Skylar's POV

Oh my God! I'm late for work again. Why didn't Ella wake me up?

"Ella! Ella!!" I shouted

"Yes big sis?" she answered running to my room

"Good morning Sister Skylar"

"Why didn't you wake me up Ella? You know how strict my boss is"

"I'm sorry Sis, I just wanted you to rest because you overworked yourself last night. You're working your ass out day and night because of me and not yourself.

I feel really bad whenever you I see you running around just to take care of me" she concluded in her small voice which melted my heart instantly

"Don't think that way Ella. I'm working hard so that both of us won't get thrown out of the house and start begging on the street.

I know you care about me but don't forget your sister is a super strong lady, I'm not tired okay?"

"Alright my super woman" she said giggling

"That's my little Ella. Now go downstairs and prepare for school, I will be done before you know it"

Quick introduction about me

I'm Skylar Brandon the first child and daughter of two parents, I have only a younger sister.

Sadly, my parents passed away when I was still really young living me with the responsibility of taking care of my only sister Ella.

I have to do different part-time jobs just to make sure we have something to eat and also to pay Ella's tuition fee.

I'm really late for work right now and the manager has warned me several times not to come late to work, I just hope I don't lose this job because it fetches me more money than my other part time jobs.

I quickly finished everything I had to do before going downstairs to meet Ella.

"Ella I think you will have to suspend the food for now, I'm late for work and you know it"

"Alright Sis, I will just pick my bag and we're good to go" she said running upstairs

Few minutes later, she was back and we went to the bus stop. We took a bus and went to our respective places.

Ella got down at her school, waved at me before I continued my journey to work. Gosh! I'm really nervous.

"And where do you think you are going?" I heard my boss deep voice just when I was trying to sneak in.

I quickly put that cold look on my face before turning to face him.

"Good morning sir" I greeted staring at him without any form of emotions

"What's good about the morning? Is that the answer to the question I asked you?" he asked angrily

"I'm about to start the day's job sir"

"Really? By this time of the day? Okay then, no problem about that but just have it at the back of your mind that you won't be getting the smallest amount for this month.

Just see your work this month as charity. Is that clear?"

"Don't do that sir, I promise to change"

"I don't want to hear it. How many times have you promised to change and how many times have you kept to your promise? It's either you take it like that or you quit this job"

"Please sir, I have a younger sister to take care of and this is the only job we rely on. Just this once and I promise it won't happen again"

I was still pleading on my knees when a man came to us from nowhere.

"What's going on here?" he asked

I turned to look at him and I noticed he was a pot bellied man, he reeked of too much alcohol that I thought I was going to puke.

"Don't worry about her sir, enjoy yourself" my boss answered

"No. What happened, young lady?" he said turning to me.

I'm not supposed to answer him because he reeked of alcohol but who knows, he might be able to help me.

I explained everything to him in detail while he listened keenly with rapt attention.

"Please sir help me beg him not to withhold my salary for this month" I pleaded almost in tears

The only reason why I'm not in tears is because I don't cry in public. I noticed the man was staring at me lustfully.

"Forget about the salary. How much is it?"

"$1000 sir" I said thinking he wanted to give me the money but his next statement almost threw me off balance.

"Let me spend a night with you and I will pay triple of your salary" he said licking his lips

"Sir?" I said, I couldn't have heard him correctly

"Just a night and I will pay you triple" he said again

I wanted to slap him but I held myself back, I wasn't brought up that way. Looking at him, I'm sure he's old enough to be my father. Doesn't he has conscience?

"Don't worry sir, I've accepted my fate"I said and stood up to walk away but his next words stopped me

"It's either the one night stand or you forget about your job." he said and called out to my boss

"Sir?" my boss said scurrying over to where we stood

"I want you to sack this girl from here if she refuses to have a one night stand with me" he said while I scoffed

Who does he think he is to come and sack workers here?

"Skylar please just do his biddings and everything will be okay. I won't be able to do anything if he wants me to sack you because he is one of our important customers.

