Genre: Billionaires
Betty, the eldest daughter of The White family in New York City, was sent to live in a remote countryside for eighteen years due to her parents' divorce. Upon her return, she was labeled with all kinds of nicknames: "country bumpkin," "hillbilly"... Henry, known as Mr. William in New York City, has a mysterious background and wields immense power-no one dares to offend him. Two completely unrelated people were suddenly informed one day: They. Were. Married! For Betty: "It doesn't matter who I marry, but if I don't want to, whoever dares to force me... I'll kill them." For Mr. William: Before meeting Betty: "My wife? The position of a top elite lady in New York City is not for just anyone." "No matter where she is, find that woman and bring her to me!" "This arranged marriage must be annulled!" After meeting Betty: "My wife is a top-tier hacker, and I'm shocked." "My wife is a godly doctor, and I'm in awe." "My wife is a master of the mystical arts, and I bow to her." "My wife has too many hidden identities... Suddenly, I feel unworthy of her!" For everyone else: "Mr. William, we advise you not to show off too much."

Chapter 1 My Temper Isn't Great

Betty lay on an examination bed surrounded by medical equipment, as the conversation of a man and a woman reached her ears.

Man, "The White family's eldest daughter sure is unlucky. She just arrived from the countryside to seek refuge with her family, only to be sent straight to the operating table by her father to have a kidney removed. Such a shame for a face this beautiful."

Woman, "Lower your voice. She still doesn't know she's about to lose a kidney."

The man sneered. "What's there to be afraid of? She's been injected with enough anesthetic to keep her unconscious until the surgery is over. Are the compatibility results out?"

Woman, "Yes, they are. It's a basic match for transplantation. Mr. White's condition has worsened, and we can't delay any longer. The surgery is scheduled for 7 PM tonight."

The man lifted Betty's T-shirt, his fingers lightly tracing the skin at her waist.

"Making an incision on such smooth, fair skin... What a pity."

Just as he was about to take further liberties, Betty's eyes snapped open, a chilling, murderous intent flashing in her gaze.

The woman gasped in horror. "She's awake! Hurry, give her the IV injection!"

The man grabbed the anesthetic as fast as he could and moved forward-only to be met with a swift slap from Betty.

"You think someone like you has the right to touch my body?"

The syringe fell to the floor.

Betty didn't give him a chance to react. With a sharp motion, she raised her leg and delivered a powerful kick to the man's chest.

He flew across the room in an arc, landing hard as a mouthful of blood spurted from his throat.

Sensing danger, the woman bolted for the door.

But before she could even grasp the doorknob, a sudden numbness spread through her body. A thin, needle-like object had embedded itself in the back of her neck.

Turning back in shock, she saw Betty idly twirling a uniquely designed pen between her fingers.

The needle had been ejected from inside that pen.

"You-"

That was all the woman managed to say before she collapsed, unconscious.

The man trembled in terror. "D-Don't come any closer! We're just following orders!"

Betty smirked coldly. "Stealing someone's kidney without consent? Doctor, I'm afraid your career ends here."

Not giving him a chance to beg for mercy, she picked up the anesthetic meant for her and injected it into the male doctor instead.

As she watched both of them pass out, Betty dusted off imaginary specks from her clothes.

She took a white coat from the hanger, put it on at a leisurely pace, and donned a mask. After making sure everything was in place, she calmly exited the room without drawing any attention.

Those two idiots thought they could drug her under the pretense of a DNA test. Too bad for them-she had seen it coming.

A few days ago, a man claiming to be her father had approached her, saying she was the long-lost daughter of The White family.

That man was Hazel White, a well-known figure in New York City's restaurant industry.

He had acted heartbroken upon learning that his daughter had suffered in the countryside with her mother. Full of remorse, he insisted on making it up to her.

There was just one condition-Betty had to take a paternity test at a private hospital.

Betty had no expectations for this so-called father-daughter bond. What truly intrigued her was whether Hazel had an ulterior motive.

So, she played along with their game.

