Kendra's pov

"You look amazing," my husband complimented.

Although he wasn't talking to me, but Alexa.

Everyone watched me through the corners of their eyes, as the atmosphere became uneasy. I could only see the shock on their faces.

"Are you alright, Luna Kendra?" Nicollete, handed me a glass of water

"Please," she offered.

How could I be alright? My heart was heavy, because my husband and mate, Alpha Ethan, was dancing with Alexa Gray, who was once his high school sweetheart.

Alexa giggled, as her eyes fell on me. A false smile crimped onto her face, as she pulled Ethan in for a tight hug, with her lips brushing against his neck.

It should be me, dancing with him. It was our three-year wedding anniversary, for heaven's sake?.

But, Alexa ruined everything by coming back to his life two weeks ago. My existence barely meant anything anymore to Ethan.

Alexa was his first love, and she had come back.

"Thanks Nicolette" I appreciated, holding my tears back.

When Ethan's father, Alpha Jude, urged him to find a wife, Alexa was obviously Ethan's first choice.

But, she bluntly refuses him, claiming to be in love with Alpha Greg from the Silver moon back. She broke up with Ethan and went to her lover.

I had concluded college at that time. A desperate and innocent twenty-three-year-old me, sensed Alpha Ethan as my mate at my graduation party.

Alpha Jude was overjoyed, and so was my dad.

I, Kendra Renor, heir of the Rainfall pack, married my mate, Ethan Blue, heir of the Revile pack, three years ago.

From the very first day, I stepped foot into his pack. I made sure to expand his business. After all, I majored in business back in college.

I corrected every error and loophole the Revile pack was facing, and their business has been blooming ever since.

A year after I got married, I lost my father to the cold hands of death, and both our packs were merged.

The moment, Ethan became the Alpha of the Revile pack, three months after his father's death.

Alexa came crawling back to him.

Ethan used to have unconditional love for me, until she returned.

Ethan's invitation for our three-year wedding anniversary, spread across to other Alphas, Beta and Lunas.

I strongly believed he held this party not in my favor, but to announce Alexa's arrival, giving her more value than me.

"Oh my! I have missed you alot, Ethan", Alexa said, as she jumped on him.

"I am here now, and I cannot even stay away from you anymore" she placed her head on his chest, while he enveloped her in a hug, patting her back.

She glanced over his shoulder and smiled at me again.

"I want to fix this too, just say what you want, Alexa". Ethan pressed his lips against each other.

My face turned red out of humiliation at his words.

What exactly is there to fix? I grinded my teeth as I got up from my seat.

If I didn't stop this now, my entire life, my whole marriage would be ruined.

I walked over to them, and forced a smile on my face.

I pulled Ethan away from her, and took my hand underneath his.

"I'm sure it would be difficult for you to accept it. But, Alpha Ethan is my mate and husband now. It's called husband and wife, not husband, wife and ex-lover. Understood Alexa?" I lifted an eyebrow.

"I think it's best if you resolve your issues with Alpha Greg, I'm I right, my love?" I turned to Ethan.

I refused to accept such a disgrace.

Alexa's eyes soon clouded with tears, letting out a loud cry, as she raced in between the crowds and ran away.

"Alexa!" Ethan yelled her name.

"My wolf, Inkit, kept kicking my head.

"I need to tear her apart, let me shift," she begged.

"Ethan" I whispered, suppressing Inkit.

"What you are doing isn't right" I said gently.

Ethan looked at me with deadly eyes, and stared blankly for a while.

He refused to speak to me throughout the party, but he still stayed till it was concluded.

Instead of him coming to our bedroom, he went straight to the guest room he had arranged for Alexa.

"Ethan". I went after him, he growled at me. I flinched, and he turned his back to me, going straight into her room.

The night became unnecessarily long, as I waited for him to come to our room.

I needed him, and so did Inkit. I found it difficult to sleep as I tried to suppress my urge for him.

I wanted to go to Alexa's room, but I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I gasped while digging my fingers into my stomach. My eyes darted to different corners of the room, as I ran to the toilet, emptying everything I ate in the sink.

