Chapter 1 Reencounter With First Love

The bright moon hung beautifully in the sky, spreading a layer of silver light onto the ground. The neon lights all over the place were dancing and twinkling, making the night brighter.

It was a bustling night market in H City, and vendors cried their wares. There were so many stalls. All kinds of foods, clothes, accessories, toys-whatever people wanted was available.

In one of the market stalls that sold women's apparel stood Parasol Su. She was offering her goods to all the women passing by. "Hey, beauties. Check out these dresses. I'm sure you will like them. This one is only fifty dollars. It's very affordable but excellent quality."

The two women that she called "beauties" stopped and looked at the clothes in her hands. One of them asked, "Is it really of good quality?"

"Beauty, you can check all you want. I've been selling clothes here for a long time, and I already have many regular customers. They know that I sell good-quality clothes, so they keep on coming back."

In an alley not far away, a man and a woman were inside a car. The man's eyes were fixed on Parasol Su, who was still chatting with the customers. On the other hand, the woman in the passenger seat kept shifting her gaze between the man and Parasol Su.

Parasol Su handed the clothes to the two women after receiving their payments. She then bade goodbye to them with a smile. "Thank you, beauties. Come back to my stall next time."

Parasol Su intended to look for other customers. But when she turned around, she saw a man and a woman walking towards her.

Obviously, they were wearing clothes from luxurious brands. The woman was holding the man's arm while smiling at her.

Parasol Su recognized the man. He was Wilson Yin. Upon looking at them approaching her, she froze. She had totally forgotten about her business.

She and Wilson Yin had not seen each other for a few years. From the looks of it, he had become more energetic and charming than before.

And because she was stunned, she didn't notice that Wilson Yin and the woman were already in front of her. The smile on his face deepened upon seeing her staring at him in a daze. "Parasol, we haven't seen each other for some years. What happened? How did you end up like this?"

His words sounded insulting, but Parasol Su couldn't get angry. She knew that he had the right to mock her. But this sudden encounter was something she didn't expect, so she didn't know how to face it.

Wilson Yin stared at her for a long time, waiting for her to say something.

It was only then that he noticed that her cheeks were flushed because of the cold wind. And although she was wearing thick cotton clothes, it wasn't difficult to see her slender figure.

It was so easy to tell that she had become thinner than before.

Before Parasol Su could even recover from shock, Wilson Yin glanced at the clothes she was selling. He then asked, "How much are they? I will buy them all." He then turned to the woman beside him and said, "These are all for you."

"Wilson, I don't want to wear these cheap clothes from a stall," the woman complained in a coquettish voice. She then pinched him on his side and giggled.

"Baby, with your beauty and charm, I'm sure that these clothes will look high-end on you." Wilson Yin didn't stop coaxing the woman until she finally gave in with a smile. He then turned to Parasol Su and asked, "How much?"

Parasol Su wanted to refuse his offer. But when she thought of her current situation, she realized that she had no right to decline. She needed money to survive. Seeing how the two flirted with each other in front of her, she got annoyed, so she said harshly, "Ten thousand dollars! Take it or leave it."

"You..." The woman was about to say something, but Wilson Yin promptly stopped her.

He took out his phone and called someone.

After hanging up, he looked at Parasol Su and said, "I don't have so much cash with me, so I asked someone to bring some cash here. You can pack those clothes now."

Parasol Su wanted to say something. But on second thoughts, she decided not to. The truth was, even if she had one hundred pieces of clothes here, none of them would cost one hundred dollars. She just gave the price casually in the fit of petty annoyance. She didn't expect that he would still buy them. She would earn thousands of dollars tonight. What a good deal!

It didn't matter. Anyway, Wilson Yin was rich now. Parasol Su knew that he came here today just to show off and make her feel regretful for abandoning him. So without hesitation, she started packing the clothes.

While she was packing, a four-year-old girl ran to her and asked in confusion, "Are we going home so early today?"

"Yes."

"Why?" The little girl got very curious when she saw that Parasol Su was putting all the clothes into a bag.

