Chapter 1 Prologue

"Mr. Fraser, to be straightforward, I am not interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with you or anyone else. Let's move on and not waste any more of our time on this topic." The words hung in the air as the young man sitting across from her shifted in his seat, clearly feeling awkward and embarrassed.

"Wow!" He exclaimed, still taken aback by her directness and her composed demeanor afterwards.

Within just a few minutes of meeting her blind date, Camilla swiftly and decisively turned him down without hesitation.

The 29-year-old fashion designer entrepreneur looked impeccable in a stunning emerald pantsuit, with matching heels that accentuated her legs. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail, and a pair of diamond stud earrings added a touch of luxury to her look.

Despite the casual nature of the date, she seemed to be dressed for a business meeting rather than a romantic evening.

"Miss Kings," the young man sitting across from her began, making a deliberate effort to establish eye contact as he spoke.

He spoke with conviction, his dark brown eyes shining with determination." I understand that you may not be interested in dating right now, but I have to tell you, I've already fallen for you."

"I promise that if you give me a chance, I'll do everything in my power to make you happy." He waited patiently for her response.

"Thank you for your kind words, but I firmly believe that I don't need a romantic partner to experience happiness," she said, rising from her seat.

With a polite and cordial tone, she said, "It was nice meeting you, Mr. Fraser. I must take my leave now." She said, before turning and walking away, leaving the young man staring in shock after her receding figure.

As soon as she settled into the plush interior of her Bentley Mulliner Batur car, she released a deep sigh of relief. It wasn't long before her phone buzzed to life, and she winced as her mother's voice, practically shrieking, filled her ears as she answered the call.

"Camilla!.... John Fraser just called to tell me that you blew him off on your date." Her tone showed that she was very annoyed.

"For goodness sake Bambina (Baby) this is your thirty-seventh date already!" Her voice growing more agitated.

"Exactly Mama..." Camilla sighed in response to the incessant voice.

"Look I understand that you and Nonna want to see me in a relationship, but I have told you multiple times that I am not ready for one," Camilla said, sighing.

"Continuing to set me up on these dates is pointless and I wish you would stop." She stated firmly and paused before continuing, anticipating her mother's counterargument.

"I need to run and pick up some things from the office before heading home. Ti amor,(I love you)." Camilla said swiftly and disconnected the call, not wanting to engage in another conversation about settling down.

She started the engine, and drove out of the parking lot.

Chapter 2 Part 1

"Remember, be mindful of your alcohol consumption. You know how it affects you," she cautioned, her eyebrows raised in concern.

Camilla rolled her eyes in response, "It's just a few glasses, Mammá. What's the worst that could happen?"

Unconvinced, Alessia narrowed her eyes before turning and continuing on her way.

Few hours later...

Camilla woke up with a pounding headache and a feeling of dread in the pit of her stomach.

As she slowly opened her eyes and took in her surroundings, memories of the previous night came flooding back to her.

The party, the drinks, the laughter and a blurry image of her staggering to her hotel suite.

"Hmmm...what time is it?" Camilla mumbled groggily, rolling onto her back.

She could vaguely hear the sound of a clock ticking somewhere in the distance.

Everything felt hazy like she'd been hit on the head with a baseball bat. Her head felt heavy and throbbing, and her body felt sore and heavy too. It's like a ton of bricks was placed right on top of her.

She tried to move a little but realized she couldn't, feeling like her body had just been wrenched out of its normal position.

"Mmh! What's wrong? Am I sick? Or am I on my period?" She thought to herself.

"But I saw it fourteen days ago." She said to herself again.

"It's probably the drinks I had last night." She concluded.

Slowly, she sat up on the bed and looked to her side, and what she saw made her stop breathing for several seconds.

SHE WAS IN BED WITH A MAN.

Now, not just any man but her sworn enemy, Alexander Aziel Cena.

Alexander Cena is the thirty-one-year-old CEO of Xander's Jewels, a multi-billion dollar global brand that deals in pearls and jewelry of the highest qualities, a brand for the high and mighty.

Camilla looked away from his sleeping figure and looked around the bedroom to see clothes, hers and what she presumed to be his, scattered all over the room.

She was breathing heavily as she continued looking around the room. Her mind was racing and she felt like her heart was going to pop out of her chest when she looked down at the covers stained with blood.

"My blood...?" Her tone colored with disbelief.

Did she just lose her virginity to Alexander Cena? She thought, as terror crept into her being.

"Arrgh!!!" She screamed at the realization of what had happened, causing the man lying beside her to groan lazily and turn to his side.

"Celine, could you please keep it down? I have a bad headache." He mumbled tiredly.

"Celine?" She asked quietly with furrowed brows, wondering who that was, and if he just called her by another person's name.

"Wake up, tu bastardo!(You bastard!)" She yelled in her rich Italian accent, getting him to immediately open his eyes wide and turn to her.

He could recognize that pitched Italian voice anywhere, as his blue eyes met her gray ones glaring murderously at him.

"Wha-" He began trying to sit up but stopped midway due to his head pounding even harder than before.

He looked up at Camilla who wore a disgusted look as well as her usual angry scowl whenever she saw him and he could tell by her expression that something was wrong.

