DARK ROMANCE

One

After moving to Westview with her family the last thing Anastasia Summers was expecting is to be in this kinda of environment where it completely dry and lot of nature's surrounding the place. It looks like an old town but surprisingly the people around had manage to keep it clean and new except from the leaves that must have fallen from the tree littering the environment.

It wasn't a problem to her though because she likes the view and every part of it but she is going to a new school with her best friend who had moved with them since her parents aren't always around. She had always live with them since she was a child and presently see the Summers as her own family and doesn't even like her real parent's.

It a relief her best friend is with her but still she feels so uncomfortable and have this weird feelings since they drive into the estate which is a bit far from the street, where their house is located. She felt this energy gathering in her as they drive into the street which is a bit confusing to her.

"Here it is ladies"Dylan, her father says as he drive into the beautiful storey build house that actually suite with the environment.

"Wow"Avelyn, her best friend giggled as she alighted.

"This is amazing"Ansa, her mother said as she alight too and she is the only one left. She is confused right now.

This is the first time she is relocating to a new environment after all this year's.

"You aren't going sit there forever"Avelyn said to her as she grab a big bag from the car booth and follow her parents inside. She look around through the car window before alighting.

The street is so dry and quiet and you will find it difficult to believe people actually live there.

"I guess everyone do things in low key"She take in a deep breathe before she grab a mini bag that contain her personal things and alight from the car.

She was about to move into the house when her eye met this guy that is standing at the window side of his room staring at her. She was expecting the guy to look away or something but he just focus his gaze on her so she wave at him trying to be nice but he got no reaction from him.

"That weird or is that how they do things here?"She shrug picking up her bag and she walk inside.

"Why are you standing there?"Avelyn asks she walk pass her to get more of the luggages.

"Nothing just looking around"She lied, raising her head up to check if the guy she couldn't picture his face well is still there but he was gone.

"Where is he?"She look around but quit because she felt so stupid for waving at the first place.

"Comm'n let go in"Avelyn tap her back and she follow her into the house bag.

"OMG"her jaws are on the floor when she sees how beautiful the house is from the inside.

She is a bit discourage about the environment but she definitely like it inside more than outside. "Mom where is our room?"Avelyn asks.

"Upstairs the first and second is for you two"John replied and she dashed up the staircase immediately.

Dad arched his brows at Anatasia but she shrug and chuckled before excusing them, she join Avelyn who is seen bouncing on the bed and yelling happily.

"Stop it already"She said looking around the room.

"I am taking this so you better go check the other one"Avelyn defend immediately.

"Like seriously?"She roll her eye as she drop her stuff on the empty table.

"I am serious"She defend as she climb down from the bed.

"No! this my room and I am taking it"Anatasia defended.

"What? I came here before you"She disagree.

"No way I am taking this and that final"Ana stated as she unpack her book and arrange it on the table.

"You are such a cheat"She stick out his tongue as she walk out of the room.

"I don't give a fuck"She yelled, moving close the window she threw it apart and the sunlight peeped into the room.

She smiled loving the view from her window side until her eye landed on the guy by the window side sitting there with his headphones on, this time he wasn't looking at her but instead his phone.

She moved away from the window side still bothered about the guy at the window but it isn't her business. She shrug as she stride back to the living room to get more of her luggage

"Unpacking is the worst thing ever" She slump on the bed with a heavy sigh feeling so tired because of the stress she passes through unpacking and setting her room to her taste.

"Wow" Avelyn peeps in, she walks in and her jaws are dropped at how amazing Anatasia has set her room up.

Anastasia's pov

"I will take that as a compliment"She smirks, sitting up and cross her leg over each other.

"Mom prepared dinner already and I guess you don't want to miss our first treat in the house"She replied,

"Of course" I replied.

"Why aren't you standing up already?"She arched her brows at me.

"I will join you guys"I replied.

"No way, mom asks me to bring you in myself and you are following me"She walks towards me and pulls my hand dragging me out of my bed.

"Fine!"I chuckled.

We both took the staircase and the aroma of mom's food fill my nostril.