"Because all of our clothes were bought by this gentleman," Parasol Su replied, pointing to Wilson Yin. She didn't even take a look at the girl.

The girl turned around and looked at Wilson Yin. Her big eyes blinked a few times while staring at him.

At first, Wilson Yin thought that she was a child of another stall owner. But when he saw that she looked exactly like Parasol Su, he lost his composure.

Anyone would believe that she was Parasol Su's daughter.

It had been five years since she dumped him. The girl in front of him was around four years old. It only meant that she moved on with a new man as soon as she left him.

The girl didn't say anything but just looked at him and smiled lovingly.

Wilson Yin mocked himself. He was looking at the small version of Parasol Su. They even had the same dimples on their faces.

"Missy, help me pack here," Parasol Su called out.

"Coming," the girl answered. She then turned around and walked towards Parasol Su.

Wilson Yin, who was just in a trance, came back to his senses when he heard Parasol Su's voice. He stared at the girl's back.

All of a sudden, the girl stopped and turned around. She looked at him and said with a sweet smile, "Thank you, Brother."

The girl

called him Brother. Of course, they didn't belong to the same generation. He was too old to be her brother.

Wilson Yin remembered the name that Parasol Su mentioned.

She called the little girl "Missy."

Thinking of this name, he said in a jealous tone, "What? Yves abandoned you too?"

"It's none of your business," Parasol Su snapped. After packing up all the clothes, she put the bags in front of him, stretched out her hand, and said, "Give me the money."

Hearing her words, Wilson Yin realized that she really didn't care about him anymore. So, he took the money from his assistant, who had just arrived, and handed it to Parasol Su.

He then turned around and left with the woman, leaving the assistant to carry the bags of clothes.

Parasol Su just stared at them as they got in the car and drove away. When she couldn't see his car anymore, a smile crept on her face.

She looked at the ten thousand dollars in her hands and thought, 'As long as he lives well, everything will be fine. I won't feel guilty that I owe him too much.'

"Let's pack up and go home," she said to the girl.

After making sure that their stall was securely locked, they left the night market hand in hand.

Wilson Yin was outside the gate of a mansion. He stood under a parasol tree, staring at the brightly-lit mansion.

Lillian Song walked up to him and looked at the mansion too. She then said, "I just asked. The girl's name is Missy Su."

'Missy Su.

Parasol and Yves didn't end up together?' Wilson Yin thought inwardly.

Hearing the child's last name, he suddenly felt ridiculous standing here at this moment.

"Wilson, don't you think that child is yours? Normally, in a TV play-"

Lillian Song said deliberately. She strongly believed that Parasol Su didn't let her child carry Yves Tang's surname because the real father of her child was Wilson Yin.

"You said it was in a TV play!" Wilson Yin interrupted her.

He then turned around and was about to leave. But before he could go back to his car, a maid came out of the gate to throw the garbage. The maid was a little vigilant when she saw them. But since they didn't look suspicious at all, she asked hesitantly, "Who... are you looking for?"

Lillian Song stopped, walked towards the maid, and asked politely, "Auntie, could you tell us where the original owner of the house is?"

"Do you mean Miss Parasol Su? She sold this house three years ago."

When she saw that Wilson Yin stopped too, Lillian Song continued to inquire, "Do you know why she sold this house?"

"I don't know. I heard that she was with Mr. Yves Tang. Maybe she went abroad with him."

Before Lillian Song could ask more, Wilson Yin stopped her. She had no choice but to thank the maid and leave with him.

As soon as they got in the car, Lillian Song said, "It's obvious that Parasol didn't go to France with Yves. Why don't you let me ask?"

"She has nothing to do with me anymore."

Wilson Yin only said that. But the truth was, he hired someone to investigate about Parasol Su as soon as he came back. No wonder he knew that she was selling clothes in the night market. That was also the reason why he was outside her house in the middle of the night.

Upon realizing that Wilson Yin was not in the mood to talk about Parasol Su, Lillian Song changed the topic. "My best friend will interview you tomorrow afternoon. Is Kingston Hotel okay for you?"

