Trish I heard Elle called out but I couldn't respond, my whole feelings felt like I've been pressed down by a force I can't fathom, I guess this is what sleep paralysis feels like. I'm suffocating and I can't move.

Trish, I heard her shout but I can't even answer. Is this how I'm going to die? After everything I've been through, I can't die like this. Don't I deserve to be happy, don't I deserve to be loved?

I can feel my hands moving as the force holding me back subsides. Elle, I'm right here I whispered not sure it was loud enough for her to hear. THIRD PERSON'S POV

So finally it is Monday morning, Trish couldn't sleep a wink last night, she have been to worried thinking about the interview and very anxious but she managed to sleep for at least three hours. At the dusk of the morning, she had woken up and gotten ready for the interview. Elle woke up and noticed her friend wasn't beside her and she went to check for her, only to find her in the living room getting ready for at interview which was scheduled for 11am at 7am. Babe, ad much as you are excited and nervous for this interview, you need to relax so you wouldn't make a mistake, try and rest you brain, Elle said to her but Tee was so stubborn and she insisted that she was alright and she need to arrange her stuff so she wouldn't be delayed by anything. She said she didn't want to get there late and if she had the chance she would leave by 9am so she can have extra point against the other applicants which made Elle burst out in laughter. Babe, instead of secretary I think stand up comedy would be the best vocation for you because you are hilarious and I'm not trying to humor you but you are so funny Tee.

Whatever Elle, I'm so weak, I need a cup of strong coffee that would wake me up and strengthen my lazy bones, Elle couldn't help herself, she couldn't control the laughter like I said before Tee, you need to forfeit this interview and go interview to become a comedian or better still start Making short videos on tiktok because you are gifted. I've finally gotten there, and it isn't up to 11am yet. I guess luck is on my side. Good morning, please I am here for the interview, what is your name? My name is Trish Daniels. Okay your interview is scheduled for 11am right? Yes it is. Okay you are right on time. Go to the interview room, so sorry I forgot you don't know there, it is the first room on the right hand side, once you get there give the man standing there this letter and that all. I wish you best of luck, thank you very much. What is that? I heard someone whispered as I left the receptionist, please don't tell me she is here for the secretary post? You said it yourself I don't have to say anything,what does she think this place is? This isn't a place for people like her and I know she can't get the job, the application should have included people of status only, if she gets the job she would just be a stain in this company. I didn't even know when a year dropped form my eyes but I won't let it get to me, if I wasn't qualified I won't have reached this stage, so I'm better than whatever she is saying.

Miss Trish Daniels, yes that is me, you are been summoned, I pray I get the job I said in my mind. As I entered the room, I felt the air was different from the one outside and I didn't even know I was trembling until one of the interviewer mentioned it. Miss,you need to stop trembling, we are not going to eat you she joked and I couldn't be more grateful for that because in a weird way it calmed down my mood. The man with the glasses that have been staring at me asked do you the reason why you are here? Yes I do, I am here for the post of the secretary. Very good, so what makes you more qualified than the rest and what makes you stand out he asked. Sir unlike most of the other applicants, I didn't go to an ivy college, I graduated with first class from community college and also took some online classes but I know that I have the experience and the zeal to work harder than the rest.

My life wasn't a bed of roses and I know how to work to achieve what I want and I have a lot of experience and I would really aptit if you would give me the opportunity to prove myself. You can leave now we would call you back after we have made our decision. As I left, I heard them say that they should end the interview, they have found the perfect person. After what felt like an eternity, I heard my name again and as I entered, I was given a letter and was asked to resume the next day by 9am. I couldn't believe it.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Miss Trish, you are hired, the look of disbelief on her face was evident enough that they made the right choice. Why was I hired? I know that question may sound silly but I really wanted to know.

You said you needed an opportunity to prove yourself and we have presented that opportunity to you. Then they proceeded to give ither the appointment letter and also $2000 to get some new wears befitting the company. Sir? What is this money for?

That money is for you to get yourself new stuff befitting our company and don't worry it isn't from your pay, let's just call it company benefits.

She was loss of words and she didn't know how to express her gratitude but before she could utter a word, she heard that she should resume the next day by 9am. Thank you was all she said. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity, you won't regret it. I really hope we won't and your salary is $50,000 and with some company benefits like health insurance, your own car and apartment. She couldn't believe her ears, when you resume tomorrow ,you would get the keys to your apartment and car. Thank you for you time and I hope you enjoy working with us.

ELLE'S POV

I can't help but feel anxious, the time is past 12 and I haven't seen or heard anything from Tee, and she is someone that likes to be alone when she loses something she really wants, I just hope she got the job because it would really help us out but just incase she didn't get it, I need to go get some ice cream for all the tears later. As I was leaving I saw Tee, in the most biggest smile ever, I can't remember the last time I saw her smile like that and I know that she is bringing goodnews. Tee, what delayed you, I was starting to get anxious and worried.

Babe, I got the job, you did wat I asked? I got the job and it comes with a free house, car and the salary is $50,000 monthly.

Omg, babe I'm so happy for you and finally you can actually get the life you truly deserve. Not me babe,be happy for us, we would be able to get the comfortable life we deserve and before I forget we are going shopping she said. With which money? I got an envelope with $2000 to upgrade my wardrobe. Thank goodness we didn't get those clothes yesterday and now we would be able to get more clothes than are of higher quality.

So we went shopping and Tee been are usual self was checking the price tag, babe you are going to be the chairman's secretary,even though we don't have much, you should at least look decent and stop checking the price tag because this is the cheapest store in this mall and everything here are under $100. We are going to be rich, so you need to look like it.

So finally we are back home, I am so freaking tired and hungry, I could eat a horse at this rate she complained. TRISH'S POV

I couldn't have asked for a more better best friend, she is the absolute best, heavens brought her into my life at the right time and I couldn't be more grateful.

Trish!! I heard her shout my name with the sweet voice. I'm coming mum, you are so funny she replied. You need to arrange your stuff for tomorrow I don't want you to be delayed on your first day and do they give cafeteria food or do I have to pack lunch for you and before I forget don't carry that old black bag please, take my purse, the one I got for my birthday and wear.the shoe that came with it. Don't worry I have ironed your clothes already and what else.

Elle, Elle, breath in and out, you are stressed out and I'm the one with the job. You are my support system, if you are like this, how am I supposed to behave. We haven't eaten yet, so what I am going to do is I'm going to order Chinese and we are going to eat then relax before any other thing. Don't give yourself heartattack, I am going to be just fine on my first day.

After she would say I am the funny one, she is just so adorable, even though she is older, she acts just like my younger sister and I love that about her even if she can get very protective.

Finally, the food is here, I was starting to think that I just ordered it in my mind, I'm so famished and exactly what i thought Elle was eating without me, I couldn't even be mad at her because she is just so cute. Elle, you have started eating without me, it isn't fair. I'm angry at you.
