A Howl. A forest. Black and dark. Two dark purple eyes staring into the darkness. The creature let out a low growl, its sharp teeth gleaming in the moonlight. Its fur was sleek and bluish black, blending in perfectly with the surrounding darkness. It was a creature of the night, a hunter who prowled the forest in search of prey.
Slowly, the creature emerged from the shadows, its eyes fixed on the girl who stood before it. It transformed into a tall, muscular man with a rugged, handsome face. His dark black eyes and messy black hair gave him an intense look. She sensed danger as he stared into the darkness. Chills ran all over her body, and something crawled up her spine. But then she heard a human voice, and she hesitated, trying to listen to him.
The voice spoke again, and this time she recognized his words. 'Enemies of humans are humans. We just love them,' he said in his deep voice as he leaned in to kiss her. As he kissed her lips, her body trembled. She felt a scream of pleasure, an explosion of ecstasy, and the world was suddenly filled with light and colors, like a million rainbows. A million colors. She felt a strange sense of recognition from his touch.
"Those words were hitting her ears again and again. She had never heard such a voice and seen those eyes in her entire life. She was constantly thinking this while driving aimlessly on the road and scratching the back of her neck mercilessly. Suddenly, someone hit her car and fell down. She quickly stopped the car and got down to see the condition of that person. But the man quickly pushed her and started running again.
"Hey, hey, grab him. That thief is running away with my wallet," she looked back at the sound and then started running after that thief. Everyone stopped their work and looked at them, but no one came forward for their help. He had been running for more than 20 minutes, but the thief was probably faster than him.
"aaaaaa! Sorry! Sorry! I am fine, nothing happened to me," he started cleaning the mud on his clothes.
Someone's footsteps came close to him and he looked up to see. It was a very beautiful girl who was staring at him with anger in her hazel blue eyes. He couldn't help but feel captivated by her beauty, a beauty that radiated like a scorching heat. Not that he had never seen her before, but there was always something about her that drew him like a moth to a flame.
"I don't know if this city is strange or not but the girls here are very beautiful. Shut up Altan," he silenced himself by slapping his head.
The girl looked into his black eyes, which were looking over her shoulder at someone else behind her. In anger, she hit her booted foot hard on his leg.
"Hey, you're so cruel. I was just kidding."
"Shut up," she said politely and thrust something hard into his half-open mouth.
"Ouch! What is this?" he took it out of his mouth and saw it was the same wallet he had been walking around the same street for the past 20 minutes to get."
"Thank you very much. I just received my salary and it was stolen."
No response received.
"By the way, the people of this city are quite strange, I mean, a man has been crying for help for the past half an hour, but instead of any help, they are just standing and watching."
At this, the girl turned her neck and looked at him. She gave him a strange look from head to toe. "Now, if a policeman cannot protect himself by wearing a police uniform, why would anyone help him? By the way, what are you doing here?"
"As you know how much I have been fond of making documentaries since my childhood, so I got some free time today, to pursue my hobby. Look, I have made a video on pickpockets," as soon as she saw it, she started laughing. In those 10 minutes, she laughed so openly for the first time.
"What happened doesn't seem so funny now," he said after watching the video where his voice was recorded but with the image of the dog.
"This this-John recorded this-I mean- you-."
The girl sat in the car laughing and started it.
"Hey, take me with you." He said while running behind the moving car. The girl looked at him through the mirror and increased the speed while smiling. There was something about her smile, something about the way her hair whipped around her face in the wind, made him feel alive in a way he hadn't felt in years.
He quickened his pace, feeling his heartbeat race with anticipation. As he ran, he caught glimpses of her car up ahead, weaving in and out of traffic.
"Miss why you are here ? What are you doing here, standing in such heat? Look at your condition. You are drenched in sweat. You would go inside and sit," on reaching the police station the girl said to the woman who looked about 45 years old and wiped the sweat on her forehead. She brought her inside the police station.
"It's been a week now that I've been going round the police station but no one is listening to me," the woman said in a low voice.