The pain reduced after a while, as I stared at my reflection, washing my face.

Tears had unknowingly run down my cheeks, my eyes had become red and my cheeks swollen.

I had this cold, lonely feeling within me, letting out a loud cry when realization dawned on me.

My pain wasn't caused by any sickness. Alpha Ethan had betrayed me, he had already slept with Alexa.

In the werewolf kingdom, the moment your Mate sleeps with someone else apart from you, after marking and claiming you, you encounter a sharp pain.

That was how the moon goddess punishes you.

I shouldn't be punished, the cheater should be punished instead. I am just a victim.

But, no one dared to question the ways of the goddess.

I wish Alpha Jude was still alive, he would have done something to make Alexa leave.

I felt betrayed and sad as I went to bed. I waited for Ethan to apologize the following morning, but he never even showed up, let alone apologize.

I couldn't let Alexa have the upper hand.

I thought of how to get Ethan back, as I had used a special scented soap for my bath, and wore a gamboge gown that appreciated my cleavage. It was Ethan's favorite color.

I let my long hair pour down, and combed out my long lashes, applying mascara to them.

Alexa was indeed stunning, but I was no less.

Even at that, I still found myself competing against her.

I walked through the dining hall, as I noticed the omegas staring at me with pity. I hurriedly had my breakfast and made my way to the guest room.

"I'm sorry Luna Kendra, you can't go inside" a guard blocked my path.

Two guards stood at the door, and they both lowered their heads in front of me.

"I am his wife, and your Luna. Let me in", I ordered.

He stuttered before raising his head again.

"My apologies, but the alpha ordered that we specifically can't let you in. He demands you make an appointment to meet him", the guard bowed.

"An appointment to meet my own husband?" I yelled.

I heard footsteps as I turned to find out where the sound was coming from. Beta Liam approached me.

"Beta Liam". I looked at him with hope.

"Tell them I need to see...." I was still talking when I heard Ethan's groans from inside. Fresh tears rolled down my cheeks.

My belly experienced another flow of ache, causing me to fall to the floor.

"Luna Kendra!" Beta Liam picked me up, taking me to my bedroom.

" I've sent for the doctor" he informed me before leaving my room.

Three days had already gone by, and Ethan didn't return to our room.

The pains I experienced only got worse, and I wondered if I should run away from this hell.

Why did Alexa have to return? What had made her leave Alpha Greg, and return to Ethan??

I needed answers, so I could face this problem.

She just needed to make one wrong move, so I could show Ethan her true colors.

Was he so engrossed in her, that he refused to acknowledge that she returned to using his power as Alpha to her advantage?

She would never have left him in the first place, if she truly loved him.

Hasn't he noticed that she is just desperate to be a Luna, that is why she keeps hoping from Alpha for another look?

I had no one to support me. Beta Liam, couldn't do anything because he had to remain loyal to his alpha.

Even the guards and maids gossiped behind my back. Rumors of how I am unable to keep my husband spread throughout the werewolf Kingdom like wildfire.

Lately, I have been disregarded as a Luna, as my invitation to various events have been canceled.

I decided to start from the root of the problem, by going to Alexa's parents.

Her father, Harry, used to be Alpha Jude's Beta.

I stood outside their house with a ray of hope. I knocked gently, tapping my feet on the floor.

Her father, who was the first to see me, looked astonished.

"Luna Kendra," he exclaimed.

"May I come in?" I inquired softly.

"Yes, please do" he replied, opening the door for me.

His wife, Tina, soon came to the sitting room wiping her hand on her dress. She seemed rather unpleasant because of my visit.

I bit my lower lip, as my throat became clogged.

"It's about Alexa" I started out.

"You should speak to her. She needs to leave Alpha Ethan Alone. He is my husband".

Harry jerked from his seat, as Tina shook her head.

"They were childhood sweethearts, Luna and Kendra. Their bond existed long before you entered this pack. Alexa loves him, and for the best. I think it's better if you leave him" she spoke so boldly.

My jaw dropped to the floor.