And sure enough, things weren't as simple as they seemed.

Hazel didn't want to compensate her-he wanted to harvest her kidney to save the son born to his second wife.

Fine. Very well.

Betty lived by a single principle, If no one offends me, I won't offend them. But if someone wrongs me... I will destroy them.

If The White family wanted her organs, she would be sure to return the favor with an unforgettable "gift" of her own.

At the Same Time

On the top floor of Imperial Hotel, a contract signing ceremony was taking place.

The William family, with its century-old legacy, held an unparalleled position in New York City.

Its head, Henry William, was a young yet legendary figure, known to the outside world as Mr. William.

The one fortunate enough to sign a contract with The William family was none other than Iris, a genius young woman born into a prestigious family and widely recognized as a rising star in the hacking world.

She had recently won an award for designing a cutting-edge cybersecurity system, making waves throughout New York City.

Impressed by her potential, Henry had personally secured her long before she even graduated.

At the contract signing, alongside Henry's bodyguards and assistant, Iris's parents were also in attendance.

Hazel White, her father, spoke with excitement.

"Mr. William, I entrust my daughter Iris to your care from now on."

Having finally established ties with The William family, he was ecstatic-so much so that he had temporarily forgotten about his son waiting for a kidney transplant at the hospital.

Iris's mother, Maya, a former top-tier actress in the entertainment industry, wore a flattering smile.

"Imperial Hotel has implemented the security system Iris designed. With it, Mr. William can now rest easy."

Henry maintained the basic formalities. "You flatter me."

Meanwhile, Iris stole glances at the man sitting across from her.

He was devastatingly handsome, his aristocratic aura leagues beyond the wealthy young men she had encountered before.

Becoming Mrs. William was Iris's ultimate dream.

Just as the gathering was going smoothly, the lights suddenly flickered.

Mrs. White frowned. "What's going on?"

Out of nowhere, more than a dozen bodyguards moved in like shadows, instantly forming an impenetrable protective circle around Henry.

Their speed was so swift that the White family members barely had time to react.

Then-

BANG!

The chandelier, worth millions, exploded.

The blast triggered the fire alarm, and water began sprinkling down from the ceiling.

One of the bodyguards swiftly opened a black umbrella, shielding Henry from the falling water.

Meanwhile, Henry remained seated like a king, utterly composed. Not even a hint of surprise crossed his face.

Mrs. White shrieked. "Is there a fire?!"

Iris reassured her mother. "Calm down, Mom. Don't forget whose territory this is."

Imperial Hotel was a William family property, and just a few hours ago, it had officially activated the security system designed by Iris herself.

Yet, it had already failed spectacularly.

A guard quickly shut off the alarm, stopping the water flow. The bodyguard with the umbrella respectfully stepped back.

Then, the door swung open.

A tall figure strode in-Betty, wearing a black baseball cap.

Even with the brim covering half her face, her stunning features were impossible to hide.

When Henry got a clear look at her, a flicker of surprise flashed in his eyes.

It's her?

Sensing his men about to take action, Henry wordlessly signaled them to stand down.

He was curious-just what was this woman up to?

Betty spared him only a glance before completely ignoring his presence.

Mr. White was the first to react. "Betty?! What are you doing here?"

At this time, wasn't she supposed to be at the private hospital getting her kidney tested for compatibility?

Betty tossed a report onto the table.

"You said that if I proved we were father and daughter, you'd give me half of The White family's assets. The DNA results are here-so, are you going to keep your word?"

Chapter 2 The One Who Strikes First Is Cheap

Mrs. White tore the report in half. "Do you think you can take The White family's fortune with a forged document? Keep dreaming."

Betty smirked. "I made plenty of copies."

Mr. White frowned. "What do you want?"

His expression remained composed, but internally, he was panicking.

Had the situation at the hospital been exposed?

Betty noticed the unease in his eyes but made no mention of the hospital.

"The White family's success in the restaurant industry today is deeply tied to the recipes my mother left before your divorce," she stated.