"Up to you." He started the engine and left the mansion that once belonged to Parasol Su.

In an old apartment building, Parasol Su opened the door. She then threw the key on the cabinet beside the door and changed her shoes. Missy Su followed her, did the same thing, and asked, "Who was that brother just now? Do you know him?"

"No, I don't," Parasol Su answered and walked to the kitchen.

"Then why did he buy all the clothes?" Missy Su followed her and asked again.

"Maybe because he is rich." Parasol Su opened the refrigerator. "I'm hungry. I'm going to steam some buns. Do you want one?"

She wanted to change the topic. However, Missy Su just shook her head and asked another question. "Then why did he call you Parasol?"

Parasol Su paused for a moment before she continued to steam the buns. She turned to Missy Su, who was standing at the side. Since she knew that Missy Su wouldn't stop bombarding her with questions, she sighed and said, "He is my first love. Do you get it?"

"Yes," Missy Su replied. She tilted her head and thought for a while. "Star, you still like him, that's why you felt bad when you saw him with another woman, right?"

Parasol Su smiled resignedly and said, "How can you say that?"

"Star, every time you are in a bad mood, you say that you are hungry," said Missy Su affirmatively.

Parasol Su was rendered speechless. She just walked to the living room and sat on the sofa. Although she was not in the mood to watch, she picked up the remote control and turned on the TV.

When Missy Su saw that Parasol Su just kept on changing the channels, she sat beside her and said seriously, "I like Ben, and I also feel unhappy every time I see him play with Abby."

Chapter 2 Making Trouble

Parasol reached out her hand and touched Missy's head. She smiled knowingly and said, "I'm not in a bad mood. I just suddenly remembered the past."

"Parasol, you are my star. So I will always be with you, Star," Missy said with a smile.

Parasol touched her head again and said, "Go get your clothes. I will help you take a bath so you can go to bed. You have school tomorrow."

"Okay." Missy then walked to her room. She took a pair of pajamas from her cabinet and went to the bathroom to take a bath.

Since Parasol had to wait for the buns to cool down, she went to the bathroom to help Missy take a bath. After that, she carried Missy to the bed and said, "Go to bed early. I'm just going to eat my buns."

"Okay," Missy replied with a nod. "You go to bed early, too, okay? You have to go to work tomorrow."

"Yes, I will." As soon as Missy closed her eyes, Parasol walked out of the room.

She took the buns from the kitchen and sat on the sofa to watch TV while eating. A sad love story was currently showing on TV, and soon enough, Parasol began to cry while gnawing at the buns.

She subconsciously wiped her face with the back of her hand and stared at it, surprised that she shed tears. It had been five years. Parasol thought that it was long enough for her to forget everything.

She believed that she no longer hold grudges against the past. But when Wilson suddenly showed up with another woman and bought all the clothes she sold, she relived the past. And there was a pain in her heart.

Parasol took a deep breath and wiped the new tears that streamed down her face. She changed the channel and focused herself on the TV show to forget what happened tonight.

Tomorrow would be another day, and she had to prepare for it, so she said to herself, "After eating, I'll go to bed. I need energy again tomorrow, so I have to recharge."

She kept on reminding herself of this. After all, this had been her routine in the past years. She usually went to bed early, so she could be ready for the next day's work. Seeing Wilson this evening should not change it.

After eating, she took a shower and went to bed.

The next day, Parasol went to work as usual. It was the same morning that she spent at work. She heard from her colleagues that Wilson was in their hotel today, but she didn't mind it. It had nothing to do with her anyway. So everything went smoothly until her lunch break.

After lunch, Parasol went back to the front desk. As soon as she arrived, her supervisor rushed over and said, "Parasol, Mr. Wilson Yin will have an interview here this afternoon. Go there and see to it that-"

Before the supervisor could finish his words, Parasol interrupted him. "No, I won't."

"Parasol, I am not giving you options. I am giving you my order." Since she refuted, the supervisor changed his approach.

