"No! never. All I want is for you to look for a way so that you can become as rich as the demon Lords so we can both be together" I spoke as I looked downwards.

But he raised an eyebrow up and folded his hands, without saying a word.

"Liam you tell me you love me but yet you keep secrets from me. Tell me Liam what are you planning to do" I asked in a sad tone.

"I will tell you but you have to promise me that you will not judge me" he said as he turned back to face me and held my hands.

At first I was reluctant and didn't want to make such a promise, after all I didn't know what he wanted to say but in the end I had no choice but to promise not to judge him.

"Well, remember when I told you that I am working for a Lord?" He asked after I made the promise.

"Yes I do and so?" I asked

"His daughter loves me.." he was saying but I don't even want to let him finish his statement.

"So you love her too right?" I asked immediately.

Despite Liam's explanation I was still very bittered by the fact that other girls had their eyes on Liam. A sad expression rested on my face as I looked down.

Liam's POV

If not for the fact that I need to get some money, I really won't be interested in leaving my lovely Amelia for any other woman.

As I entered the mansion of the Lord which I worked for, I began to daydream of how it would all be mine after I marry his daughter Barbara.

The mansion stairs were made completely out of glass and the rails were made of pure gold. Other floors of the mansion were made of Marble.

Each and every painting that hung on the wall of the mansion was made purely of a gold frame. I am surprised that such a wealthy demon married his fellow demon.

Normally demons with this kind of wealth marry witches in order to gain more power, if a poor demon such as myself marries a witch I'm then the people of Oecia will see it as a crime. That is why I need to get some money so I can finally marry Amelia.

I was still thinking of different ways to entice Barbara when I saw her coming down the stairs, indeed she was beautiful but I will always prefer Amelia.

As she came down the stairs she missed a step and was about to fall when I managed to wipe in on time and caught her in my arms. She hung onto me for a while before letting go.

Although I was backing her as I walked away I could feel that her eyes were still fixed on me.

"Liam" Lord zaka( Barbara's father) Calle me.

"Yes my Lord" I replied

" I want you to escort my daughter to the market. She wants to find me a good pet, keep your eyes on her and make sure nothing happens to her" Lord Zaka ordered.

"Yes my Lord" I said as I bowed my head in respect.

About 10 minutes later Barbara came down from the stairs in a bright yellow dress that hugged her body. The dress was very short which made her look delicious.

I was with 2 other guards that were meant to escort her along with me. I opened the door for her to get into the car while I drove the car.

None of us ( the guards) dared to start a conversation with her because if she found it either frustrating or annoying, we knew we would end up in the dungeon so we all kept quiet.

When we got to the destination (market) . I opened the door for her to step out. She came down from the vehicles and just when myself and another were about to accompany her she turned around and said

"You may wait for me here. I don't want any disturbance".

I went out of the vehicle and began to pick up her scent, I followed her scent until it got to a secreted area.

I was shocked, I saw her with another guy talking. I couldn't tell if he was a demon or a wizard or even human. I hid at a spot and listened to their conversation.

"What took you so long to get here? Don't you know that I have been waiting for over an hour now" the guy said to Barbara as he leaned on the wall.

"I'm really sorry for keeping you. You know how my dad is. He even asked guards to come along with me" Barbara replied as she tried to plead with him.

"Is it ok baby. You look very sexy today" he complimented her.

She just blushed and looked down. She really seems to like this guy.

"Baby I brought the money you asked for. Can we go now? I'm afraid one of the guards will come looking for me, '' Barbara said.

"Yes we should leave now. I will take you to my house on the wizard side of Oecia. Your day won't be able to find us there. We will live together, just me and you" he replied as he took the bag of money from her.

No wonder she took that bag with her when we left the palace. Does this mean she is planning to elope with her lover, a wizard. I thought she had feelings for me..

Anyways I have to stop them before they succeed and also get me into big trouble. I was about to come out of hiding to stop them,but they teleported before I could do anything.

Oh no! I am done for. I returned to the car and told the other two guards what had happened, we all knew we had little or no chance of survival if we told Lord Zaka. Lord Zaka was known to be brutal and merciless.

Many feared to work for him but because he pays his workers more than most Lords, demons like myself are left with no other choice.

"No, I can't go back and die in such a way. I'm leaving" the first guard blurted out.

"Are you mad? Do you think Lord Zaka won't find you. Don't be stupid, he might even accuse you of taking his daughter" the second guard said to him.

The second guard was right, no matter the decision we take now we won't survive it. We had no other choice than to return to the palace and break the news to Lord Zaka.

"How dare you come to me and tell me you can't find her? Where were you when she eloped?" He said to an unfortunate man who broke the news to him the moment we arrived at the palace.