"She chose not to fight because she was devastated by betrayal. But as her daughter, I won't let her suffer in silence."

"The White family is worth approximately four billion. I won't ask for much-just transfer two billion into my account within three days."

Iris was so enraged by Betty's words that she momentarily forgot to maintain her composure.

"Betty, don't be shameless! My father only took pity on you because you grew up in that impoverished countryside. Without his generosity, you wouldn't even be able to step foot into The White family's home!"

Betty cast a lazy glance at her. "And who are you?"

Iris lifted her chin proudly. "I am the rightful daughter of The White family."

Betty feigned realization. "Oh, you're the clown who built up a 'genius scholar' persona with an award-winning security system?"

Iris's eyes turned red with anger. "Who are you calling a clown?"

Betty gestured at the chaos in the room. "A real genius wouldn't turn themselves into a public joke."

Iris, unable to contain her rage, raised her hand to slap Betty.

Betty easily dodged, then swiftly landed a heavy slap on Iris's face instead.

The crisp sound snapped everyone back to reality.

Iris clutched her burning cheek. "You dared to hit me?"

Betty flexed her fingers nonchalantly. "The one who strikes first is cheap."

Mrs. White screamed in rage. "You bastard! How dare you lay a hand on my daughter?"

The word "bastard" ignited a dark fire in Betty's eyes.

She grabbed a glass of red wine from the table and splashed it right onto Mrs. White's face.

"If my mother hadn't given up her position for a shameless mistress like you, the illegitimate children you birthed with a married man would be the real bastards."

The fine wine stained Iris' mother's meticulously maintained face, making her appear utterly disheveled.

Betty had never been one to be bullied without retaliation.

Since The White family dared to scheme against her with such sinister intentions, they should be prepared for her payback.

Mr. White, furious at seeing his wife and daughter suffer humiliation, roared, "Betty! Attacking people in public-do you have no regard for the law?"

Betty scoffed. "And what is the law? Explain it to me!"

Iris' mother wiped her face and sneered. "You dare act out in Mr. William's territory? Your only fate is death."

Betty turned to Henry. "Is that true?"

Henry remained poised. "You can test it out."

Betty glanced around and found a decorative baseball bat in the corner. She picked it up and weighed it in her hands.

Under the stunned gazes of the crowd, she brazenly swung the bat and smashed every decoration in the room to pieces.

Her movements were smooth and effortless, like an artist at work.

By the time she finished, the once luxurious hotel suite was reduced to ruins.

Betty dusted off her hands and declared, "I tested it."

Henry, who had been observing with amusement, "..."

His bodyguards and assistants, equally stunned, "..."

The White family members were in shock.

Imperial Hotel was Mr. William's property. Causing such a scene here-Betty clearly had a death wish.

Henry, however, showed no signs of anger. Instead, he looked at her with mild interest, as if enjoying the show.

Five minutes later, the police arrived.

"We received a report of a disturbance in a public place."

Henry narrowed his eyes. Who called the cops?

Iris, still holding her bruised face, was oblivious to Henry's reaction.

She pointed directly at Betty. "I made the call! She's the one causing trouble."

Iris' mother chimed in, "That's right! She threw wine on me! Arrest her immediately!"

Seeing Betty standing there with a bat in hand, the officers quickly locked onto her as the suspect.

"Miss, drop your weapon and come with us for questioning."

Betty tossed the bat aside and flashed a smirk at Hazel. "The White family has been so generous to me. Out of courtesy, I'll make sure you pay a fitting price."

As the police escorted Betty away, Henry caught a glimpse of the sly glint in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Mr. White felt a sudden chill run down his spine.

If Betty was taken away, what would happen to his son, who was waiting for a kidney transplant at the hospital?

Mr. White swallowed his pride and turned to Henry with a forced smile.

"I must apologize for the unpleasant scene tonight, Mr. William. Betty may have committed serious offenses, but she is still my daughter."

"I beg you to show mercy and let her off just this once."

Iris' mother widened her eyes in disbelief. "How could you plead for Betty?"

