Entangled (A Billionaire contract)

Chapter 1.

"Alyssa, you are fired!" A hoarse voice rang in her ear, she stared at the phone screen and arched her brows, then placed back the cell phone on her ear.

"Sir, what offence did I commit?" She managed to speak out of the shock that had already enveloped her.

Tears were struggling in her eyes already.

"I don't ever want to see your feet in this company again, get your filthy self another Job." The CEO screamed at her.

"But..." the phone hung up when she was about to say something else.

She lifted her face and stared at the wall clock, it was almost 7:30am. She stared at herself completely and shook her head in disgust.

"What the heck is really going on with me? This is the second job that I'm losing within two months." She murmured and leaned in the wall with her head bowed low.

The tears that had been fighting had the opportunity to roll down and drop on the floor.

She sniffed. "All because I'm refusing them my body huh? Why on earth should I date my CEO, a married man for that matter?"

A hot breath passed through her mouth and then she took a deep breath and headed to the little table beside her bed.

"I'm not gonna stay idle for any reason. Going out now to search for a job." She dragged her little handbag and dashed out of the room.

She stood at the roadside waiting for a cab to board when an idea struck her mind.

"Isn't it better to keep strolling down the street? I might find a job vacancy." She thought twisting her face.

She began taking short steps along glancing at each side of the road in search of a job vacancy.

"This life is very miserable to me, I just hope to be that strong enough to overcome all these." She murmured while walking.

A splash of water brought her back to reality, she turned to see a car some miles away from her.

Her feet stiffened at a place staring at the car, and then her body that was messed up.

She rubbed her palm on her face and wiped away the water, since she doesn't a towel or handkerchief.

Her eyes affixed on the car until it stopped and a young man on a dim blue suit alighted from it.

He made his way towards Alyssa expressing an apology look on his face.

"You jerk..." she cursed with a chiseled face. "If you don't know how to drive, why not drop the car key order than disgracing yourself?" She roared at him.

The young man dipped his palm into his pocket and brought out a light blue little towel, then began cleaning Alyssa's body wit it.

She hit his shoulder and pushed him off her side. "You're out of your senses."

"But I'm very sorry, it wasn't intentional." He apologized trying to bend again when Alyssa took the towel away from him and threw it on his face. "I can see that you lack manners, you aren't scared of cleaning my body."

"I'm only showing sympathy, stop being rude." The young man replied her.

"Fuck off my sight." She yelled at her.

He swallowed his saliva. "You can go to hell with the dirty splash." He retorted and moved to his car.

Alyssa bit her lips in dismay while staring at her body. "This dude is a devil sent." She muttered making use of her palm on the wet cloth.

"I just hope my looks doesn't matter when it comes to offering me a job." She soliloquized and moved on.

"Welcome Sir." The young clerk greeted Mr Adrian.

He turned to her and only gave a nod, her greetings worths nothing to him since he finds it as a means of drawing his attention.

What he hasn't thought of doing is to sack her clerk, despite the way she showcases herself to him.

One warning he had gave her is never to dress indecent to work or she will fired, and she obeyed that order.

Certain times he doesn't blame those ladies wanting his attention. Who wouldn't want to be close to a wealthy and famous charming like him?

But he doesn't give a damn time to them, heaven knows he isn't ready for a woman.

Oh! He wouldn't have their time for any reason. All that matters to him is the flowing of the company.

"Where are the visitors?" He asked the clerk who kept throwing a lustful stares at him.

She pouted her lips in a sexy manner. "They've been waiting for you in the visitor's room." She replied him.

He nodded and walked out heading to the visitors room. Immediately he stepped into the room, they all stood on their feet.

"It's nice to see you, Sir Adrian." One of the men uttered.

A smile appeared on his face for the first time since he left his home. "I'm very sorry for keeping you all waiting, I had a little clash with a woman ony way coming so I had to sort it out with her." He apologized.

They shrugged their shoulders.

"It's alright." They all chorused one after the other.

"Let's go to my office." He referred to them and moved out, they all followed him instantly.

In his office, he offered them a seat while he got seated on his.

"So, what brought the business board management to my office?" He asked smiling at them.

One out of the three men placed a file on his table. "Uhmmm! We are here to extend an important message from the business board to you."

He knitted his eyebrows. "Okay, I'm all ears."

"Sir, the business board will be responsible for all the hanging contracts coming to this company, if the CEO isn't married thirty one days from today." The young man stated.

He narrowed his eyes. "What are you trying to say? I don't... I don't really get you?"

"He meant that you should get married before thirty one days from today, or this company will no longer be getting any contracts for a work again." Another man narrated to him.

A fake smile affixed on his face. "This is all a prank right? There's nothing binding the contracts I get and my marital status." His voice sounded hoarse, revealing how enraged he is already.

'Who gave such order?' Adrian stood up from his chair, banging his fist on the table making the board members shriek in fear

'Your father' they chorused like they were under a spell

Adrian collapsed on his chair in frustration, he never knew his father could go this far to make him get a wife

'Get out all of you' he said in his hoarse voice as they all scrambled to their feet immediately none wanting to be a victim of his evil wrath

He loosened his tie knot closing his eyes to rack his brain on how to solve the mess he was in.

