Chapter 1 Shattered trust

Stacy was leaving her parents' funeral grounds. In her mind, she envisioned peace, thinking that where she was heading would be peaceful, but trouble began the moment she knocked on the door.

Unfortunately, Caspian wasn't home, so the door was opened by Caspian's mother, who was furious upon seeing her.

"What are you doing here?" was the question Caspian's mother asked, her forehead wrinkled in anger.

"Oh, come on, mother! Is that really a question?" Stacy asked with a smile, but Caspian's mother didn't receive it kindly.

"I came home. Is it a crime to come home?" Stacy said, looking at Caspian's mother, who didn't respond and instead slammed the door in her face and went inside.

She was left outside, stunned, unable to understand what was happening. She waited, and after about 20 minutes, Caspian's mother reopened the door, this time with a suitcase full of clothes, and said, "I believe no one came here with anything, right?"

"Mother, what do you mean?" Stacy asked.

"I didn't give birth to a creature like you, so stop it! Just stop and take your luggage and leave," Caspian's mother said, throwing the suitcase down.

"Even so, you will still be my mother-in-law," Stacy interjected.

"I didn't give birth to such filth. My child is the only one. Take your suitcase and leave," Caspian's mother said angrily.

Stacy thought it was a joke, what Caspian's mother was saying, but she came to believe it after seeing the door closed again, and when she tried to knock, there was no sign of it being opened. Her head hurt; she was left in shock, not knowing what decision to make.

"Where do I go? I'm not leaving; I'm not going anywhere. I'm carrying Caspian's child. I need to see him and talk about this pregnancy," Stacy said as she sat down, unwilling to leave the area.

While Stacy was still in shock, the gate suddenly opened, and Caspian's mother appeared. She thought Stacy had already left, but that wasn't the case. She was very angry.

Stacy looked at Caspian's mother, but the bag she was carrying hit her face. She found it hard to stand up properly because she was just about to get up. Being hit infuriated Stacy, but she tried to control her anger.

"Why did you hit me?" Stacy asked, approaching Caspian's mother.

"Just leave," Caspian's mother said angrily.

She remained frozen, still puzzled, trying to figure out what to do. A car stopped in front of the house, and Caspian got out. Caspian saw Stacy and decided to approach her, looking furious.

"What are you doing here?" Caspian asked angrily.

Everyone turned their eyes to look at Caspian. Caspian's mother saw this as the perfect moment to pretend she was crying to convince her son that she had been beaten. Since Caspian had seen the commotion while he was in the car, he believed it was true that his mother had been beaten.

"Mom, what's going on?" Caspian asked.

"She hit me, she came here, and I gave her, her clothes to leave since morning.....," she hadn't finished speaking when Stacy interrupted.

"Mother, stop lying, no one has beaten you. And I didn't come here with bad intentions," Stacy snapped angrily, her temper flaring.

"If it's not with bad intentions, why are you here? No one wants you here," Caspian's mother raised her voice at Stacy, who had been sitting quietly listening.

"Get out of my house, go back to wherever you came from, you clingy dog!" Caspian's mother added.

Being called a dog by someone she deeply respected hurt Stacy a lot. She felt deeply offended and wondered what to do to that woman who looked at her with envy. Finally, she decided to speak gently.

"Caspian, can I talk to you?" she asked Caspian, who turned and looked at Stacy, then spat in her face and disdainfully said, "I can't talk to a woman who stinks, always smelling."

"And stop shouting," Caspian said as he slapped her.

"And get away from here, you whore," Caspian's mother said mockingly, pushing Stacy.

Every time she tried to speak, she shed tears and couldn't manage to say anything. She was in a prison of pain, a prison she didn't know when she would be freed from.

"Get out, leave," Caspian said, then kicked Stacy in the back, causing her to fall to the ground on her stomach.

Caspian's mother saw this as the perfect opportunity to kick Stacy again. She positioned herself to kick her on the side.