Iris protested as well. "Yes, Dad! Betty has publicly insulted Mr. William! She must pay the price!"

Mr. White slapped Iris across the face. "Shut up, both of you!"

His wife and daughter were utterly shocked.

He turned back to Henry with a smile. "As long as Mr. William chooses not to press charges, I will compensate for all damages-at double the original cost."

Henry's lips curled into an enigmatic smile. "Mr. White, you have raised quite the daughter."

With that ambiguous remark, he turned and left with his entourage.

The White family was left staring at each other, unsure of what Henry's words meant.

Iris, still cradling her aching face, sobbed. "Dad, why did you hit me?"

Iris' mother also fumed. "Is that wretched girl more important than us?"

Mr. White's patience snapped. "Are you two idiots? Do you not realize that Donald is still waiting in the hospital for Betty's kidney?"

Iris' mother paled as realization dawned.

Betty's last words before being taken away-

A fitting price...

A price paid in blood-did she mean their son's life?

Iris' mother let out a terrified scream. "That wretched girl! What a ruthless scheme!"

Meanwhile, Betty sat leisurely in the interrogation room, crossing her legs with an air of confidence.

The officer taking her statement knocked on the table. "Be serious. Your crimes are enough to land you in jail."

Betty smiled playfully. "Someone will bail me out."

The officer scoffed. "You've caused over a million dollars in damages. Unless the hotel owner forgives you, you'll be paying for this for the rest of your life."

Before he could finish, another officer walked in and whispered something into his ear.

The officer's expression shifted in shock.

"He came in person?"

Chapter 3 Let's Talk About Divorce

Betty had been in the station for less than an hour when Henry personally arrived to vouch for her.

The officer in charge asked, "Mr. White, are you sure you want to settle privately with the troublemaker?"

Henry glanced at Betty, who remained unscathed, and gave a brief nod.

The officer hesitated. "The initial estimate of damages to your hotel exceeds a million..."

Betty twirled a pen between her fingers. "Whatever is owed, just go after my husband for compensation."

Henry's brow twitched slightly, and his gaze toward Betty took on a deeper meaning.

Once the bail process was completed, the two of them entered the elevator, one after the other.

Henry cornered Betty forcefully. "Who do you think is going to clean up the mess you made?"

Standing at least 188cm tall, Henry's sudden approach brought an invisible pressure upon Betty.

This man wasn't just incredibly good-looking; his presence carried an undeniable sense of danger.

Betty remained unfazed. "My husband, of course."

Henry raised an eyebrow. "And where is he?"

Betty's voice carried a teasing undertone. "Isn't he standing right in front of me?"

Henry chuckled in disbelief. "What makes you think I'll pay for your mistakes?"

Betty smirked. "You came here of your own accord-weren't you planning to fix the problem?"

The elevator doors opened, and Betty brushed past Henry as she stepped out.

Henry matched her pace. "You were so sure I would come?"

Betty, "Absolutely."

"And where does that confidence come from?"

"We're in a mutually beneficial partnership."

Henry, "Not for much longer."

A black business van approached and slowly came to a stop in front of them.

Berd stepped out of the driver's seat and respectfully opened the door for Henry. "Mr. William."

Henry's gaze remained on Betty. "Shall we discuss the divorce?"

Betty, "Anytime."

Henry ordered, "Get in the car."

Betty glanced at the van's make and model, a flicker of coldness flashing in her eyes before she quickly masked it.

"I get carsick. Pick a location, and I'll meet you there."

"I don't wait for people."

"If I make you wait even a second, I'll count it as my loss."

"Imperial 1908."

As soon as Henry finished speaking, Betty stopped a passing skateboarder.

She whispered something to him and handed over a few large bills. The boy took the money and readily handed her his flashy skateboard.

Effortlessly stepping onto the board, Betty waved at Henry by the van. "See you soon."

Before Henry and Berd could even react, Betty had already vanished down the street on her skateboard.

Meanwhile, Hazel had no idea that Betty had already been released.