"I'm sorry my Lord. She asked us to wait by the car and when I decided to track her down it was already too late as she had met with her lover and they both teleported before ei could do anything" I explained as I hung my head down low.

Before I knew what was happening he gave me a resounding slap. I almost fell on the fall.

"How dare you give me such a stupid excuse. I give you 48 hours to find my daughter or else I will send your head back to your family ``Those were the last words he said before he left the sitting room.

I began to feel cold all of a sudden, I was scared to the core. This demon will not have mercy on me I am sure.

Now he has given me just 48 hours to find his daughter.

How I'm I going to look for her in the wizard part of Oecia?

Amelia's POV

I wanted to surprise Liam so I went to his house and prepared one of his favorite meals. I even made sure it had fresh blood in it,.just the way Liam liked his meal.

I had my own key to his house so getting into his house wasn't really a difficult task.

Liam returned home late.

"Liam baby you're back. Come and sit I have prepared one of your favorite meals, it even has blood in it" I said to Liam as I helped him take off his clothes from the doorstep.

" Why are you in my house?. Haven't I warned you to inform me first before coming into my house? Just because you have a spare key doesn't mean you can just work in here anytime you like" he shouted at me as he pushed me away, I fell to the floor immediately.

I began to cry. I wondered what my offense was this time around.

"Liam I'm sorry" I said as I picked myself up from the floor.

He slapped me "do you think sorry will be enough to correct your mistakes huh. You forsaken witch" he said as he shoved me aside.

He ate the meal and didn't compliment it. I felt bad but I got used to it.

Liam had started doing this quite often and I didn't have any other choice than to endure it. No one else would want to date or marry a witch and I can't go back to the wizard side of Oecia where I come from because my family had been banished.

I was too scared to sleep on the same bed as Liam that night. I thought I had avoided any more trouble but I just made things worse for myself.

As I was sleeping Liam came to wake me in the middle of the night.

" So you decided to sleep here hu?. Why?" He asked, almost shouting.

I was still feeling very sleepy and it was as if I was still asleep.

But the sleep vanished from my eyes when he dragged me out of the bed and threw me on the floor.

"Go to my room now, take off your clothes. I want to sleep with your naked body by my side" he ordered

I didn't even want him to say anymore as I got up from the floor and started to undress myself.

I went and slept on the bed.

"I have changed my mind. Get up from the bed and sleep on the floor, that's where I want you to sleep to night" he said to me and I got up and slept on the cold floor naked. While he slept on the bed.

Liam's POV

Amelia just had to come over to worsen the case. I hope she doesn't expect an apology because I do not plan on giving her one. After all, it's her fault for not informing me.

I got up from my bed and found her still sleeping on the floor.

"Amelia, wake up, it's late and you are still asleep. I have to go to work now" I told her as I bent down to tap her shoulder.

"I'm sorry for what happened last night Liam" she apologized as she got up from the floor.

"It's ok but next time just inform me first before coming to my house" I told her as. I went into the bathroom.

After having my bath I came out and saw that she had wrapped her body with a towel. If not for the fact that I was in a hurry I would be fúckîng life out of her by now.

"Amelia my Lord's daughter had eloped" I said unexpectedly

"What do you mean she has eloped?" She asked with a confused look on her face.

"I mean she has run away with her lover" I rolled my eyes while I said to her.

"I thought you said she loves you so what other lover are you talking about?" She asked me as she smiled wickedly at me.

"You better not get on my nerves now " I told her as I began to put on my clothes. She got a bit frightened by my warning.

"Anyways I won't be around for a day or 2" I added

"But why?" She asked while trying her best to avoid eye contact with me.

"I am going to search for her" I said and she just nodded.

I left the house and we both went straight to the palace. I put on my guard uniform and went to see Lord Zaka in his room.

"Good morning my Lord" I greeted as I walked in and bowed my head in front of him.

"So what is good about the morning?. When you haven't even started making preparations to find my daughter. Remember you have only two days" he said as he stood up from his bed and walked out of the room.

Time was ticking and I didn't really have much time, so I went to confront the other two guards who also escorted her that day.

We all left the demon part of Oecia to the wizard part.

We almost forgot to take off our uniforms but thankfully one of the guards had remembered.

We needed to do this so we could easily blend in and demons who are not influential sometimes are not welcomed in the wizard part of Oecia.

Out of the many kingdoms in the wizard part of Oecia we had managed to cover two and hadn't found any sign of her yet.

We became tired and decided to rest. I could feel energy leaving my body and I wanted to give up and run away to the human world, maybe just maybe Lord Zaka won't be able to find me there.

Unlike the human world where they use phones to communicate, demons just call the names and remember the face of who they want to speak to and then try to see the face of the person they want to speak to then the person appears in their palm.