"What happened? " she asked the woman.
"My daughter. She has been missing for a week. No phone call. No message. I don't know what to do, and who to tell."
"What is your daughter's name? Age? What class did you study?" She asked.
"My daughter's name was Faryal Matthew. She is a 20-year-old college student."
"Did you find out about her from her college?" She asked again.
"Yes, I went, but they said that she was not coming to college for a month. They asked the reason from her, she told them that her mother had died and that's why she is on leave."
"That is the problem. No one knew where she was going instead of college. And why would she lie about my death? As her mother, I couldn't help but feel like I had failed her. Maybe if I had paid closer attention to her behavior, I could have seen the signs that something was wrong. But now, all I could do was try to piece together the mystery of her disappearance," tears welled up in her eyes.
"Okay don't cry and drink water," she said, giving her a glass of water.
"Got a ransom call?"
"No," she said while keeping the glass of water on the table, and shook her head in the negative. "If it had come, I would have been relieved that my daughter was alive."
Knock!
"Miss Esen Jasper!"
"Yes," a beautiful woman with black hair tied in a bun and hazel blue eyes with long thick lashes framing perfectly her face. Wearing a blue police uniform making her waist curve prominent. She looked up and saw Mr. Park who had come to say something. But seeing the woman, he fell silent and turned back to the door, beckoning Esen to come out.
"Try to remember the last time you both had a fight over something. Or you noticed a change in her behavior. Maybe she had an argument with someone. Or someone was bothering her," Esen patted her shoulder lightly and left the room.
"What happened Mr. Park?"
"Another body is found near the forests of Nagosia. The forensic team has arrived and we have to rush there too."
"Wait, I am also coming along with you guys," Altan said, holding his breath, a man with black wavy hair and black eyes with a beautiful mole on his nose making him seem like some kind of a dark angel.
Esen looked at Altan and sat in the car.
"Any updates?" Asked Esen. "Don't know much about the updates but the killer is the same," replied John.
"Who?" she asked.
Altan carefully examined the body and then looked around. It's an old factory that had been closed for years. There were claw marks everywhere, it seemed like a fight between some big animals. But that dead body of a girl which looked as if she had been there for a long time. Her face is damaged. Some animal's skin is stuck in the nails. There are claw marks on her body and hair on her clothes. As if she was trying to save herself.
"Do you think a human can kill an animal, alone without any weapon," Esen asked Altan, looking at the corpse's hands.
"Man is only a name for humans."
"Means?" She asked in confusion, causing two lines to appear on her forehead.
"But looking at it, the contest was probably even," Altan said, changing the topic.
"WEREWOLF," both said in unison.
Altan quickly placed his hand on Esen's mouth and said, "Speak slowly."
Esen's eyes widened as she saw Altan's hand on her mouth, but she quickly regained her composure and nodded her head in agreement.
"Okay," she whispered, "I'll speak slowly."
He removed his hand from her mouth, a small smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
"What happened? Found something?" Aydin asked, looking at both of them.
"I think the case is straightforward. A wild animal must have attacked her, probably a lion or a tiger," Altan replied. "Nowadays, the attack of these wild animals has increased, this is the third attack. They have tasted the human blood, if it continues like this, the cities will also become forests."
As Aydin examined the torn clothing and deep claw marks on the victim's body, he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him. The thought of wild animals attacking innocent people was terrifying. He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Either way, we need to notify the authorities and make sure this doesn't happen again. People need to be aware of the dangers of venturing into these parts alone. And inform her family too."
"But she may have been dead for a long time, nothing was found even from her clothes. Her face was also damaged. So, she will have to be taken for post-mortem," At Altan's words, Aydin stared at him from head to toe and signaled John to take the body to the hospital for further processing.
"Why are you still sitting here?" Arriving at the police station, Esen was shocked and asked the woman whom she left there 4 hours ago.
"It's been almost a week since my daughter went missing. Who did I go to? There is no one at home."
Pause.