He felt someone carcass his broad chest making him flinch immediately, he opened his eyes and saw his clerk staring at him with lustful eyes

'I can see you are ready to beg on the streets again' his threatening voice rang out making her adjust herself in fear

'Say it or get out' he buttoned up his shirt when he noticed her wide eyes on it

'Sir we have a candidate applying for the secretary position' she said in a low voice embarrassed that her little plan of seduction failed

'Send her in' he told her as she bowed her head and left his office deliberately swaying her fake ass

'Slut' he whispered under his breath eying her .

Alyssa roamed the whole street of Singapore searching for a job vacancy, her stomach growled in hunger reminding her she had not eaten since she was fired in the morning

'What a frustrating day' Alyssa groaned approaching a near by cafeteria

She ransacked her bag hoping to find a meaningful amount but the money on her could not feed a chicken not to talk of a human. She dropped the bag in frustration sighing heavily when she saw a sign board

An adrenaline of happiness rushed through her veins as the feeling of hunger disappeared immediately as she picked her bag and ran out of the cafeteria, attracting the stares of people, she got closer and read the sign board

SECRETARY NEEDED IN ADRIAN ENTERPRISE

She flagged a taxi immediately

'Adrian Enterprise' She told the elderly man riding the taxi

'$S500' the taxi driver replied like he was in a hurry

'That is too expensive' She yelled at the taxi driver making him get angry

'The taxi driver is not for everybody, you can as well use your goddamn legs' he yelled back speeding away

Alyssa stared speechless almost breaking down in tears at all the insult hurled at her. She adjusted and started jogging since she was broke

ADRIAN ENTERPRISE

Alyssa arrived Adrian enterprise reeking of sweat as she jogged all the way to the company. She stared at her ruined mini skirt and uttered a silent prayer in her head. She sprayed her cheap perfume to impress her interviewer

She stepped into the company making all eyes focus on her jeering and murmuring words to themselves

'Why does she look so haggard?"

"She looks more like a frustrated bitch" a lady mocked her making the rest burst into laughter

Alyssa ignored all the jeering, clutching her CV to her chest tightly walking the to the clerk table

"Hello am here for the job vacancy of the secretary' she smiled at the lady who eyed her with her long eye lashes

'You are late' the clerk harsh voice shocked Alyssa making her lose her voice for some minutes

'I'm sorry' Alyssa apologized after regaining her voice

'Follow me' the clerk commanded her swaying her fake ass in her front

Alyssa swallowed the invincible lump in her throat as she stepped into the cold office, covering the stain on her mini skirt with her CV

'Good afternoon sir' she greeted the man who had his back facing her

'Sit' Adrian replied hoarsely as she gulped down nothing sitting nervously

'Am i safe with this harsh people?' Alyssa thought within herself shifting uncomfortably on the foamy chair

Adrian almost choked on his saliva as he stared at his Alyssa who was the most shocked out of the both of them. Alyssa begged the earth silently to swallow her at that moment

'I finally ruined my opportunity with this wide mouth of mine' Alyssa regretted how she spoke rudely to him

'Can i have your CV?' Adrian asked pretending like he knew nothing

'Does he have short memory?' Alyssa stared intensely at Adrian who checked her CV with his eye brow knitted together

'Sorry you are not qualified for this job' Adrian told her throwing her CV on the table

'What do you mean sir? I worked as a secretary in my previous office' Alyssa explained herself feeling hot in the cold office

'Then it must have been a local company, we deal with high qualifications and the only thing you can offer is your high school certificate' Adrian voice sounded disgusted making Alyssa bit her lips in embarrassment

'You can leave my office now' Alyssa picked up her CV with her head bent low as she walked to the door

"Wait" she paused in her tracks when she heard his calm voice thanking her stars

'When next you are going for a job interview you should dress like classy lady and not a road side beggar' Alyssa nodded her head in shame and walked out of the office with her wobbling feet

She ran out of the company, crying profusely not minding the stares from the employees

'Was i too harsh on her?' Adrian thought within himself sighing heavily

PENG MANSION

Adrian drove into his parents mansion roughly, he ignored all the greetings of the staffs as he barged into his parents sitting room where he met the curled up in love.

He scrunched his face in disgust clearing his throat to make his presence known

'Look who we have have here' His mother said cheerfully standing up to hug her son

His father sipped his wine slowly ignoring him totally

'Dad, why did you give the board members such order?' Adrian questioned his father angrily

'You know how much have achieved and what my plans are for the company so getting a wife now is definitely not my priority' Adrian continued hoping to convince his father who has not said a word except sipping his wine slowly

'Adrian i give you thirty one days to get and nothing will change my decision. You either get a wife within thirty one days or you forget about the company' his father said sternly like a military man

Adrian angrily at his for before and then left the house banging the door heavily startling his mother

'Do you think this will work?' His mother sighed heavily

'You just watch and see' his father said stroking his moustache

'Dude how do you plan on getting a wife within thirty one days? George, Adrian friend, exclaimed after hearing Adrian plight

