COLD ATTRACTION ( HIS MATE)

I walked into the cafeteria after classes, I got in line to get Mrs. Jane's famous cake bread when Jax rode past me and cut in.

"Hey, that's not nice,"

I fought back.

"What isn't nice Tatiana, don't stress yourself okay?" He smiles walking to the front deck.

I hated the fact that Jax has always been an irritating piece of shit who loves nothing but to think about himself and cause trouble.

And here he is, aiming to do what he loves.

"Please excuse me?"

I excluded myself from the line of students and went to him, he turns and gave me a stare.

"Can I help you, Tatiana?"

He snapped.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, you can help by getting out of the line,"

I screamed out.

Everyone at the cafeteria dropped whatever they were doing and watched us, Jax took a step out and walked close to me.

We both stared at each other and if not for the intervention of Mr. Robin, our head administrator in college, I would've gone Jackie Chan on his sorry ass.

"What's going on here?"

He interrogated.

I turned to answer however Jax cuts me to shut and lied to him.

Mr. Robin didn't want to believe a word he said and asked me for a final verdict, I looked at Jax and saw how anxious he waited to hear my response, I turned over to Mr. Robin and lied as well.

Doing that, he takes a new turn and left the cafeteria.

Jax grabbed my wrist drawing me back to him.

He looked at me with so much disdain and slapped it away, as he walked out of the cafeteria.

I shifted seeing how rude and obnoxious an individual can be, his not only an irritating piece of shit but also obnoxious as well.

I swear to God, I cannot stand him for even a second and I'm sure he feels the same way.

I rode back Inline and grabbed a slice of Mrs. Jane's cake bread before it finishes, she winked at me and I grained walking to an empty seat at the window.

Thereafter, I got up and rode out heading to my class at the computer lab.

Mrs. Anna, who was also my mom had everyone paired with someone else.

We individually picked a paper and wrote down our names, I handed her my sheets and she smiled, placing it inside a big bowl of other papers inside.

She shoveled all and asked every one of us present to pick up a paper inside the bowl, everyone walked and held a paper, they all called their partner and it was left my turn and jams too.

I took the lead and held a piece of paper, mom passed the bowl to Jax and he grabs a paper too...

We both angrily stared at each other.

Mom asked us to read out our partner's name to the entire class, I looked down on my paper and the minute I saw my partner's name, I also choked with my spit.

J... Jax is my partner, oh hell no.

I turned and he moved as well, we both shared the same look and mom asked us the second time to call out our partner's name.

"It's Tatiana, ma'am"

Jax said.

I held down my pride and called the name of the same person I couldn't even stand, and now all of a sudden he's my partner?

Can someone please call the ambulance because I'm about to go on a cardiac arrest?

I can't believe Jax is going to be my partner.



Mom had everyone paired accordingly even though I protested against it.

Jax too had no idea what was going on however I'm sure he didn't accept the fact we were paired with each other.

After being forced to be in the same group with Jax, mom left the classes, not after she had everyone under a big project that would cost us fifty percent of our grades.

And trust me, I don't slack when it comes to my grades and my future, I'll have to do something about Jax.

I turned to the exit to leave, Jax takes a hand out and dragged me back to him

"Where do you think you're going to?"

He asked.

"I'm going home Jax, are you that dumb to know classes as ended"

I said.

"Seriously, I'm dumb, how about you show me what smart people like you can do,"

He lets go of my hand and walked to the door.

"Jax, whatever you're thinking of doing, please don't"

I added, sounding unsettled.

He smiles a little and jammed the door to the computer lab, I pushed him away and tried to open it.

The door refused to, Jax must have jammed it closed.

I walked to the window to call for help, unfortunately, no one was standing outside, everyone must have left the school premises.

I turned and saw the stupid look on Jax's face, he must be having fun seeing me in such discomfort.

"How can you be so stupid, how do you intend to get us out?"

I screamed.

"Aww, don't you know how; remember you're the smart one and I'm the dumb one".

Jax falls his back on the wall.

I can see his enjoying this, it's one thing to be paired with him and it's another to be locked up in the same room, oh my gosh, can today get any worst than it already is.

