This time I am writing a book on self-love.

Synopsis.

Sushie Williams ( FL ) attempted suicide due to severe depression but she was saved and then entered a world of mysteries.

Quest: Will she learn to love herself?

Will she be able to fight the battles ahead or will she quit?

Note: This book is fictional so anything similar to names of people, places, and countries is purely coincidental

Now before we go into the book.

What is Depression?

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called a major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn't worth living.

In the world today, a lot of people suffer from Depression. While some get the help and care they need some don't.

Some people learn to live with depression but it isn't easy as you have to deal with mood swings, low energy, lack of motivation, suicidal thoughts, and so on.

Often times, people with depression feel that they aren't enough, they feel like they aren't needed and their existence in this world doesn't matter.

That's so sad, right?

When you get to a stage of Depression, you begin to feel that death is better than living.

You begin to lose your enthusiasm, getting out of bed becomes a hassle.

You begin to feel alone even when among people.

Please note: People suffering from Depression might begin to get withdrawn from people around them. They begin to feel insecure especially when they are in a relationship, e.g they might begin to feel like their partner doesn't love them enough and so on.

They might have trust issues especially when they have been betrayed by someone before.

There's a common feeling among People with Depression and that's the feeling of being Numb. It's a state of being neither happy nor sad. At this stage, you don't feel anything just numb!

People with depression don't usually appear to be sad. Some might even be laughing and smiling with others but that's all a facade. They aren't truly happy in fact, they are dying in silence!

But well, as Severe as Depression may seem, there's a way out.

Firstly, you have to learn to love yourself, why because. People with Depression often lack self-love and some hate themselves to the extent that they want to take their lives.

Some also say negative things to their selves like, ' I am too dumb ' . ' Nobody loves me. ' . ' I am a failure ' . ' I wish I could just die. ' . ' I am useless ' and so on.

So learning to love yourself will go a long way in recovering from Depression.

Secondly, Practice Positive thinking, say positive things to yourself: wake up early in the morning, look into your reflection in the mirror with a smile on your face say these words, ' I am enough! I am loved! I am intelligent! I am beautiful both inside out! I am not perfect but I am working on myself, working to be a better me, not the me that the world wants but me I should be! I am outstanding! I am beautiful both inside out! I am here for a reason! I am not a failure! Whatever I lay my hands on, I'll succeed! I am a genius! ( Your name ) you are loved!

If you practice this daily then you'll begin to gain confidence in yourself and in return, your self-esteem will be boosted.

Thirdly, You should try reaching out to people who care, well, here the problem lies, how do you know people who truly care about you? There are lots of people in this world who pretend to care about others but truly don't care so how then do you know those who truly care?

Well, I think this is when you have to return to your creator, I believe that he's the one who loves you the most, you can speak to him about anything, Even his words says * Cast your cares upon the Lord, for he careth for you.

* Cast your burden upon me for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

You can also contact a spiritual leader, a minister, or someone in your faith community.

Fourthly, Practice self-care. People with Depression often neglect their self-care due to various reasons, for some, it's due to laziness due to tiredness while for some it's because they don't feel like it, Nevertheless, Practising Self care is very important.

No matter how tired you are, get yourself out of bed in the morning and do the needful!

Fifthly, Don't isolate yourself, try to stay among people who understand, you can try getting help by getting a mentor or a therapist who you can trust and will be willing to open up to.

Lastly, Be nice to yourself! Celebrate every victory whether big or small! , Don't let outsiders dampen your spirit! , Become your best friend!

I hope people with Depression can get the help they need.

I have been there and I know how it feels.

Suicide should never be an option!

It's a permanent solution to a temporary problem so never opt for it!

There's a saying, As long as there's life there's still hope.

As long as you are still breathing, there's still hope for you.

Don't end your life before you begin it!

Prologue

" Breaking News!!! " The Broadcaster Announced.

" A young girl of about fifteen years old was found dead by the Beach by the Beach Cleaners at around 6am this morning and according to the Autopsy it was found out that she died from immense blood loss, she Apparently committed suicide, our Reporters are Still Digging into what caused the young Girl to take her Life, We'll keep you updated on what we've found out so till then see you " The Broadcaster said.

In a Three- Bedroom apartment in Country C.

