Lakshmi's POV

"Well, what do you want me to do? His condition isn't getting any better" I overheard my father yelling at my mum. I knew he was referring to my brother and they seemed to be in a heated argument because of him.

"That doesn't mean we should give up...whether you like it or not he is still our son" my mother answered back in the same tone he spoke to her.

"He slept with a nurse there" my dad revealed to my mum.

"Well as you said he slept with her...did she complain that he was r*ped...if not then what is the problem there?" My mum fluttered her eyes.

"Are you supporting what he did? Did you enjoy it when he did it to you?" My father asked my mum a very ridiculous question.

"Get my son out of that hospital...let's find a solution. He has been there for so many weeks and he isn't recovering so get him out of there!!" my mum yelled.

"He isn't even your real son. I don't know why you are so bothered about him," my father grumbled.

"What did you just say?" My mum forced him to face her.

"Nothing" my dad grabbed his jacket and headed out of the room so I quickly hid away before he could see me.

Nothing makes any sense any more. My brother has been in that hospital for more than seven months and he is not getting any better.

My parents as usual are acting as if nothing is happening...I just hope I don't lose my mind sooner or later.

"All these won't be happening if you just get me the necklace" Alyssa appeared in front of me.

I had become used to her paying me random and unwanted visits all the time. Trying her best to torment me in the most possible ways and she has been doing well.

"Alyssa if your are so powerful then get the f*ck out of my house and go get that necklace yourself.

I cannot have you coming into my house anytime you please or maybe you are just a powerless witch" I mocked her and chuckled.

"Lakshmi you are definitely trying to cross your boundaries" she pointed her index finger at me.

"If there is anyone that is crossing boundaries here then it is you. You are so annoying and you lack self respect.

What did Mia ever do to you? Because as far as I can remember you were the one that started this stupid thing you might think is a war.

She isn't even attacking you and you are putting in so much effort and sweat to get her necklace...Tsk Tsk Tsk...it is such a pity" I mocked her even more. Even if I was helpless I could still get on her nerves.

"Accept the fact that you are always going to be the loser and Mia is always going to be a thousand steps ahead of you in everything" I rubbed more salt in her wounds when I noticed she had begun to fume with anger.

At this point, I really don't care if she was going to slam her head on the wall or something...she deserved each and every word I said to her.

"You will regret this," she threatened.

"Let me guess you will control my brother and make him sleep with someone else. Or maybe fight someone...you have fun and do you girl.

Here is the TV remote just in case you get bored" I handed her the TV remote and waved my fingers in the air.

I knew she felt belittled and bad but deep inside I felt worse.

Mia's POV

"Your friend is in really big trouble. She is trying her best to defend you Mia, you will have to help her" Arthur spoke gently to his daughter who seemed to be in a world of her own.

"I know but I don't know how I am going to help her. How I'm I going to get her out of this mess?" Mia said in almost a whisper as she tapped her foot on the floor and fixed her gaze at random objects.

"You said that I cannot help her...I cannot break the spell that Alyssa had cast on her brother. Only Alyssa can do that" Mia added.

"Then you have to make her do it" Arthur smirked and looked at his daughter.

"How?" Mia asked the same question for what felt like the one thousand times.

"Alyssa has promised Lakshmi to free her brother of her spell if she hands your necklace over to her" Arthur revealed to his daughter as he had been monitoring Alyssa.

"I will not give her my necklace" Mia caged her necklace with her hand trying to protect it.

"You will," Arthur smirked.

"But..." Mia tried to protest but her father stopped her.

"If your friend can take such a risk for you then why can't you do the same. Plus you will give her your necklace but not really it" Arthur words seemed to have calmed her down

"A replica?" Mia asked.

"My daughter is so smart...yes a replica" Arthur smiled as he so much wanted to cup her face in his palms but he couldn't.

"That is even more dangerous than giving her the original one. Won't she find out?" Mia was very scared about what Alyssa would do once she noticed that the necklace is a fake.

She was scared that she would possess Scott agai or even worse someone else close to her.

"No she won't Mia...well she would later on but that would have been after she must have released Scott from her spell.

She won't be able to cast that spell on him...you will have to make her confess that she will never possess him again.

Witches are very well...I don't know how to explain it but that should work out just fine for us" Arthur smiled at his daughter.

"Where are you going now?" Mia tried to stop him from disappearing.

"I have to go watch Alyssa's mom just to make sure she doesn't try anything funny" Arthur disappeared.

At lakshmi's house; In Lakshmi's room

"Mia what are you even saying to me? How can you decide to give Alyssa your necklace? If you do that then Alyssa would..." Lakshmi was protesting...protesting couldn't even qualify how aggressive she was sounding.