"Tina!" I snapped.

"Oh please!" She pouted her lips, and rolled her eyes.

"You can leave now" she insisted.

The insult was like a dagger to my chest. So painful, it awoke Inkit's urge for vengeance.

I took a deep breath, and walked out of their house.

They were clearly on her side. After all, it would be to their advantage. There was no need to argue with them.

By the time I arrived at the packing house, I met Ethan sitting on the couch, with Alexa's hand on his shoulder.

"Why did you go to Alexa's parents?" He barked.

"Did you really think that would make me leave her?"

"Please Ethan, let it be". Alexa tried to calm him down.

"She loves you, that's why she did it" she pleaded falsely in my favor.

Crocodile tears formed in her eyes immediately.

"After all, I am the third person in this marriage. Maybe I really should leave". She got up from the couch.

"Yes, please leave" I blurted out.

"Kendra!" He scolded me, crushing his fists. My eyes twitched, as his alpha aura dominated me.

"Stop it Ethan", Alexa continued to please.

She wiped her tears, and looked at me.

"Luna Kendra, I know you hate me. But I promise not to come near you. I...." She stammered, and Ethan caressed her back.

"I'm in love with Ethan. Alpha Greg molested me during our three years of marriage. I had to leave him, and go back to Ethan". She looked at Ethan with lust in her eyes.

"Maybe it's too late to correct my error" she sniffed.

Ethan pulled her for a tight hug.

"Stop crying".

She nodded softly, and stole a glimpse at me.

"I swear, I'll be like a flower case in this house. Just don't throw me away" she begged.

"Nobody will dare to send you away", Ethan growled, his eyes piercing my soul.

"I am the Alpha of the Revile pack, and I make the decisions," he sighed and kissed her forehead, wiping her tears.

He glanced at me.

"I need to talk to you, come here" he ordered.

Shocked into silence, he dragged me along with him, as he led me to my room.

I turned to see Alexa smiling.

Ethan shut the door behind him.

"What is wrong with you?" He snapped.

"Why don't you let Alexa be? She hasn't done anything. I am the one who craves her. She is trying her best to push me away, but I thought you'd understand. I have always loved her before you stepped into my life. I just can't leave her. She has been molested and beaten, now she needs to be loved. Besides, she isn't coming in your way" he spoke shamelessly.

"I am your mate Ethan!" My throat became choked.

"Can't you see that we are blessed by the moon goddess herself?" I grabbed his shoulders.

He looked at my hands over his shoulder and pulled away.

"I've had enough," he sneered.

"It's normal for Alphas to have another lover apart from their Lunas. I am an Alpha, and you cannot satisfy me. But, Alexa does that effortlessly. And I refused to leave her, and that is final", he ordered.

My chest became stoned,

"Ethan" my lips shivered as I called out to him.

"You'll still be my Luna", he took a deep breath, as he held my hand.

Even after his betrayal, my body couldn't help but react to his touch.

Suddenly, I whiffed out a scent, and a movement outside my door.

I knew Alexa was there. I narrowed my eyes, making my next move to force her to anger.

I wrapped my hands around his neck, pressing my lips against his.

The mate bond worked, and his hands were all about me as we kissed intensely.

"I refuse to be like other Lunas. If you feel I am not enough, then reject me and be with Alexa" I murmured between my breaths.

"What!" His eyes widened in horror.

"I can never reject you, never!" he declared.

The door flung open, and Alexa walked in with her palm flying to cover her mouth.

She gasped in shock, with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Ethan pulled away from me, and went after her.

"That doesn't mean anything, I promise you" he got, hold of her hands.

She pushed him away, and ran away for the second time.

I couldn't get myself to breathe properly anymore. My heart was racing, and my head was banging. I needed help.

After a long thought, I picked up my phone, scrolling through the number.

I finally found Khloe's number. She's my best friend, and we even shared the same dorm back in college. Over my four years of study we built a very strong relationship.

We lost connection when I got married.

Her brother, Alpha Lucifer Stone, was the Alpha of the biggest pack in Europe. They were five times the size of our pack. If we had a thousand members, they could boast of at least five thousand.

