Prologue

I bet you thought now that Gabriel and his true mate Patricia were dead that their kids would get to live a normal life, but just when you thought it was all over guess what Lucas' son Gino is avenging the only mother, he knew Patricia. Her daughter Hopelynn will make sure everyone pays for the death of her mother, father, and brother.

Now Serenity's twin daughter Essence doesn't understand why she is the only one in her family that is a half vampire. Her and her twin Elijah run away from the only place they knew as home. Elijah knows something is wrong with his sister, so he goes with her to help.

Gino was sent to find Tigra's son and bring him to Hopelynn so they could set their plan in motion, but what Gino didn't plan on was falling in love with the one person he was supposed to hate. Paige and Issac lost their mother before they even knew her but found out that they could break the spell their mother was in by finding a descendant.

So, they take off to bring back someone that can set their mother free and make their father happy again. This book will have a lot of twists and turns as well as love and drama. Read and see where everyone from the first two books are and how their children will save the day and right everything their parents screwed up.

Chapter 1

Essence's pov

Essence looked in the mirror she didn't recognize herself anymore. She didn't know who to turn to for help. She hated herself who could ever love a girl that turned into a vampire. She knew she had to be the only one none of her family said anything to her about being a vampire. Her family had a pact with some vampires, but even so they hated them. How could I be the one thing they hated?

I can't stay here and let them find out my secret. So, she took off ran away from the only home she knew. She met up with other kids that felt they didn't fit in. She belonged to a pack of misfits kids that ran away as soon as they found out they were different it was just ten kids, but it felt like a family. I need to get answers to what it is I am, but who do I ask?

I need to know I can't go on not knowing if I am safe to be around people. I mean my mother is a wolf as well as my father yet here I am a vampire. I have heard stories, but there is no way the man they killed could have been my real father can you have twins by two different fathers? Her family hated vampires ever since one of them put her Aunt Tigra in some sort of coma leaving her cousins Paige and Issac without a mom growing up.

We were always so close I actually was always with them. That's why leaving is so hard I couldn't stay knowing once they knew what I was that they would hate me. How could this happen I need to get away far away from everyone so I could figure out what the hell was going on. I feel like there is no one I can even trust. I love my twin brother, but I can't even trust him with my secret right now. No one can ever know who or what I am that's why I have to go. I need to get away from them now before I do something to harm the people, I love the most.

I look in the mirror and see a pale monster looking back at me. I have been getting sicker and sicker. I keep my distance from the rest of our group in fear she would hurt them. They all had a different smell to her all except for Gino he smelled like her. She wondered if he was also a vampire. I need to find out so maybe I won't feel so alone.

My brother seems so sad I know he misses the pack. I should just take off so I'm not such a burden. Than he could run back to the pack and take over as alpha. He would do so much better there. I know now what I had to do. I have to wait until everyone goes to sleep tonight and then take off. I need to do this for Elijah my brother deserves to be happy. I will miss this group they were my family now, but this is what I must do to protect them.

I felt like they would never go to sleep. It's as if they knew I was going to leave them. Especially Elijah he kept telling me how this group would fall apart without me. That is a chance I will have to take I couldn't risk hurting any of them. I had to leave I needed to go and find out more about vampires', and more about this man my mother once loved.

She swears she never loved him, yet they lived together. His name was Gage and from what I was told he was enormously powerful and evil. I need to find out if this man could be my father. So, once I knew everyone was asleep, I grabbed my bags and snuck out the door. I got into my car and let it roll down the hill I thought I was safe until I seen Gino standing there. I opened the door and he got in the car.

"I am leaving Gino don't try and stop me."

"I wasn't going to I know why your leaving Essence we are not like the others. I didn't know you were like me until I saw you sneaking out. I knew you wouldn't leave unless you felt you had to."

"So, you're an um a vampire?"

"Yes I am. I wasn't supposed to be I grew up with two parents that were wolves."

"So, did I that's why I had to leave my family home so they would never find out my secret."

"Yea I ran away when my family started to smell better then food to me."

"Wow will that happen to me?"

"Yes, it will, but with my help I can help you deal with this. We can get through this together. I need to know where I really come from as do you."

"Ok let's go then before anyone realizes were both gone."

I drove for a while until we were two states away, we then stopped for gas and something to eat. We talked about where to go from there. I told him my family story, and about the man I felt could be my father. He told me he had heard all about Gage and his father and the destruction they were accused of causing.

He told me there was still some of Gage's family alive that maybe we should go there and see what we could find out. I needed to know who I was so I decided we should go. So now here I go to see people I was taught to hate told they were evil, but I felt I had to. I wanted to meet people just like me. I needed to know more about this man that I felt was my father.

Chapter 2

Essence's pov

Essence looked out the window as Gino pulled up to a hotel she wondered where they were, but she was too tired to ask all she wanted to do was take a hot shower and sleep for days. Gino came back with a key and handed it to me.

"You go up to the room and I will get our stuff and bring it up."

"Ok and Gino if I haven't said it before thank you."

"No problem."

I went up to the room and looked around man this place looks expensive. I didn't even want to know how he could afford a place like this. I don't even know why he picked this place other then maybe he was just as tired as I was. Soon after he came up with our bags, I instantly grabbed mine and ran to take a much-needed hot shower.

I didn't want to get out it felt so good, but I needed sleep and sleeping in a shower didn't sound as good as sleeping in a soft warm bed. So, I got dressed and went in to find Gino already asleep since there was only one bed, I crawled in beside him carefully so that I didn't wake him.

"Hey sleepy head we need to get up and get moving were almost too where we need to be so get a move on."

I groaned in protest man I hated to get up what time was it anyway? The sun wasn't even up. I looked at the clock on the night stand it read six pm oh wow I can't believe I slept that long.

"Why did you let me sleep so late?"

"Because you needed it. You have a lot going on and your body needed sleep to recover."

"Thank you."

We quickly gathered our stuff and were on the road in no time.

"So how much longer before we get there? And what do I do when we get there? I can't just go introduce myself since my family killed their leader."

"We tell them nothing of your past we just say were newly turned and have nowhere to go we came here to learn about what we are since no one ever told us. I think they will buy that and then we can try and find answers."

"Wow sounds like a good plan you have thought of everything haven't you?"

"Well one of us needed to and you were to upset to, so I took over."

"I know I keep saying this but thank you Gino for everything."

He grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"No problem beautiful now when we get there sticks with me and everything will be fine. We must pretend to be together for our safety. We will say we ran away to be together and to find out who we are."

"Ok I can do that."

"Good"

Not too long after we were pulling up outside the most beautiful castle I have ever seen. This was my father's home wow he was so lucky to have grown up in a place like this. That moment I felt closeness and knew it was true. I knew then that Gage was my real father. I looked up to see a beautiful woman just staring at me before walking over to us.

"Hello, may I help you?"

"Yes, I'm Gino and this is my wife Essence we are here because we're newly turned vamps, we heard this would be a safe haven and a good place to learn about who and what we are."

"Oh, that is true please come right this way we will set a room for you at once. How long have you been turned now?"

"Well for me it's been over a year, but my wife just recently found out."

"I see it is good that you're here then you will have much to learn from us. Come sit in here while I have someone prepare a room for you then I will be back to introduce you and show you around. By the way, my name is Hopelynn please make yourself at home."

I looked over at Gino and just smiled this place was so big and beautiful and everyone so far seemed really nice. I finally found a place that felt like home. A place where I could be myself and embrace my past not run away from it.