"But this is too sudden. I'm not prepared to handle this event. If I fail, I can accept it if you scold me. But I don't want to leave a bad impression on our guest. The hotel's reputation is at stake here." Parasol tried to use the hotel's image as an excuse.

However, her supervisor didn't buy it. "If I don't believe in your ability, I won't assign this task to you. I know it's too sudden, but I also know that you can do it. Go now and prepare everything." The supervisor then turned around and left without giving her another chance to refuse.

"But..." Parasol's words hung in the air. Her supervisor was already too far to hear whatever she wanted to say.

Left with no choice, she reluctantly walked towards the interview venue. In her heart, she had the feeling that Wilson deliberately did it. There were so many hotels in this city. Why did he choose to hold the interview here?

Parasol also heard that Wilson would be staying in their hotel for the time being because his house was not fully furnished yet. Since that was the case, she didn't see anything wrong with it. After all, he could afford to stay in a hotel, even for months. But she just couldn't understand why of all so many hotels better than the Kingston Hotel, he decided to check in here.

Wilson's interview would be held in the cafe of the hotel. It was said to be casual and not so private.

When Parasol went there, the other hotel staff were already waiting for her. But she didn't need to give any instructions to them. Wilson was not the only person who held an interview in their hotel, so everyone here was skillful enough to handle the situation. And since the guest was him, she didn't really pay much attention to it.

It was a bit early yet, so Parasol went to get a cup of coffee. She then sat by the window and took a sip while looking at the view outside. The good thing about this sudden job was that it gave her some time to relax.

Parasol was almost done with her coffee when she saw a man coming in. She stood up in a hurry to welcome him.

Wilson looked so handsome in his formal suit. But the person beside him was no longer her. When she saw him coming towards her, she was about to greet him. But he ignored her and just passed by her. She just shrugged her shoulders. There was no need to waste her time talking to him.

When everything was ready, the interview started. The questions that the interviewer asked were just usual questions that could be heard in other business interviews.

Parasol just sat there and continued drinking her coffee.

"Is it okay if I ask you some private questions?" asked the interviewer, who had finished the first set of questions.

Wilson nodded.

"I actually searched about your college days. I learned that despite your appearance and abilities, there was a rumor that you were a homosexual..."

"Ahem!" Parasol was only listening quietly. But when she heard the question, the coffee made her choke for a moment. She coughed to clear her throat before the interviewer could finish the question.

Because of the sudden noise she created, everyone turned their head to look at her, including Wilson and Lillian.

"I'm sorry. Just go on." Parasol couldn't hide the embarrassment on her face. She tried her best to restrain from coughing, but her throat felt too itchy. Her cheeks even flushed because of it.

The interviewer didn't continue until Parasol stopped coughing. She didn't make a fuss over it since it wasn't the first time that she had experienced such a thing during her interviews. She then turned back to Wilson and said, "Mr. Yin, can you tell us about it?"

"I lost in a bet."

The interviewer was about to ask a follow-up question, but Lillian interrupted, "No more private questions, please."

Because of what she said, the interview ended. Wilson went back to his room, Parasol went back to the front desk, and Lillian saw her friend off.

The interviewer was Lillian's friend. But why did she stop her friend from asking personal questions? It was because she noticed Parasol's reaction when her friend mentioned about Wilson's college life. Obviously, Parasol had something to do with it. Lillian didn't want Wilson to talk about him and Parasol ever again.

Not long after Parasol returned to her post, the phone at the front desk rang. She picked it up, and the person on the other end of the line just said, "Come here."

The caller only said that two words, without even introducing himself. But his voice was too familiar to her. She hung up, thought for a moment, and walked to the caller's room.

Standing in front of Room 1217, Parasol felt a little nervous. She didn't know why Wilson asked her to come here. She took a deep breath and pressed the doorbell.

A few seconds later, the door opened. Wilson stood at the door and looked at her. "Don't you have a room card?"

"I forgot to bring it with me." Her nervousness made her forget to bring the room card.

"How did you even pass the test in this hotel? Did you pull the strings?" Wilson mocked her while wiping his wet hair. He then walked into the room, motioning for her to follow.

