DOMINANT AND RUTHLESS ALPHA

Author: : shedrack
Genre: Werewolf
"Dominant and Ruthless Alpha" is a story about Kane, an alpha werewolf, who discovers that his mate is a human woman named Sophie. Kane is a dominant and ruthless leader of his pack, and his possessive nature makes it difficult for him to balance his desire to protect and dominate Sophie with his responsibilities as a leader. The story explores the complexities of a werewolf-human relationship, the struggle for power and dominance, and the consequences of revenge.

Chapter 1 Fated mates

Kane stood on the edge of the forest, his keen senses alert for any sign of danger. His pack relied on him to keep them safe, and he took that responsibility seriously. As an alpha werewolf, he was a dominant and respected leader, feared by all who knew him. But despite his reputation, Kane was not invincible. He had weaknesses, just like any other wolf.

It was his weakness for his fated mate that Kane feared the most.

"Kane, what are you doing out here?" A deep voice interrupted Kane's thoughts, and he turned to see his second-in-command, Logan, approaching.

"Just keeping watch," Kane replied, his eyes scanning the trees for any sign of movement. "We can't afford to let our guard down, not with the rival pack so close."

Logan nodded, his expression serious. "Agreed. But you can't be out here all night. You need to rest, Kane. You're running yourself ragged."

"I'll rest when we're safe," Kane said, his tone brooking no argument. "Until then, I need to stay alert."

Logan sighed, knowing better than to argue with Kane when he was in this mood. "Fine. But at least let me keep watch for a while. You need to take a break."

Kane hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Alright. But don't let your guard down, Logan. We can't afford any mistakes."

Logan nodded again and took up position on the edge of the forest, his eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of danger. Kane watched him for a moment, then turned and headed back to the pack's camp.

As he walked, Kane's thoughts turned once again to his fated mate. He had known for years that he would eventually find her, but he had never expected her to be a human. Humans were fragile, and they had no place in the world of werewolves. But fate had other plans, and Kane knew he could not defy the pull of the mate bond.

"Kane!" A voice called out, and Kane looked up to see Sophie, the human woman who was his fated mate, approaching.

"Sophie," Kane said, trying to keep his voice neutral. He knew he had to be careful around her, to keep his possessive instincts in check.

"What are you doing up so late?" Sophie asked, her brown eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Just keeping watch," Kane replied, his gaze wandering over her delicate features. She was so small and fragile, and yet he knew she was stronger than she looked. "What about you? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

Sophie shrugged. "I couldn't sleep. Too many thoughts swirling around in my head."

Kane nodded, sensing that there was more to her restlessness than she was letting on. "Is something bothering you?"

Sophie hesitated, then shook her head. "No, it's nothing. Just...thinking about everything that's happened."

Kane knew better than to push her. Sophie was still getting used to the world of werewolves, and he didn't want to overwhelm her. "Alright. But you should try to get some rest. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow."

Sophie nodded, then hesitated for a moment. "Kane, can I ask you something?"

Kane tensed, sensing that this was not going to be a simple question. "Of course."

Sophie took a deep breath, then blurted out, "Do you ever think about leaving the pack? Running away with me, and starting a new life somewhere else?"

Kane was taken aback by the question. He had never considered leaving his pack, his family, for anyone or anything. But as he looked into Sophie's eyes, he felt a twinge of doubt. Could he risk everything for her?

Before he could answer, a scream echoed through the forest, shattering the peaceful night. Kane's instincts kicked in, and he turned to face the direction of the sound. He could sense danger, and feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"Stay here," he growled, then took off towards the source of the scream.

Sophie watched him go, her heart pounding with fear. She knew she was in danger just by being here, but she couldn't bear the thought of letting Kane face whatever was out there alone. With a deep breath, she followed him into the darkness, praying that they would make it out alive.

Kane ran through the forest, his senses on high alert. He could hear the sounds of a struggle ahead, and he knew that his pack was in danger. He could also sense the presence of the rival pack, their scent thick in the air.

As he approached the scene of the fight, he saw that his pack was outnumbered. The rival pack had more wolves, and they were stronger than Kane's pack. But Kane was not one to back down from a fight, especially not when his family was in danger.

"Kane, over here!" Logan called out, his voice filled with urgency.

Kane raced over to where Logan was fighting off two rival wolves, his teeth bared in a snarl. He launched himself at the wolves, his powerful muscles propelling him forward. The wolves snarled back, their teeth flashing in the moonlight.

