Claiming The Rival CEO's Daughter

My parents were the most respected individuals in the city. They own one of the biggest and most honored companies in the city. Radiant Treasures is the best jewelry company in the city and had no other company to compete with. They had all the recognition in the city and other cities too.Many people from the diaspora came to purchase goods in their company.

I am Seraphina, the only daughter of the great business tycoons in the city, Mr. Sterling and his beautiful wife, Mrs Vanessa Hudgens. I was loved and pampered by my parents. I never lacked anything good in my precious life. I had different kinds of maids in the house that served me anytime I needed them.

" How can I walk to the mall mom?, a beautiful princess like me. I need a ride to wherever I'll go. Tell dad to get a beautiful cute car for me or else I'll starve myself to death only if you want that to happen" I furiously told my mom at dinner one night.

" Oh my baby girl, you know we love you so much and we'll do absolutely everything to make you happy, don't worry you'll get your car as soon as your father comes back from his business trip" my mom tapped me while telling me that.

Even though we were rich, I wasn't allowed to take any of the cars out on my own without my dad's permission. I really hated that rule but had nothing to do.

After dinner, I called my personal maid to come clear the table in a rude manner,

" Hey maid! Maid!"

" I'm here my mistress," the maid responded.

" How dare you, didn't I tell you to respond as soon as I called you? What on earth are you doing for you to come at the second call. Have you gone nuts? Now clear the table and leave my side" I shouted at the maid.

My mother told me to stop being harsh on the maid but I didn't listen to her and walked out on her.

I was listening to my favorite music when my mom entered the room. I shouted at her to knock before entering the room and she knows that I hate that. My mom apologized and sat beside me on the couch. She wanted to tell me something important which will help me.

" Seraphina can you please stop listening to the music and listen to me?" My mom pleaded.

" Start talking, if you're not okay with me listening to music while you're talking then you better get out because I'm not going to stop" I told her.

My mother had nothing to do than to let it be and continue with why she came to me.

She told me that,

" Your dad and I have decided to enroll you in a new school. The school is the most prestigious institution in the city. Rich parents enroll their children there and I guess that'll help you, my baby girl "

I asked her "what's wrong with the school I am attending now?"

My mom explained to me that, parents of the students there are becoming poor and my dad doesn't want me to mingle with poor people.

I saw it as a great idea because I didn't want to mingle with poor people. I agreed to change my school but on one condition and that is when my dad buys me the car.

My mom told me that she'll try her best to convince me dad to do that for me

After the conversation with my mom, my friends who followed her everywhere in school called me while I was listening to the music.

I told them that they've disrupted my beautiful moment. I got angry and told them not to call me when I'm having such a moment.

They apologized and we started talking about things that went on before vacation.

Then I remembered to tell them what my mom told me a few minutes ago. My friends became sad but they had nothing to do. They were going to lose the leader of the clique ,how are they going to cope with the commoners in the school?

I told them not to worry, we will get in touch with each other as time goes on.

After three days, my dad came back home from his business trip.

The head of the maids welcomed him as soon as he got down from his brand new Land Rover.

" Welcome sir" the maid welcomed him.

" Thank you, is my wife and daughter in?" He asked her.

" Please madam is in but your daughter is not at home" she answered him.

He asked her where his daughter had gone but the maid had no idea of her whereabouts.

Mr. Sterling entered the house and was welcomed by his wife who was watching her favorite movie on Netflix.

" Welcome darling, I miss you so much" she hugged him.

" You always miss me anytime I go on a business trip , anyways I miss you more than you do" he planted a kiss on her forehead.

He asked her about my whereabouts. My mom told him that I've gone out with my friends. She told him he should go upstairs and freshen up, she cooked his favorite food for him. She immediately texted me that my dad is back.

I was with my friends having fun and shopping. I saw the message and told my friends that I'll leave first thing tomorrow morning.

" But you said you'll spend three days here" Stephanie,one of my friends told me

" I'm sorry but I need to meet my dad as soon as possible, I have to tell him something important" I told her.

But I told them that I'll spend the night with them so at least we have enough time for ourselves.

The next day, I got prepared and told my friends that I'm leaving them. I went out of the house thinking I have a ride to go home but I forgot that I don't have a car.

" Stephanie! I forgot that I don't even have a car. Can you guys drive me home?This is the reason I've been telling my mom that a princess like me can't always be trekking always" I called Stephanie and asked her to drive me home.

