Chapter 1 The Mafia’s Sweet Pea - 1

Everyone gathered in the corridor of Castle Gate Grammar as the girl lay helplessly, and with defensiveness. "What's going on?" Christiano asked.

"Looks like Colton is beating the shit out of someone again,"

"Come on, let's take a look. What harm could it possibly do?"

They shrugged their shoulders, following Christiano. The four boys were the most feared in the school, apart from Colton and his friends. They approached the crowd, which cleared instantly when they saw the four boys. They looked at Colton and his friends who were holding a girl down and beating the living shit out of her. They looked at each other and nodded. Without further ado, they strode towards the four teens who had pinned the girl down.

Christiano grabbed Colton, pulling him off the girl. The other three brothers pulled Colton's friends away from her and started beating the shit out of them. Christiano threw punch after punch at Colton.

"Never hit a girl, especially one that can't fight back. Four on one isn't a fair fight. Did your mom ever teach you how to respect a girl?"

"Fuck off Chris, you're no different."

"I'm better than you, now fuck off and never touch her again, or I will personally break every fucking bone in your body." He said, losing him. He looked at his friends and nodded and then ran.

Christiano held his hand out, the girl looked at him confused and shaken. "Take it."

She placed her hand on his. He wrapped it around her hand and pulled her to her feet. "Thanks."

"My pleasure."

"Sawyer."

"Christiano."

"I know enough to know who you are."

"Good, then there's no need for formalities then."

"Why did you help me?"

"Four on one is hardly fair, sweetheart."

"But why?"

"He's an ass and I fucking hate the ground he walks on."

He looked at her. "You seriously need to stick up for yourself and fight back."

"Who's going to teach me? I have no friends."

"Well, now you have." He looked at her. "I'll make a deal with you. I'll help you to fight these assholes off if you join us."

"I.."

"That's my deal, sweetheart, take it or leave it."

She thought for a second. What had she to lose? If she could fight these assholes back and show she wasn't afraid of them, maybe just maybe they'd back off.

They walked down the corridor, his arm over her shoulders as they came to the room for her next lesson. "If you need me I'll be next door. We'll have a break and lunch together. We'll be in a few of your lessons today, so no one will say anything to you. We need to discuss the terms of our contract by the end of the week."

"What contract?"

"I'll have it drawn up and all we have to do is sign it."

She looked unsure at him. He kissed her forehead. Taking his arm off her shoulders, "I'll be waiting here for you, okay."

"Okay."

He smiled and walked away as she entered the class.

What she didn't realize that day all would change for the worse.

At the end of the week

"We need to discuss the contract."

"What contract?"

"For this to work we need to make sure you know where you stand and what you have to do to get our protection."

"Sure."

"Take a seat, Sawyer."

She sat next to Christiano nervously. He pulled out the folder. "Right, for this to work in your favor as well as mine, so I have drawn up a contract."

"Okay." She said, nervously.

"First, I will teach you everything I know so that you can fight back, but to do this you must agree to move into my house once you turn sixteen."

Shit that was in a few weeks her mind would have a hissy fit. Everyone knew how rich and powerful the Caprioli empire could get anything that they wanted with just a click of their fingers. Her parents stood no chance against him and when this contract was in place, neither did she."You need to agree to these terms, Sawyer, so we can continue."

"What are the other terms?"

"We shall share the same room, but you will need to dress in a maid's uniform."

"Why?"

"So no one will take you away from me." He looked at her. "Look, Sawyer, we have many enemies and if they get to know about you, they will try and take the opportunity to take you away from me, by doing this they won't think twice. You won't have to wear it during training just in my home, okay."

She gulped, could she?

He had discussed it all with his brothers; they had come up with the ridiculous idea of putting her into a maid's uniform. God knows what they were thinking, but he'd soon find out.

"Do we agree with these terms, Sawyer, if not, we can end this now and your bullies will continue to bully and torture you if you leave this hellhole?"

"What's there to lose?"

"Good choice, Sawyer." He said, handing her the pen.

She took it off him, quickly signing it, placing the pen down, regretting her decision, knowing this was going to be the worst day of her life.

