The new discovery.

Peace pov.

I knew that I was doomed when my mother slammed the pregnancy slip on my face.

She stomped her foot on the floor and hissed out loudly.

Her eyeballs changed into bloody red and tears gathered beneath her eyelid.

She looked down at me and sniffed out so hard.

She paced backwards and forwards before sitting on the plastic chair.

"What do you want me to do now, peace?

"What will I tell your father?".

She asked that two questions and I shamefully looked down.

Tears has started flowing down my chin and my forehead were covered with sweat.

"....Answer me! My mother barked at me and I trembled with fear.

"I....I ....I am sorry , mother". I pleaded but my mother is not having it.

She rushed down at me all of a sudden and

hit my back.

I rolled on the floor, while crying out painfully.

"You are sorry right?

it is sorry that will cater for your pregnancy and it is sorry that will take care of your unborn child". My mum said after hitting me before moving out of the room.

Where she went to ....is what I did not know.

My new discovery came as a shock.

I didn't know that I was pregnant all these while.

I've been experiencing nausea and body weakness for over a month now.

I thought it is school stress that is disturbing me,

Not knowing that I was pregnant.

How would I move on with my scholarship examination?

What would become of my life, my education, my dream, And everything.

How would I face my peers?

What would my father say?

How would I explain what happened to me?

How would our family feel?

What would my siblings think of me?

I am doomed.

Really doomed.

I am a big disappointment.

Different thoughts run through my mind as I wrapped my arms around my body.

I was scared and feared my father.

The courage to face him is not there.

I cried my eyes out and became so weak.

I drifted off to sleep.

Splaaasssssssssshhhhh.....

I woke up to a drained body,

My body was full of water, And my mother is sitting in my front.

Her face was swollen and disappointmeng were written all over her face.

She move closer to me and dropped the bowl in her hand.

"You are sleeping right,

"You are sleeping when I can't sleep as your mother.

"Don't you know how huge your offence is?

"I left for some minutes, And you are here sleeping.

"Has the pregnancy hormones starting to set in?

"I don't even have a problem with that, but I have a problem with a shameful daughter like you, that has decided to disgrace herself not me.

"I won't opened my eyes and watched you ruined the reputation that I and my husband has built all these years.

What came over teens of nowadays.

"I don't want to curse you because if I do, you won't prosper in your life anymore.

"Now, since you've decided to disgrace yourself, stand up!. She instructed and I shakingly stand up.

She looked at me with disdain from my head to my toe.

I've never seen my mother with such disdainful look before.

My mother is a loving type that cherished and adored me.alot.

We always joke and chatted with each other but looking at the present situation of things is bad.

She brought out her phone and placed a call to her younger sister which said that she will be there in five minutes.

My mother buried her head in her laps and cried out loud.

My heart couldn't bear the burden that I set for my mother but I had no choice.

I have disappointed her.

Her younger sister (olivia)flung the door open , And walked into the house in an hurry.

"Is it true? She asked after sitting beside my mother.

She grabbed her two hands and hugged her while my mother wept on her shoulder.

"It's okay, sister. Let me face your daughter".

"Peace, is it true? Are you pregnancy?". She asked with a "it can't be true " face but I slowly nodded my head.

She exclaimed and her lively face turned into a moody one.

She rubbed her face two times,

Sighed and stare into my eyes.

"How did it happened?

"Who is the father of the baby?". She asked and my mind drifted off to the day Daniel visited me at school.

Daniel is an apprentice of jinik painter,(A British founder of paint which majored in the production of different paints.

He has also applied for a school Admission, And pending the time that he will gain Admission into the school. He used that

opportunity to learn the making of paint from scratch.

We met each other when I was on my way to the nearest store and he bumped into me.

I got frustrated that day but he pleaded to me And I forgive him.

I wanted to leave that day but he volunteered to accompany me to the store.

He was a stranger to me but he insisted in following me.

I let him be and we started discussing about various things,

I got to know about the work that he is into, And also got to know about his personal life.

It all happened in a day right?

I don't know the zeal that took over me that day that made me spill everything about me to him.

He is a great conversationalist and his manners of crafting words caught me off my feet.

We went our different ways that day and as week runs into months,

We keep seeing each other and before I know what was happening...

I had fallen in love with him.

I am in my 12th grade which is preparing for her SAT examination, because I am a brilliant student. And I was promised a scholarship If I passed all of my papers in flying colours.

Now that a baby has gotten into the midst of everything.....

What should I do?.

"Don't you hear me?". Olivia screamed at me when my mind has drifted off from her question.

