I can tell you the exact moment my life began to fall apart, the moment where everything came tumbling down and I no longer knew what my place was in the world.
It all started nine years ago, when the Supreme One invaded our territory; he killed my parents, slaughtered every werewolf who refused to surrender and worship him, destroyed our homes, and left our entire pack in ruins.
That night, I lost everything. Since then, we have been running. Hiding. Relocating.
Always looking over our shoulders,
wondering if he has finally found us.
For nine good years, we have lived like ghosts, praying that the Supreme One would never discover where we were hiding.
The supreme one had not been fighting this war without reason. A prophecy was foretold that, on the night of the Blood Moon, the child born from the most powerful vampire and the most powerful werewolf would rise and put an end to the evil of the vampire marked by the cursed ink.
And that child was me. "Elara."
The moment the Supreme One discovered the truth, he became obsessed with destroying the prophecy before it could come true, just to protect his power and fulfill the dark dream he had carried for centuries.
So he gave the werewolf clans a choice.
My life...
Or the lives of everyone who stood against him. But they refused to hand me over.
They chose to protect me. And that decision came with a terrible price.
The Supreme One began hunting every young female werewolf around my age. One by one, innocent girls were slaughtered simply because they could have been me.
He didn't care who they were. He wasn't concerned about their families. He only wanted to find the child of the prophecy.
But I remained hidden.
When he realized he couldn't get his hands on me, the Supreme One declared war against our pack.
He sent his vampires into our territory, destroying everything in their path. Homes were burned down. Families were torn apart. All because of me. All because of a prophecy.
And while my clans fought to keep me alive, I couldn't stop wondering...
How many more people would have to die before the Blood Moon finally came?
Because when that night arrived, I would have to face the very monster who had spent nine years hunting me.
Before the Supreme One could ever get his hands on me, my mother had already made the most difficult decision of her life. She secretly handed me over to my uncle, Gael, begging him to protect me with his life.
While the supreme one thought he had successfully killed the child who's like a thorn in his flesh, not knowing that the child he took from my mother wasn't me but someone else.
I was destined to put an end to the Supreme One's reign of terror and finally give our people their freedom.
To them, I was more than their hope.
I was the future Alpha they had been waiting for.
But hope could be dangerous. If the Supreme One discovered that I was alive, he would come for us again-and this time, he wouldn't stop until he found me.
So we couldn't stay.
Uncle Gael and I left with the others, traveling far away from our former territory. We abandoned everything we knew behind us and disappeared into another land.
I wasn't running because I was afraid.
I was running because I knew that one day, I would have to turn around and face the monster who had destroyed my family at the age of twelve, and left me with nothing.
So, I couldn't rush into a battle with the Supreme One; I needed to be prepared.
And when that day came, I wouldn't be the helpless little girl he thought he had killed.
I would be ready to fight him. We had a few wolf hunters who were loyal to us; they believed in what we were fighting for, and they became our connection to the outside world.
They would make long, dangerous journeys through the rocky terrain to the city, bringing back food, medicine, clothing, and other supplies we needed to survive.
Because of them, we didn't have to leave the safety of the pack.
They were more than hunters; they were our eyes and ears. They would always bring news from the human world...news that was becoming more disturbing with each passing day.
The Supreme One's influence was spreading.
People were disappearing. Strange attacks were being reported, and entire communities were living in fear, unaware of the darkness slowly approaching them.
Vampires had learned how to blend into human society. They no longer hid in the shadows or lived only in isolated places. They walked among humans, dressed like them, worked beside them, and lived in their cities without anyone realizing what they truly were. Furthermore, they were multiplying.
The Supreme One wasn't turning ordinary people. He was far too intelligent for that.
He carefully chose the people he converted...wealthy businessmen, influential members of powerful families, celebrities, political leaders, and people who held important positions in the country.
People with money, connections, and power.
And people whose influence could help him achieve his ultimate goal.