His words made Parasol lose her temper. She forgot that this time, he was a guest in their hotel. The moment she entered his room, she snapped, "So what? If you don't like our service in this hotel, why are you here then?"

"This hotel is famous all over the world. I don't have any reasons not to come here." Wilson turned around and looked at her. He then walked up to her with an evil grin. "What's wrong?" Does my presence here affect you and Yves?"

Parasol stepped back until she felt that her back touched the wall. But still, she didn't show any fear. "What made you think you affect us?" This time, disdain was written all over her face. It was as if Wilson could no longer pose any threat to her.

She wanted to show him that he meant nothing to her anymore.

Much to her surprise, Wilson was not angry at all. It seemed that he had already anticipated this scene. Standing in front of her, he said leisurely, "You disturbed my interview just now."

"I choked." Parasol didn't look afraid at all. She was so familiar with Wilson that she knew he didn't have the heart to punish her even if she made mistakes.

"Your guest had an interview. You were the person in charge, but you just drank coffee at the side. I didn't know that such an idle job exist."

Wilson still had a smile on his face, but his tone didn't sound gentle anymore.

"What do you want from me?" Parasol was not stupid. She knew that he called the front desk on purpose to ask her to go to his room. He must have some bad intentions.

Wilson just ignored her. He unhurriedly dried his hair and hung the towel around his neck. He then said slowly, "Since I am staying in your hotel, you have to do whatever I ask you to do."

"Or what?" Parasol asked fearlessly, meeting his gaze.

"I will let your supervisor handle it."

She smiled and said, "I pulled the strings to get this job, right? Kingston Tang is Yves' father. Do you think I will be punished?"

She then turned around and walked towards the door, totally ignoring Wilson's threat.

But he couldn't let her leave so easily. He held her wrist to stop her from going out. "Even if he can protect you, if I really want to call you to account, I'm afraid that you will still experience demotion and salary reduction. Do you want to give it a try?"

"You..." How could Parasol forget that Wilson was a smart person? For sure, he knew that she was short of money given that she worked at the hotel in the daytime and set up a stall in the night market to sell some clothes in the evening. She should have known that he was a cunning person.

It was actually true that she personally came to Kingston Tang to ask for help to work in this hotel because she didn't have any other skills to make a living.

If Wilson really wanted to get even with her and complain about her service, she would definitely be punished.

Parasol knew that Wilson was only avenging her for abandoning him. But at the moment, she was not in the position to refute. So she tried to soften and asked, "What do you want to do?"

"I will do whatever I want with you," replied Wilson. He then pushed the door shut.

Parasol was shocked. She quickly pushed him away and said, "Don't do this."

"Didn't you tell me before that you would be a good wife?" Wilson grabbed her arm and pushed her to the floor.

"Wilson, don't do this." Parasol tried her best to stand, but her strength was no match for his. So she just sat on the floor helplessly.

Wilson then dragged her. She called out his name to stop him. "Wilson..."

But he just turned a deaf ear to her. He kept on dragging her to the living room. There, he let go of her and said, "Clean up the room."

Chapter 3 She's My Star

Parasol stopped crying and looked around. She saw many clothes scattered everywhere. No wonder Wilson had said just now that she should be a good wife. It turned out, he wanted her to do some household chores.

Wilson was such a bastard. Why did he have to play tricks on her? He could have just said that he wanted her to clean up the room.

This time, Parasol stood up silently and stared at the mess in front of her. Deep in her heart, she couldn't help cursing him. It was too obvious that he created the mess deliberately. He just moved in yesterday. His room couldn't be this untidy in a day.

Besides, he was a neat freak.

Parasol started tidying up the room without saying a word. From time to time, she would turn her head and steal a glance at Wilson, who was working at the other side of the room. It was Monday, so she wondered why he had to do his job in the hotel instead of going to the company.

Although she was full of misgivings, she didn't say anything. She went on with the task he gave to her until imperceptibly, half an hour had passed.

The whole time that Parasol was in Wilson's room, none of them said a word. Both of them did their own task quietly. But when she was done, she walked up to him and said, "I'm done cleaning up your room. If your room gets dirty next time, please call a cleaner to do the job for you."