"I am pregnant. I can't leave because I am thinking about the life I will live without the person who got me pregnant," Stacy cried out with great pain.

These words were accompanied by tears that flowed every time she spoke. She never expected to be the first to say something like that, but what she was going through made her feel she had to reveal the truth so that decisions could be made.

Despite the truth being revealed, Caspian became even angrier. He was fierce and didn't want to hear anything about the pregnancy.

"Just because I'm rich, you want to give me that pregnancy, right?" he said.

"Find someone else to give that pregnancy to, you dog," Caspian's mother said.

"But it's your pregnancy, my love. You know I have never been with another man besid....." Stacy couldn't finish her sentence before Caspian's mother slapped her again, a holy slap that went deep.

"I don't want to hear you say that the pregnancy is my son's or that he went and came back with other issues. Caspian has no pregnancy," she turned towards her son and said, "and I want you to go inside, no talking to prostitutes," Caspian's mother said.

Caspian had no choice but to obey his mother. He stepped back, got into the car, then drove it inside, and his mother closed the gate. Stacy stared in disbelief at what was happening.

"I truly believe people change," Stacy said as tears fell from her eyes. She couldn't believe that those who had hurt and disrespected her were the same people she had trusted and who had been part of her happiness.

Stacy was left outside, feeling immense pain in her heart. She found herself crying heavily, tears streaming down in agony. She had nowhere to go or rely on; she felt as if the entire world had collapsed on her.

"Pregnancy brings so many challenges," she said to herself as tears flowed, "Who will help me raise this child? At least accept..." Before she could finish speaking, the gate opened again.

Her eyes wanted to see who was coming out. It was Caspian, carrying an electric jug filled with water. When he arrived, he didn't waste time; he opened it and poured the water on Stacy who cried in agony.

"Go report it anywhere, no one will arrest me," Caspian said, hitting her stomach before closing the door.

Chapter 2 The loss

Inside the gym, there was a handsome man with boxing gloves on his hands, standing in front of a punching bag, throwing heavy punches and making his body sweat. He took off his gloves and set them aside, then grabbed a water bottle to hydrate himself.

Regan was extremely angry. Losing billions of money due to theft was unacceptable; there must be consequences. He took out his phone to make a call, but the number wasn't reachable.

"This idiot never answers his phone!" He muttered angrily to himself, but at that moment, his phone started ringing. It was his sister calling. He relaxed his face and smiled before answering.

"Hello, sis! Oh, I was actually waiting for your call. So, has the party already started or is it still unclear?"

"Everything is great, but we've changed the time; it will be in the evening now. Do whatever you have to do and leave work early because if you're late, I'll be very upset."

"Don't worry, everything will be fine, and I'll arrive on time, as always."

Regan finished his call and hung up, then headed to the bathroom to take a shower to continue with his duties as the company's CEO.

As time slowly passed, heavy rain started pouring, waking Stacy up from a deep sleep. She found herself lying by the roadside, not outside the gate. After fainting, they had taken her and dumped her there. She slowly got up, holding her stomach, which was in severe pain. She began to shuffle across the road, unsure of where she was going because darkness had already fallen, and she couldn't understand where she was.

Meanwhile, Regan was in a hurry, driving fast to get home for the party. Being the elder brother, he felt the need to arrive early. The traffic was getting on his nerves, as it was wasting his time.

"If I'm late, I won't hear the end of it. Let me take a shortcut," Regan muttered to himself, turning the car onto unofficial shortcut routes, which seemed abandoned.

He maintained his speed, unwilling to slow down. Suddenly, he was surprised to see someone crossing the road. It was a woman who seemed to be walking unsteadily, her right hand on her stomach. She looked disoriented, like a drunkard.

He suddenly hit the brakes to let the woman pass, but before she finished crossing the road, she fell and lost consciousness. This surprised Regan greatly.

Regan remained watching the woman, unable to understand whether she was drunk or had some other issue afflicting her. He couldn't find answers to the questions swirling in his head, but eventually, he got out of the car and slowly approached the woman.