"Welcome to the family. Sawyer. Training will start on Saturday. I shall be outside your house at seven am, so be up and ready. We will be going for a run first, then go to the gym where we will start on the simple exercises, weights, then onto the punch bag. I need to teach you how to use your fists, and it's the best way to do that."

"Okay."

He stood up. Kissing her cheek. "This will be the start of a most beautiful friendship."

Little did she know she'd signed her life away day.

Training

True to his word, Christiano was outside her house waiting for her in his sweatpants and a loosely fitted tee-shirt accompanied by a pair of running trainers. She'd chosen to wear her exercise crop top and leggings with her trainers. "Glad to see you took my advice to wear something sporty and comfortable, are we ready?"

"Yes."

"Let's go."

They put their plugs in listening to music as they ran now and then and would make hand gestures to turn down streets or run over to the other side. They sat on the park bench to have a drink before they were on their way till they reached the gym. They did some rutile exercises before he showed her how to use the punching bags. She seemed to get the hang of it.

"You're doing well, Sawyer, for your first time, but I'll have to show you some techniques, so you don't bust your hand or wrists."

"Okay."

"Come take a rest, and I'll teach you how to punch properly before you use the punch bag again."

"Okay."

They both sat down having a drink of water before he showed her how he punched, so it wouldn't break any bones, and he got her to do them. Before they headed out the gym, her stomach growled, and he laughed. "Guess you're hungry too?"

"A little."

"Come, I know somewhere that is the best food you'll ever taste."

She nodded, and they walked away, going to an exquisite restaurant. "I can't afford this place, Christiano."

"My treat."

"Bu.."

He glared at her, so she decided not to argue.

He smiled, and they entered. They were shown to their table and were served no alcohol due to their age. "Chill Sawyer, my parents own this place okay."

"Okay."

They ordered pasta and chicken and ate in silence. She thanked him for taking her there and for the meal he nodded and smiled. He dropped her off at home and told her to be ready by the same time in the morning. She nodded and went inside, closing the door.

Chapter 2

Training Days 2 - 5

The second day of training was much like the first. Christiano had waited for her outside her house in his sweatpants and a loosely fitted tee-shirt accompanied by a pair of running trainers. She'd chosen to wear her exercise crop top and leggings with her trainers. He nodded. "Let's go."

They put their plugs in while listening to music as they ran, now and then, and would make hand gestures to turn down streets or run over to the other side. They sat on the park bench to have a drink before they were on their way till they reached the gym. They did some rutine exercises before they went to the punching bags to continue where they had left off.

"You're doing better, Sawyer, keep it up. You're learning my techniques quicker than I expected you to."

"Thanks."

A few more raps.

"Come take a rest. We'll get in the ring and use the punching gloves to make sure you've made progress with your punches. What you've learned should help."

"Okay."

They both sat down to have a drink of water before he got the punching gloves on. He told her to take her stance and show him what she'd learned so far. She did as he instructed. She took her stance then punched with her left hand, then her right, continuing.

~

Day three was much the same as day two of training. Christiano and Sawyer got into the Mercedes and the driver pulled away. Christiano told the driver that they were going to the gym for an hour and then into town to the supermarket to pick up some groceries.

The driver pulled up outside the gym, and they got out, closing the car doors, he slipped his arm around her waist, and they walked into the gym where he finally let go of her waist. "Follow me."

She followed him as she changed in the girl's toilets before meeting him in her sportswear. He took her into a different room with a tall wooden object with spikes pointing out of it. "We'll be using that. You have to kick between the spikes. I'll show you how it's done, but do we need to exercise before we work on your upper and lower body?"

"Okay."

They did some stretching exercises before he showed her how to use them. Whatever it was, it looked painful if you fucked up.

"Now you try, just remember to hit in between the spikes or, I'll have to get you an ambulance."

She swallowed. "Okay."

She did what he'd shown her over and over again, first her fists, then her feet. It had been the first time she'd had to use her upper body and lower body, and it hurt like hell.

"That's enough for today. Tomorrow I'll teach you how to deliver different types of kicks."

She nodded.

~

"Right tonight I'm going to teach you different kicking techniques and show you how and when to use them, we're going to perfect the art of kicking ass literally." He laughed.

"Okay."

They did some rutile exercises before he showed her different kicking techniques. She did what he'd shown her over and over again.