Kane could feel his fangs sinking into flesh, the taste of blood filling his mouth. He fought with all his strength, his pack rallying around him. They were outnumbered, but they were not going down without a fight.

Sophie watched from the edge of the clearing, her heart racing with fear. She had never seen a werewolf fight before, and it was both terrifying and awe-inspiring. But she knew she had to help, and had to do something to protect the man she loved.

With a deep breath, Sophie stepped forward, her hands glowing with a soft white light. She didn't know what she was doing, but she knew that she had to try. She raised her hands, and a burst of energy shot out toward the rival pack.

The wolves stumbled back, their eyes wide with surprise. Kane turned to look at Sophie, his eyes filled with shock. He had never seen a human use magic before, and he couldn't help but be impressed.

The rival pack, however, was not so easily deterred. They regrouped, snarling and snapping at Kane's pack. The fight continued, the sound of teeth and claws tearing at flesh echoing through the forest.

Sophie watched in horror as Logan was knocked to the ground, a rival wolf standing over him with bared teeth. She knew she had to act fast, had to save him before it was too late.

With fierce determination, Sophie raised her hands again, her fingers glowing with intense light. She focused all her energy on the wolf, and a burst of energy shot out from her hands.

The wolf howled in pain, stumbling back from Logan's prone form. Sophie rushed forward, her hands still glowing with magic. She raised her hands again, ready to defend herself and Logan against any further attacks.

But the rival pack had had enough. They retreated into the darkness, their eyes glowing with hatred and anger. Kane and his pack watched them go, their eyes still blazing with fury.

Sophie rushed over to Logan, her hands still glowing with magic. She placed her hands over his wounds, and the magic flowed into him, healing his injuries. Logan groaned, his eyes fluttering open.

"Are you okay?" Sophie asked, her voice filled with concern.

Logan nodded, his eyes filled with awe. "That was...incredible. I've never seen anything like it."

Sophie smiled weakly, feeling drained from the exertion. "I don't know what came over me. I just...had to do something."

Kane approached them, his eyes fixed on Sophie. "You saved us," he said, his voice soft.

Sophie felt a flush of warmth spread through her at his words. She had never felt so alive, so powerful. She looked up at Kane, and for a moment, it felt like they were the only two in the world.

But then the reality of the situation hit her, and she knew that they were not out of danger yet. The rival pack was still out there, still a threat to their safety.

"We need to get back to camp," Kane said, his eyes scanning the darkness. "We can't stay out here any longer."

Sophie nodded, her heart still pounding with fear. She knew that she had to be careful around Kane, to keep her feelings for him in check. But as they walked back to camp together, she couldn't help but feel like she was exactly where she was meant to be.

Chapter 2 Rival pack

The attack from the rival pack had left Kane and his pack on edge. They knew that the danger was far from over, and that they needed to be prepared for any further attacks. Kane had ordered his pack to stay alert, to keep watch for any signs of the rival pack's movements.

Sophie had been shaken by the attack, but she was determined not to let her fear control her. She had seen firsthand how dangerous the world of werewolves could be, but she also knew that she had a role to play in protecting her fated mate and his pack.

As she sat by the campfire with Kane, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that the rival pack was still out there, waiting for their next opportunity to strike. She also knew that her presence put Kane and his pack in even greater danger.

"Kane, I'm sorry," she said suddenly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Kane looked up from where he was sharpening his claws, his eyes fixed on her. "Sorry for what?"

"For being a burden," Sophie said, her voice trembling. "For putting you and your pack in danger. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't be in this mess."

Kane set aside his claws and moved closer to her, his eyes softening. "Sophie, listen to me. You are not a burden. You are my mate, and I will protect you with my life. As for the rival pack, they would have attacked us whether or not you were here. They are our enemies, and they will stop at nothing to destroy us."

Sophie nodded, feeling a sense of comfort in Kane's words. She knew that he would do everything in his power to protect her, and the thought gave her some measure of peace.

But even as she sat there with Kane, she could feel the eyes of the rival pack watching them from the darkness. She knew that they were being watched, that the enemy was waiting for the perfect time to strike.

The next morning, Kane and his pack set out to search for any signs of the rival pack's movements. They moved through the forest, their senses alert for any signs of danger. Kane led the way, his eyes scanning the trees for any sign of movement.