"Thumbs up to the great chef" I muttered as I take a sit on the table and in no time walk in with the dish.

"Thanks, sweetheart" she replied.

I eyed Avelyn as she settled beside me with teeth shiny.

"So Anatasia"

"Yes mum" She serves quite a quantity of rice Krispies into my plate then Avelyn. She already serves dad before we joined.

"I made a side dish and I will be glad if you two can take it to our neighbors as a welcome treat for them"She stated as she takes her seat and begins to eat.

"But mom is that needed?"I ask,

"Yeah it is needed, mom we will do it"Avelyn Interrupts me,

"Seriously Avelyn?"

"I can do it alone if she isn't interested," She said to my mom ignoring the fact I just scold her.

"No it is fine you both we take it there in our names, okay"

"Yes ma" I roll my eye.

Do we need to take food to our neighbors just to find out who they are?.

"Hope you enjoying your food sweetheart?"Mom asks Dad.

"You always know the answer sweetheart"Dad replied and I smile.

I so much love this couple but come to think of it. Mom asks me to take the food to the neighbors it my chance to meet the strange guy at the window. He is kinda weird but I feel connected to him after I saw him at the window side pouring his eye directly into mine holding no emotion at all.

It already dark and the only thing brighten up the street is the street light and the half ffull moon which we always imagine following us or probably not. We are able to see the road clearly all thanks to my description, I stare at the buildings one after the others which doesn't looks likes anyone lives there and that is scary the whole shit out of me.

"Isn't it weird here?"I asks Avelyn.

"Yeah, it doesn't looks like people live here at all"She replies like she had been reading my mind all through our way to this house mom force us to.

She ring the door bell while I carry the food basket with my two hands. There wasn't any response after waiting for few hours so I asks her to ring it again. "Seriously, no one can get the door"I can hear a woman scold her child from the inside and it got so close.

"Wow!"I breathe in, the cold hit my bare shoulder back. I was putting on an armless singlet and a short with a slippers. Stupid me. I didn't know it will be this cold in West view and even more cold in the night.

The door squeak open and a woman in her early thirties walk out with apron round her waste and a messy hair.

"Good evening ma"Avelyn greet, she was staring at us weirdly probably because she hasn't seen our faces before.

"Hi, how may I help you?"

"Oh we are your new neighbors and my mom asks us to bring this for you as a welcome...."She didn't even allow me to finish my statement before she fling the door open properly and a smile tug on her lips.

I exchange glance with Avelyn who doesn't know what to do either.

"Come in girls, it so nice to meet you"She giggled and in a secs her attitude change towards us.

We took step in and I was amaze at our beautiful the house looks like in the Inside. It almost the same as ours but it looks like some little changes were made.

I look at the living room and a little girl and guy who look so much alike are playing games and didn't even steal a glance at the stranger in the house.

"Why are you standing there, come sit"She grab the food box from my hand and take it to the kitchen while we just stand there wondering what we should do.

"Gabrielle and Gabriel can you both quit the game and serve our guest a juice"she shout from the kitchen.

"That won't be necessary because we need to go back"

"Really?"She peeped from the kitchen.

"Yes, it so nice to meet you but we need to head back now"I said.

"Will you just shut up"Avelyn pinch me as she whisper words to me.

"What?"I hit her.

"Hi big boys and girls"Avelyn walk to the kids and it seems to catch their attention. The best way to make a kid like you is calling the big and matured because they hate been treated like a kid.

"I guess your sister wants to say"She shrug as head back to the kitchen.

"Avelyn it late we need to go back"I said to her.

"Why do you bother when our house is just beside theirs"She roll her eye playing the stupid game with the kids and my fist clenched.

"So what your name my new friends"She said to the kids ignoring me.

"Gabrielle"

"Gabriel"the both said happily and I shake my head in disappointment.

"Why are you just standing there"the woman walk back to the kitchen with our empty food box.

She must have put them in the fridge for future eat probably.

"Where is Usher?"She asks her kids taking off the apron round her waist.

"I don't know?"the cute guy shrug.

"Who is Usher?"I thought.

"My son, you can call me Red"She replied, did I just say that aloud?.