On the other hand the face of the person who tried to call will also appear on the receiver's hand. If you didn't want to speak to the person at that point all you needed to do was wave your hand and then it would be impossible for the person to reach you again unless you reach the person again.

Lords and wealth demons were the only ones in the demon kingdom that could get phones, the rest of the demons used that pattern. We call it "anachy".

I received an anachy from Lord Zaka.

"Where are you?" He asked

"I am in the wizard part of Oecia, my Lord," I replied .

"You are definitely in the wrong papce because I just received an anachy from her so-called lover, asking me to bring some money or else he will kill my daughter" he said and I could see the anger in his eyes.

I felt like he was going to tear things into pieces.

"Better get back here to the palace so you will go get my daughter" he shouted.

I informed the other three guards and we teleported back to the palace.

"What took you so long?" Lord Zaka asked as he slapped me across the face.

"I'm sorry my Lord" he said

He gave me the location and some certain instructions.

According to his instructions I am not allowed to get too close to the location or else a spell will be cast on me by Barbara's so-called lover.

I was asked to go alone since I was the one that saw them together and I was the only person that knew what he looked like.

Normally it is very difficult for witches or wizards to cast a spell on a demon unless they are powerful.

The fact that I am not a rich demon will make it very easy for him to enchant me because rich demons pay visits to different powerful witches and wizards to give them more powers.

Barbara's POV

I didn't realize the kind of trouble I got myself into until I found myself tied up in a dark place. I tried to use my powers to break free but I saw that someone had put a demon anklet on me( This sucks all the powers of a demon).

They are very hard to get a hold of. But who could have taken me.

I saw a male figure coming towards me.

"Who are you?" I asked almost in fear.

"But he was quiet, he didn't say anything to me.

"Why did you bring me here?. You better let me go or else my dad is not going to spare you. Do you know who he is huh?. He is Lord Zaka so you better let me go now" I spoke to the figure, trying to sound brave.

I still couldn't see who it was, I couldn't see the face. As the figure came closer and closer to me I got scared and then I finally saw his face, I couldn't recognize him. I had no idea who he was.

"Oh! Is daddy's little princess scared?. No you shouldn't be, don't worry I won't hurt you" he said in a low but very scary voice. He held my chin and was about to kiss me when I turned away.

"So you won't let me kiss you now but you brought money for me?. Aren't you my lover?" He asked.

What does he mean by me being his lover? And what money is he talking about?.

The only money I knew I took from the house was the money I wanted to sue to buy a human pet for my dad.

The last thing I remember is that I was talking to a strange guy in a black hood, he had bumped into me and was apologizing, we were still trying to settle the issue when I saw a flash of light.

After that I can't remember what happened next

"Who are you and why did you bring me here? How did I even get here in the first place?" I asked him again, this time without showing any sign of fear. I sounded rather intimidating.

"So you really can't remember. That means the portion you inhaled was very powerful" he said.

"But never mind, I don't see any trouble in refreshing your memory by telling you how you ended up with me, my darling princess, '' he added.

I looked at him, so very confused. What is he even talking about? What portion could I have inhaled?

He took a deep breath and started to speak

" You see, princess, I reside in the kingdom which your dad is Lord over. I desperately needed some money to get my business. I'm the human world up and running. I was opportuned to meet your dad so I decided to ask your dad for a loan. He didn't refuse to give me the money" he took a pause and began again

"He gave me hope that I'll soon get the money but he kept on delaying and that was when I knew that he had been taking me for a fool all these while. It would have been better if he just refused to give me the money but no he did no such thing.."

He was still explaining when I interrupted and said

"So you decided to seek revenge by kidnapping me?"

"Calm down princess that ain't the whole story" he said with a smirk on his face.

He took another pause and continued.

"So I went to him again to remind him of his promise but he sent me away, he embarrassed me. I found out about you, his darling daughter". He took a deep breath and continued.

"I tried to get a hold of you. I tried to explain things to you but your guards had always managed to keep me away from you so I came up with a plan.."

"To kill me for revenge?" I interrupted him.

"Of course not. If I wanted to do that you would have been dead by now so don't just jump into conclusions, at least not yet. Try to hear me out first" he replied as he began to untie me.

" I heard that you were coming to the

market. I wanted to talk to you but I saw that your guards still had their eyes on you after you walked away from the car. I had already mixed a portion at home before I left the house. I did that just in case" he finally untied me. I stood up and sat on a chair and continued listening to him.

" So I bumped into you and sprayed the potion that was already in the bottle. You inhaled and the potion performed it's magic"

"Which is?" I asked

" To make you think we are lovers who have planned to run away. Please just cooperate with me. When your father brings the money I will let you go. I might be a wizard but I am not that evil'' he pleaded.

I agreed to play along with his plan.
