Destiny: The Winter Princess

Running through the dark and ugly looking trees that felt like they were watching me, the demons where everywhere hunting me.

fighting the demons are like fighting with your own shadow which was an impossible task.

I felt fingers running down my neck and back which sent shivers through my body.

"Destiny, join us" the demon said in a raspy voice behind me. "You are weak, destiny, join us and get the powers u seek. The Devil wants you." he added and my body filled up with goosebumps.

i gritted my teeth in annoyance and turned all around, trying to find the demon among the darkness that surrounds me.

"I guess you are messing with the wrong person" i said with a smirk as I stood still.

"leave me or die" i added after a heart beat.

I wasn't sure of what I was saying cause even the heavens know I wasn't powerful enough to fight the demons.

Different voices laughed at me mockingly and that was when i knew it the were more than one demons.

The sound of my alarm woke me up and I sat up, panting and gasping for air with sweat running down my temple.

I turn to the side to glance at my alarm clock and saw that it was 7:03am in the morning.

"My lady" The voice of Floral, my personal maid sounded in the room and I turned to look at her as she stood at the entrance of my room.

"Your bath is ready" she added with a smile and her hands in front of her white Apron.

"Thank you." i replied curtly and with a groan.

"Do you want anything else?" she asked and

I shook my head and told her she could leave.

She bowed her head and left and when i heard the door close behind her, i got up and entered my bathroom.

The steamy water was like an invitation to my sore muscles and I wasted no time to listen to its call. I took off my clothes and entered the bathtub.

Fuck, it feels great.

As I sink deeper into the water, I couldn't help but think about the dream I had last night.

I took up to twenty minutes in the bath tub.

"My lady" i heard flora say. "are you in there? " she asked.

That brought me out of my day dream and I snap my eyes open.

"oh yes just a mintue " i replied getting out of the tub and on the tiled floor. As i entered my room, i found flora next to my bed with a beautiful strapless white gown in her left arm.

"Do you like this one my lady?" she asked, shaking the silky material a little.

"Yes, it's lovely. You really know my taste flora" i said with a wink and she blushed.

"White is my favourite" i added.

i have always loved white because it matches with my beautiful long white hair.

My name is Destiny and I will be turning 18 tomorrow. I am the only daughter and princess of cloud kingdom.

My dad is a worrior, a powerful fighter and he always tells me that i will be a great warrior and princess and to always use my power for good.

My mother died when I was just a child in the hands of a demon. Dad still blames himself for not being there with mom when she needed him but he was fighting a war when it happened.

I was only six as i watched how the demons tore through mom's flesh, sucked the blood out of her and eat her brain and when one was about to get me, dad saved me and killed them and since then, I vowed to kill all demons even lucifer himself.

Tomorrow was a special day for me as it would be my Birthday. The cloud kingdom was being decorated with beautiful flowers and I stood at the hallway, staring out the window and admiring the beauty of my kingdom.

I have never once left the walls of the castle because it's not safe, dad warned me to stay within our Kingdom walls because the demons have been growing rapidly.

I also wasn't allowed to have any friends which made life her boring. Since the night of my mother death, Dad made sure I kept safe and hidden in the castle. in fact, people haven't seen me apart from some workers that works in the castle.

People only see me when there is a secret Occasion or when special guests are invited to the castle like the Kings and Queens of other Kingdoms.

i will be turning 18 tomorrow all supernatural powers i mean teen powers begin from the age 16 to 18

For some days now, i haven't been sleeping well because I have been having nightmares. I Didn't tell father a word about this, but the dream I had last night kept hunting me and troubling me throughout the day that I got up from my bed and made my room into dad's chambers.

"dad" i called while pushing his room door slowly.

Dad was seated in front of his Desk with a book of how to Kill demons on his right hand.

He turned his head towards me and took off his glasses. "come sit " dad said with a little smile playing on his lips.