"Let's take a rest, and you can show what you've learned tonight in a one-on-one battle, okay?"

"Okay."

They took a few sips of water, and he walked her over to the mats, and they took their stance. "Ready?"

"Yeah."

"Go."

They attacked one another watching each other's next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn't calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They were breathing heavily, their eyes locked on how he wanted to kiss her right now. "Well done Sawyer, you're getting the hang of it." He said, jumping to his feet and holding his hand out.

She shook her head. "Take it, Sawyer."

She took his hand and he pulled her up. "That's enough for today. Tomorrow we'll put all you've learned together in the ring, okay."

She nodded.

~

Training day five was the same as day three and four but combining the techniques together.

"We're going to put everything that you've learned so far together, okay?"

"Okay."

They did some rutile exercises before they then got into the ring and took their stance.

"Your stance is getting better, Sawyer, let's see if your punches and kicks have improved.′ He looked at her. "Let's combine them to see what you've got and what. You will need to improve on it."

"Okay."

"Fight."

They began to fight using different punches and kicks she'd learned well, but she was still a little sloppy. He needed to make sure that there were no weaknesses, so she could take on these assholes at school and when needed. He called time out.

"Why did we stop?"

"You need more training, Sawyer. Your moves are sloppy. I need to get you stronger."

"I thought they were okay."

"They don't just need to be okay Sawyer, they need to be spot on. Do you understand?"

"Yes."

"We'll take a break now and have some water. From tomorrow, we'll be training every night after school. Once you move in, we'll have full access to the gun and I can teach you more than just punching and kicking. You need to know how to defend yourself, okay?"

"Okay."

~

"We'll start working on combining them both here on the mats before we even engage in using the ring, okay."

"Okay."

"Go."

They attacked one another watching each other's next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn't calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They were breathing heavily, their eyes locked on how he wanted to kid her right now.

"Well done Sawyer, you're getting the hang of it. Now let's bring the punches in, then combine them."

She nodded

They continued with the kickers adding punches and then combining them both.

He put his hand up to stop. "That's enough for today. Tomorrow we'll continue as we are tonight until you've got the hang of it, then when I think you're ready I'll put you up against one of my brothers, okay."

"Okay." She gulped.

Chapter 3

Training Day 6 and Training Day 7

Tonight they were going to go to the gym to train with his brothers.

Why did this sound like a bad idea?

Antonio pulled up outside the gym, and they got out, closing the car doors. Christiano slipped his arm around her waist, and they walked into the gym where he finally let go of her waist.

"Follow me."

She followed him as she changed in the girl's toilet before meeting the triplets. They all looked up at her and grinned that this was going to be a piece of cake.

"So are we ready to begin?"

She swallowed hard; they all knew she was nervous.

"Don't worry darling, we'll take it easy on you." They joked.

"Come on Sawyer, we ain't got all day."

She sighed deeply. "Okay."

"Exercise first."

"Okay."

They did some exercises first, and she was beginning to regret coming today, but she knew she'd eventually have to fight the two brothers. "Right, first of all, you'll be fighting Marco, then Demario and, lastly, me, so we can see where your strengths and weaknesses lie, okay?"

"Okay."

"Get in the ring and take your stance."

She got into the ring, taking her stance, looking at Marco. He winked.

"Fight." Christiano boomed.

They began to fight using different punches and kicks. She'd learned well, but she was getting better. With a little more practice she could nail this. They attacked one another watching each other's next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn't calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They were breathing heavily, their eyes locked on how he wanted to kill her right now.

"Well done Sawyer, you're getting the hang of it. Now let's bring the punches in, then combine them."

"Right guys take a break and grab a drink, then it's Demario."

They both got out of the ring, grabbing a bottle of water and taking a few swigs out of it.

"You did well darling, the tough part is when you'll have to fight all three of us."

She swallowed hard as he winked grinning at her.

"Demario, Sawyer, you're up."

They nodded, she placed down her bottle of water. They both got into the ring and took their stance. "Don't worry kitten. I'll take it easy on you." He said, grinning.

"Right guys take a break and grab a drink, then it's me against Sawyer."

They both got out of the ring, grabbing a bottle of water and taking a few swigs out of it.