He was rumored to be cruel, and never had anything to do with the same woman twice.

Rumored to be smart, and heartless at the same time, and questionably strong. I even heard he had once killed seven wolves at the same time without any weapons.

We only encountered each other once in college, during one of the college functions.

And he left thirty minutes later. Yet, he couldn't take his eyes off me, the whole thirty minutes.

I didn't plan that our paths would cross again. But, desperate times call for desperate actions.

Alpha Lucifer held a powerful connection with the elder wolves. Only they could help me get out of this marriage, and still regain my pack.

I called Khloe to ask for her help.

The moon goddess probably abandoned me as she refused to pick.

The following days were detrimental for me, as the pains in my stomach became more horrifying. The mate bond I shared with Ethan was getting damaged. I felt less attracted to him, and my health faced its impact.

I couldn't eat, and it got so bad my personal maid, Nicolette, had to force me to eat.

My entire thoughts were a total mess. If I decide to leave the pack on my own, There's no doubt that he would capture me and throw me in the dungeon if he decides to be merciful.

He could do his worst by banishing me from his pack, forcing me to be a rogue.

I paced back and forth in my room, contemplating what to do. I have developed my warrior skills so much. I loved exercising, as that always brought a sense of accomplishment and a rush of adrenaline.

Being an Alpha's daughter, my father made sure I was well-trained. I hadn't rehearsed for a long time, so I felt I lost my touch.

I walked towards the pack house, watching the warriors on the training ground, before I decided to join them. They were all baffled.

"I would love to be your partner, Luna Kendra" Gamma Conri, who was there. He took a bow and offered.

Gamma Conri was in my pack, and if our pack hadn't merged, I would have made him my Beta.

Practicing with Gamma Conri was exciting and fearful at the same time. I had encountered so many injuries, but I managed to dodge every one of his attacks. He was a swift wolf. He lunged towards me, and landed an epistle of punches on my delicate face. I managed to stop them with my forearm, and kicked him in the gut, which sent him flying to the ground.

The cheer from the crowd startled me.

"Go Luna Kendra. Beat the crap out of him".

Gamma Conri forced himself up, and lunged at me, shifting to his wolf form.

I narrowed my eyes, targeting him carefully. When he was just a few feet away from me, I shifted to Inkit.

With a growl escaping my throat, Inkit lunged at him in the air, slamming him to the floor with her fangs deep into his skin.

Conri Surrendered, as she moved away.

I shifted back to my human form, marveled at the number of people cheering.

Even Gamma Conri was proud and smiling.

"That was amazing, Luna Kendra" he bowed.

I smiled, feeling satisfied after a long time.

"I would like to resume training from today," I informed him.

"Luna Kendra" , a soft noise, came from behind.

I grinded my teeth.

"I know your wolf is unbeatable. But, I would like it if you helped me with training. Please", Alexa pleaded with her palms glued together.

"No, thanks" I refused, and grabbed my gown from the omega, who stood by to attend to the warriors on the training ground.

Alexa sniffed, rubbing her index finger against her nose.

"Luna Kendra, please don't be upset. I just want to carry out Alpha Ethan's wish. He told me that he would be the best person for me to train with. So, I came here"

I lifted an eyebrow, as silence rang in my ear.

"Ethan sent you here?"

"Yes" she nodded slowly, pressing her lips against each other.

"You are a Beta's daughter. It's common knowledge that you are well-trained". I shook my head in disbelief.

She lowered her eyes.

"Yes, but unfortunately. I have lost my touch. Alpha Greg used to beat me alot and banned me from training", she confessed.

I was indeed amazed at her absurdity. I wondered how Alpha Ethan never questioned Alpha Greg about the alleged abuse towards her. She had no scars whatsoever.

"Please, I beg of you" she continued to plead, almost going on her knees.

"I am not a Luna like you, so I have no right to go against the Alpha's order".

I folded my fist in anger. If Ethan really sent her here. I can't go against his orders.

We stood in front of each other on the training field, and slowly began to circle each other.