The Supreme One wasn't simply building an army of vampires. He was building an empire. Every person he turned into a vampire, gave him another connection to the human world.
Slowly, he was placing his people in positions where they could control businesses, influence decisions, manipulate the government, and eventually take control of the entire country without anyone realizing who was truly behind it.
And the more I learned about his plans, the more I understood the true meaning of the prophecy.
If the prophecy was real, then it wasn't only the werewolves who needed me.
The humans required me too.
Even the vampires who had been forced to serve him needed me.
It was like three worlds were slowly being consumed by one man's ambition.
And somehow, I was supposed to be the one who stopped him.
I am Elara... the child of the most powerful vampire and the most powerful werewolf.
The chosen one,their only hope.
I wasn't going to fight only for revenge.
Yes, it's true that I wanted justice for my parents. I wanted the Supreme One to pay for everything he had taken from me at the age of twelve.
But there was something bigger than my pain. I was fighting for the innocent humans who had no idea what was coming for them. I was fighting for every werewolf who had spent years living in fear, hiding from a tyrant who wanted to control us. I was fighting for our freedom.
And there was one more thing I needed to uncover. The traitor among us.
Someone had betrayed my parents.
Someone had revealed their whereabouts to the Supreme One all those years ago.
And whoever that person was, they might still be hiding among us. And I couldn't afford to trust everyone.
I needed to know who had betrayed my family before I faced the supreme one.
Because if there was a traitor in our camp once, there could be one again.
And this time, I wouldn't let anyone get close enough to destroy us.

Tomorrow, I will turn twenty-one, the age I've been waiting for since I was twelve.
The birthday of the new Chosen One.
The day I will finally step into my father's place and become the new Alpha of our pack.
For nine years, my life has been shaped by a prophecy I never asked for. And I've waited for this moment, knowing that when I turned twenty-one, something inside me would awaken. The powers I was born with. The powers that could finally set my people free. I don't know what my awakening will feel like, nor do I know how powerful I'll become.
And, honestly, I don't know if I'm ready for what comes next.
But I know one thing. I am no longer the little girl the Supreme One thought he killed. I am Elara! The child of the prophecy, the chosen one longing to end the reign of the supreme one.
Long live the chosen one! Long live our savior! Long live!!
The noise outside our house woke me from my sleep. I groaned and buried my face in my pillow for a moment before slowly sitting up.
"Elara!"
I heard my father's voice from downstairs.
"The warriors are waiting for you outside."
I yawned as I got out of bed and stretched my arms above my head. "I'm coming!" I said as I quickly freshened up and walked outside. The moment I stepped through the door, loud cheers erupted. Everyone was there. Men, women, and children from different families stood around our tent, smiling and celebrating. Their excitement was impossible to miss.
"Happy birthday, Elara!" "Happy birthday, our Chosen One!" "May the Moon bless you!" May you live long!! They all bow.
I couldn't help but smile. They were looking at me with so much hope. Then Miss Ophelia stepped forward, holding a beautifully wrapped gift. "This is for you, Elara," she said, extending it toward me.
My heart was filled with warmth. "Oh, you didn't have to," I said.
"Please, accept it," she insisted, smiling warmly. "You're our Chosen One. Tomorrow is your twenty-first birthday, and we are all excited to see your powers emerge. This is the beginning of our freedom."
She turned toward the crowd. "Right?"The crowd erupted."Yes!" Yes!" "For our freedom!" "Free the clans!" "Long live the Chosen One!"
Their voices echoed through the air.
Miss Ophelia turned back to me and gently placed the gift in my hands. "So, please accept it."
I smiled, looking down at the beautifully wrapped package."You You really didn't have to," I said softly. "But thank you. I appreciate it."
The cheering continued around me, but something about the way everyone looked at me made my breath caught in my throat. They weren't just celebrating my birthday. They were celebrating what they believed I would become.Their Alpha.Their Chosen One.Their freedom.
Tomorrow, my powers were supposed to awaken. And for the first I wondered...