"You have to calm down" Mia interrupted her and then something dawned on Lakshmi. She wasn't the one who told Mia about Alyssa's outrageous demand so how did Mia find out?

"My father told me" Mia read Lakshmi's mind and answered her question even before she could ask.

"Hmmn" Lakshmi sighed before she closed her eyes very slowly and buried her face in her palms like she usually did when she was disturbed.

"You don't have to worry she will be here soon with your brother. I already informed her that I was willing to give her the necklace" Mia reminded Lakshmi.

The room just screamed in silence because on one hand Mia was thinking about why her father hadn't shown up with the fake necklace yet and on the other hand Lakshmi was busy thinking about the awful things Alyssa would do when she finally gets her hand on the necklace.

"Okay let's get this over with. I don't have much time. I am a very busy witch you know" Alyssa rolled her eyes and folded her hands as she appeared in front of the girls.

"We know" Lakshmi raised one of her eyebrows and pouted her lips.

"So where is my brother...I thought you needed him to be present or something?" Lakshmi asked and stood up from the chair she was sitting on.

"Uhh... I knew I forgot something" Alyssa growled and disappeared again before she appeared with Scott...he looked so tired and half dead.

"What did you do to him, you witch?" Lakshmi was angry and ready to attack Alyssa.

"I'm in charge here" she blew a heavy wind that made Lakshmi fall on her bed.

"Both of you stop it. You are here to free Scott from your spell and you are here to receive your brother so stop getting at each other's necks' ' Mia scolded the two girls.

She closed her eyes very tightly and took off her necklace...her original necklace...her father wasn't able to make it in time to swap it and since she had already passed the message to Alyssa that she is going to give her the necklace...Mia was left with no other choice than to take off her original necklace.

But she remembered what her father told her.

"I will give you the necklace but only if you say that you will never be able to cast a spell on Scott or any other member of Lakshmi's family" Mia jiggled the necklace in the air as if she was using it to call a puppy.

"How funny.... so autistic Mia is now bargaining with me hmmn funny...oh well so long as I can still taunt you then we have a deal" Alyssa admitted as she began to murmur some words to everyone's hearing.

"You didn't mention it in your chant?" Mia interrupted her and reminded her at the same time.

Alyssa opened her eyes and dropped her floating hands from the air to look at Mia. She scoffed and started to murmur each and every word Mia made her admit earlier.

Alyssa smiled as she looked at Scott who now fell completely unconscious.

"You will have to take him back to that mental hospital somehow and get your parents to let him go.

He is fine now but he won't have any memories of the things I made him do...he won't even remember me. As a matter of fact I don't even exist to him" Alyssa smiled as she snatched the necklace from Mia.

"That's even better" Lakshmi rolled her eyes just before Alyssa disappeared.

"Can you teleport us there Mia?" Lakshmi shook her friend's hand.

"No I can't...I don't have my necklace" Mia was very sad...

"Dad" she looked at her father standing in front of her though only she could see him.

"Here is your necklace...I will explain later" he threw the necklace on the floor and she picked it up before she teleported herself and Scott to the hospital and then she teleported back to Lakshmi's room.

Alyssa's POV

I am going to make my mum swallow all the awful words that she had said to me before now...didn't she say I couldn't do anything right? Well when I show her this then she would regret it.

I was so happy as I played with the necklace while I sat on the couch in our sitting room waiting for my mom.

"You are back" I sprung up from the couch joyfully.

"Yes and why won't I be back...and what is making you smile like you just won a lottery?" My mother looked at me suspiciously... as she scribbled her face.

I used my hands to fan myself and jiggled the necklace in mid air.

"OH MY GUSH" my mom gasped. She couldn't believe it.

"You got the necklace?" She asked and snatched it from my hand.

"Yes I did" I smiled and jiggled my hips with my hands on my waist.

"So you aren't useless after all?" My mum arched an eyebrow and that made me kind of confused.

"Did you for once think that I was useless?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Hmmn let's leave that and celebrate this little victory of yours" my mum was so excited.

"No, let's just test its powers first," I suggested with a huge smile.

"You are right about that. There is an invisibility spell I have been wanting to try out...I have mixed the portion and all that is left for me to do is to add this necklace" my mum remembered and I escorted her to her potion room.

"I have never been more proud of you in my entire life. '' My mum stirred the big metallic pot with a wooden spoon.

"WOAH!... I have never seen any of your potions bubble like that before '' I moved away from the pot as some of its contents were pouring on the floor...the pot contents were over boiling.

"Yes because this is the most powerful spell ever...and it needs the most powerful and most indestructible item to complete it" my mum explained and looked at the necklace she was holding.

"It's time," she declared.

Banshee's POV

Finally everything was falling into place. I threw the necklace into the boiling pot and as expected the whole thinking bubbled some more like a volcano but what I didn't expect was the eruption of the contents and the whole thing was ruined as it spilled recklessly on the floor.