Wilson raised his head and looked at her. He then said jokingly, "But I'm not used to having those cleaners touch my stuff."

"But your mother used to touch your stuff. Those cleaners are just like her." Parasol knew that he was deliberately annoying her, so she didn't want to be nice to him too.

"Parasol!" Wilson called out her name syllabically while staring at her. "Okay, I understand." Parasol gave in. In her mind, she told herself, 'Parasol, this man is wealthy. With his money, he can be willful. You can't do anything against him. If he gets angry and really goes to your supervisor, you're over.'

Seeing that Wilson went back to his work without saying anything, Parasol stood there and waited for about two minutes. When he still didn't speak, she said, "I'm done."

"Okay." It seemed that Wilson had already forgotten that she was still there. He looked around and seemed satisfied with her work, so he said, "You may leave now."

"Thank you." Parasol had never been this obedient before. She turned around and walked towards the door.

As soon as she walked out of his room, she found that her hair was a little messy. Maybe it was because Wilson dragged her just now. She stood at the door for a while and tidied herself up.

One hotel staff happened to pass by and saw her come out of the room and tidy up her clothes. Obviously, she was misunderstood. Seeing the strange look in her coworker's eyes, Parasol quickly explained, "Well, it's not what you think it is."

When she arrived at the front desk, her colleague, Ivy Yuan, said, "Parasol, you will be on duty tonight. You can go and have a rest now so you can come back later."

Parasol looked at her watch and said, "Okay. I'll go pick Missy up from school first."

"By the way, I have someone to introduce to you. He-"

Before Ivy Yuan could finish her words, Parasol interrupted her. "No. Don't make trouble for me."

"Aren't you tired of taking care of your child alone?"

"I'm fine. Don't bother yourself." Parasol then walked towards the hotel exit, leaving Ivy Yuan speechless.

She went home first to prepare dinner before she went to Missy's school to pick her up. After dinner, she brought Missy with her to the hotel.

Parasol liked working night shifts because it was more relaxed. She just hoped that Wilson would not cause trouble for her again. It was a simple request that she wished would be granted.

It seemed that God had heard her prayer. She had been on duty for many hours, but she didn't see Wilson. He didn't even bother her tonight.

Parasol thought that her night shift would end peacefully. However, she didn't expect that someone would come and trouble her again. Wearing a light purple dress, Lillian elegantly approached the front desk. As soon as she saw Parasol looking at her, she showed her beautiful smile and asked, "Parasol, are you on duty?"

"Yes." Parasol nodded. It was surprising to her that Lillian greeted her. After all, they were not familiar with each other. But now, Lillian acted like they were good friends. Lillian's behavior made her a little confused for a while.

"Are you looking for Wilson?" As soon as she asked the question, Parasol wanted to slap herself. It was so stupid of her to ask. Obviously, Lillian's only reason for coming here was Wilson.

'What's wrong with you mind, Parasol?' she scolded herself inwardly.

"Yes," Lillian answered with a big smile. She then walked towards the elevator.

At first, Parasol thought that she should call Wilson. It was their usual procedure if their guests had visitors. But then, she realized that it wasn't necessary. Lillian was his girlfriend, so naturally, she would come to visit him.

An hour had passed, but Lillian had not come down yet.

Parasol had been staring at the elevator, but she still hadn't seen Lillian.

She only came back to her senses when the phone rang. She picked it up in a hurry. "Hello? What can I do for you?" After listening to the other end of the line, she said, "Okay. I'll send someone over right away."

When she put down the phone, Parasol called one hotel staff and sent him over to the caller's room. Now that she was free, she began to think of Lillian again.

She wondered why Lillian stayed in Wilson's room for a very long time. But after a while, she forced herself to discard the thoughts in her mind. She had nothing to do with him anymore. Whatever he did with Lillian, it was none of her business at all.

Gradually, Parasol returned to her usual self. It seemed that she had been restless since Lillian appeared in front of her.