What if they didn't?What if the prophecy was wrong?Or worse...What if my awakening brought something none of us was prepared for?
"Hey, bitch!"
I looked up, and it was Chelsea. She never stopped bothering me with her nasty attitude. She stood in front of me, a smug smirk spread across her face as she flipped her hair over her shoulder.
I sighed. Here she is again. Chelsea has always been easy to hate. Ever since she lost her parents and sister during the war, she had blamed me for everything. In her eyes, I was the reason her family was gone.
"I knew I would find you here," she said, crossing her arms.
I remained seated in the garden, enjoying the little fresh air I could get as I deliberately acted like I didn't care about the fuck she was talking about.
Chelsea looked me up and down. "It's honestly funny how everyone still believes in a weak girl like you. They actually think you're going to save us? That you will lead us into war against the rebel vampires?" She laughed bitterly. "You?"
I remained silent, absorbing the shit she's spilling out of her mouth.
"You're nothing but a full-blooded human who doesn't even belong here."
"Enough, Chelsea," I said gently, trying to control my anger.
But she wasn't finished."Hold Hold on." She suddenly placed a finger against her chin, pretending to think. "What if you actually manage to kill the Supreme One?"
She leaned closer. "What happens then?"
"What if you replace him? How do we know you won't become the next queen of the rebel vampires? Maybe the prophecy isn't about saving us at all. Maybe you're the next monster we're supposed to fear."
"And besides..." She looked me directly in the eyes."You You don't even have powers."
Her voice became louder."I can't wait to see what happens tomorrow."
She stepped closer. "I can't wait to watch you stand in front of everyone and embarrass yourself." "You're weak, worthless."
I couldn't endure it again, and I yelled at her aggressively, "Stop it!!"
"Completely useless!" she yelled back at me louder.
"Stop it, Chelsea!" A deep voice suddenly echoed from behind us.
Chelsea froze.
I turned slightly. It was Frank. Frank is the only son of Beta Rowan and Maureen; he's a great warrior who has always believed in me.
Frank is another reason why Chelsea won't stop harassing me. She likes Frank and wants him for herself. She has warned me several times to stay away from him. Which I didn't.
Frank was walking toward us. His expression was serious. He stopped beside me and looked directly at Chelsea.
"I won't tolerate you speaking to Elara like that."
Chelsea's expression immediately changed. "Frank, I was only...
"I heard everything," Frank cut her off.She looked away. "You are always defending her."
"I will whenever it's necessary." Frank replied. Chelsea's jaw clenched. She glared at me before turning back to Frank. Chelsea scoffed."Whatever." She rolled her eyes and turned around and stormed away.
Frank sighed and sat beside me. "Don't mind her; she doesn't know who she's talking to."
A small smile appeared on my face.
"I'm used to her already."
By the way, "This is for you," he said, holding out a beautifully wrapped gift.
I stared at it for a moment before slowly taking it from him.
"What's this?" I asked, smiling as I began to unwrap it.
"Open it," Frank said.
I carefully pulled away the wrapping paper.
The moment I saw what was inside, my eyes widened. "WowWow..."I stared at it in disbelief."Oh Oh my God! A moon- kalved tooth?"
I looked up at him, completely surprised.
"Frank, thank you!" I immediately threw my arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"This is a treasure." I exclaimed.
He chuckled as he hugged me back. "I'm glad you like it."
I pulled away and looked at the gift again, admiring it. This must have been expensive," I said, shaking my head. "How much did you pay for it?"
"Nothing." Frank replied.
I raised an eyebrow. Nothing?"
He smiled proudly. Remember, I'm the son of Beta Rowan and Maureen." So...I rolled my eyes."Of Of course. You get whatever you want easily."
Frank laughed softly and said, I'm giving you this now because tomorrow I might not get the chance to give it to you.
Then, he looked at me differently this time, more seriously, and said, "Tomorrow night, you're going to become the most powerful creature, Elara."
Then, I stopped smiling.