Just the one night stand and everything will me fine" my boss said leaving me gobsmacked

"S... Sir!" I stuttered unable to form a sentence.

Did he just ask me to give my dignity to a pot-bellied man for money?

"Choose fast, I have lots of things to do" the man said angering me more

"Boss please, I promise to come early to work from now on. You can even withhold this month's salary, just don't sack me please" I pleaded again

"Like I said earlier, my hands are tied so choose one fast" my boss said

I guess I have no choice but to quit this job because there's no way I would sell my dignity for money.

"I quit the job sir. Thanks anyway" I said and went back home.

When I got home, I locked my door and bursted into tears.

How am I supposed to pay Ella's tuition fees within two weeks when I've been sacked. I have other jobs I do but those ones are just for feeding, clothing and other expenses.

I slowly stood up and went to my bag to take out my high school certificate. It was the only result I was able to acquire after my parents passed away.

I would have gone to college but I can't sponsor myself and Ella at the same time with the menial jobs I'm doing.

The only option I'm left with now is to go job hunting with my certificate. I know it's going to be hard to find a good job since I didn't go to college but I'm willing to try.

I just hope I find favour and get employed with a manageable salary.

Andrian's POV

"You're fired, you dimwit. How can you be so clumsy that you can't handle a cup of coffee? Get out of my sight this instant" I screamed at the 10th PA I employed in two weeks.

I don't understand them. It's either they're too clumsy or they try to seduce me, I've tried male PA's but they're too slow for my liking.

"Kyle! Kyle!!" I screamed my manager's name from my office

"Sir?" he replied walking briskly towards me

"Put up posters for vacancy as a PA in my company, you can also make it known online. Tell my secretary to cancel all the appointments I will be having on Saturday because this time around, I will be the one to interview them personally"

"Okay sir" he said and left my office

I'm Andrian Carter, the only son and first child of my wealthy parents.

Call me rude and arrogant, I don't care. There's nothing I hate as much as I hate commoners and girls especially girls.

They're too weak to be among men and apart from that, they sleep around. The only thing they are after in a guy is his money and that's why I sack my PAs almost every hour.

The female PAs I've had only know how to try to seduce me with their skimpy dresses, I wonder when they will learn to accept that I'm not interested in them.

"Andrian" I heard Avery call my name. Oh no! The little devil is back from school. She doesn't have manners and if not for the fact that she's my sister, I would have dealt with her.

"Avery, how many times have I told you to stop calling me Andrian?"

"What should I call you then, Your Royal Majesty?" she asked mockingly

"Call me "big brother" or "bro Andrian". Do I look like your mate?"

"If Mom wanted me to call you "bro Andrian", she would have included it in your name when she was naming you so don't disturb me.

I'm going to change my clothes now. When I come back, we will go out. I want to go to the park and I will take ice cream when I'm done. After that we will go to the cinema.

Give me few minutes and remember, no excuses." she said sternly and walked away.

Remind me about how I came across this brat. She definitely wouldn't take any excuses like she said when she finally returns.

Zoey's POV

Thank goodness I will be returning to USA today. Ohh how I've missed Andrian.

I really love Andrian a lot but he doesn't notice it. I've tried everything possible but it's not working.

Andrian can't stand the sight of women, I'm the only lady privileged to go closer to him and I know it will remain that way forever because he's really difficult to please.

Besides, ever since his Mom died, I've been the only lady by his side and I know he won't just discard me like that.

Few minutes later, I arrived at USA. I called Andrian to pick me up but he said he went out with his sister. That little devil!

She hates me so much and I also hate her but I pretend to like her whenever Andrian is around.

I know Andrian loves her so much and he wouldn't date anyone that doesn't like his sister not to talk of marry her.

I called one of my drivers to pick me up and we went to my mansion.

Skylar's POV

After searching for job the whole day without getting a positive result, I decided to rest under a tree.

I have to be strong for Ella, I wouldn't want her to loose concentration in her studies.