As they walked, they came across a human woman who was being held captive by a group of wolves. Kane could sense the fear in her, and he knew that they had to help her. He signaled to his pack, and they moved in to rescue her.

The woman's name was Emma, and she was terrified. She had been held captive by the rival pack for weeks, and she had lost all hope of ever being rescued. But when Kane and his pack showed up, everything changed.

"Are you okay?" Kane asked, his voice gentle.

Emma nodded, her eyes filling with tears. "Thank you. Thank you so much."

Kane could feel the pull of the mate bond, and he knew that Emma was his fated mate. He felt a sense of relief, knowing that he had finally found her. But he also felt a sense of dread. He knew that the rival pack would stop at nothing to get Emma back, and that their lives were now in even greater danger.

As they made their way back to camp with Emma in tow, Kane knew that they had to prepare for the inevitable confrontation with the rival pack. He knew that they were outnumbered, but he also knew that they had to fight to protect their loved ones.

Sophie watched Kane, her heart filled with a mixture of fear and admiration. She had never seen him so determined, so focused. She knew that he was willing to risk everything to protect her and his pack, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe.

But as they approached the camp, they could sense that something was wrong. The air was thick with the scent of danger, and they knew that the rival pack was nearby.

Kane signaled to his pack, and they moved into position. They could hear the sound of footsteps approaching, and they knew that the enemy was getting closer.

With a fierce determination, Kane and his pack stood ready to face the enemy. They would fight to protect their loved ones, to defend their home, and to uphold their honor as werewolves. The final confrontation with the rival pack was about to begin.

The tension in the air was palpable as the rival pack emerged from the shadows. Their leader, a massive black wolf with eyes as red as fire, stepped forward, his snout wrinkled in a snarl.

Kane and his pack stood their ground, their eyes fixed on the rival pack. They were outnumbered, but they were determined to protect their loved ones and their home.

The rival pack launched themselves at Kane and his pack, their teeth bared and their claws extended. The sound of snarls and growls filled the air as the two packs clashed in a fierce battle.

Sophie watched from the sidelines, her heart racing with fear. She had never seen a fight like this before, and it was both terrifying and awe-inspiring. She knew that she had to stay back, to let Kane and his pack do what they needed to do.

But as the fight raged on, Sophie could feel the energy building inside of her. She knew that she had to help, that she couldn't just stand there and watch. With a deep breath, she raised her hands, and a burst of energy shot out towards the rival pack.

The rival wolves stumbled back, their eyes wide with surprise. Kane and his pack took advantage of the distraction, launching a fierce counterattack. Teeth and claws tore through flesh as the two packs fought with all their might.

Sophie could feel the energy flowing through her, the power of the magic coursing through her veins. She focused all her energy on the rival pack, and a burst of energy shot out from her hands.

The rival pack howled in pain, stumbling back from Kane and his pack. The fight had turned in their favor, and they knew that they had the upper hand.

With a fierce determination, they continued to fight, driving the rival pack back into the darkness. They could hear the sound of their enemies retreating, their howls of pain echoing through the forest.

Kane and his pack stood their ground, their eyes scanning the darkness for any signs of movement. They knew that the rival pack would be back, that this was just the beginning of a long and dangerous war.

Sophie rushed over to Kane, her heart racing with adrenaline. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

Kane nodded, his eyes fixed on the darkness. "We're okay, for now. But we have to be prepared. This is far from over."

Sophie nodded, feeling a sense of dread wash over her. She knew that they were in for a long and dangerous fight, but she also knew that she had to do everything in her power to protect her fated mate and his pack.

As they made their way back to camp, Sophie couldn't help but feel a sense of determination. She knew that she had a role to play in this fight, that she had a part to play in protecting her loved ones. She was ready to do whatever it took to help them win this war.

Chapter 3 He's a killer

Logan found Sophie sitting alone by the river, staring blankly at the water. He walked up to her and cleared his throat.

"Hey, Sophie," he said softly.

Sophie jumped, startled. "Oh, Logan. Hi."

Logan sat down next to her. "How are you holding up?" he asked, concern etched on his face.

Sophie sighed. "I'm fine, I guess. It's just...hard, you know? Being mated to Kane."

Logan nodded. "Yeah, I know. Look, Sophie, I need to be real with you. Your life is on the line here. You're a human, you don't have any special abilities like we do. Kane is ruthless, he'll stop at nothing to protect what's his. And that includes you."

Sophie's eyes widened in fear. "What are you saying, Logan? What do you have in mind?"