" Hubby, Hubby, Come quickly our daughter is on TV " Mrs Williams called out Sadly to her Husband who was Getting ready for Work that morning.

" What is it Dear? , Has Sushie being.... " He couldn't continue his words when he saw his daughter's Corpse shown on TV.

" What ....happened to Her? " He Managed to ask, still in a daze.

" I think she Committed Suicide " Mrs Williams replied casually.

" What! So you Mean Sushie didn't Sleep over here at night? " He asked Confused.

" Well, the last time I saw her was 7pm yesterday when she finally got the courage to show me her exam result. "

" Which result was that? " He asked Confused.

" I guess you've forgotten that, We bought the form for the final exam about five months ago for Sushie. "

" Oh! Did she pass? "

" What do you think? What can you expect from a Dumbass and a Useless girl like her? " Mrs Williams replied Sarcastically.

" Is that what you told her Yesterday? "

" Of course, and not only that I also reminded her of the fact that she's nothing but a Burden and a liability "

" How could you even say that to your own daughter Nancy? Don't you have any Conscience at all? , You gave birth to her remember? So how could you be so cruel? "

" What if I gave birth to her? , The fact that she made me Lose my posting as the young Madam of the Rag Family still remains, the fact that I carried her in my womb for Nine months doesn't prove anything, she's nothing but a Curse and badluck to me, I really hate her! " Nancy Williams Admitted, An immense amount of Hate could be seen in her eyes.

" You are probably the first Mother in the world to Say something like this to her own daughter, but what's the use of all this now? The fact that Sushie Committed Suicide still remains, and you are responsible for it, Even though you didn't kill her, you gave her the Weapon with your words. "

" Whether she lives or dies isn't my problem as she has always been a curse in my life anyways, And Moreover why are you blaming only me? Don't you dislike her too? When have you ever treated her like a human being, Even though she's your step daughter, Am I the only one at fault here? Didn't you always rain her With Insults daily too? "

Hearing this Aiden was Silent as he felt very guilty though Sushie wasn't his Daughter as she was his Step daughter, he was aware that he had an obligation towards her but he didn't, he never cared for her or see if she's alright or that, though he never loved her as a daughter he couldn't help but feel very Depressed, seeing her Pale Skin on TV, ' Sushie is dead ' His subconscious told him.

" What, you can't speak? Are you tongue tied? At least I have a reason for being indifferent towards Sushie but what about you? What reason do you have? "

" What's your reason if I may ask, you keep on Insisting that Sushie was the reason why you lost your Position as the Young Madam of the Rag Family but how? "

" Well, the truth is that I was indeed married to Varun Rag but.... "

" But what? " Aiden asked impatiently.

" Let me tell you the whole story "

Flash Back

Following the wails and Cries of a Mother.

" Waaaahhhhhh " A Newborn baby's first cry was heard.

" Congrats Mrs, it's a girl " The Obstrecian Announced.

" What! How come it's a girl? , The Scan Showed a boy , so how... , I need an explanation Doctor. " Nancy Managed to ask, still recovering from the pain and stress of giving birth.

" Please Calm down, Mrs Rag, it happens sometimes during scan sessions as the baby hasn't fully developed we tend to make mistakes. " The doctor Explained.

" How can I calm down Doc? , We have been expecting a boy child for months but here comes a girl. " Replied Nancy Already sobbing.

" I can very well understand your Situation Mrs, but you have to realize that a girl child is a gift too as she's mother nature and I expected you of all people to understand this as you are a woman too. " The doctor replied Displeased.

" What should I understand doctor? Because of this Wretched child, I might be stripped off my position as the young Miss of the Rag Family. " Nancy Ranted.

" I understand your Worries Mrs but this isn't enough reason for you to blame it all on this innocent child "

" Nurse please attend to her " The middle Aged Obstrecian Instructed the Nurse on duty as she let out a sigh and walked out of the Room.

" Please Take a Nap Mrs, you must be exhausted from the two hours long labor " The Nurse Adviced.

Nancy Nodded and as if on Cue she Fell into a deep Sleep Five minutes later.

Three hours later, She was Awoken by a commotion coming from outside the Ward.

" Let me in " She heard a demanding Voice, whom she recognized to be her Husband's Tristan.