I noded my head and while walking towards him,I took a seat and placed it next to his. I peaked a little at the open book with a frown and dad quickly closed it and pushed it to the side. I raised my head up to look at him and gave him a confused and weak smile.

"What's wrong princess? " dad asked with his brow furrowed as he smoothen my white hair. He looked so concerned because he knows I never came to his room late at night. out his words and givind me a concern look.

"I have been having nightmares, not sleeping well " i said with a shaky breath.

"whats the dream all about, Honey?" he asked with a warm smile, smoothing his hand through my hair once more in a comforting way.

"It's demons dad. They keep hunting me in my sleep, telling me th-that lucifer want me " I told him looking up at him nervously.

"what do the want from me?" i added as a sob broke out of my lips.

Dad furrow his brows, rubbing his temple and looking at his table like his looking for an answer there but we both knew there wasn't.

he released a sigh and then turned his head to look at me.

"Don't worry about it princess, its going to be fine" he replied with a tight lip smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

"Tommorrow, i'll be taking you to Mr williams for portions. it will help you sleep better and keep the Nightmares away" he added, knitting my shoulder and a comforting way and I hesitantly nodded.

I felt like dad was hiding something... that he knew something but instead, I decided to not ask.

"dad," i said with a small smile standing up and dusting an invisible dirt from my Pj. "I'll be going to my room now" I kissed dad on the cheek and then walked to the door.

"Happy birthday dear i advance" i heard him say.

"Thanks" i replied looking back at him.

I laid on my bed with a sigh as I looked up at the white ceiling. It didn't take long before I fell asleep.

Everyone were busy preparing for my birthday I was in the dress room where the makeup artist just did a final touch on my face.

I got up from my seat and walked to the mirror on the wall. I gasped in awe at how I looked. I smiled at my reflection and did a little twirl. The yellow mermaid gown hugged my body at the right places. I flatten my palm on the soft silky material.

I look so fucking beautiful... No, scratch that, I felt beautiful.

"You look beautiful my lady" Lilly, the makeup artist said looking at me with admiration.

"Thanks Lilly." I replied proudly with my chin raised high.

When everyone left, I took in a deep breath before pushing the door and walking down the hall. Today would be the first time the Kingdom gets to see in twelve years and I was a nervous rack.

I stood behind the closed door that separated I and the guest that were in the ballroom. The sound of shoe against the marble floor made me turn my head around to see dad in a blue tux walking straight to me with a large smile on his face.

"You look beautiful, my princess" He mumbled against my temple and I close my eyes and released a soft sigh.

"Thank Dad" I said with a grin.

Soon, the door was pulled open, and I walked. With my left hand curved around dad's, we walked walked down the flight of stairs.

All eyes where on me and whispers filled the large room.

She's beautiful.

Is she the princess!!

I don't like her.

Those were the words that filled my ears as I walked pass the people.

When we got to the middle of the ballroom, I stood awkwardly, not knowing where to go or who to talk to since I don't have any friends.

Fuck! this was way harder than i thought.

The were so many people looking at me and I felt really shy and uncomfortable.

Dad cleared his throat and the room became silent that even if a needle was to drop on the floor it would be heard by all.

"We all gather together to celebrate the special day of my daughter, the princess of cloud kingdom. Today, Destiny turns 18"

Dad finished his little speech and the crowd cheered and clapped.

People came forward and congratulated me and I answered them with a smile. When over seventy people came to greet me, I became exhausted and excused myself from the group that had gathered around me.

I went over to the bar to get myself a drink. I gulped down a glass of orange juice when I heard someone from behind me.

"Would you care for a dance, Princess Destiny?"

I looked back and I saw a young blonde guy standing behind me with his hand outstretched. I almost gasped at how handsome he was. His blonde hair was slick to the back and his pumped pink lips stretch in a half smile- half smirk.

"Uhm s-sure" I stuttered nervously while tucking a strand of white hair behind my ear and also taking his hand in my right hand.