"So What your names?"

"I am Avelyn and she is Anatasia" Avelyn replied fast.

"Wow I love you name"She hit my shoulder.

"Thanks ma'am"I replied.

"No call me Red"She giggles.

Why is she giggling?.

"Oh..."I am not always comfortable calling my elderly ones names but I guess I don't have a choice with this woman.

"Thanks for having us ma....I mean Red we will take our leaves now"I address.

"It so nice to meet you"She smiled.

I take Avelyn hand in mine and drag her with me.

"Mom, I am going out"I head a thick masculine voice just as I close the door.

"Do you hear that?"Avelyn said.

"Let go home"I pull her hand and drag her out of the place.

"What is your problem"I yelled at her immediately we walk into the house fighting.

"What is wrong with you two?"Mom Interrupted

"She is the one"Avelyn point at me fast.

"That a liar"I frown.

"I won't let you two stress me tonight because you know how do your thing"She walk away and jaws drops.

My mom literally knows we fight a lot but one thing always remember is that we are best friends and should know how to settle things.

"Did she just...."I asks in disbelief but Avelyn burst into laughter.

"Oh!"I cross my hand round my chest.

"Comm'n you are only over reacting I am just trying to be nice in the front of our neighbors especially now that I know there is probably an handsome guy lurking around the street and we are resuming school tomorrow"

"That is not an excuse"I frown and walk away but she jump on my back unaware and I end up laughing as I try to free myself from her.

"Don't break my furniture"Mom yelled and we both laugh harder.

"Comm'n good night"I ran up the stairs but she ran up to me and we fight for space till we got to our various rooms.

"Good night girlfriend"She blew me kiss, I roll my eye as I close the door on her face which simply means I don't want her kiss.

I sigh deeply as I slump down on my bed feeling so tired and exhausted. I drifted to my dream land after setting my alarm. I don't want to be late for school on my first day.

Author's POV.

Around two o'clock in the midnight the breeze seems to be getting in because she had forgotten to close to her window before going to bed. She roll from one side to another feeling so cold, she groaned in frustration and sit up with a squeeze face.

She doesn't feel like coming off the bed atleast not when she needs to sleep after a long tiring day.

"Not the right time"She angrily stand up and head to close her window but her eye caught something which actually got all her attention. "What that?"She asks herself wiping her face off to be sure she isn't dreaming.

What the hell?! her eye widened.

"Is he sneaking out by this time of the night"She muttered with her eye widened but she quickly bend down when she almost got caught staring by the guy.

Anastasia's Pov

Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

The sound of my annoying alarm clock broke me out of my day dream. I wasn't actually sleeping I had been awake an hour ago.

That literally never happened before but I was curious and anxious of how college would be today.

After I gain some energy, I get up and take a shower with my favorite fruity scented body washes.

As I finish brushing my teeth, I pick my thick shoulder length, black hair in a high bun.

I observed myself in the mirror, I have a regular brown eye that sometimes look like melting chocolate in the light.

I am damn slim my curves that I can't stand and a flat tummy that doesn't seems to appear to at least prove have eaten.

My hair is healthy and natural but a huge pain in an ass.

I sigh and go to my closest to get my new uniform!!!.

we have to wear a white buttoned down shirt, a disgusting plaid skirt, and a tie.

It doesn't stop there, we also have to wear a Knee High socks with dress shoes that does not have a white sole.

Not too long dressing up I was packing my books into my school bag when Avelyn peep in through the door smiling.

"Guess what"She screamed.

"We are going to a new school and we are still best friend of friend and make more friends"we both in unison jumping up.

"Oooooh"I dance in a funny way and she did the same.

"And guess what"She spin around with me still laughing and dancing happily, that how we are always doing whenever we move to a new school since prep.

"We are definitely going find ourselves a hot guy and lay with"She giggled.

"Eeeeew,"I stop dancing.

"For real we are now sixteen turning seventeen and you think we should get a boyfriend yet?"She questioned.

"Yeah it not necessary"I replied.

"It is definitely needed girlfriend"She grit her teeth.

"I am not in search of any..."