"I remember some questions you asked before you left." The woman continued after pausing for a while "before she disappeared, she was acting quite strangely."
"What?" Esen asked.
"A few days before she disappeared, she was suffering from anxiety and hallucinations."
"What kind of hallucinations?" Esen asked, interrupting her.
"Kind of weird. She told me that she used to smell like a dog from herself, because of which she used to bathe several times a day. She used to clean herself by rubbing so much that there were marks on her body, and then she scratched those marks and drew blood.A few days ago her dog also died. I thought it was her shock because I couldn't smell anything."
"So didn't you get checked by a doctor?" asked Esen.
She cried and said that "I had her checked by a doctor, but he also said that she was depressed, so I was satisfied. And started giving her antidepressants, but that didn't work either, and now she's gone I don't know where."
"Do you have a picture of her?" asked Esen.
"Yes, I've brought it along," she said, taking out a photo from her pocket and handing it to Esen.
"Tell me your name."
"Taylor Matthew."
She wrote her name on the back of the picture and took a look at it. "I will find your daughter Mrs. Matthew, don't worry."
Mrs. Matthew looked at the young woman with gratitude in her eyes. "Thank you so much. I don't know how to thank you enough," she said, her voice trembling with emotion.
[Car Horn]
At the sound of the horn, she turned to see Altan, who had stopped his car near her. He smiled and waved. "What happened? Why haven't you gone yet?" He asked, seeing Esen standing alone outside the police station at that time of night.
"My car broke down. I called a tow truck to have it picked up," she said, looking at him with worried eyes and scratching the back of her neck. He nodded understandingly and said, unlocking the car, "Come on, I'll drop you home."
Esen first looked at his black car, then looked at him, and shook her head in no. Looking at the other side of the road, she started waiting for someone to come. Altan got down from the car and forcibly took Esen's hand, making her sit in the car. As soon as he touched her, she recoiled with shock as if she had been electrocuted. Controlling the pace of her heart, she said, "How many times have I forbidden you not to hold my hand like this?" Her voice trembled with fear and anger.
"Why?" he looked into her hazel blue eyes, smiling and tightened his grip on her hand. She tried to free herself from his grasp like a fed-up fish, but in vain. His warmth and steady presence soothed her frayed nerves.
"Do you love me?"
"Shut up," she said calmly, and began to calm the storm inside her.
"Tell me, do you love me?" he asked. The way she ignored everyone else and only cared about him, if anyone were in his place, they would have understood the same, he thought. His smile faded slightly as he searched her face for an answer.
She hesitated for a moment before finally answering, "I don't know."
His heart sank at her response, but he didn't let go of her hand. "Why don't you know?"
"I just...I don't feel the same way you do," she said softly, avoiding his gaze.
He felt a lump forming in his throat. He had been so sure that she felt the same way he did. "Is there someone else?"
She shook her head. "No, it's not that. I just don't think I'm ready for a relationship right now."
He sighed, feeling a mix of disappointment and relief as he didn't see any worry on her face. He could hear her heartbeat very clearly. He held her hand in one of his hands and opened the car door with the other, signaling her to sit.
She resisted for a moment longer, but then she relented and allowed him to guide her into the car. For a while, she stared into his black eyes as if she were looking for something - an answer to a question or something for herself, but he was good at hiding everything.
He suddenly came close to her, due to which she put her head back on the car seat and closed her eyes tightly. She wasn't expecting this move at all. She felt the hot breath coming from his nose on her neck, and the scent of his uniform gave her a different feeling. His hand was searching for something on the side of her waist, and she couldn't help but shiver at his touch.
"What's the way, Altan?" she said, barely able to control her breathing.
"Belt," he said. "I am just putting on the belt."
On hearing this, she immediately opened her eyes and saw him. His face was so close to hers that if she made a move, her lips would probably collide with his. She felt a surge of desire running through her body, and she couldn't deny that she was attracted to him.