Hours spent with Jax felt like an eternity, he made glances at me and I watched him dance around the room with his earbud stuck in his ears.

He must have done this to get me upset, I walked in front and he stops taking a look at me.

"Yes, what happened Tatiana?".

He interrogated.

I fell my eyes down ant without taking an excuse, grabbed his phone.

He roared in anger and ordered me to hand it back to him, I ignored him and phoned the one person I knew was going to help me.

Samantha.

Thankfully she answered her class and was still around the college, she came and had the door open by the janitor.

Jax gets upset, he rode out of the bedroom after, forcefully grabbing his phone from me.

Samantha rode close, she takes a look on at my countenance and inquired what happened.

I told on everything and left her still unable to understand.

However, what can I say, Jax isn't someone I would want to get my mind wrapped around.

His trouble and will continue being so.

His should be called, Jax trouble and not Lakewood.

Samantha and I strolled out of school, we waited at the walking path to get a cab home, Jax's car rides past and he made sure he sends me more angry gaze.

I smiled when a cab rides and stops.

I got in with Samantha and we drove home.

At home, mom was busy with dinner, she comes out of the kitchen with a bowl of hot soup in her hand.

I needed that a lot and so rode to have a plate full of my mom's special dish.

The next sunrise, mom had a call from the head administrator Robin, she left quite early and had a note at the flank of my breakfast.

I read and not relatively long, the doorbell rang, I rode to the front door and unlocked it, Jax was seen standing at my front porch with a rose in his hand.

What's going on.

Perhaps I'm reckoning he got lost and so ended up in my house.

"Hello Tatiana, good morning,"

He welcomed.

"What do you want Jax, are you here to fight with me?".

I said.

"Nope, on the contrary, I'm here to have a serious talk with you, Tatiana".

Jax answered back.

He wants to talk, but why?

I steered him in and he takes a seat like he owned the house, I ignored that and went to him.

"So tell me, what's up?".

I said.

"I need your help please, it's urgent".

Jax frequently said to me.

I'm yet to understand what he needed or better still what he wanted to speak with me about, deep down I felt the urgency in his voice and anxiously wanted to know more.

"Please tell me what do you want?"

I asked irritatedly.

He smiles and said, "Tatiana, I know I'm the last person you would want to see this morning and trust me, I don't like it as well but you're the only person I could think of for help,"

"Tell me, what can I do for you?".

I gave an audience to his request.

"I want to invite you to my parent's anniversary, I hope you can come,".

Jax brings out an envelope and placed the rose flower on it.

I grabbed it glancing at him, it's uncertain to think he would invite me to his parent's anniversary, after all, we aren't friends, and trust me, we both hate and dislike each other.

I cannot aid but wonder what's simmering inside his head.

Unexpectedly before I could alter a single word, Jax turns to the exit and left.

I rode after him but he gets into his car and rides in a hurry.

Again, why do I have this feeling like something wrong was going to happen?.

Thereafter in college Jax and I bumped into each other, we both looked and rode past without seizing a second glance.

I had thought he would as usual fight with me but on a startling note he didn't, he just rides past me and left.

Jax has never done that before, something isn't right.

The whole day I had back-to-back classes, and the minute it ended I took the first cab home.

Mom hasn't come in and so I went Into my bedroom to sleep, I threw away my bags on the floor when suddenly my eyes caught Jax's invitation on the table.

I forgot he had invited me to his parent's anniversary.

And speaking of the devil, he phoned me.

Yes!, Unfortunately, when mom had us paired, we had no other option but to share our contacts.

"Hello Jax, why are you calling?".

I had hoped he called to shout at me, however, he did the opposite of what I expected of him, yet again I'm shocked.

"Hello Tatiana, where are you, I'm waiting at home please come over right away,".

He says and instantly disconnected the call.

Come home immediately, I wonder why?.

Well, I left home right after he called me, the cabman drove me to the address on the card.

It was an hour's drive, I got out of the cab and immediately my jaw dropped.

Jax lived in a huge mansion, although I knew he is a spoilt piece of shit with rich parents, I never knew he lived in such a mansion, like what in the odds Jax isn't from a royal family.