"My name is kelvin" He said tightening his hand around mine as we moved t the middle of the room to dance.

"I'm destiny" I replied putting my hands on his shoulders.

"Oh, I know" He chuckled and I smiled.

We dance quietly and he kept looking deeply into my eyes like he was searching for something. My heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest from how hard it was beating.

"You dance real well princess" he said putting my hands on his chest and mine did a Summersault.

"Thanks. You dance beautifully too" I told him and gently bite my lips.

I wasn't doing it to seduce him or anything, I was just really nervous to be dancing with a boy and not just any boy, a handsome one at that.

"Your white hair makes you look cute" he added

"Thanks"

I looked over Kelvin's shoulders and saw dad walking towards us. I stopped dancing and Kelvin looked down at me in worry. He turned his head to see what- who I was staring at.

"Your majesty" Kelvin bowed his head and Dad nodded.

"Destiny come with me, I have something to discuss with you" dad said and I became worried that something bad had happened.

"I will be back" I said to kelvin and he nodded with a smile.

Dad and I walked away from the crowd to a more silent place.

"Dad what's wrong" I finally asked.

He released a sigh and ran his hand through his hair. "Destiny, I added your name among the list of teen supernatural academy and the picked you" he said and my eyes widen.

" if u are picked among the best seven, you will get to fight demons outside the kingdoms. when I was your age, I was picked I wasn't alone. I am sure you will do great" he added

I just stoodd there lost in my own thought.

It took about three seconds before everything clicked together.

"You did what!!" I whisper-yelled and a few heads turned our way. I took in a few breaths trying to calm my nerves. "Dad did I ever told uou I would like to join the academy? I mean, yeah, I want to- but not now! And why would you do that without asking me first?" I asked, tears of frustration gathering at the coner of my eyes.

"And we don't even know what my gift is. Why would you do that to me... "

Most people wouldn't understand why this is frustrating to me. Knowing that I was going to an academy filled with gifted people, I would be left out. I'd always felt left out in almost everything.

Before dad could ulter a word, i stomped out of the hall with a single tears rolling down my face. I couldn't deal this shit so left the castle to clear my head.

I walked down the dirty road with large trees for minutes and my yellow gown trailed along the ground. I kicked a harmless pebble and it hit a tree that was when I finally loked up.

"Shit" I cussed under my breath,turning around to see where I was. It was quite and dark and the branches looked like they were monsters trying to grab me.

I regret leaving the castle.

"What do I do" I said to myself.

"Are u lost princess" A husky male voice said and I held my breath in fear. I looked each sides, trying to find the source of the voice but couldn't.

"Is anyone there" I said shakily. I was so scared that he might be a Demon out to get me.

Dumbass me just had to leave the castle.

"Hi" The voice said again but this time, I knew where it was coming from. A young boy came out from the back of a tree with his hands in his pockets.

"Oh my god" I gasped, my left hand flying to my mouth to Conceal the choking sound.

Is he a Demi god?

I stared at him, his prefectness and beauty was undescribable. Gods, he looks like an angle, I thought still staring at him.

"What are you doing here wondering around in this creepy place" he said in the most charming way

His voice was so charming and alluring and he has this beautiful green cat eyes that made me look deep into them. On his head was a long red hair that was packed lazily at the back of his neck and he had a black hoodie on with a black snickers and black jeans.

He looked like the Devil, a sexy devil that is.

"Hum I-I'm lost." I said, stumbling on my words before blinking and cussing myself for the mistake.

"Can you show the way back to cloud castle or... take me there?" I asked, holding on to the gown. He stared at me for a minute then nodded.

For up to fifteen Minutes, we said nothing to each other as well walked through the dirt road until I finally decided to break it.

"You live around here right?" I asked, turning my head with a slight frown to the side to stare at his features.

"No" he replied curtly not even sparing me a glance which made my frown deepening to a scowl.