"You bastard! How dare you?!" She shrieked, feeling violated.

Alexander was at a loss, as he couldn't remember how he ended up in bed with Camilla and not Celine, who he had a long-standing agreement with for casual, no-strings-attached encounters.

He remembered sending the lady a text to meet him up at the Houston Grande hotel, but now he was naked, and in bed with Camilla Kings.

Which meant he had sex with her last night, Camilla Kings of all ladies! He thought to himself incredulously as his eyes moved around and landed on the blood-stained covers.

"You were a virgin?!" Was all he could blurt out in complete shock and disbelief.

Chapter 3 Part 2

Camilla Idaila Kings is the only child of Fernando and Alessia Kings, owners of Kingston stores, the biggest chain store in the whole of South and North America and the USA.

The twenty-nine-year-old drop-dead gorgeous, famous, Italian clothing-designer had been in the fashion industry for fifteen years.

She was nicknamed 'Camilla heartbreaker' by the public, due to the numerous turndowns she had given to countless men of high standing in Los Angeles.

She had no interest in pursuing a relationship, instead choosing to focus her efforts on building her brand, Tombell® Fashion House.

Camilla is a total workaholic, goal-getter, and an excessively blunt person, who has never been in a relationship with any man.

So it was a big deal for her to wake up in such a compromising situation with the man she dislikes the most; Alexander Cena.

Sure enough, he was handsome, tall,

muscular, has a tan body with thick dark brown hair, a charming smile, and gorgeous blue eyes that were like the color of the Caribbean sea.

However, those physical attributes didn't seem to attract Camilla.

She saw him as spoiled, rich, arrogant, rude, self-centered and so many other things, which was unacceptable for the young woman. She never tried to pretend to like him whenever their paths crossed.

"What have you done to me?" Camilla muttered, her arms instinctively wrapped around herself. She could feel the cold sweat on her body and a slight throbbing on top of her head, what felt like an immense headache.

She took a quick peek at what she was wearing under the peach-colored duvet and saw that she was naked from the top, down; her bra and panties were gone.

"I...I...I didn't know it was you. How did you get into my room? You're not supposed to be here." Alexander spoke, sounding completely confused.

"What do you mean by your room?! This is my-'' She trailed off, looking around the hotel suite again and realizing that her suit wasn't as big as this. Also, the furniture arrangement and decorations were a lot different from the room she had slept in the previous night.

"You did this. You set me up. I always knew you were many things, Alexander, but I never knew a rapist was one of them!" She screamed at him, suddenly feeling more angry than hurt by the revelation.

"Stop screaming at me? I can explain!" Alexander pleaded, clearly panicking. The last thing he wanted to happen was for Camilla to think that he set her up and had forced himself on her.

"Explain what?! You....you...Pervertito!(Pervert!)" She went on and on, calling him different kinds of names in her native language, and not giving him any chance to explain himself.

Meanwhile, in the same hotel, Mariah Collins, a popular blogger, and owner of celebrity gossip digital magazine, 'Snitched Tongue' was also lodged.

She was able to secure a hotel reservation for the night before the BOLD Fashion Feast opening day, thanks to the help of her husband, Jack Collins.

But it was the end of the event last night and unfortunately for her, it seemed like everyone was at their best.

No one wanted the public attention Mariah was going to bring to them if their issues found their way into her magazine. So they avoided creating any sort of scandal. Or was it that she missed out on what happened?

She was currently sitting in her hotel suite, sipping her coffee that early morning and thinking about what to make out of the little news gathered at the event when her phone rang.

It was a private number, still, she picked up the call since her curious mind would not let her ignore whoever it was that was calling her.

"Hello." She said as she answered her phone in a tiny voice, barely audible to others but to her, it was like a booming voice.

"Who is this?" The woman asked, her lips pausing into a thin line as she waited patiently for an answer.

There were several seconds of silence before an accented voice came through the other end of the line as the caller spoke.

"Are you still at Houston Grande hotel?" The deep baritone asked in an Italian accent.

"Yes, I am. But who are you and why did you ask?" She asked again but the fellow on the other side of the line dismissed it.

"Good." He replied, his tone turning more serious.

She furrowed her brows slightly, trying to decipher what his intentions were as she waited for him to speak again.

"Go to room 109 now. Something is waiting for you."

With those words, he hung up right before she could ask him the question on her mind.

The ominous tone of the message made her curious. What could be awaiting her in room 109? She thought as she pocketed her cell phone, took a sip of her coffee, and picked up her purse.

Inside were two essential items she always carried with her: her lip gloss and a spy pen camera, a gift from her husband for her 26th birthday, to aid her in her work as a blogger.

After that, she left her suite and headed downstairs toward the lobby.

Her nerves grew exponentially with each passing second as she walked down the corridor until she stood in front of the door to the said room,109.

She hesitated to knock for a few seconds, wondering if it was a real lead or just someone messing with her.

She then took a deep breath and placed soft knocks on the door, waiting for a few minutes for someone to answer her but none came.

After standing there for a few more minutes, and having knocked on the door a few more times, she noticed that the door was ajar.

She then turned the handle of the door and with a slight push from her, it opened slowly, then she slipped in to see what scoop awaited her...