"MUM!" Alyssa exclaimed and ran out of the room almost immediately.

"I also moved away from the pot as well.

After the whole thing had cooled down I went into the room to see the damage, the necklace was half burnt and the floor was smoking.

"WHAT?" I gasped. It was totally impossible...this necklace is indestructible.

"What happened?" Alyssa looked at the floor and then she looked back at me.

"You have been played...this...this is fake" I picked up the necklace and threw it at the wall. It broke into pieces at once.

"No it...it can't be" she tried to argue.

"Oh just stop it...shut up and get out of my sight " I sent her out.

I thought I was the one that cursed Mia but why I'm I feeling cursed?

This daughter of mine must be a curse...look how she has just wasted all my ingredients. These ingredients were so difficult to get.

A few months later

"SCHOOL DANCE" Lakshmi screamed at the top of her voice. She couldn't just believe it...she and Mia were already in their final year of high school and she wasn't going to miss the school dance for anything in the world.

"YES... I am so happy Mia" Lakshmi grabbed Mia's elbows and spinned her round in the hallway. Confused, Mia just felt dizzy and she wanted the whole thing to stop.

She couldn't understand why her friend was so happy and throwing tantrums at the same time...Lakshmi didn't even care that her hair which was packed in a ponytail was now loose and pouring everywhere.

"WOAH" a deep male voice echoed from behind Lakshmi.

"I never expected to see my sister going insane" Scott stopped Lakshmi from spinning and only then did Lakshmi realize that she was feeling dizzy and she lost her balance.

Scott was able to catch her just in time before she crashed to the floor.

"You are crazy" he scolded her as he helped her stand on her feet.

"You are the crazy one and not me Scott. I am so happy that I will no longer be a high school student anymore...I'm going to university soon you know so respect me" Lakshmi stumped her left foot on the floor as she held her waist.

"I am in the university and yet you do not respect me. Respect goes both ways" Scott didn't want to let his sister win this argument the way she always won the others.

But Lakshmi will always be Lakshmi as she stepped on his foot very roughly and he started jumping on one leg.

"That's good at least now you won't mess with me" Lakshmi snapped her fingers and flaunted her hair in his face.

"Hmm.. very funny" he faked a smile.

"Mia let's get going" Scott offered and they both left with him.

Almost every teenager at school was excited, except a few like Mia, she didn't even see a good reason behind it... she just wanted to attend because she knew it would make Lakshmi very happy.

Lkshmi was the most excited about the school's dance for high school final year students. there was just one problem...almost everyone would be going in pairs...a girl and a boy.

Normally the boys would ask the girl out on a dance but no one wanted to ask either of them out.

The seniors who had crushes on both girls had graduated the previous year and no guy was daring enough to ask them out.

So Lakshmi decided that they would be each other's partners and she also invited Scott.. well she didn't invite him...that was the only way her father would let her stay out so late at night.

On that special day

"Stay still Mia...if you don't then I will make a terrible mistake" Lakshmi scolded her friend as she started doing her makeup.

Mia was making it difficult for her since she was moving too much but Lakshmi managed to do it anyway.

"There... all finished...now we are ready" Lakshmi made Mia stand as they both looked at themselves in the mirror.

Lakshmi had put so much effort in making them look alike, she wanted to look like Mia's twin.

"Now we look so much alike...it would have been better if we wore the same dress" Lakshmi was disappointed.

"It is the same just that mine is longer," Mia giggled.

Hearing Mia laughed like that really made Lakshmi so happy...it was just a feeling that was out of this world.

For the party...there was a color of the day.. two actually as they were asked to put on strictly wine red and silver... for the girls and black and red for the boys. Anyone who went contrary to this, may not be allowed to the party.

While Mia chose a longer red dress with a silver belt that was more fishtail like. Lakshmi chose a red dress that was short, simple and flair that it barely passed her knees.

Both girls looked very beautiful...after all Lakshmi had put so much effort on their looks. She made sure to get the makeup exactly the same.

Laskhmi made Mia practice how to walk on heels for two weeks and she was finally ready to put on the silver 9 inches heels that Lakshmi had gotten for them both.

They looked exactly the same and for some weird reason they both wore the same size of show.

"WOW...I think I am having a heart attack" Scott held his chest and squeezed it very tightly as he began to vibrate his body like someone having a stroke.

"Scott stop with your nonsense now and take us to the party" Lakshmi was getting bittered, she pouted her lips.

"I have heard you ma.. dam but I was just adoring the beauties in front of me. I never knew it was such a huge crime to do that.

I am so sorry your majesty...now I have upset the queen but it wasn't really my intention" Scott took a bow and Mia laughed at them both.