She couldn't help mocking herself. This was the difference between the ex-girlfriend and the current girlfriend. She, who gave him up before, now cared about what he was doing with his current relationship.

After doing their business, Wilson and Lillian stood in front of the French window, looking at the night view of the whole city.

After a moment of silence, Lillian said, "The house is ready. Do you want to move in there?" She was a little hesitant because she didn't know what Wilson was thinking.

Lillian knew the reason why he decided to stay in this hotel. She wasn't sure when he wanted to go home.

"Let's talk about it later," Wilson answered.

Lillian turned around and looked at him. When he was about to leave, she said, "She is on duty tonight. Missy is also with her."

Although Wilson didn't say it, she knew that he still cared about Parasol. In fact, he really wanted to know about Missy's background, even if she might not be his child.

Wilson stopped walking and looked at her without saying anything, then walked out of the room.

He went to the staff room and saw Missy there watching TV alone. He looked around, but he didn't see anyone else. Parasol was definitely at the front desk since she was still on duty.

"Star?" Missy happily turned around when she heard a sound behind her. But when she looked at the door and saw Wilson standing there, she was stunned.

"Star? Like a star in a movie?" Wilson asked, wondering why Missy called Parasol such a name.

Missy shook her head and said, "No. It's the star in the sky."

Wilson walked in and asked again, "Then why do you call her Star?"

"Because she is my star. Without her, I wouldn't be here." Missy didn't feel strange talking to Wilson.

Hearing the little girl's answer, he wondered if all children in the world called their mothers Star.

"Brother, are you looking for Star?" Missy asked. She looked at Wilson, who sat next to her.

"Brother?" Wilson frowned. He didn't like being called by Missy that way.

"Yes. Star said that you are a brother."

"Uncle! You should call me Uncle." He secretly cursed Parasol for teaching Missy to call him Brother.

"No. Star said you are a brother," Missy said firmly.

Wilson subconsciously rubbed his forehead. Missy was exactly like Parasol. They were both stubborn. He suddenly felt like he couldn't have a good chat with her.

He turned to the TV to look at the cartoon that Missy was watching. To change the topic about how she called him, he pointed at the TV and asked, "Who's your favorite from them?"

"Pretty Sheep." Missy also turned to the TV.

"Why?"

"Because it's pretty."

Wilson was rendered speechless.

All of a sudden, Missy looked at him again and asked, "Brother, are you with that sister?"

"Why? Is something wrong?" Wilson knew that she was referring to Lillian. Lillian was the only woman he was with when they first met.

"Star seemed unhappy. She steamed buns for dinner when we went back home that night. Every time she's in a bad mood, she would always say that she is hungry." After she spoke, Missy turned her eyes back to the TV. It was as if she was only talking to herself.

Wilson couldn't help smiling. Parasol was in a bad mood. Was it because she felt uncomfortable seeing him with another woman? Well, it was she who abandoned him because his family was poor.

Anyway, it wasn't what he wanted to talk about with Missy now. He wanted to know something else. So he asked, "Where is your father?"

If Parasol lived with Missy's father, she didn't have to bring the child with her at work.

"Star said he went far away, so I didn't ask anymore. I don't like him. He left Star and me."

Missy was a chatterbox. Wilson threw only one question at her, but she talked a lot.

Wilson thought that France was indeed far away from H City. Parasol dumped him because of Yves. He wondered why she didn't stay with Yves after she abandoned him.

He stood up and walked towards the door.

"Brother, are you leaving?" Missy quickly turned to him when she saw him stand up. She wanted him to accompany her for a while.

He stopped and turned to look at Missy. "Yes. Don't tell Star that I've been here, okay?"

With a smile in her eyes, Missy put her index finger in front of her mouth. She made a "hush" sound and said softly, "It's a secret between the two of us."

Wilson just nodded at her.

When Parasol heard the sound of the elevator, she turned her head just to see Wilson and Lillian coming out of it. She quickly looked down and pretended to be busy with her work.

Wilson stood there for a while and watched the car drove away. He didn't come in until the car disappeared from his sight.