Adrian continue staring into space racking his head to find a suitable bride to fulfil his father's wish, a smile crossed his face as the perfect lady came to his mind

'Dude what is funny?' George eyed him suspiciously wondering if he was still in his normal mental health

'I found the perfect lady' Adrian smiled widely like he had just won a lottery

'Then let us start the planning right away' George replied excitedly, relived that the puzzle has been solved

Adrian reclined back into his chair, remembering how he embarrassed her and the rude words be said to her when she came for the job interview

'What is wrong?' George asked when he saw the the worried look on Adrian face

'She may not consider my request' Adrian replied thick lines appearing on his forehead showing he was in deep thought

'Charlotte will surely consider your request' George stared at him in confusion wondering who else he had in mind

Adrian hissed loudly, scoffing in disgust when he remembered her cheap trick of seduction

'So who do you have in mind' George asked getting confused about the whole drama

Adrian released a long breath and then narrated the whole episode to George, he laughed out loud when he heard the advice Adrian gave Alyssa

'Do you have her phone number? George asked

'Yes, it should be in the document' Adrian replied looking lost

'I have a plan' George smirked after hearing the whole story, Adrian smiled leaning closer

'Baby what the hell happened to you?' Alyssa best friend, Sophie, exclaimed staring at Alyssa whose face was stained with dry tears

'I was fired this morning' Alyssa hiccupped releasing another fresh set of tears

Sophie drew Alyssa closer stroking her hair calmly, whispering assuring words in her hair till she stopped crying. Her stomach growled again making Sophie chuckle

'I made spaghetti, care for some?' Sophie asked heading towards the kitchen

'Yes please' Alyssa answered tiredly as she stood up from the chair heading to the bathroom to wash away the stains on her body

'What are your plans now?' Sophie, asked Alyssa who seems to be in a rush to consume the whole food

'I will just continue my job hunt' Alyssa answered scooping a large quantity of spaghetti into her mouth

Alyssa phone rang disrupting their conversation as she rushed to pick it up; she stared at the screen and saw it was an unknown number

She pressed the answer button placing it on her ears immediately

"Hello, who am i speaking with?' Alyssa sounded curious praying it was for good news

'My name is Dennison from Adrian Enterprise, you have been offered the position of the secretary' the cool professional sounded over the phone

'Alyssa stared at the phone screen not believing what she just heard

'Hello young lady, are you still on the line? The professional voice sounded impatient

'Y....e...ss please' Alyssa stuttered

'You can resume anytime you are ready' the professional voice concluded ending the call immediately

Alyssa stood dumbfounded on the spot pinching her severally to sure she wasn't dreaming

'Sophie i got the job' Alyssa squealed happily rushing to meet her best friend

'Congratulations bestie' Sophie giggled happily as they both did their funny shikira dance

THE NEXT DAY

'How do i look?' Alyssa giggled slaying with the outfits and shoes she borrowed from Sophie

She was putting on a black pencil skirt with a white fitted tucked inside; her feet were graced with a pair of beautiful black heels. He tangled golden hair flowed freely and her face glowing under the light makeup

'Girl you look hot' Sophie whistled making Alyssa blush

"All thanks to you" Alyssa pouted her lips making Sophie Chuckle

'You should leave now and also keep the clothes and shoes they look good on you more' Sophie said as Alyssa rushed to give her a big hug and a peck on her cheeks

Alyssa rushed out of the house careful not to fall on her long heels

'Do you think this plan will work?' Adrian asked rubbing sweaty palms nervously

'Trust me baby, she will be here in a split second' George answered feeling like a super hero

Adrian at the sound of baby making weird faces as George burst into laughter

"Rate my fake voice' George asked proudly flipping his short black hair

'It was terrible, like a lost cockroach' Adrian teased him applying perfume on his expensive suit

'Ingrate' George scoffed loudly making Adrian chuckle

'Sir a lady is here for the secretary post' Charlotte bowed her head making Adrian turn his head immediately

Bring her in' Charlotte folded her fist before walking out

'I told ya, my plans never fails' George did a little dance before stepping out of the office

Adrian face broke into a smile as he heaved a sigh of relief, a knock on the door brought him back to reality, he adjusted himself on the chair before answering

Alyssa stepped into his office looking graciously beautiful, his breath ceased for a moment as he refuse to believe that it was the same lady he insulted some moments ago

'Hello sir' Alyssa tucked her hair behind her ear shyly when she saw how Adrian drooled at her

'Good day young lady' Adrian answered going back to his bossy manner

'I'm here because the company offered me the job of a secretary' Alyssa smiled showing her beautiful set of teeth

'Sorry it must have been a mistake' Adrian replied not wanting to give in easily

Alyssa fell in disappointment; she knew it was a mistake coming back to his company

'Why can't i get the job?' Alyssa asked holding back the tears threatening to fall

'Do i need to remind you?' Adrian smirked enjoying his game of teasing

Alyssa shakes her head sideways refusing to be embarrassed again. Not wanting to ruin her makeup with tears, she picked up her bag cat walking out of his office

'What if i make you an offer that worth more than the secretary job' Adrian asked making Alyssa pause in her tracks