I decided to remain silent because I could feel that he wasn't the type of person who likes to make long conversation.

"Oh I can see my castle from here." We stopped and I turned around to face him, my gown pooling at my feet. "Would you like to follow me so father will reward you for bringing me back here safe?" I suggested but he turn down my offer.

"No thanks. I'll be heading back home now" he replied coldly and before I could protest he was gone.

Days went by and I have accepted the fact I'll be going for the training If I really want to save my people within and outside cloud kingdom.

Tomorrow, I would be leaving my kingdom in the sky. Dad told me that in the academy, we'd be trained for one to three months and I shivered from the fear of failing but brushed it off. I hope to be among the best since I knew the will be lot of teens so I'll train my ass off.

I was dressed in a red short gown with my white hair tied in a ponytail. I glanced at myself in the mirror and released a sigh. This is it, I'm really leaving the Kingdom I knew for eighteen years and going to the academy.

"Oh my princess, you look beautiful. Are you ready?" dad said from the door with a smile on his face.

"yes, I guess" I replied with a sigh.

" I'm sorry. Destiny if you don't want to be a demon fighter, it's fine by me" dad said with a slight frown on his face.

" it's okay dad, I'm doing this cause mom will want me too. And I want to be chosen dad... I won't let you down" I told him with my chin slightly raised up.

" I will always be proud of you my princess" he mumbled and I smiled at that. " I love you" he added and I replied with a "I love you too"

I sat in the chariot with two bodyguards while the four winged horses flew through the sky and towards land. I released a sigh as I admired the beautiful, colorful clouds.

I felt free... For the first time, I felt what freedom tastes like.

The ride down to land was short lived through as the Chariot pulled up in front of a very large gate with walls so high that one couldn't climb or jump from. I jumped down from the Chariot and moved towards the gate.

"Wow.." I mumbled to myself in awe.

The gate suddenly beeped and opened on it's own which startled the daylight out of me.

I walked in and saw some many different people... species walking all around the hallway and none spared me a glance.

"Hey!" I heard a female voice calling and I looked to the left and saw a girl walking towards me.

She had bright blonde hair with blue eyes and she was wearing black jeans with a white crop top. I could tell that she wasn't royalty because well, she wouldn't be dressed like that and definitely not popping a bubble gum in her mouth.

"Hi" I replied back with a wave.

"Your new here" she stated, crooking her head to the side.

"I can show to our master!" She added and I release a sigh while adjusting my backpack.

"oh, thank you " I told her with a genuine smile.

She held my hand and led me around the noisy hall.

"What power do u possessed" she suddenly asked and I became uncomfortable.

"Oh, um, I dunno yet " I replied awkwardly and she just gaze at me with amusement.

"But I'm from cloud kingdom. And my father can control the whether" I added, trying to defend myself as we turned to the left and almost bumped into someone. "sorry.." I mumbled quietly while he gave me a glare.

"Then you have the gift to control the whether also " she said giving me a smile and I giggled.

"Really?" I asked her.

"Sure, i mean since your father can control the whether, you should too. " She said and I nodded.

"So you are royalty?" she asked and I nodded once more.

"What's your name?" she asked again and I replied with a simple "Destiny".

"And what's your name?" I added looking at her face with curiosity.

"I'm Rachel" she replied with a wink

"How long are we going to get there" I asked, "my legs are shaking already" I added with a groan.

Rachel giggled and turned her head to look at me "Do not worry we are almost there,"

We stopped outside a door with lesser students roaming around.

"I'll be waiting outside" Rachel said and I nodded.

I walked in and saw a young man sitting on a chair writing a note on his table and I cleared my throat to grabbed his attention.

"Good day sir. I'm new here from cloud kingdom and I will like to get my room number and keys" I told jin when he finally looked up.

"Destiny right?" The master asked with a brow raised as he relaxed on his chair.