We entered Stephanie's car and drove off to her house. We got out of the car, I hugged my friends. I told them that I'll miss them but they shouldn't worry I'll visit them often.

I entered the house, saw my dad sitting in the hall and went to hug him.

" Awwwn dad, I miss you so much"

" My baby girl, I miss you too. I heard that you went to visit your friends. Hope they are doing well?"

I told him that they're fine and they extended their greetings to him.

" Where's this maid! Didn't I tell her to come for my things anytime she hears that I'm back? Maid! What's wrong with you? The next time you try this with me again, you'll receive a dirty slap from me" I yelled at the maid.

" I'm sorry madam, I didn't see you coming " the maid took my luggages to my room.

My dad was quiet all along when I was yelling at the maid. I sat beside my dad and asked him how his trip was. My dad told me that, as usual, the company won the best company in the country and he's very glad that they're getting international recognition too.

Mr. Sterling asked me about the conversation my mother had with me. I told him that , I told my mother that I'll accept it unless I get a car on my own.

" Your mother told me about that but I totally disagree with you. You're just 17 years and you're not old enough to own a car. Besides you don't know how to drive" my dad stated

" But you can hire a driver for me please. My friends have a car on their own, we're of the same age dad. Please dad, you promised to do anything for me. Don't fail your promise" I told my dad.

" Okay, now let's make a deal. You'll start going to the new school and next week I'll surprise you with your car" he assured me.

" Really!, then deal accepted, I love you dad" I hugged him.

It was dinner time that evening, we sat at the dining table to have our dinner. They were served by the maids. We started chatting as we enjoyed our meals. My dad told us that the company is growing and he's very glad that things are going on well. For fifteen years now, no other company has been able to reach their standard. It's quite heartwarming. My mom smiled and told him that he's worked so hard to get this company on its toes so no one will even dare compete with him in this position. We were very excited to have a very hardworking father and husband like Mr. Sterling.

After dinner, I decided to go out with her friends again before going to school the next week. I informed my dad about my intentions but he didn't agree with me. He told me to stay back and get prepared for my new school.

" No dad, I'm going to miss my friends and I have to spend some time with them because I'm not going to see them again". I stated.

" Okay but come home early," he told me

I told him that I'll come early before he knows it.

I got dressed and went out to meet my friends.

My mom entered the bedroom after giving the daughter and father some privacy.

" She's going out again right?" She inquired.

He answered affirmatively.

She really wished I would listen to her and stop going out because I'm the heiress to the company.

I went to sleep over at her friend's house,and spent the weekend over there. We went out to have fun and enjoy ourselves. A guy called Alexander approached me that night,held my waist and asked me to dance with him. I slapped him and told him to stay away from me. The guy got hurt and went back to sit with his friend.

" I told you that she'll not accept you but you didn't mind me, now see you groaning in pain" his friend mocked him.

" She's beautiful, I'm gonna try my luck the next time I see her," he told his friend.

I wanted to leave that place because I hated to see the face of the guy who tried to harass me. I told my friends that we should go. They weren't really happy with that but what I said was final. We drove back home.

In our mansion, someone called the landline phone, then the maid cleaning the house took the call. " Hello Sir, there's a client who urgently needs your presence here" the voice came out.

" Who's this?" the maid asked.

" I'm the secretary of the Radiant Treasures company, we need our boss urgently" she told the maid.

" Okay hold on, I'm going to call him right now" the maid told her.

The maid went to call Mr Sterling that there's someone on the phone. He came to pick the call and was told that a client needs his presence urgently.

He told him to tell the person that he doesn't work on weekends but the secretary told him that the client threatens to stop purchasing their goods when he doesn't come.

Mr Sterling had no option than to attend to the client immediately.

" Tell my wife that there's an urgent call in the company. I'm going to meet a client right away" he told the maid to inform my mom.

He got to the office and went to meet the client in his office. He welcomed her and asked her of her reason for calling him.

The client told him that she he had a problem with products she received two days ago. She told Mr Sterling that it's not a quality product as they told her. The gold in the chains she purchased has started discoloring and ever since she started doing business with them, she's never encountered such a problem before, so she wonders how that came about.

Mr Sterling was surprised because there hasn't been any complaints from a client ever since he started the business, this is the very first time he's getting this complain.

"I totally understand your frustration. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Rest assured, we will investigate this matter and work to resolve it promptly to ensure your satisfaction."

He assured her.

