do you even know why I married you?" Now there, he caught my attention.

"Why?" I asked curiously as to why he married me, and he just chuckled and unlocked the door. He asked me to go in first and then followed behind me.

I was about to say something when he suddenly pinned me against the wall; his nose sniffed my neck while his hands explored my waist.

"You have a sexy body, just perfect," he said against my ear. He brought his face to mine; our lips were just inches from each other. He was breathing so heavily that his breath fanned my lips.

"I have a boyfriend," I said out loud, hoping he would pull away, but he didn't; instead, he leaned in even closer, until our noses were touching.

I looked away but couldn't move, as not only was he holding me, but he trapped me; he stood in a position where I couldn't escape and the worst part were my legs; they betrayed me because I couldn't feel them.