I rested for about thirty minutes before deciding to go home.

"Sister Skylar!!" Ella screamed happily and came running to me

"How are you doing Ella?" I asked giving her a faux smile

"I'm fine. How was work today?"

"Work was fine and we had lots of customers today" I hate lying to her but I have no other option now

"Wow! I was still thinking of how to inform you about my tuition fee. Thank goodness!

So how much did you make today?" she asked with much enthusiasm

I almost broke into tears when she asked that question but I pulled myself together, I have to be strong for her.

"I'm going to receive the money tomorrow"

"Thanks best sis in the world. I made your favorite, let's eat"

"I want to freshen up first, I will join you later" and with that I went hurriedly into my room and broke down in tears.

How exactly am I supposed to get that amount of money tomorrow when I don't even have a job?

Andrian's POV

I took Avery to all the places she wanted to go and I swear it was really tiring.

She made sure we walked on foot. I don't even know how she became my sister, she's just too wicked.

"Andrian, don't you think trekking home will be fun?" she smiled innocently showing her white teeth

"Avery please..... You've punished me enough already, let's just go home.

You can call me Andrian or whatever pleases you, just please..... let's go home"

"Awwn.......... The almighty Andrian is begging me. Fine then but on one condition"

"Which condition?"

"Zoey won't come to the mansion. I heard she returned here today, I don't want to set my eyes on her. Deal?"

"Deal!!" I said without much thinking

All I want is to go to my room and rest from the stress this little devil has made me pass through.

"When are you going to get married?" Avery asked out of the blue

"And how is that your business?" I snapped at her already pissed by her attitude

"You know, I could just ask them to take the car back and then we'll trek home." she said smirking

"Fine, what do you want?"

"When are you getting married?"

"You of all people should know I'm not interested in ladies"

"Are you interested in men then?"

"Of course not!"

"So do you want to die single and not have a child to take over your business? I can swear on my life that you are still a virgin"

"Avery, how old are you?"

"What kind of question is that? I'm 13 of course!"

"Are you sure? Maybe Mom made a mistake in the year she told you. I think we should check your birth certificate"

"If you get me angry one more time, we are going to walk home"

"Sorry... I'm no longer saying anything"

"Better. Just make sure you don't get married to Zoey or any sassy bitch or else I will make their lives a living hell" she threatened and got into the car.

*Next day*

Skylar's POV

I woke up early today and quickly made breakfast. I couldn't eat last night because I lost the appetite to do that.

"Ella, come down for breakfast"

"Just minute sis. Good morning big sis"

"Morning baby. How was your night?"

"It was fine. Did you eat last night?"

"Oh.. yeah, I ate"

"That's great."

She hurriedly ate her food and picked her back.

"I'm off to school"

"Alright, have a nice day"

I'm left alone now. Where exactly do I start my job hunting? Let me check online.

I searched for available jobs but none of them went in line with what I studied. Besides, the pay is not that great; I don't even think it will be enough to pay half of Ella's School fee if I deduct transport fare.

I was about giving up when I saw a vacancy at C. A (Carter Andrian) company. I know I won't be employed so I shouldn't waste my time going there.

I've gone to all the companies around here but there's no vacancy. What do I do?

C. A company keeps coming to my mind but I'm trying my possible best to put it behind me.

The CEO is hot tempered and arrogant like I heard so I don't want to go there. It's not like I'm scared of him or something, I just want to avoid trouble but now that I need to pay Ella's fees urgently, trying my luck might not be a bad idea.

If I'm able to get employed, I won't have problems with Ella's tuition for a while.

I took a quick bath and went to the company. Here goes nothing.

I paid the cab man after we arrive at the company and I went inside.

The company is really big and beautiful, I must admit. Skylar, focus!

I went straight to the reception.

"Good day miss, how can we help you?" one of the receptionist asked me

"I'm here concerning the vacancy"

"Ohh... The interview is to take place on Saturday. All you have to do is submit your CV online then come with the original copy on Saturday for the interview"

"Thank you. Is that all?"

