Chapter 1 Negotiation

After her shift ended at the DH Hotel, Sylvia Su took off the waitress's clothes and changed into her own cloths. She was actually pissed, and that was visible from her pursed lips and scowling face.

"I'll make it clear with David Cheng today. Why was I eliminated? They even blamed me for a bad reputation! What have I done?"

She let out a frustrated sigh. She indeed had a bad reputation, but that was because she was framed. She would deal with the people who set her up later. Now she had to confront David Cheng.

"Humph!" Sylvia Su snorted.

She was zipping up her dress. But halfway up, the zipper got stuck. She took a deep breath and pulled it up again, but the zipper did not move at all.

"Damn it!" Sweat broke out on her forehead. She realized just now that she might have gained weight. Her breasts were a size bigger than before. This was so unfortunate. She was cursing while trying to zip up when she heard the sound of card swiping at the door.

Her eyes went wide as she panicked and hastily pulled the zipper. Due to the excessive pressure she applied, the zipper broke and fell to the floor.

"Who are you?" David Cheng entered the room and found a strange woman. A frown crossed his face. She was holding an open-chested dress from waist up, revealing her slender waist and plump breasts. His eyes went up on her reddened face. In the beginning he thought it was some scam. Then he remembered who the woman was.

What was she doing?

Sylvia Su was at a loss of words. She held the dress tightly and bit her lip. This was not how she had planned to meet him. This was beyond embarrassing.

"Hello, Mr. Cheng. I've heard a lot about you. My name is Sylvia Su." She braced herself before walking forward and reached out to greet him.

He looked at her in disbelief. "Miss Su, I've also heard a lot about you. There's no need to shake hands with you. I don't want to get my hand dirty."

His harsh words stabbed her right through her chest. She gently withdrew her hand. The smile on her face faded. "I'm dirty? Do you even know the truth? You've heard nothing but rumors, and you're judging me. How could you do that?"

"Truth?" David Cheng sneered and looked at her fair waist. "Is it a lie that you appeared in my room not properly dressed? Don't say you've entered the wrong room."

Sylvia Su frowned and clutched her dress hard. "The reason why I've come to your room is about the script competition. I want to talk to you."

David Cheng looked at her coldly. "You want to talk to me with your body?"

She froze. Her lips turned pale and fists turned into rigid balls.

Till now she had been holding back her anger, but now it was going out of her hands. She exhaled and loosened her grip on her dress. It fell down on the floor. She stepped out of it and strode towards him with confident steps. She looked straight into his eyes and said, "Now that you have brought up the matter, let me tell you. I haven't touched a man in my whole life. If you want me to prove it to you, I am here to sleep with you. I want you to know what the truth is."

Then with a swift motion, she flung herself on him and crashed her lips on his. He was stunned at her bold moves. His mouth fell slightly open and she took the opportunity to enter her tongue in his mouth.

Everything after that happened in a blur. He intended to push her away, but once her bare skin made contact with his hand, he realized her vulnerability. Her body was shaking violently. She was in such a vulnerable and wanton state that he could no longer resist himself. Fire ignited in him as he pulled her closer into him.

After their session, she lay on the bed exhausted. Biting her lower lip, she glanced at the man walking out of the bathroom. Her mind was blank now. Things went haywire after she got angry. She lost her virginity to this man.

David Cheng put on his clothes and looked at her. "You said you wanted me to know the difference between what others say and the truth. What did you mean by that?"

Pursing her lips, Sylvia Su peeked inside the quilt, but there was no blood on the white sheet. Her heart skipped a beat. She pulled away the quilt and checked for it several times, but there was nothing. She froze with a face as white as dead.

"Huh!" David Cheng sneered and touched the bed sheet gently. "What do you want to show me?"

"How could this be?" Her mind went blank and her heart was throbbing with a dull pain in her chest. She wanted to prove it to David Cheng that she was not a slut and she was still a virgin. But now she had nothing to say. Her face looked like someone had slapped her hard, and it hurt.

