It was supposed to be a normal day, where I would go to the ball like a modern day Cinderella, dance with some boy, but not kiss him because I longed for a love like my parents'... I would go back home and tell my loves that I had a good time, look forward to the call from my two best friends telling me how amazing it was to sleep with their crushes, and life would go on. But this is not exactly what happened.
On the night of my prom I was kidnapped twice, I ended up in the middle of a forest with a group of people who called themselves Electrons, experiments created to "save" the world, but they didn't work out and so they rebelled against the atrocities of their creator.
I discovered that I was the perfect experiment, created to be the revolutionary of humanity, killing everyone and creating a new nation from my gene, I would be the procreator, and for that, everyone would have to die.
It's a crazy story, isn't it? But it's even crazier that I fell in love with the one who should be my enemy.
Gael Robert. Fruit of an experiment, son of the creators of the Jupterian society, the society behind the genocide of the nation, our creators. He was supposed to be the prince and I the princess, but he rebelled and became the leader of the Electrons. My whole life was a lie, but him lying to me and to everyone else about his identity hurt much more.
In the end we were just rats, promoting a hunting show for mad scientists, so I decided to turn myself in, and made a promise that years later I would break... Because to promise, you have to listen to the story from two sides and find out who the enemy really is.

"So... I need answers..." I spoke trying not to interrupt her.
"Yes, then dear. Sit there on the countertop and I will give you your answers." She spoke pointing to the bench.
I sat down and she approached me with some spices and as she was cutting them, she began to speak.
"Well... A long time ago a group of scientists discovered that the human race would be going extinct, and along with them the planet would be slowly being degraded until it would completely destroy itself with no possibility of restoration. So they debated and discussed among themselves, and decided that the only way for this not to happen would be to create a perfect human being capable of replacing the current human beings. This group of scientists created a secret society called the Jupterians, where the mission of this society would be to create a new world with a new species, and to execute every margin of error that could jeopardize the restoration of the planet. Calculations and more calculations were made until the phases of the experiments began. Volunteers were inseminated in order to generate scientific babies, the idea was that this new perfect being would be able to absorb "perfect" genes with no margin for disease, with a fast and intelligent metabolism. But; the experiments didn't work out so well, defective children came out of this project, until they successfully created a single child with everything they wanted."
She paused for a moment as if thinking about how to say it.
"But; that control went so far to their heads that they didn't even notice the chaos they were causing. And they decided that when you came of age, you would be the procreator of the new generation. Some of the scientists, knowing the weight of all this, knowing that humans and even the Electrons were threatened, decided that this was wrong and had to stop because it was going too far. The parents of the perfect experiment took love of their baby, and to get the whole plan shot down they put their little girl in an orphanage, and supervised until this one was adopted and safe."
She stared at me.
"And what do I have to do with all this?" I spoke still not understanding that nonsensical story.
"You are the perfect experiment." She spoke in an understanding voice.
"Impossible." I said without at least letting her finish speaking.
"I know this story makes no sense now, but you will understand one day. Unfortunately this plan went ahead and you were created from a mother's womb, but you were modified by science and it worked. Have you ever been sick in your life?"
"That can't be. Why only now?" I asked confused.
"Because you are almost twenty now, and they are going crazy for the new generation. A group of rebel scientists got together with some Electrons, and we decided that we would kidnap the children from society so they wouldn't continue with their experiments. But; they won't stop, they keep trying and trying relentlessly, so they are hunting you now." She took the spices and put them in a pot with her back to me.
"But, do all the Electrons have the same eyes as yours? Why don't I?" I asked feeling my head go into a knot.
"Yes, only you and one other person don't have them. Those eyes come from the genetic mutation they undergo, so all the Electrons have eyes no other color than white. We all have some defects, some will die without even reaching the age of ten because they have some autoimmune disease..." She shrugged.
"That's not a solution, that's a monstrosity." I spoke now almost outraged.
"You didn't see anything." She spoke with a wry smile as she stirred the pot.
"What's their plan to end it all?" I asked.
"For them it is simple. The society is made up of representatives from various countries, the most accepted idea so far was to kill the whole society with the virus, isolating the new generation from this deadly virus."
"You have a new Hitler in power?" I spoke in horror at those words. "I will not have a child of the nation and be a procreator for anyone."
"I know, that's why we are here. We will protect you and find a way to take down the Jupterians, one by one." She spoke decisively...

"Hi, can we talk?" Jane spoke up taking a seat next to her.
"Sure, we can." He shrugged, smiling.
"I've noticed that you and Ally have been getting on a bit. She spoke thoughtfully. "You know that can't happen, son.
"Nothing is happening, Jane." Gael spoke defending himself.
"Don't try to fool me, it's obvious the feelings you have for this girl. You know this can't happen, she is their trophy, you are our symbol of resistance. You know you can't have a weak point even more so when she is the strong point of the opposition."
"It is not what you are thinking. She is not my weak point." He spoke up.
"Oh no? Have you told her who you are? Really? She could throw everything away, you know that. Robert, the plan here is to put you as a threat on the front lines, how am I going to do that? I'm holding two grenades and you know that this could end up putting our plan at risk. What if they catch you two together? What do we do here? How do we get the two of you out of there?
"She's not going to throw it all away. He said, taking a deep breath. He hated to be lectured, especially when he knew she was right.
"Oh, really? So I don't have to expect a heroic act in case we have to use violence? Don't fall in love with her, don't take that girl to bed because there is no place here for sons of the nation. You and she are the bombs that can't explode, so don't put our plan in jeopardy because of the multiplier. She is the target and you are the grenade, you knew from the beginning that this would be the case. Don't jump off now."
"I'm not jumping out, I know what I'm doing and nothing will go wrong. Just trust me." He said clenching his jaw and controlling the frustration those words were causing him.
"I trust." Jane spoke and left his side heading out of the room.
Gael knew what those words meant, he was putting the plan at risk and he knew it. But it was not easy to control his feelings for Ally. His feelings were complicated and wild and he couldn't contain them, but he would try. He had a higher purpose, he knew that because of his lineage all this was happening to innocent people, so it was his burden to save those people. Nobody knew what his story really was. No one knew why in fact he was there, and the people around him didn't know who he was. But Jane knew, so much so that she had just warned him, if people found out, everything they had planned would be ruined. They would find out, but it wasn't the right time yet!
"I could just now tell you where the Lord can stick his plans. But I will respect my companions and elders as my parents raised me." She spoke. That made me more than proud.
"What a sweet little girl, you'll be quite a mother!" He laughed. "Ah remembering children.... You know Jane, you did something that really surprised me. I really took into account the theory that says 'Creation turns against its creator.' But, not only did you prove this by turning all my creations against me, you took a piece of me and turned it against me. You've gone a bit far there, don't you think?" He stared at Jane.
"No Olavo; I didn't pit anyone against anyone, I just showed people the right side they should be fighting on." Jane spoke proudly.