" yes" I replied with a curt nod.

"Oh, i have been expecting you" he said while getting up and moving to his left side and pulles a drawer open.

"These are your room keys and your dorm number is written on the paper. Make sure to not lose it" he added giving me a note. I collect it then thanked him and left his office.

I saw Rachel waiting patiently for me. "Let me see your room number" she said looking at the note in my hand.

"Oh my goodness. We are room mate!" Rechel shouted jumping up and looking happy about being my room mate and I laughed at how silly she was being.

At least I got a new friend now I thought looking at her as she smiled happily.

"So let's go" she said grabbing my hand and I huffed. She seems like the touchy type and I guess I have to start getting use to that.

" I can turn small, that's how my power works. I'm a fairy" she added and my eyes widen in surprise.

"Wow so you are from a a fairy world. Right?" I asked her.

"No" Rachel simply said but before I could ask more questions, she cut me off.

"We are here" she said and I quickly put the key in the keyhole and the door clicked open.

The room was big and beautiful, painted with orange color and in the large room sat two queen bed that faced opposite each other.

I dropped my stuff on one of the beds and flopped down on it with a sigh.

"That's my bed," she said, "but don't worry I'll sleep on the other one" she added

" its beautiful here when are we having dinner because I am so hungry" I said and at that moment, my stomach grumbled.

Rachel released a small laugh and threw a pillow at me "We have dinner by 7pm, " she replied. "So let me show you around to buy us some time" she suggested.

I nodded and got up from the bed, I was the first to go out the door and when I did, I mistakenly bod on someone and I fell to the ground.

When I looked up, I gasped staring at his face. it's him, my angle..

beautiful cat eyes. He doesn't seem surprised to see me and walked passed me like I didn't exist.

Rachel help me up but I was still staring at his retreating figure in shock and I wonder why he acted like he doesn't know me.

"Well, that was rude" Rachel said with a frown looking at the hall he just passed through.

"But cute though... And why are you staring at him, Destiny " she asked curiously.

"I know him... Kinda" I replied with a frown of my own.

"oh...." Was all Rachel said before we continued on our walk to the cafeteria.

When we pushed the red cafeteria door open, I saw lot of teen we were much if I'm not mistaken, we are up to a hundred.

"When is training?" I asked Rachel as we looked around for a free table.

"Every morning by 7:00am" she mumbled while racing her hand through her blonde locks.

We spotted one and Rachel told me to seat there while she got our food. I eat quietly, thinking about tomorrow's training. The thoughts of failing and making a fool out of myself flood my head but I cleared them out.

I was doing this for mom. To avenge my mother's death.

A young man walked inside the big cafeteria and everyone stood up.

"We are happy young master to see you in our mist" everyone said at once while I was still seated, confused to what as happening.

"uhm, what just happened and who is that?" I asked Rachel once she sat down.

"Oh, that's young master... I don't really know his name but he will be the one training us" She told me with a bread in her mouth.

Once we were done, we went back to our room since it was already late. Rachel was already faat asleep but I couldn't sleep so I decided to take a walk.

I tiptoed out of the room and walked down the big hall as I passed different rooms. I just kept walking, looking at the beautiful structure and painting out the Academy.

I might just love it here I thought to myself.

When I was done roaming the silent hall, I went back trying to find my way to my room when I heard a young girl scream.

"I looked to the left and saw a dark room. I must have heard the sound coming from there" I mumbled lowly.

I was very curious to see what was happening there but a part of me said not to go and the other suggested I should. Maybe my curiosity get the best of me..

I took in a deep breath and moved slowly to the room with my heart beating so hard in my chest, I could hear it.

When I got to the door, i opened it slowly and what I saw scared the hell out of me.

I saw the big ugly demon sucking the brain out of a girl about of about 17 years. Her blood was all over the place, she was wailing in pain as the beast shoved his fingers through her chest removing her heart out of her body.