"How does this happen?". She repeated the question and I closed my eyes.

My emotions got the better part of me.

Olivia pov.

She closed her eyes when I repeated the question .

I was disappointed at the brightest daughter of my elder sister.

Our hopes were all high over her

But , she all let us down!.

"Are you deaf?". My sister(which is her mother) barked at her.

She opened her eyes and responded to us.

Peace pov.

"Daniel impregnated me". I responded with a shaky voice.

"Who is Daniel? My mum asked but I looked away.

I could remember that fateful evening ,

I had closed at school , And decided to wait for Daniel at the usual spot.

Anytime I closed from school,

I will wait for him at the park which is situated at the third building after my school.

The park has a deserted corner that people hardly pass by.

It serve as a quite place for our discussion. And we always discussed about school activities there . We even professed about the love that we had for each other.

He knew the time that I normally close from school.

So, he is aware of everything about me.

I waited for five minutes and he didn't showed up at our usual spot.

I got worried and also pissed off at the same time.

I was about to leave when he came to the building with a swollen face.

I asked of what happened and the reason for his lateness.

And he said that ;

His father is dead!

I was shocked and imagined the loneliness that will overcome him because of the death of his father.

His mother will be the person to take over the responsibilities of the family and it will be so tiring and frustrating.

It reminded me.of a widowed mother movie that I watched during last year. The woman struggled to cater for her family.

The responsibility is overwhelming and at some point, she will broke down in tears and cried her eyes out.

She will Later dust herself up and went on as if nothing happened.

This is the state that Daniel found himself too.

His eyes were swollen and he looked so weak.

I pulled him over and hugged him, while he sobbed on my shoulder.

It was a terrifying sight to see him in that mood.

We stayed like that for ten minutes before his hand brushed against my breast.

Normally, I would have pushed him away but how could I do that to a weak man already.

He might make the mistake of touching my breast.

I let him be ....

But he repeated the process.

I tried to push him away but he stopped me halfway.

"Please, don't move! He said with a weak voice but I let my guards down.

He released himself from my arm and cried out loud.

I was surprised at his sudden outburst and wiped his face.

I held his hand in between my two hands and consoled him.

He stared deeply into my eyes and move closer to me.

I let my emotions take over me,

And....

The last thing I saw , is his pink lips brushing against my lips.

We kissed passionately for a while and my brain cells picked up at the moment, sending several waves to the sensitive part of my body.

He touched my breast and kissed the sensitive parts of my neck that I couldn't help it than to moaned out loud.

I have never felt that way before, maybe because I've not been touched before.

He worked on my body and carried me into the hidden part of the deserted place.

All I wanted to feel is how the experience is ....

He laid me down and slowly penetrated into my vagina.

I didn't know what came over me.

Is it because I loved him too much or because I haven't experienced how a sex is....

I let out a loud scream and he covered my mouth.

Tears rolled down my face as he pounded hardrer into me.

He released (followed with a hard grunt) and kissed my face, before laying his back on the floor and more tears flowed down my chin.

"I'm sorry". He said

"You're sorry.

"Is this what our relationship is all about?

"You promised never to touch me.

"What have we done! I asked with a serious look.

"I know that I've messed up with your feelings, but baby.....

"Baby ,what? How would we prevent this! I asked in more serious tone.

"We will get a contraceptive". He suggested

"A contraceptive, wow! You are a boss in situation like this. You even know the next plan before I accept it.

Does it mean that you had everything planned from the beginning?.

"Come off it, peace. I didn't know that it will lead to this.

"What even came over me? He said

"What would happen now?". I asked

"I am coming, I promise you , love. I will be right back". He said and left afterwards.

I waited for twenty more minutes but didn't see him.

I don't know the type of contraceptive to buy, And the only pharmacy that we had In our place.

Their Attendant knows my parents very well.

What would I tell their attendant that I want to use a contraceptive for.

I went back home that day and my mother didn't suspect anything.

The following day,

He came back with a contraceptive in the evening.

I lashed out at him for delaying me yesterday evening and He apologized to me.

I felt pity for him .... looking at his facial gesture after I shouted at him.

I used the contraceptive and hugged him.

We both promised to keep it a secret between each other and went our ways that day.

After that day,

I NEVER see Daniel again!

I went to his boss place ....and was told that he was absent for a while.

He once mentioned his home address to me but I haven't visited his place before.

I thought the contraceptive I used has prevented the pregnancy.

Not knowing that I didn't prevent anything.

My sister that asked about Daniel and the discovery of the pregnancy will lead to the search of Daniel.