She held her breath and looked at him blankly. He looked one by one into her hazel blue eyes, then glanced at her lips and whispered softly in her ear, "Breath."
It tickled her skin as he spoke, sending shivers down her spine. She closed her eyes again, savoring the sensation of his warm breath against her earlobe.
He started driving the car. Her heart was pounding in her chest as they drove deeper into the night. They both journeyed in complete silence, and the unspoken tension made the trip seem much longer than it was. Although she wished to break the silence, she was uncertain what to say and didn't want to cause any discomfort between them.
"My car," she asked before getting out of his car.
"I will see to it, you go home and rest," he said, keeping his hand on her hair. Without saying another word, she quickly got out of the car and walked towards her house. As she walked, she couldn't help but think about how kind he was to offer to take care of her car. She had only met him a few years ago, but there was something about him that made her feel safe and comfortable.
When she reached her house, she went straight to her room and lay down on her bed. She closed her eyes and tried to relax, but her mind kept wandering back to him. She wondered what he was doing right now, and if he was thinking about her too.
After a while, she decided to text him to thank him for his help. She picked up her phone and typed out a message: "I just wanted to say thank you for bringing me home. I also wanted to apologize for how I acted before." After this message she felt a weight lifted off her shoulders.
■■■■
"Has anyone doubted your identity?" someone asked.
"Not yet," Altan replied, straightening the chains.
"So why is it so late?" Altan's hands stopped at this question, and like a gust of wind, Esen's face passed in front of his eyes, but he did not say anything in response.
Her name alone was enough to reassure him that he was not alone; it was the name that soothed him to the core. He had always felt like an outsider, like he didn't quite fit in with the rest of the world. But when he heard her name, it was like a warm embrace that enveloped him and made him feel like he belonged. She was like a beacon of hope for him. In a world that often feels cold and indifferent, her name is a reminder that there is still warmth and kindness to be found. And for that, he is eternally grateful.
"Alpha Altan, you know you don't need a moon to transform?" Gamma Kai Liam, a man with black wavy hair and brown eyes, started asking, question after question because of his late arrival.
Not getting an answer, Gamma Kai looked at Alpha Altan who was smiling without any reason.
"What about the case?" he asked again, ignoring his smile.
"Another body has been found. A girl with werewolf claw marks, but there is something very strange about the body. Her body was found in the middle of a deserted factory, her clothes torn, and her skin marked with deep claw marks. They were too precise, too deliberate. The blood had been drained from her body, and her organs had been removed. It was as if someone had performed a gruesome autopsy on her while she was still alive."
Gamma Kai raised an eyebrow in shock and said, "What?"
Alpha Altan sat down next to Gamma Kai on the stairs in the hall, keeping the chains aside. "She was human. I'm sure, but her fingernails, like the other two corpses, have bits of werewolf skin stuck to them, and there are claw marks everywhere. It doesn't look like a human has faced a werewolf. Looking at the body, it looks like a werewolf fighting a werewolf."
[Pause]
Both Alpha Altan and Gamma Kai are silent for a while and stare off into space.
"Well, she has been sent for post-mortem; until then, it is difficult to estimate anything," Alpha Altan broke the silence and asked Gamma Kai, "Do you have any doubts about anyone?"
"Vanara Pack from the south coast," Gamma Kai said. Just this and started to chain Alpha Altan because it was time for him to transform, and in this state, he would forget himself.
Alpha Altan's Pack - The Gravefur Pack on the east coast and the Vanara Pack have had a long-standing rivalry. But Alpha Altan never thought that wolves would start hunting humans like this.
As the leader of the Gravefur Pack, Alpha Altan has always been aware of the tension between his pack and the Vanara Pack. They have been competing for territory and resources for years, but it has never escalated to the point of violence against humans.
However, in recent months, reports have been coming in of wolves attacking and killing humans in the nearby towns. At first, Alpha Altan had dismissed it as the work of rogue wolves or perhaps even the Vanara Pack trying to frame them. But as the attacks continued and the evidence mounted, he knew he had to take action. Alpha Altan knew that he couldn't let this continue. He needed to take action before any more humans were injured or killed.