He stepped closer and said, "You'll rise above all of us. You'll have powers none of us can even imagine." He paused, looking into my eyes."And And when you're up there..."
His voice became softer. "I don't know if you'll still remember me."
I stared at him, unsure of what to say.
"So keep this," he continued, gently pointing at the gift in my hands. "Let it be a remembrance of me." He smiled sadly.
"So that even when you're standing at the top of the world..." He touched the wolf bare gently. "You'll still be able to look down here and remember that I was once standing beside you."
Then, I smiled softly and said to him, "No matter what position I get, and no matter what happens tomorrow, remember this, Frank."
I looked straight into his eyes, holding the gift tightly against my chest.
"Nothing will ever change between us. I don't care how powerful I become or where my destiny takes me."
I smiled softly. "You're my friend, Frank. And that will never change."
I reached out and squeezed his hand.
"That's my word."
"You know, Frank..." I said quietly as we walked across the field. "Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for all my life."
Frank glanced at me.
"The day my powers will finally awaken. The day the werewolf blood and vampire blood inside me will become one."
I kept walking, but my excitement was slowly being replaced by nervousness.
Frank noticed.
"You're nervous?" he asked, walking beside me.
I stopped. For a moment, I didn't say anything. I stared across the field, watching the wind move through the grass.
Then I said, "I've been wondering what kind of powers I'll have," I finally admitted.
Frank turned to face me.
"I'm the first creature in history to be born with both werewolf and vampire blood. Nobody knows what I'm going to become."
"And that's what scares me."
"I would rather not end up like Marcus."
"Marcus?" Frank asked.
I nodded, and said, "When I read the history books, they said Marcus was born a werewolf. Then he was bitten by a vampire. His body couldn't handle the two bloodlines. Instead of becoming something powerful, he became something else..."
I looked down."A monster."
Frank remained silent.
I added, "They said Marcus became uncontrollable. He hunted humans and werewolves. He was unable to tell friend from enemy anymore." My voice trembled."And eventually, he started hunting the people he loved." I looked at Frank, fear written across my face."What if that happens to me?"
He stepped closer.
"What if I lose control tomorrow? What if the vampire blood takes over? What if I become something I can't control?"
I shook my head. And said, "I would rather not hurt the people I love, Frank."
Frank pulled me into his arms. "Come here, Elara," he whispered. "Stop imagining the worst."
I rested my head against his chest as he held me tightly.
"Nothing like that is going to happen," he continued. "You're different from Marcus. He was bitten by a vampire. And you were born this way. Your body has always carried both bloodlines."
I stayed quiet, listening to him.
"And besides," he added, gently pulling back so he could look into my eyes, "even if something like that did happen, I know you wouldn't let the darkness control you."
I held his gaze.
"You're brave, Elara. Stronger than you realize. I know you won't forget the people you love just because you become powerful." He smiled softly and said. "Because you have a kind heart. That's what makes you different."
A small smile appeared on my face. "Thank you, Frank." I hugged him tightly, holding onto him for a moment longer.
Then suddenly.....Peeeeep! The sharp sound of a whistle echoed across the garden. We both turned toward the sound.
"It's time for training," Frank said.
He looked at me with a grin. "AreAre you ready?"
I nodded. "Let's go." I grabbed his hand, and together, we ran out of the garden toward the training grounds.
For nine years, I have devoted myself to this training. Nine years of bruises, pain, broken bones, exhaustion, and injuries.
All for one thing... Our freedom.
This wasn't training for fun; it was preparation for war. Every fight was real. Every opponent was expected to give everything they had. There was no special treatment, no holding back, and no allowing your opponent to win just because you felt sorry for them.
If you intentionally let your opponent win, there are consequences. Punishment. And no excuses.
And I wasn't spared simply because I was the Chosen One. If anything, I was pushed harder. Even when I wasn't ready, I was expected to fight. Even when my body was exhausted, I had to keep going.