"Nothing. You are really good at it. Maybe we can do this again in the future." After saying so, she raised her head high and left the room.

His eyes followed her until she left the room. Then his eyes caught the quilt that had fallen on the floor. He reached for it and picked it up. There were blood stains on this quilt.

After leaving the room, Sylvia Su felt depressed. She didn't know what went wrong, but she lost the most precious thing for a woman. She didn't know who to talk to about this.

While she was being upset and thinking about her next move, her phone rang. She received the call and found that it was from her best friend, Diana Chu.

Sylvia Su took a deep breath before answering the phone. "Hello."

"How's it going? Did you see him? Have you talked?"

Sylvia Su frowned at her queries. "Well...I want to ask you something." She bit her lips before asking seriously, "Did you bleed at the first time you slept with someone?"

Diana screamed at the other end. "What? Why are you asking about this? Did you..."

"Answer me first. I'm just a little curious." Sylvia interrupted Diana Chu and asked impatiently.

Diana Chu answered in a low voice, "Yes, I did."

Sylvia Su frowned deeper. "What if there's no blood?"

"It's normal, of course. Sometimes if a girl is into fierce sports, such as riding a bicycle, is likely to break the hymen. But those dreadful men won't think so. They won't think it's your first time if you don't bleed. Speaking of this, this makes me so angry. Why do girls have to bleed? But nothing happens to the men. It's unfair!"

After the phone call, Sylvia Su felt even more depressed. She just wanted to go back home and have a good cry.

Just then, her phone vibrated again. She pressed the answer key and answered politely, "Hello?"

"Is this Miss Sylvia Su?"

"Yes, speaking."

"Congratulations on your script winning the first place in the Cheng Group's Million-Dollar Script Competition. I was wondering when you can come to the company to sign the contract."

"What?"

Chapter 2 Extort Money

"Congratulations. When will you be available to sign the contract?"

"What?" Sylvia was at a loss of words and couldn't seem to find words to express her happiness. At first, she felt confused, but then reality struck. When she came to her senses, she gushed and promised to sign the contract early.

Everything appeared like a dream. After she hung up the call, she sent a message to Diana to share the good news with her. She held the phone with a big smile and murmured, "It means David believed me after I slept with him, right?"

She blushed at the realization. Everything happened last night was beyond her imagination. It was like a ridiculous dream.

Sylvia arrived at Cheng Group the next morning.

The dream of her came true when she signed the contract. Everything went well making her mood light up. When it was lunch break, she had lunch with Diana in a nearby restaurant and told her everything about last night.

Diana's eyes lit up when she heard the whole story. She blurted in disbelief, "Mr. Cheng is famous for not being interested in women. We all suspected that he is gay. Oh my God, this is too exciting." She showed a thumbs-up to Sylvia.

"Don't tell anyone," Sylvia said worriedly.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone. You are my best friend. It will ruin your reputation, I know." Diana Chu raised her eyebrows and looked at Sylvia. "But... what about Mr. Cheng? Was he good in bed?"

Sylvia frowned then glared at Diana. "I don't know."

"Yeah right. It was your first time, so you can't compare him with other men. Anyway, this business is worth it. The first guy I met was a jerk. He was ugly, and he was a philanderer. Mr. Cheng is at handsome at least." Diana shook her head in disappointment.

Sylvia looked at her annoyed. "Thank you for your help!"

"Well, no wonder that was the reason behind you asking me if I was bleeding for the first time. Don't worry too much about that. How should I say this? The fact is he won't care about it. It could be your first time, but he won't care about you. It's just a deal. Give and take policy," said Diana.

"Diana!" Sylvia snapped. Her temples were throbbing because of what Diana said. Although she was right in a way, she'd give her best friend a good beating for telling the obvious so openly.

"It's almost work time. I'll leave now." Diana retreated immediately and disappeared without giving Sylvia much time to react.

Later, Sylvia received the down payment for the script from the Cheng Group. With that, all her disappointment swept away from her.