Logan hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I'm saying that you need to be careful. Watch your back. Kane is a killer, Sophie. Killing is his hobby. He's killed humans before, just for fun."

Sophie gasped. "What? That's...that's insane. Why hasn't anyone done anything about it?"

Logan shrugged. "What can we do? He's the Alpha. He's in charge. But I'm warning you, Sophie. You need to be careful. Your life could be in danger."

Sophie nodded slowly, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. "Okay...okay, I understand. I'll be careful."

Logan put a hand on her shoulder. "Good. And if you ever need anything, just let me know. I'm here for you, Sophie."

Sophie gave him a small smile. "Thanks, Logan. I appreciate it."

Logan stood up and started to walk away. "Just be careful, Sophie," he called over his shoulder. "And don't trust Kane. He's not who you think he is."

Sophie watched him go, her heart pounding in her chest. What did Logan mean? What was he planning? She had no idea, but one thing was for sure: she was in way over her head.

As Sophie sat there by the river, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty, she knew she had to talk to Logan more about her fated mate Kane. She couldn't just sit back and do nothing, especially if her life was in danger.

With a determined look on her face, Sophie stood up and made her way to Logan's cabin. She knocked on the door and waited for him to answer.

"Hey, Sophie," Logan greeted her, opening the door. "What's up?"

Sophie took a deep breath. "Logan, I need to know more about Kane. You said he's not who I think he is. What did you mean by that?"

Logan sighed, stepping aside to let her into his cabin. "Sophie, Kane is a dangerous man. He's killed humans before, just for fun. He's ruthless, and he doesn't care who gets hurt in the process."

Sophie's eyes widened in horror. "But...why? Why would he do that?"

Logan shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe it's just his nature. But the point is, you need to be careful, Sophie. You can't trust him. Not even for a second."

Sophie felt a knot form in her stomach. "But...he's my fated mate. I'm supposed to be with him, right?"

Logan shook his head. "That doesn't mean anything, Sophie. Just because you're fated to be together doesn't mean he's a good person. You need to think about your safety, your life."

Sophie felt tears welling up in her eyes. "I don't know what to do, Logan. I want to be with him, but I don't want to die."

Logan put a hand on her shoulder. "I know, Sophie. I wish there was an easy answer for you, but there isn't. All I can tell you is to be careful, and to trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is."

Sophie nodded slowly, taking in his words. She knew he was right, but it was hard to accept. The man she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with was a killer. How was she supposed to deal with that?

"Thanks, Logan," she said softly, turning to leave. "I'll...I'll try to be careful."

Logan watched her go, his heart heavy with worry. He knew things were only going to get worse from here on out, but he couldn't do anything to stop it. All he could do was hope that Sophie would be okay, and that Kane wouldn't hurt her.

Was he goal simply just to protect Sophie? There was more to it.

Logan had a smirk on his face after Sophie had finally disappeared from his sight.

"Kane, huh?" He chuckled. "Let's see who's gonna have possession over you first".

Logan was about to leave his cabin when Kane suddenly walked in.

"What's up?" He asked with a sly smile.

"Logan, I think I need some rest. Didn't know why the moon goddess chose a human to be my mate." Kane sat tiredly on the chair.

"You shouldn't be thinking about your mate now, think about the war that's at hand. We need to gain dominance over our rival pack." Logan blurted out.

Kane nodded in response. He found some sense to what Logan was saying. "Indeed, you're right."

Logan knew Kane would probably choose War over his mate so he waited patiently for the latter to contemplate on which he'll focus on.

Kane was ruthless, he fought thousands of his rivals with his bare hands and still emerged victorious.

War, was his hobby and bloodbath was his favourite.

"Humm!" Kane massaged his temples before gazing at Logan. "I'll have to protect Sophie. She needs my protection and besides I can multitask."

Logan jaws dropped. "That's a very nice decision. There's nothing you can't do." Logan complimented Kane with a smile.

Kane stood up and tapped Logan's shoulders. "Let's go out for a walk."

"Nah!" Logan shook his head in disapproval. "I'll probably stick around. Go talk tjimg out with your mate." Logan said.

"Of course!" Kane turned to leave. "See you around then."

Logan watched Kane's back until he disappeared from his sight.

He sighed and left the cabin as well. Meanwhile, he had succeeded in making the human turn her back against her mate.

Who knows if things would work to his plans? And besides Logan's sudden move is puzzling.