" You can't for now as Mrs Nancy is currently resting. " The nurse said, blocking his way.

" Will you let me in or not? " He asked Coldly.

Soon Nancy felt a harsh Tug and when she opened her eyes she saw her husband looking at her fiercely like a lion eying it's Prey.

" Honey, I.... "

' Paaah '

A harsh slap Landed on her Face before she could Continue her Words.

" Am .... Sorry... Honey " She Stuttered.

" You are sorry? Sorry for what ah? For giving birth to a Curse? ( Girl Child ) "

" Am really sorry... It wasn't my fault I... "

" Why are you sorry? After nine months of taking care of you and pampering you only for you to birth a girl child. "

" It's not my fault "

" Really? , If it isn't yours then who's fault is it? , Mine? Are you kidding? Because of you Birthing a girl child I will be called infertile, I will be a laughing stock and I might even be stripped off my position as the heir to the Raj's Conglomerate, what can you do about it huh? "

" I... "

" What can you do apart from crying uh? While your mates are giving birth to twins boys, you are here birthing a Girl child, Don't you have any shame at all? "

" Please calm down honey, we can try again and who knows we might have a boy child this time. "

" Try again? Do you think I will touch you after this? What's the probability that you wouldn't give birth to a curse once again uh? "

" I... "

" It's no use now, just pack your bags and leave this country now, if I see you again! Then you are as good as dead, leave now with the curse you call a child. "

" She's still recovering Sir... "

" Who gave the right to interrupt? , Do you still love your job? "

" I do sir "

" Then keep your Mouth Shut! "

" Honey please, am sorry, I... "

" Too late, I want you out of the country before the day ends or else... " He threatened and walked out leaving his Sobbing wife Sprawled on the floor.

Depressed ( love yourself ) Prologue Two.

After Nancy Williams finished her Story, She burst into tears.

" She made me lose my position as the young Madam of the Richest Family in the Country, I hate her! " Nancy declared fiercely.

" Please calm down Nancy, take it easy " He Consoled.

" Am so happy that's she's dead now! Ahhh, my misery had ended. " Nancy replied laughing.

" Nancy, you can't... "

" Mom, Dad, where is Sister Sushie? little Tinu asked interrupting them.

" Well, Sushie " He Hesitated a little, he didn't know what to say to the little boy.

" Tell me, Mom, Where is Sister Sushie? " Little Tinu asked, Now facing his mom.

" Dead, Sushie Committed Suicide " Nancy Williams replied Bluntly.

" What!, You mean that Sister Sushie Killed herself? "

" Of course she did "

" Why did she do that? , Why ....did ... She... " Little Tinu couldn't continue his words as he started Choking on his Words.

" Calm down son, You don't have to feel so sad, Your Sister Sushie is in a better place now. " He Tried Comforting him.

" What do you mean? "

" Well... "

" You don't have to worry or think about Sushie anymore as she's gone, don't cry baby. " Nancy Interrupted him as she moved closer to little Tinu while Attempting to Embrace him and Wiped his tears but alas, to her dismay before she could reach him, the Crying Tinu Wiped out his tears as he took several steps efore he spoke up, his next words were something that would continue to ring in their ears for years to come.

" Mom, Dad I am going to say this once and Never Again, You will Reap what you Sow, For what you did to my Sister Sushie, I promise to make you Pay! " He Said and left his Parents dumbfounded.

" Honey...What was that? " Nancy Williams asked her Husband who was in a daze.

Snapping out of his daze, He Consoled.

" You don't have to worry so much about little Tinu's Words, he's just a Child alright? " Tony Assured his Wife.

Nancy Williams just Nodded, Relieved.

Little do they know that The person they Call child would be the reason for their downfall.

Meanwhile, little Tinu was Walking aimlessly Towards his Sister's Room, He couldn't hold back his tears so he just let them fall, he still couldn't believe that his lovely Sister is gone and Not Coming back, He just Couldn't accept the fact that he wouldn't be able to see his sister again.

When he got to Sushie's Room He carefully opened the door and the Heavenly Scent of The Room filled the air.

Looking at Sushie's Lovely Pictures which were Hanged on the wall, He Felt Like his heart was pierced by a thousand Needles.