Sylvia couldn't believe at first that she was finally the owner of three hundred thousand dollars. It reminded her of the day when she used to treasure thirty dollars to the most. She found an ATM nearby and withdrew ten thousand dollars. She was happy that finally she could throw money on the landlord's face. But destiny seemed to have something else in its store.

A man suddenly ran over to her and snatched her bag from her before running away. Sylvia froze on her spot, stunned.

He stole her bag!

Her money!

"Robber! Robber!" Sylvia screamed at the top of her lungs and chased after the man. Both her card and cell phone were in that bag! She couldn't lose her bag.

If it was before, she would have run fast and caught the man by now. But she just couldn't run fast this time. She was sore and paining, and couldn't move her legs. She chased after the robber all the way to the roadside, and the robber climbed over the guardrail and broke into the traffic. Sylvia also climbed over the guardrail regardless of her hurting.

A screeching sound came from near.

A car came to an abrupt halt, creating a dark track in the process. It stopped just in front of Sylvia and almost hit her.

Sylvia's face turned pale with fear. Her legs went limp and she tumbled over in front of the car. The robber escaped. She was so frightened that she collapsed in an instant, and hot tears streamed down her face.

The car's window rolled down, revealing David's handsome face. "You've worked so hard just to see me again."

Sylvia stood up harshly and wiped off her tears before snapping, "What are you talking about? You are flattering yourself. What are you doing?"

All of a sudden, David pulled Sylvia closer and she came crashing on his chest.

"Jerk, let go of me!

What are you doing?"

Sylvia tried her best to loosen his grip on her, but it was useless. She was pulled into the car by David. The moment the door was closed, he gritted his teeth and said, "It's dangerous to climb over the guardrail. Don't you know that?"

"It's none of your business." Sylvia glared at him angrily.

David let go of her arm and sneered, "Miss Su, are you planning to extort money from me by feigning injury?"

"Extort money from you?" Sylvia was annoyed by his ignorance. She pointed out of the car. "I was robbed. Didn't you see I was chasing after someone?"

Even if she told him the truth, David didn't believe her. He stared at her unconvinced.

"Stop the car." Sylvia reached over to the driver's seat and asked him to stop the car. "Please pull over. Thank you for your help!"

"Keep driving," ordered David.

Sylvia glared at him. "What do you want? I want to get out!"

David checked the time without responding to her.

"I want to get out of the car! Can't you hear me? If you don't let me go, I'll extort money from you and you won't be able to afford to pay for it." Sylvia raised her voice. His attitude was getting on her nerves.

David raised his chin and said nothing. The driver continued to drive silently.

His attitude frustrated her. She huffed and turned her head to look out the window. This was great. First she lost her bag and now, she was being treated as a hostage. Her mood turned sour.

About twenty minutes later, the car came to a stop.

David observed Sylvia frowning, then told the driver, "Have a general check-up." He didn't wait after that and got out of the car.

"Okay." The driver nodded.

"No!" Sylvia furrowed her eyebrows and straightened her back. "David Cheng, don't pretend to be a good person, because you aren't one. You brought me here for no reason. So, you owe me an apology. Hey, wait. Where are you going?"

Sylvia reached for the door, intending to chase after David, but the door was locked. The driver turned and looked at her apologetically. "Pardon me. I can't let you go. Mr. Cheng ordered me to take you to the hospital for a checkup."

Sylvia didn't answer but tears welled up and streamed down her face. The driver ignited the engine and the car took off. She sobbed the whole time at her helplessness and finally fell asleep unknowingly.

Chapter 3 Compensation

"How long are you going to sleep?"

Sylvia opened her eyes with a start at the voice. It was already dark outside. The car was parked before a villa and David, sitting beside her, was staring at her with undivided attention.

"Where am I?" Sylvia asked groggily.

"This is my place," David answered.

Sylvia frowned. "Can you arrange a car for me? Or lend me some money so that I can take a taxi home?"

"What trick are you trying to play?" A trace of vigilance appeared in David's eyes.

Sylvia rolled her eyes. "I'm not playing any trick. Do you always think of me as a scheming person?"