"Now, what was this woman doing in a place like this? It's so quiet and eerie!" Regan said to himself as he reached the woman.

"Hey Miss, Hello, can you hear me!?" Regan called out, but the woman remained silent, unable to respond or move. She was none other than Stacy.

Seeing that the woman didn't respond, Regan moved closer, knelt down, and placed his hand on her nose to check if she was breathing. Fortunately, she was breathing, but she had lost consciousness and was unresponsive.

"Now, what happened to this girl? Why does she look like she's not drunk!?" Regan wondered. Eventually, he began to examine Stacy, but was surprised to see her covered in blood in her private areas, making it hard for him to understand what had happened to her.

As he continued to observe and ponder, suddenly Stacy regained consciousness, but she didn't have the strength to do anything more than open her eyes, which was a struggle. She managed to see Regan, who was contemplating how to help her.

"If I leave her, she might lose her life. Let me rush her to the hospital and then I'll hurry to my sister's party, no problem," Regan decided finally, and he picked up Stacy, who was aware of everything happening but unable to do anything.

Stacy looked at Regan and smelled nice cologne emanating from his body, but eventually, she lost consciousness again for the second time. She couldn't recognize what was happening until she woke up and found herself on a hospital bed with a drip in her right hand, administering blood into her body.

She couldn't understand how long she had been there, but she remembered being carried by a man last. However, she couldn't recall what happened after that. While she was pondering, a nurse arrived, responsible for watching over her.

"Nu... nurse, I'm sorry, but I need to know about my health, and I need to know how my pregnancy is progressing!?" Stacy asked, filled with anxiety.

"Oh, I'm really sorry, my dear but the truth is, you no longer have a pregnancy. I mean your pregnancy has miscarried," the nurse didn't want to hide the truth from Stacy, but Stacy couldn't believe it.

"No... no, nurse, you must be joking. My pregnancy can't miscarry so easily. Please, test me again and give me the results, please," poor Stacy spoke with tears streaming down her face because if her pregnancy had indeed miscarried, she wouldn't be able to bear a child for the man she loved.

"No, madam, there's nothing like that because our equipment cannot make mistakes in tests. But if you want to believe it, you can look at these results," the nurse had to provide Stacy with the results, who remained looking at them, unable to comprehend.

She had no choice but to believe it, but now, what would she tell Caspian about the miscarriage? It was true that Caspian was the reason for losing the pregnancy, but she didn't want to blame him. Instead, she felt like the one responsible.

"Okay, nurse, no problem, but how long am I going to stay here?" Stacy asked.

"Oh, you're already feeling better, you can go now. But before you leave, there are some clothes that someone brought for you, so you can use them," the nurse handed Stacy a small bag, which, upon opening, contained new clothes and shoes.

This surprised her greatly. How could the man be so kind? She found herself curious to see him, if only to thank him, but it wasn't possible. Even when she tried to ask the nurse, she didn't get the answer she wanted.

"He just brought you here and said we should provide you with services, then he paid the bill and left. But the truth is, he didn't say if he would come back here," the nurse replied before leaving, leaving Stacy with many questions about the man who saved her.

Chapter 3 Abducted

On Regan's side, the next day he woke up feeling very tired after getting drunk last night, which was the night of the party.

It was his sister's birthday, he headed to the bathroom to get ready and then went to the dining room to have breakfast, but he was surprised to meet someone he had lost touch with for years.

It was a very beautiful woman known as Riley, but seeing her made Regan feel uncomfortable, and he even abandoned the idea of having breakfast.

"Regan, my dear, why are you standing there? Come join us at the table. And today, your friend Riley is here. Does that mean you're not happy to see her?" Regan's mother spoke with a smile, but Regan cut short her smile.

"No, Mom, I won't be able to join you because I got a call from the office. I have an emergency meeting, so you all carry on," Regan turned and left, but Riley had already realized why Regan didn't want to join them.