500 years ago, there was an agreement between humans and werewolves that no humans would cross werewolf territories, and no werewolves would cross human territories. However, now this agreement seemed to be in danger due to the Vanara Pack, a group of werewolves who believed they were superior to humans and should be able to roam freely through human territories.
The humans, on the other hand, are afraid of the werewolves and see them as a threat to their safety. They are determined to protect their land and their people, even if it means going to war - a long war without an end. "And wars are not easy," he thought, as the color of his eyes changed from black to dark purple. His whole body was covered with bluish-black fur, his teeth elongated and became fangs, and his hands turned into sharp claws. And his ears became pointed and moved to the top of his head. He let out a low growl as he felt the power coursing through his veins. He transformed from his human form into wolf form and landed gracefully on all fours, feeling the earth beneath his paws.
Gamma Kai, who had once been human, was bitten by the True Alpha Alparic O'Connor after demonstrating honesty and loyalty to the Gravefur Pack. He was turned into a Gamma Wolf. He stood by his side during the intense War of Dark that ensued, fighting with all his might to protect his pack mates. He quickly proved himself to be a valuable member of the pack, always willing to lend a helping hand to his fellow wolves.
Gamma Kai is one of the reasons for the enmity between Vanara Pack and Gravefur Pack because Gamma Wolf exists once in a hundred years. He was once human but became a Gamma Wolf after being bitten by a True Alpha Alparic and is stronger than Beta Wolf and Omega Wolf.
The Vanara Pack wants to obtain the blood of the Gamma Kai, so that they can make multiple Gamma Wolves in their pack with the help of Lucien Starin and can easily control the Gravefur Pack, Dark Shadow Coven, humans, Witch Obaven, Strigoi Grave Risen Coven, Blood Moon Coven, and Chimeras. But they also know that obtaining the blood of a Gamma Kai is not an easy task. Gamma Kai is a rare and powerful creature, and his blood is highly coveted by supernatural beings. They have to be careful to plan their approach carefully. Secondly, he is one of the Gravefur Pack members who knows the existence of Omicron Wolf Kendrick Lucas.
But after True Alpha Alparic was killed, Gamma Kai returned to the human world, and only the Gravefur Pack knew where he was located. In the eyes of the Vanara Pack, he had died along with True Alpha Alparic. However, rumors began to spread among the werewolf community that Gamma Kai was still alive and had gone rogue. Some claimed to have seen him lurking in the shadows; others said they had heard his howls in the night.
The Gravefur Pack kept their knowledge of Gamma Kai's whereabouts a secret, fearing that if the other packs found out, they would come after him. They knew that Gamma Kai was powerful and wanted by the Vanara pack, so they hid him, as they didn't want to risk a war between the packs.
Two hours ago, Altan had dropped her off at home, but she was still smiling at the thought of him. The smell of his perfume and his touch still held her close. A noise from the window broke her train of thought and she snapped out of it.
Even this weather is not known nowadays. No one knows when they change, she said angrily to herself and got up and slammed the window shut. She walked over to her desk and sat down, trying to regain her focus. The sound of rain tapping against the window was soothing, but it also made her feel uneasy.
She looked at the clock and realized that she had been lost in thought for over an hour. She had work to do, but her mind was still wandering back to him. She took a deep breath and tried to clear her mind. She opened her laptop and started typing, but her thoughts kept drifting her back to Altan.
Along with the thought of him, she also thought of her car. She patted her head lightly and got the phone, seeing that he still hadn't read her message. She thought of calling him and asking about the car, maybe she was looking for an excuse to talk to him, but then she hung up the phone with a thought.
She knew that she had to see him again soon, and she couldn't wait to feel his touch and smell his perfume once more. With a smile on her face, she drifted off to sleep, dreaming of the possibilities that lay ahead with Altan. A dream of the future that she would share with him would never be like any other. They were meant to be together for the rest of their lives, destined to rule over their own kingdoms as rulers who had ruled before them. There was a world where no one could stop them, not even the most powerful among them.