"Yes miss"

"Alright, have a nice day"

I released the breath I didn't know I've been holding when I got outside.

Phew! That was easier than I thought. I wish tomorrow is Saturday.

Zoey's POV

Andrian didn't pick me up yesterday and I suggested going to his mansion but he asked me not to come.

Something seems fishy. I know he doesn't like ladies but still I'm different from them and he doesn't joke with me so why did he ask me not to come? Let me call him again.

"Good afternoon" I greeted casually

"Afternoon Zoey. How are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine. Why did you ask me not to come to your mansion?"

"I will explain to you when we talk face to face, it's not something I can explain on phone"

"Where do you want us to meet when you clearly asked me not to come to your mansion?"

"I don't know yet. Uhhm.... "

"Should we meet in a restaurant then?"

Surprisingly, he agreed. Is this still Andrian? Someone that doesn't like going to places like that to avoid paparazzi and the media.

"Okay then. Starbucks, 7pm" I said and hanged up without waiting for his reply. He should know I'm really mad at him.

Mason's POV

I will finally be going back to USA, can't wait to screw all the girls there. There's a particular girl I'm going for and that's Skylar.

We attended the same highschool and I asked her to be my girlfriend then but she turned me down.

No girl has ever done that before. Who would dare do that? Girls were always flocking around me for my good looks and money but she was trying to prove to me that she's different and I'm going to teach her a lesson.

I left her then because I had important things to take care of but now, I'm going for her.

I will make sure I f*ck her until she beg for mercy.

Skylar Brandon, get ready because I'm coming for you.

Andrian's POV

I feel bad with the way I'm treating Zoey because she has been my childhood friend but I don't have a choice.

I know Avery wasn't joking last night so if I ask Zoey to come to the mansion and Zoey finds out, only God knows what she will do to me.

"I'm sorry Zoey"

There are many applicants that are willing to be my PA and I'm beginning to have second thoughts on handling the interview myself.

I don't think I will get able to interview those many people.

"Ask Kyle to meet me in my office" I said through the intercom.

Kyle came running in few minutes later.

"You sent for me sir?"

"Yes. You will be the one to handle the interview on Saturday"

"But why sir? I.. I mean... you"

"I know but the applicants are much so just handle them yourself"

"Okay sir"

" You can leave now" I dismissed him and focused on my work so I will be able to get to the restaurant on time.

Skylar's POV

I got home and just sat down staring into space when I suddenly heard a knock on the door.

Huh? Who could that be? The only friend I have is Audrey but she travelled so I haven't seen her in a while.

The knock persisted and I had no choice than to open the door.

"Audrey!" I screamed and jumped on her. I've missed her so much

"You're still as crazy as I left you huh?" she said not breaking the hug

"What are you talking about? I'm really gentle" I pouted my lips

"Yeah, really gentle" she said with her voice filled with sarcasm

"I've really missed you. Why are you just coming back now?"

"I went to college, remember?" she said with her brows raised

"Ohh.... So how is college?"

"It's fine, I will be done in two years time. What of Ella?"

"She's in school"

"She must have grown into a woman now"

"Yeah, she's growing really fast. What would you like to eat?"

"Stop treating me like a stranger in my own house. I will go to the kitchen when I'm hungry"

"Alright"

"So how is work?" she asked the question I dreaded the most

Audrey is my childhood friend and I can say we are best of friends so I don't hide things from her.

I explained everything to her without leaving a single detail.

"I don't know how I'm going to pay Ella's tuition and her exam is coming up in two weeks."

"You have to pull yourself together and think positively, okay? I have a strong feeling you will be employed in C. A company"

"Stop talking nonsense, there's no way I will get employed into such big company."

"Skylar you can't just give up without trying. Believe in yourself like you've always done"

"Thank you Audrey. You're always there to encourage me and this is part of the main reason why I missed you so much"

"So what do you have?"

"It's your house like you said so go to the kitchen" I said and we both giggled.