He then asked her to give him the decolored items so that he can replace it with a better one. He called the secretary to tell the sales guy to bring him some chains for him to check.

The guy brought it to him and it was totally different from the one the client brought.

He gave her the new ones and told her that these ones have good quality.

He suspected something fishy in the company. He thought that there might be an intruder in the company doing those things.

He told the sales guy to call his secretary to come to his office as soon as possible.

Sir please you called me" the secretary entered the office.

" What's going on in this company? Miss Evelyn, have you noticed any unfamiliar faces in this company?" He questioned her.

She told him that all the workers here are familiar and she's never seen any unfamiliar faces in the company.

She then asked her boss what was wrong.

He told her that the company will collapse if this thing goes on again.

He decided not to tell her the exact problem, all that he said was that she should be vigilant in whatever she does in the company. She told her boss that she'll keep an eye on the workers and if there's any unfamiliar face here, she'll inform him right away.

My dad was really frustrated, he couldn't imagine that someone could bring such a bad quality product to sell to his client. He prays that it doesn't turn out to be one of his workers.

He left the office and headed to the house. He got there and my mother could see that he was not looking happy as always. She inquired about what happened at the office. He told her about what happened. She was in shock and wondered why someone would have done such a thing to him.

" But we have no enemies in this jewelry business, everyone loves this company and always wants to work with us. So who will even think of doing such a thing to us" she was looking confused.

" Sweetheart, you don't know what this business thing entails. We've enemies even though there's no one to compete with us because they've not reached our standard. There are other companies who will do everything in their power to make us lose our clients" he explained to her

She kept quiet and thought that nothing bad would happen to the company.

It was getting late and I was not yet back from my friend's house. I've forgotten that the next day is Monday and I'll be starting school.

" Vanessa please call Seraphina to come home as soon as possible or else she's going to face my wrath for the first time" he furiously told her

My mom called me as instructed and told me to come home, my dad needs me.

" This man keeps making my life a living hell as if I'm still a kid. Girls, mom just called, she said my dad needs me " I informed my friends who were in the kitchen cooking for us to eat.

They told me to wait for us to have dinner first but I insisted on going. I left the house, and decided to order a ride home.

I got home and my personal maid came to collect my things immediately.

" The one who pumped sense into your head needs to be rewarded " I told her, smiling.

I entered the mansion and shouted, "I'm back guys, who missed me"

" No one missed you, young lady. Your dad is really angry that you went and came back late" my mom came out of the kitchen.

" Yes, this is how I want you to address me mom, not that your baby girl that you and dad used to call me.'' I blurted.

" You're not serious, go upstairs, freshen up and come down to have dinner" she told me

I went upstairs and did as instructed. I really wished the next day wouldn't come because I hate entering a new school. I'm now going to make new friends and learn how to cope with them too. How tiring it'll be.

" Sera! dinner is ready!" My mom called.

My dad asked my mom "what at all is she doing upstairs that has kept her long''

She told him that I had gone to freshen up.

They were eating when I came to sit with them. While eating, my dad yelled asking me what I was doing in my friends' house that made me forget that tomorrow will be my first day at school.

I told him that I wanted to have some time with my friends.

" You should have called us and not kept us wondering as if we've lost you forever. You dare not do that again" he warned.

" I lost my appetite, I'm not eating again" I got angry and walked out on them.

" Hey young lady, come back here," my mom called but I didn't respond.

I hated being yelled at but I love yelling at people.

I got to my room, locked myself up and did not allow anyone into my room. I slept off while pressing her phone.

Earlier the next morning, Mrs Vanessa opened the door to my room. Pegged me on the cheek and told me to wake up and prepare for school. She placed my breakfast on the table and told me to hurry up, I have to go early on my first day. My mom was going when I broke the silence,

" Mom, am I not too old for all these breakfast in bed thing?, you're still treating me like a baby mom, I don't like that"

" Girl, you deserve to be treated like a princess. Even the old couples treat each other with breakfast in bed" she said in a soft voice.

" I prefer going to the dining table and being served by the maids. What at all do we benefit from these so called maids in this house" I stated.

My mother told her to mind the way I speak,the maids are older than me so I should accord them some respect.

I told her that they are commoners and commoners don't deserve to be respected.

She left the room while I stood up to prepare for the school I'm not ready for.

After preparing for school, I ate my breakfast and moved to the hall. Mymom saw my beauty. I was looking very beautiful in my new school uniform.

They were well ironed by the maids.