In the night she did not know when her eye was struck and she was lost in the valleys of sleep. This valley was not a fairyland but hell. When she was awake inside her dream there was no sun or moon, just blackness and silence. She always heard a noise. A scream in the distance and laughter in her ears – that made her want to run, flee to escape the horrors that lay beyond. The demons that chased after her.
She sat up with a jolt, this strange dream had gripped her. She closed her eyes and tried to remember it again, but she did not remember anything except some pieces as if someone wanted to tell her something through a dream. Or maybe there was a puzzle someone wanted her to solve. She tried to remember again and all she could remember was that someone was giving her blood to drink, whether human or animal, she didn't know.
She had a very strange smell coming from her. She smells like a dog as if she had killed a dream animal with her bare hands. But the hands were clean, there was no trace of blood and not even an animal was lying dead. She went to the washroom smelling her clothes. She saw a wound on her neck. Only a mark was left. A sign that never goes away.
She started rubbing herself clean but the smell was not going away, "It didn't work. It doesn't work," she muttered and came out of the washroom, sprayed perfume one after another. She wasted 4 bottles on herself but to no avail.
[Phone rings]
She'd been standing in front of her bedroom mirror, brushing her hair, when her phone buzzed on the countertop beside the table. She glanced over the phone call where an unknown number was written in bold black ink across the screen.
"Ms. Jasper," someone's voice appeared from the other side of the phone.
"Yes, I am speaking."
"Your car arrived at the garage this morning. You can pick it up after two days."
[Car horn]
She removed the curtain from the window and saw that Altan was waiting for her downstairs in a police uniform.
"Ok I'll see," she hung up the phone and anxiously looked around for something.
[Horn]
As soon as she heard the sound of the horn again. she almost ran down the stairs but keeping herself normal said, "you didn't need to come here early morning, I would have arranged something."
"If the COME is silent in your words, then you should directly order your man, I'll be happy to serve you miss Esen Jasper," he said and opened the door for her, but she ignored his words and sat in the car.
"Belt," this time again Altan reached out and wanted to put on the belt, but she immediately stopped his hand and put on the belt herself.
"Looks like you have bathed in perfume today," Altan said, hiding his smile.
"We are getting late, Altan O'Connor."
"It's okay you will gradually get used to it," he thought to himself and drove off.
"Why are you with him today? Where is your car?" As soon as they reach the police station, Emily questions Esen, a girl with long blond hair and light green eyes.
"What happened in the Nagosia murder case?" She asked, ignoring Emily's question.
Emily Jackson was Esen Jasper's childhood friend, both studied in the same school and joined the police force together.
"No report yet."
"And the case of Mrs. Matthew's daughter?" She asked again while looking at her picture carefully.
"A team has been appointed and the case is still being worked on. I think she would have a boyfriend," Emily answered, guessing herself.
Esen gave her a silent look and again got busy looking at the picture.
Understanding the meaning of her eyes, Emily explained her point immediately that, "there might be a love scene. Now look, she used to leave home for college but did not go. If she made a false pretext of her mother's death, she got a long leave, so she did that. Mrs. Matthew may be against this relationship. Otherwise, who kills her mother while alive. If there had been a kidnapping, there would have been a ransom call, but that too did not come."
"I think, Rather, no, no I am one hundred and one percent sure that she would have run off and married that guy. Wow, Emily Jackson, wow," clapping in the air, she applauded her own wisdom.
"It's serious Emily," Esen regretted her short-sightedness and brought the picture close to her eyes.
She went silent.
"Are you learning her facial features?" Emily asked Esen again who is looking at the picture carefully.
"This tattoo, I've seen it somewhere," she muttered, placing the picture on the table.
"It was on the hand of yesterday's dead body that was found in the Nagosia forest," Altan said, glancing at the picture and placing the coffee mug in front of her.