I was too shocked to move, thinking if I make a step, its might hear my movement. I couldn't breathe. I started cursing myself, if I only knew how to use my fight I could have gone but I don't wanna die.

I felt a hand tapping my back and my body instantly froze. I closed my eyes in fear that the demon might have shifted to my back and thoughts rushed into my head.

What if it's the Demon?!

Am I going to die?!

Will I never see my dad again?!

Maybe if I stay this way, it will go away.

When I could finally muster a little bit of courage, i turned my head a little to my back and I saw him... my angle.

"Don't go inside" he said in his deep angelic voice. "That room its not protected with the powder" he added, glaring at the Demon still in front of us.

" wh.. What about the girl she's gonna die" I whispered with a shaky breath.

"She's dead already. Let's leave this place before the demon notices our present." he said holding my hand.

We left there I couldn't get the scene out of my head... the blood and all. I thought this place was protected by magic! How did it know get in?!

"Not all the rooms here are protected with the magic powder" he said like he just read my thought abd I nodded still feeling scared .. I faced him

" do you know how this demons came or how they exist" I asked him curiously

" the are DEVIL servant" he answered with a sad smile

"Don't you know that" he added looking surprised.

" I don't know. Dad never told me" I replied with a sigh

"So what will he do" I asked

"Who??. You mean Master. He warned everyone not to go inside that rooms " he replied

"Your name" I finally asked him after all this while. Since the first time I saw him, I had always wondered what his name was.

"Lex"

I worded out his name from my lips and it quite fits him " I'm destiny" I told him with a slight grin.

"I'll walk you to your room cause I can feel the way your hand is shaking" lex said looking down at our joined hands.

"Yeah " I nodded my head in agreement.

We walked beside each other and I kinda felt good about it.

"You really like getting lost huh" he said with a chuckle and I smiled. "Not really"

" where are you from?" I asked him.

"Nowhere " he replied curtly with a frown and I furrow my brow.

"Did I say anything wrong?" I asked glancing up at him.

"No destiny. Just don't ask me where I'm from ever again" he said sounding serious.

After that, we said nothing to eachother untill we got to the door to my room.

"Good night" I said and he nodded and left and also left wonder what I did wrong .

I woke up due to the sound of my alarm and released a groan before taking a pillow and placing it over my head.

"Come on get up" Rachel said with a laugh as she yanked the pillow away from my head. Hesitantly, I opened my eyes and looked at the figure above my head.

"Wow you are all dressed up" I said with a smile.

"Ain't you going for training? So get your body up right now" Rachel said more like a command

I went to the bathroom took my shower didn't take much time.

"I saw a demon yesterday" I said facing her and drying my hair.

"You kidding right" she laughed.

"It's killed a girl. I saw it all" I replied seriously.

"She might have gone to the dark room. No one is allowed to go there or only if you have a death wish" she said with a frown on her lips.

"I feel so bad for the poor girl. Maybe she's new I guess" she added with a sigh.

We left the room and when we got to the training hall everyone was prepared holding a sword.

I saw three people bring out the corpses of the dead girl .

People don't seem surprised about it so I leave it be and went to the master and he handed me my sword.

"Listen everyone you will be paired with someone to fight. And with the sword you are holding, it will give you the strength and power you need so I have the list of people here who will be paired together."

"Rachael and max" Master called and they both stepped forward.

"Wilson and anna"

"Destiny and lex" When Master said his name, my head snapped up so fast that I almost gave myself a whiplash.

When I heard I was pairing with lex, I felt happy and unhappy.

Rachel went forward to fight and she fight with deep strength but max still got through so she lost.

Its was my turn to lex walked in not even sparing me a glance like usual.

He started fighting he closed his eyes and fire started coming out from his sword. He opened his eyes and I saw it was all red I just stand there like an idiot and didn't even know what I was supposed to do

And right infort of me he transform into a deadly dragon.