His son was in critical condition, and only Betty's kidney could save him.

But at this crucial moment, Betty had gone and wrecked Mr. William's hotel.

Even if Hazel offered ten times the compensation, if Mr. William refused to release her, there was nothing he could do.

Sure enough, just as he and his wife and daughter were leaving the hotel, his phone rang.

It was the hospital.

Someone had reported a group of doctors at a private hospital who had illegally removed organs from healthy individuals without consent in exchange for money.

The victims' families were demanding justice, causing a huge scandal.

Now, with both witnesses and evidence in hand, the police had arrested those involved.

Including the two doctors scheduled to operate on Donald's kidney transplant.

Upon hearing the devastating news, Hazel's legs gave out, and he collapsed onto the ground.

Betty was in custody, and the doctors were in jail-who would save his precious son now?

Henry's business van arrived at Duke Club, where Betty was already waiting outside with her skateboard in hand.

1908 was Henry's private suite within the club.

Inside, he sat on the left side of the negotiation table, his expression calm as he sipped red wine.

Three days ago, he had just learned about his marriage.

His father had recently passed away due to illness, and after handling the funeral, Henry began taking over The William Family business.

While signing some legal transfer documents, the lawyer handed him a brown envelope-inside were two marriage certificates.

The lawyer explained that before passing, Henry's father had already chosen a wife for him.

Even though Henry had never agreed to it, his father had used his influence to legally register his marriage with a woman named Betty.

On the right side of the negotiation table, Betty twirled a custom-made pen between her fingers, feeling just as baffled as Henry.

Three days ago, an unexpected guest had arrived at her home-Henry, holding two marriage certificates.

When Henry questioned why her name was listed as his spouse, Betty was even more confused than he was.

If Henry hadn't shown up, she wouldn't have even known she had been married for a year.

Henry's gaze followed the dazzling movement of the pen between Betty's fingers.

The technique was mesmerizing, and the pen itself was a rare, specialized model.

After watching for a moment, Henry signaled to Berd with his eyes. "Bring it out."

Berd retrieved a document from his briefcase and placed it in front of Betty.

"Miss Betty, this is your divorce agreement with Mr. William. Please review it, and if everything is acceptable, sign at the bottom."

Betty flipped through the agreement casually.

In summary, she was to remain silent about their marriage.

Under no circumstances was she allowed to disclose that they had ever been legally wed.

As she read, one particular clause caught her attention.

"There's financial compensation for the divorce?"

Berd handed her a blank check.

Henry swirled his wine glass. "I spoke with my lawyer. The reason this marriage was arranged was because my father owed your adoptive father a favor. Since The William Family was in debt to him, I won't be stingy with compensation."

He gestured toward the blank check. "Write down whatever amount you want."

Betty asked, "Anything?"

"As long as you agree to the terms, whatever number you write will be honored."

"Then I won't hold back."

Betty twirled her pen, and in front of Henry and Berd, began writing a long string of nines on the check.

Seeing that she was about to fill the entire space, Berd cleared his throat lightly, hinting at restraint.

Betty smirked at the two men. "Am I asking for too much?"

Henry remained unfazed. "Money can always be earned back. Your happiness is what matters most."

Betty chuckled. "You're quite interesting."

With a flourish, she twirled her pen three times. A small flame flickered at the tip, instantly burning the check to ashes.

Blowing out the remaining embers, the pen's tip returned to normal. Betty then signed the divorce papers with sharp, forceful strokes.

Her signature, Betty, was as strikingly beautiful as she was-an artistic masterpiece.

Just then, a message notification sounded from Betty's phone.

Ignoring it, she pushed the signed divorce agreement toward Henry.

"If we can't be husband and wife, there's no need to be enemies. From now on, we go our separate ways. Don't worry-I'll keep our marriage a secret."

Picking up her phone, Betty put on a face mask and stood up. "I've got other things to do. See you around."

As Betty walked away, Henry called after her, "Tomorrow afternoon. Civil Affairs Bureau."