"I hope you don't get jealous when I found out"She replied and I laugh.

"Now come downstairs so you won't miss breakfast with family" she says and walk out of my room.

I adjust my skirt one last time before existing the room.

"Here comes my little princess" Dad says and I smiled.

"Princess that doesn't have a prince"Avelyn teased and I frown.

I can't believe she comes up with that stupid idea of us getting boyfriend when we are just turn seventeen in months like seriously?.

"My princess does not a prince"Dad corrected and I stick out my tongue to mock her.

"Whatever"She roll my eye.

I didn't say anything other than devouring my sandwich after that.

"Ready for school" Mom asks with a smirk on her lip and I just roll my eye.

"School is really fun except from exams day so don't get really bothered about it" Avelyn added, this two are just so good at making my life worst.

"Are you really my best friend?"I scoff.

"Till.....oh I mean forever"She joked and I frown.

"You should all leave now" Dad says

I had a last bite of my sandwich then gulp down my tea in my mug before leaving.

The drive to school was about ten minutes. We finally arrive at the school gate of VHS, Valerie high college.

I really want it to be an amazing school unlike my former school which everyone literally hate me for been the top in class.

"A new life begins for a young teen girl who just gain admission into a prestigious college, Valerie"I breathe as we walk into the house hand in hand dangling and giggling.

"Wow"Avelyn take in a deep breathe staring at the effable school building in our front. I notice few people were staring at us maybe it rare to see a new student in their school. Who knows?.

"She must be new"I heard someone say as they stare at weirdly.

I looked at my phone to check my class and time table, technology had improved.

I don't really need to go to the principal office for all that.

"Ooouch" It was a girl of same age although an inch taller than me, she bumped into us and stop right at our front.

Avelyn and I exchange glance for a while before we turn our gaze to the girl who is advertising a toothpaste product right at our front.

"I am Yvonne, you guys must be newbie and my

Job is to take care of any new student and take them around"She said happily.

"Oh!"that was the only thing I manage to say.

"So let go"She offered.

"I don't know if this is right but she looks adorable"Avelyn whispered to me but I hit her.

"What?!"She winced in pain.

"Can you take us to the locker room?"I asks her ignoring Avelyn.

"Definitely'She move aside and lead the way.

Student eye were on us but I choose to ignore it as we trail behind Yvonne who is forcing her ass to shake as she walk.

"What's your locker number?"She asks.

"fifty....."I check my card to confirm. "Oh sorry it eighty nine instead"I replied and she stop at once.

"Did you just say eighty nine?"She mentioned turning around.

"Yes and I am forty nine"Avelyn replied.

"I can't believe it! someone finally got a locker space beside usher after year's"She yelled.

"Who is Usher?'I asks, trying to remember where I heard the name from.

"Usher?" a girl repeat.

"Usher"

"Who just say Usher"

"Is it just me but I am freaking out right now"Avelyn held my hand.

"Omg:! she Usher lock mate"a girl whisper clearly to her friend and she look at me.

"She isn't Usher taste so don't worry"the girl replied chewing her gums.

"No!! she got a lock beside Usher"the girl repeated and she gasped.

"How come pretty girls are always unfortunate"Yvonne touch my hand but I let go instantly.

"What do you mean by I am unfortunate?"I questioned.

"They are here"Someone screamed.

In a blink of an eye the whole hallway is cleared and everyone move aside, there was enough space for a car to drive past.

"What is going on here?"Avelyn whisper to me.

"We are both new here psycho"I replied and she scorn.

"Didn't you here the VAMPS are here"Yvonne mouthed to me from afar asking to move away.

"What VAMPS?"I turn my gaze away from Yvonne and it landed on a set of student coming in from the door.

I didn't get a clear view because the sunlight was covering their face. They are eight in number with different equal genders.

"WTF!!"Avelyn said in shock.

They got close and I try my best to look at them one after the other until it landed on the guy at the front and his eye his directly on mine.

Wait! he is that guy from...I staggered a bit because I felt a sharp pain round my head and he stopped walking close and signal the rest to stop too and they did, all eye were on me probably expecting what is going to happen next.