His Darling Sister Didn't deserve this.

He started Searching through her, After Unlocking Sushie's drawer, he saw a blue Envelope With a Love Emoji on it.

Curious, he tore the Envelope open and brought out a well-folded Letter, he unfolded it and Readout its Contents.

Dear little Tinu

How are you doing? , I am quite sure that as the Curious boy that you are, you will surely Search through y, am I right?

Well, I just wanted to tell you that I care and love you, Little Brother, When I Searched through the World I realized that only you care so deeply for me and I am very grateful for that.

Little Brother, please don't be too Sad When you read this letter Because I know that I would be gone by then.

I got so Tired of this World Brother, it's so full of Cruelty, Betrayal, and Unhappiness but despite all this, I only wish one thing and that's for you to be happy and Content, Please don't follow in my footsteps, Brother, I admit that I am Weak, I wish I was a bit Stronger.

Remain the Good and obedient little Boy that you've always been and Keep Smiling as you look Dashing that way.

After reading the letter, Seven Years old Tinu felt Something he hasn't felt before, He felt like his heart was being Pierced by an Unseen knife, He felt an Excruciating Pain in his chest, it was so painful that tears poured out his eyes, he clenched his fists tightly in pain, he couldn't believe that his Lovely and Precious Sister Committed Suicide, it came as a shock to him, even though he knew that his Sister was Always sad as he often hears her Muffled Sobs in the middle of the night, but still he never expected this to happen, his Sister was too pure and innocent, his sister didn't deserve to die.

" Why did you have to leave me Alone, Sis?, Why? " He mumbled.

" Why, do you have to leave me all alone here, Sis? "

Right From a young age, he always saw his Sister Sushie, as a hero, he loved her Unconditionally, she was always there for him, though his Parents Dotted on him still they never understood him, only his sister did.

She was his Priceless Gem, and Treasure, she doesn't deserve to be taken away from him, no! This can't be happening, His lovely Sister Can't just die, His sister is the best, why did she have to face so much, why? , Isn't there any justice?

He Continued Sobbing till he was drowned by Exhaustion and soon he fell into a deep sleep and he had a dream.

He saw his Dearest Sister, Wearing a Pure White gown, she looked So beautiful despite her Swollen eyes and Tear stained Face, she was climbing up a mountain step by step and when she got to the edged, she Smiled at him and said.

" Little Brother Tinu, please don't worry about me, Please take good care of yourself and always stay happy, " After Saying her piece, she took a step further and jumped into the Valley of Waters.

" Sister Sushie! " He shouted but it was already too late as she was already lost among the waters, Nowhere to be seen, she was gone, yes she was.

" Sister Sushie!!! " He continued Screaming till he opened his eyes and once he did, he realized that he was on his Bed drowned in swear with his Parents sitting at the side of the Bed Staring Concerndly at him.

" What's Wrong Son? " His father asked.

Seeing his lack of Response, Nancy Spoke up.

" What's Wrong Baby? , Please speak to Mama " Nancy Pleaded Sobbing.

" Mama? , Are you my Mom? , Sister Sushie Committed Suicide just Yesterday and you aren't even worried at all, are you a mother at all? , Do you have a heart, or is it made of stone? , How could you be so cruel? , You don't deserve to be called a human talkless of my mom! Quit your Pretense, I don't have heartless Mom " little Tinu Said in one breath after which he walked out of the room.

But not before he gave his parents the disgusting looks and Banging the door behind him.

His Parents were completely Dumbfounded they couldn't believe their eyes and ears, they couldn't believe that ana lovely and obedient son could be like this, it was so Unbelievable.

Nancy Williams was the Most Surprised as she always thought that her son was young and Ignorant as that was how he Portportrayedself to be.

Tony was quite Speechless too as he wasn't expecting his son to say something like this.

He always thought that Tinu was childish and Ignorant but he was wrong, He Started to feel a little guilty after hearing his son's words.

Indeed, they were the cause of Sushie's death, as they never loved or cared for her as they always believed that she useless and nothing but a girl child who is bad luck and because of this he never treated her right, He gave her little or no share of what she deserved and that was exactly the reason why he enrolled her in a public school despite having more than enough money to sponsor her in the best private school.