"Sawyer ready?"

She nodded and placed down her bottle of water. They both got into the ring and took their stance. "Don't worry Sawyer, just remember what we've learned okay." He said, grinning.

"Okay."

They both took their stance. "Begin."

They began to fight using different punches and kicks she'd learned. They attacked one another watching each other's next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was doing pretty well until he caught her off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn't calculated it too well and as she went down she took him as well. They continued with the kicks, adding punches, then combining them.

"That's enough for today. Tomorrow we'll continue as we are going to fight. All of us remember to know your enemy and learn their moves okay." She gulped.

"Go shower and change, then we'll go and grab something to eat."

"Okay."

She went to shower, changed and went out of the changing rooms. He stood waiting for her. He looked up and smiled, she threw a smile back.

"Come on darling, we're all starving here!" Marco said, grinning.

They all walked out of the gym and headed for the car. I got in the car, and the driver pulled away, and they all went for something to eat before they dropped Sawyer off.

"Night Sawyer."

"Night darling."

"Night kitten."

"Night."

She closed the door of the car and walked to the front door. Opened it looking back, she smiled and waved at Christiano. He smiled and nodded, pulling away. She closed the door behind her. The car pulled away. "She's got a lot to learn, Christiano. Do you think we can learn it all for her?"

"Yes, we can."

~

Today was the same as the last time Sawyer would be fighting against the brothers in the ring, showing them what she had learned.

"So are we ready to begin?"

She swallowed hard; they all knew she was nervous. "Don't worry darling, we'll take it easy on you."

They joked.

"Come on Sawyer, we ain't got all day."

"Exercise first."

She sighed deeply. "Okay."

"Okay."

They did some exercises. She was regretting coming today, but she knew she'd eventually have to fight all the brothers. "Right you'll be fighting us all together today with no one-on-one shit, so make sure you know your surroundings and your opponent."

"Okay."

"Get in the ring and take your stance."

She got into the ring, taking her stance, looking at Marco, Christiano and Demario, winking.

"Fight." Christiano boomed.

They all began to fight using different punches and kicks. She'd learned well. She was taking in her surroundings all the time and trying to judge their every move, so she could counteract them. They attacked one another watching each other's next move, spinning kicks, fly kicks and foot slides. She was trying her best to prevent any fatal injuries. These guys were good and fast. Hopefully, she'll be as good and as fast as them one day.

She was suddenly caught off guard, and she lost her balance, but he hadn't calculated it too well. As she went down, she took Demario down as well. He looked at her and winked, jumping up ready to continue; she did the same; he grinned evilly, and the fight continued between all of them. She was slowing down but they were getting faster. Her head became dizzy as she fell silently to the floor entering darkness.

She slowly opens her eyes, the three of them grinning. "Took your time kitten. We thought we'd lost you."

"What happened?"

"You pushed yourself too hard Sawyer, there's always a limit you should've conceded."

"But..."

"No buts, Sawyer. You're new to all of this. You need to know your limits, and you overstepped them."

"I'm sorry."

"No need to be sorry Darlin, we all make mistakes, trust me."

"Okay."

"You're staying with us as it's the weekend."

"But my parents?"

"All sorted, let's get going."

"Okay."

Christiano pulled her up. "Don't ever pull a stunt like that again, Sawyer."

"I won't."

"Come on, let's get going."

They all walked out of the gym and headed for the car. Getting in.

The car pulled away. "Sawyer is coming with us tonight."

"Sir."

The car pulled up in front of a large house which looked more like a mansion. "Come on darling, we're here."

They all got out of the car and Christiano took her hand, leading her into the large house. She looked around amazed. He looked at the housemaid.

"Sawyer is staying with us tonight to make sure that she has everything she needs."

"Yes sir." She said, before scurrying away.

"Come on, let's get some food."

They all agreed, and he pulled Sawyer with him into the large kitchen diner where there was already food placed on the table. They all sat down to eat and talk before he showed her to her room.

"Night darling."

"Night kitten."

"Night."

"I'll come for you in the morning, and we can eat breakfast together and discuss what's to happen next."

"Okay."

He kissed her cheek. "Night Sawyer."

"Night Christiano," she said before opening the door, stepping into the bedroom and closing the door behind her.