I was born with vampire and werewolf blood, but until my powers awakened, I was still physically human. A cold-blooded human being surrounded by creatures far stronger than me. Yet I was forced to fight them anyway.
Vampires, Werewolves, One after another.
Occasionally I was thrown into fights against opponents who could outrun me, overpower me, and heal from injuries that would have left an ordinary human bedridden for weeks.
But nobody cared, except my family and Frank, who couldn't see me in such pain, but they dared not interfere.
But I understand everything, because if I couldn't defend myself against my kind, how was I supposed to stand against the Supreme One?
Every werewolf in our pack had to go through the same brutal training.
We had to learn how to fight.
How to survive. How to protect ourselves.
And most importantly, how to protect the people beside us.
There was no room for weakness. No room for fear.
Because one day, we would have to face the enemy. And when that day came, nobody was going to ask whether we were ready. We simply had to be ready.

The evening of my birthday finally arrived.
I stood in front of the mirror, dressed completely in white.
For a moment, I stared at my reflection.
Tonight, everything will change.
I took a deep breath before walking out of the room to show my father my appearance.
The moment he saw me, he froze.
He didn't say a word.
I walked closer to him, suddenly feeling shy under his emotional gaze.
Finally, he smiled.
"You're so gorgeous, my child," he said softly. And he pulled me into a tight hug.
For a moment, I closed my eyes and rested in his arms.
"You're all grown up now," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. Then he slowly pulled away and reached for the moonstone hanging around his neck.
He held it in his palm for a moment before looking at me.
"Here," he said. He gently placed the moonstone around my neck.
"I've wanted to give you this. I promised myself you would have it when you turned twenty-one."
I touched the stone, feeling its cool surface against my skin.
My father placed both hands on my shoulders. "Child, always remember this. From now on, I will always be by your side in every battle you face. No matter how dangerous it becomes, you will never face it alone."
Before I could answer, a voice came from the doorway. "Me too."
I turned.
My mother stood there, smiling warmly.
Beside her was my sister, Elena. Yes, me too," Elena added.
My father smiled and looked at both of them. "That's right. All of us are here for you."
I looked at my family, my heart filling with love. I stepped forward and hugged them all. Dad, Mom, Elena..."
I looked at each of them. "I promise you, after tonight, I'll be the one protecting you all." For years you have protected me and sacrificed everything to keep me alive after the death of my parents, so now, let me be your protector." I gave them an assurance.
The entire pack gathered beneath the night sky. Every wolf warrior stood in formation, their faces turned toward the platform where Beta Rowan stood.
The air was heavy with anticipation.
Tonight wasn't an ordinary night.
Tonight, the full moon will rise.
And with it, the destiny of the Chosen One would finally begin.
Beta Rowan stepped forward.
His voice echoed across the gathering.
"Tonight, under the light of the full moon, on your twenty-first birthday, Elara, you will inherit the power and strength of your parents."
The crowd fell completely silent.
"When that happens," he continued, "you will become our new Alpha." He paused, letting his words sink in. "YouYou will become the bringer of freedom...not only to the werewolves and vampires, but to all of humanity suffering under the rule of the Supreme One."
With courage, I stepped forward. Every eye turned toward me. I lifted my head and spoke with courage and authority. "On behalf of my late parents, and in zaccordance with the prophecy, I swear before all of you today..."
I paused. Then continue.
"I will not fail you."
The warriors watched me intensely.
"I will fight for the freedom of every werewolf." My voice grew stronger.
"For the freedom of every vampire who has been forced to live under the Supreme One's rule." I clenched my fists.
"And for the liberation of all humanity."
The moment I finished speaking, a
A thunderous roar erupted from the crowd.
"Awooooooooo"Werewolf howls filled the night. Warriors raised their fists and weapons into the air, celebrating the promise of their future Alpha.
"For freedom!" "For the Chosen One!" "Long Alpha Elara!"
The sound echoed through the forest.
I looked toward the full moon rising above us. This was the moment I had waited nine years for. The moment my destiny would finally awaken.