Where exactly is Daniel?.

A visit to Daniel's house.

"Who is Daniel, And where is he living?". My mum is the person that asked this particular question.

"Daniel is my friend!.

"We all know that he is your friend, if he is not your friend, He wouldn't have impregnated you in the first place. I just wanted to see him before your dad comes back from work ". My mum said and shake her head.

"I have not been to his house before ".

"What?".

"You haven't been to his house before.

Does it mean that you both slept with each other in the air or where exactly does it happen, foolish girl. How did you guys did it?".

"It's okay, my sister. Please, let's solve this matter amicably even though it's going to take a toll on everybody. Olivia said.

"We ...we always met at another place. I know his boss place".

"Hmmmm....wonders shall never cease, my mind is at peace knowing that my daughter is in school, not knowing that she is in the arms of another man. How foolish of your school Authority? Such negligence cannot be ignored".

"Okay , peace. Can we go to his boss place?". Olivia interrupted and I nodded my head.

We all left the house for his boss place but didn't meet Daniel in shop.

His boss gave us the address of his house even though, it's different from the address that he gave to me.

My mother thanked him and we all left for his parents house.

We got to the third building In the street of Munda and it lead us to a neighbourhood

The Neighbourhood building is built into five different apartments and it seemed that they rented the place out to them.

My mum got to the passage,

Looked back and shake her head.

We both stayed at the entrance while my mother went in.

"Good afternoon oo" she shouted and a young woman came out of the first room.

"Good afternoon, how may I help you?". She asked and my mother asked of Daniel.

"Daniel, I don't think he is at home o, but wait, let me check if his father is around". The young lady said.

Wait! Did she just mentioned "his father".

He told me that the man is dead!.

Is this lady sure that it is the Daniel that we are talking about....

After a while,

An average man of not less than 50 years came out of the room.

He looked agile and we all exchanged pleasantries.

I was shocked beyond redemption because I am looking at an agile man in front of me , instead of a dead man that Daniel claimed.

This guy tricked me,

And I've been a fool.

"How can I help you?". The man asked.

"We came for a VERY important matter"

"Very important,( The man looked around , sighed and lead us inside).

We all walked inside the room and it is occupied with chairs, and an old television with a Radio set.

We all sat down and my mum went straight to the point.

"Sir, I just discovered that my daughter is pregnant today. And as a disappointed mother, I asked for the person that is responsible for this pregnancy.

My daughter confessed and said that Daniel owns the pregnancy". My mum said looking towards the direction of the man.

"Are you sure about this? His father asked .

"Yes sir". My mother responded.

"It can't be true, I'm sorry, This came as a sudden shock to me because my son knows our capacity of living in this house. He knows about the daily struggle of feeding and paying for different expenses. How could he do this to me?

I need to confirm this, First". He said bringing out his small phone.

He dialled Daniel's number and placed it on his left ear.

He told him to meet him at home without divulging the reason to him.

He sighed after dropping the call and also called his mother to meet him at home.

Everywhere is tense and my mother's face is still gloomy.

After waiting for twenty minutes.

Both mother and son came back home.

After two months,

I got to see Daniel's face back.

He stopped communicating with me after I used the contraceptive.

He was shocked to see me but slowly walk inside.

His mother greeted us and his husband explained everything to her.

"Is it true?". His mother asked.

"It's just once, Dad. I only slept with her once. And I don't know if she has slept with another person. I might not be responsible for the pregnancy, afterall she used contraceptive the following day". He responded and my mother's face was written in shock.

She looked towards my direction but I looked away.

"You even used contraceptive. No problem, what are we going to do with the issue of this pregnancy?". My mother asked.

"I'm sorry to say this,

This came as a burden and total shock to us.

We trained our son in a godly and disciplined way.

I don't know the reason behind his stupid behaviour.

How did he expect us to feed the family and also a pregnant girl? His father thundered while his mother opened her mouth wide in shock.

His father run to his side and dealt blows across his body.

My mother and Olivia rushed to stopped him.

"It's okay sir, we are all disappointed at this attitude from the both of them.

They only sleep with each other without considering the consequences.

You didn't have any job to feed your unborn baby, Neither are you prepared emotionally and mentally to raise a kid.

Raising a kids came with alot of planning.

I don't know what my husband will do or say to me.

I have failed as a mother.

I hope this doesn't break her father into pieces?". My mum said and hot tears streamed down my chin.

Everyone is truly disappointed in me.

Daniel's father and mother promised to come to our house the following day, while we left immediately.

The next problem is how to face my dad.

That man will really tear me into pieces.