Her keen focus made it difficult to believe she needed training.

Suddenly, she lunged at me, and sent a kick to my stomach.

I staggered backwards. She barely gave me a chance to recover, as she sent another kick towards my chest.

I halted her leg with my forearm, and swiftly ducked and boxed her knee.

She yelled in pain, and fell to the floor.

With a fierce snarl, she launched into the air, aiming her fist directly for my face.

This felt more like an attack, than training. She clearly wanted to kill me.

I ducked, but her fist landed on my shoulder, causing me to snarl in pain.

She grinded, swinging her leg, aiming for my head.

I dodged her, and she stumbled forward. I moved swiftly, aiming my elbow at the side of her face.

She turned quickly, and my elbow landed on her nose.

"Ahh!!" She screamed in pain, as blood poured out of her nose.

"Alexa, Alexa!" Alpha Ethan came running to her.

"Ethan, she forced me to fight with her. I thought it was mere training, but look what she did. I'm scared, what if something has happened to our baby" she cried out, with tears rolling down her eyes.

I stared dumbfoundedly in silence.

What baby? She's pregnant?. And why did she just lie?

Goddess, you see that, right?

"Why did you do that?" Ethan growled at me, with his palm around my throat.

I held his wrists trying to pull him away so I could breathe.

His grip around my neck tightened

"Ethan" I coughed out, with my eyes turning red.

He pushed me to the floor.

"Stay away from her, Kendra. I won't warn you again. She is carrying my pup", he pointed his index finger at me.

He carried her in his arms, and pranced out.

I watched them leave with a lump on my throat, as I rubbed my throat gently. I couldn't tell if the pain I felt was an impact of what Ethan had done to me. Or the way my heart was hurting.

This was the height of disgrace. I had been married to Ethan for two good years, and I was unable to conceive.

And this liar got pregnant in just a few days.

Ethan's cheating took a drastic turn that day.

I dragged myself out of the place.

I could tell everyone's eyes were on me, and that incident was going to be the next big news in the pack.

Alexa was pregnant with the Alpha's heir. That alone is enough for them to make her my equal as Luna.

All my hopes were immediately crushed. There was absolutely nothing left for me. Everything was gone. My pack, my alpha, my life, my business and my title of Luna, were all washed away.

I unconsciously walked to my room, crashing into the bed, when I heard an annoying ringing tone that got my attention.

"Kendra" was Khloe

"Khloe "wipe, made me wipe my tears away.

"I apologize for not calling earlier. I went hunting in the Macro woods. You know how far it is from my pack. Anyway, we just came back. How and where are you? "She was so excited that a smile crawled to my face.

How I have missed her cheerful spirit.

"Khloe , I need your help". I went straight to the point.

I felt like telling her the whole thing, but I knew how she was. She will definitely come here and create a scene.

"I'm listening," she said.

"I want to meet Alpha Lucifer. Can you please make that happen?" I asked.

"Lucifer?" She was shocked.

"Yes, can you please arrange for us to meet?" I held my breath, waiting for her response.

It wasn't like Alpha Lucifer was going to respond to me the following day, just because Khloe asked. I knew how difficult it would be to see someone like him. It could take me months to make an appointment or even a year.

"Okay, I'll ask him. Do you want to talk about something else?" She was so concerned, even though I hadn't spoken to her for so long.

"No," I replied plainly.

"Alright. Take care of yourself Kendra", she disconnected the call.

Later that night, I went into the forest to go hunting.

"Inkit, please take over, I said, but she didn't come out.

"Inkit?" I called out to her again, but she didn't respond.

"Inkit, No! No. You can't sleep, please come out", I begged her, crashing to the ground.

The trauma was just too much for poor Inkit. Not only did her mate cheat, now Alexa is carrying his child.

She felt sad, miserable and lonely.

I went back home with my face buried in the bed.

My phone rang, and I picked it up immediately.

"Kylie, Alpha Lucifer is ready to meet you tomorrow. He is coming to the Revile pack to meet Alpha Ethan", she informed me.