She got up and went outside where she saw Regan opening the door of his car. She hurried and grabbed his hand.

"Why do you hate me, Regan? Is it because I married someone else?" Riley questioned.

"No, but can you let me go, please," Regan spoke softly, but as he turned, Riley grabbed his hand again.

"I know I made a huge mistake marrying someone else and even having a child with him. But the truth is, I loved you and I still do. So, can we be together now? Because I've left that man and come back to the country for you!" Riley spoke With emotion, this showed how much Riley deeply loved Regan.

"Okay. I am now busy with business, so relationships and marriage are not on my agenda anymore. But when the time comes, I'll look for a woman to marry," Regan concluded and left, leaving Riley overwhelmed with tears of sorrow and regret.

After being discharged from the hospital, Stacy found herself on the streets, unsure of where to go since she had no place to stay. The neighbourhood she was in was unfamiliar to her because she had been thrown out the previous night. Despite her hunger pangs, she noticed a man standing by a tree, engrossed in his phone. She approached him and greeted him politely.

"Hello, my brother. Could you lend me your phone? I need to make a call urgently," Stacy asked politely and humbly.

"Sure, no problem," the man replied, but he was eyeing her from head to toe, clearly taken with Stacy.

Unaware of his intentions, Stacy took the phone and dialled Caspian's number, as it was on her mind. Luckily, the call connected, and hearing Caspian's voice brought a smile to Stacy's face.

"Hello, who is this?" The masculine voice resonated, calming Stacy's heart as she was familiar with Caspian's voice.

"Caspian, it's me, Stacy, your beloved," she replied.

"Where are you?" Stacy asked, but suddenly the call was cut off, and when she tried to dial again, the number was unreachable as the phone had been switched off.

With no choice, Stacy began to walk away from the spot. However, the man who she had asked for the phone called his friends in the neighbourhood, suggesting they take advantage of Stacy and use her as their woman for the night.

"Alright, don't worry. Just keep following her, and when the time comes, we'll take over. No need to stress," he assured his friends.

Stacy was filled with sadness at the turn of events, realizing that Caspian had changed so much. All their promises of never parting ways seemed meaningless now. However, she refused to lose hope, believing that one day Caspian would return, and their love would continue as before.

Stacy, a 24-year-old orphan, had lost her parents in a train accident years ago when she was very young. She was raised by her paternal grandmother until she turned nineteen, but after her grandmother's death, she faced hardships and was eventually forced to live on the streets after her relatives took away the house left by her parents. Despite the initial difficulties, things had gotten better when she met Caspian.

Her life with Caspian had been filled with happiness, and they eventually fell deeply in love with each other. They made vows and promises to each other, which made Stacy trust Caspian deeply. They even planned to have a child together to make him happy. However, she was eventually left heartbroken when Caspian left her, and her pregnancy was cruelly terminated.

Stacy continued wandering the streets until nightfall when she found some boxes and lay down outside a clothing store to sleep. It was a fitful sleep, as the cold was intense, not to mention the mosquitoes.

Unable to continue sleeping, she sat up, but to her surprise, three men arrived, their faces covered with scarves. Stacy didn't recognize them and wondered why they were there.

"I know you must be wondering a lot, beautiful girl, but we've come here to offer you help. If you accept, you won't have to endure this cold anymore," the first man said, leaving Stacy confused.

"Why, but I know you, and what are you talking about?" Stacy asked, but suddenly they attacked her and grabbed her forcefully, pulling her with them.

"If you won't understand us politely, then we'll make you understand by force. Let's take her," one of the men ordered.

After the command was given, Stacy was taken away, she started screaming with fear, unsure of what fate awaited her. Having her mouth covered, Stacy was taken by the men to a place that only they knew. But at that moment, Regan was on his way back home after a busy day at the office. As he passed through a forest where there was a shortcut, he was surprised to see three men crossing the road into the woods, carrying a woman who was screaming for help.