"How did you see this tattoo so easily in the picture?" Emily looked at Altan in surprise.
He just smiled at her question.
"How can you say so confidently?" Esen asked Altan.
"Because, I believe, I did. Yes, it was hidden in her wounds but she had the same tattoo," he replied, confidently.
"Where are you going now?" Emily asked in surprise.
"Hospital," Esen said, almost running outside.
"Wait, I'm also coming with you," Emily said, picking up the coffee mug brought by Altan and followed her.
"Stop messing with your IV."
"This IV itches."
"I'm tired of lying here in this stupid bed."
"Have you heard the sounds last night?"
"Like?"
"Like talking in a strange loud voice, crying, and....
And?"
"Howling-I'm pretty sure this place is haunted."
"Haunted?" Everyone Laughs at him.
Esen and Emily stopped at the sound of some patients coming from a room in the hospital. But apparently they were busy reading something on a nameplate.
Dr. Boris Jasper
Pathologist, MD, Ph.D
"Your father is on the ward round Esen," seeing her standing there, a passing doctor told her, and while putting his hand on his nose, he said, "so much perfume."
"I want the postmortem report of the dead body, which was brought here yesterday."
"This way," the doctor took them both into another room where another doctor was looking at something through a microscope. The girl's body was lying on a stretcher nearby. As soon as they entered the room, Esen and Emily felt very cold, they must have increased the temperature of the room due to the presence of the corpse.
"Did you find anything Dr. Smith?" Esen questioned, looking at the corpse.
"Not much, but I think this little information will be useful for you to solve the case," he said while looking at something on the computer.
"She has been dead for about a week, her body is covered with animal claw marks, and her face has been chemically burned, that too after her death," said Dr. Smith, looking into Esen's eyes.
"With chemicals? After death? But why? I mean she was dead then why did they torture a dead body?" Her eyebrows raised and mouth opened in shock.
"For erasing identity, a face is a person's first identity. Finding faces from names is difficult but finding names from faces is very easy. And even easier in the virtual world. Anyway, one thing is even more shocking," Dr. Smith said.
"What?" Esen asked, two lines appeared on her forehead.
"Virus-An unknown virus has also been found in her body."
"Also from her body, means?" Emily asked.
"It means that this is the third case in which that virus has been detected. But nothing can be said about its effect on the body or the mind."
"Did you find out about them from their family members?"
"Yes, on asking the relatives of these dead bodies, they said that they start smelling like dogs from their own body and they suffer from depression and panic attacks," Dr. Smith replied while checking the reports.
"Dog-like smell," on this Esen unknowingly pulled her feet together, cleared her throat and sat straight.
"But the strange thing is that only they say about this dog-smelling thing. While the surrounding people denied it," he continued.
Esen recalled that Mrs. Matthew had mentioned the same symptoms before her daughter, Faryal disappeared.
"I want her DNA reports too," she said while pointing to the dead body.
"Well I will do it. But I want this body for some research work," said Dr. Smith.
"A missing report has also been filed in the police station, so legal action will be taken to keep the body. And most importantly her mother, I mean whoever is her family member you will take permission from them, then the official letter will be issued and then-"
While interrupting Esen's talk, Dr. Smith said that, "don't worry about the official letter, it will be issued. Since the first two bodies related to this case are being researched in different labs, it is easy to get the letter. As far as the permission of their family members," he stopped for a while and then continued his talk, "so you should also try to convince them because this is a deadly virus whose origin is unknown. Where it came from. How it is spreading. Who is behind it? No one knows. But finding a cure is very important."
Esen just nodded her head slightly in response and came out of the room after taking a look at the body.
"What happened? Why are you so worried?" Emily caresses Esen's arm and tries to comfort her, "don't worry, everything will be fine."
The dog-smelling thing still stuck in her mind, she smiled hard at Emily's words that made her teeth show white and her eyes squinty she said, with worry band on her forehead, "hopefully, but I really don't know what to do with this thing" she stick out her tongue a bit chewing on her own lips.