"Was it just an accident that you came to my hotel room yesterday?" David sneered. "What do you want from me today? Just tell me."

"I don't want..." Sylvia was past the enthusiasm of explaining herself. How could this person be so arrogant? Perhaps, he always had come across people who wanted to get something from him. But he couldn't perceive that she would also be one of them. That was just wrong.

She took a deep breath and requested again, "Give me some money."

"How much?" The corner of David's mouth twitched and his face turned gloomy. Now he was completely convinced that she was also one of those who are just greedy for his money.

Sylvia raised her index finger. "That's all I need."

"One million? You're indeed greedy." David snorted before taking out a check from his pocket and signing it. He handed the check to her and said, "Here is five hundred thousand dollars. I'll give you the other half after you sign the confidential contract. Get out."

Sylvia was stunned. She rejected the check and muttered, "Your car didn't hit me. So, I don't want that much."

David fumbled for a moment, his gaze dropped on the check in his hand. His face darkened after a while. "You want ten million dollars? It seems that I have underestimated your greed for money."

Sylvia wanted to throw a tantrum at him, but she thought it was a waste of time. She reached out and took a hundred dollar bill from his wallet. "Thank you for this. I'm leaving now. Goodbye!"

David was flabbergasted for a few seconds. However, soon he came back to his senses and a rare smile escaped his lips. He looked at her receding figure with mirth and murmured, "I underestimated you."

Then he called his assistant and ordered, "Help me with one thing."

By that time, Sylvia had already taken a taxi. She asked the driver to drop her at the location where she had been robbed. The taxi took her exactly there before she began searching along the road where the robber had escaped. After searching for a while, unexpectedly she found a bag hidden inside the bush. Except for her mobile phone and cash, everything else was still there. Fortunately, she didn't withdraw all her money from the ATM, which was somewhat comforting.

She bought a new phone, inserted a new SIM card and called Diana on her way back. She told her everything what had happened today.

"Sylvia, don't you think you are destined to be with David? I mean, you keep bumping on him," Diana commented after listening to everything.

"Even if there is predestination, David is my bad predestination. In his eyes, I am nothing but a swindler who tries every means to get benefits from him." Sylvia sighed reminding about David mistreatment.

"But you can still demand something from him. After all, his car hit you. In my opinion, he is a good man."

"Trust me, there's nothing good in him. Last two days were my worst nightmare. The only good thing happened was my contract signature."

"Actually, I have a suggestion," Diana said. "You can utilize this opportunity to crack some business deal with David. Look, if you can take advantage of him, Emily won't be able to bully you again."

Hearing the name of Emily Jiang stung Sylvia's heart. She quickly changed the topic. "I don't want to take advantage of David. You can do it if you want." Her mind ran to the night when they had had sex. Her face flushed, and limbs turned limp.

"Let me analyze it for you. First of all, David has been single for many years, then you two slept together. So, whenever you'll appear in front of him, his mind will replay that night's events. So, think of it this way. If you go to him a few more times, he might..."

"Okay, stop! You are such a lascivious woman!" Sylvia's face was already red, and hastily hung up the phone.

She was blushing looking at the screen at remembering the night with David, which was when the phone rang again. An unknown number displayed on the screen.

She received the call. "Hello?"

"Am I talking to Miss Sylvia Su?" A gentleman's voice came from the other end of the line.

"Yes speaking. Who are you?"

"I'm Mr. David Cheng's assistant. My name is Andrew Meng. I want to meet you and have a detailed conversation about the dispute between Mr. Cheng and you. Are you free tomorrow?"

Sylvia furrowed her brow in bewilderment. "Dispute? What dispute? Today's matter is over. Please tell him that if he really wants to compensate me, he can do that with himself. Thank you very much."

Sylvia hung up the phone without waiting for his response. She didn't know how a person could be this shameless! He had this audacity to think every single person on earth was after his money. Such an egoist!

Once she arrived at her apartment, she straight away went to the bathroom, and turned on the shower.

At this moment, her phone dinged. It was a notification from WeChat.

David sent her a friend request on WeChat.
