Third Person's POV

Holding a warm cup of tea, Grace slowly made her way on the terrace of her house. Taking a deep breath, she reveled for a moment in the fresh air of her small town, which was surrounded by nature. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to get lost in the moment, this was the way in which she used to start her day. By losing herself in the beauty of nature, she used to forget all the problems of her life.

Grace was 28 years old and the most beautiful girl in the small town. She had all the qualities which anyone would need in their wife but she always used to say a big NO to all the marriage proposals. Her parents were concerned about her because they were concerned about her as Grace was stressing too much to fulfill all the responsibilities of the family.

She was blessed with three younger sisters and one younger brother which her parents planned with the hope of having a son. As all the sisters started growing up, it was getting harder for her father to handle all the expenses of the house. That's why she started working in the restaurant as a cook to support her family at her early age. She also helped her father in arranging funds for the marriage of two of her sisters.

The situation had just started to get better when her father was diagnosed with cancer, and her family needed a lot of money for her treatment. Now, she was the only one who used to work in the family.

Because of family reasons and a busy schedule, Grace never got a chance to fall in love with anyone. Also, she believed in getting married to that person with whom she would fall in love rather than an arranged marriage.

.

"Grace, it's time for your breakfast", The high-pitched call from her mother was like an alarm to her that she had to leave for the job. Her mother always used to remind her about the breakfast before 15 minutes because she knew her daughter well. Grace always used to forget to check the time when she used to spend her time on the terrace.

.

"I will be there in a minute, mom", Grace shouted but she knew that she couldn't make it before 15 minutes and quickly ran toward her room to complete her morning business.

After an hour

.

She reached the restaurant where she used to work. She greeted all her co-workers warmly and then walked directly to the kitchen. She found leftover food in the container and shook her head in disappointment.

.

'I had asked Mason to feed this food to the stray animals.', She thought and checked the food which was still in good condition. The food had to get wasted in any way that's why she packed the food in the polybag and walked out of the restaurant to check the animals so that she could feed them.

.

'And there they are.', She thought and smiled. The moment a bunch of dogs saw her, they ran toward her happily. Well, why won't they? She was the one who used to feed them on a regular basis.

"Boys, behave.", She ordered sternly when they started fighting with one another for food. And all the dogs sat calmly like a good boy after all Grace was like their second mother. Grace had always been fond of dogs because they were the most loyal ones but she couldn't own them once because she couldn't afford them.

She patted the heads of all the dogs like they were her pups and fed them the food which she had brought with her. Once they were done, they all started snuggling her legs and she started playing with them till the moment all the dogs started barking.

She looked confused and tried to calm them but they were furiously barking in a particular direction. She finally turned toward the direction in which the dogs were barking and saw four black cars with tinted windows standing straight from her, out of them one was damn so amazing. As she was not so good with cars (and so am I! haha), she couldn't recognize the car's name.

.

She continued to look at the car wondering what could be the reason they all are standing here and the realization hit her like a storm that they could be the customers who might have come here for breakfast or something.

She quickly walked inside the restaurant to prepare food. After all, she was the head cook of the restaurant but contrary to her assumption all the four cars moved out of that place without having breakfast.

'Stupid rich people! If they didn't want to have anything then why did they even stop their car here?', She thought but she couldn't guess that something else could also be the reason. 'But I must admit that the car was awesome. I wonder how much anyone has to earn to have a car like that? I wish I could have also had one.', She thought but then kicked that thought away from her mind because there was no way in her life she could be eligible to sit in the car like that.

Third Person's POV

"Alpha! We have finally found the location of that Rogue and the Vampire's group which we had been searching for for a long time. They are staying near Pacific East human's town. So, we have to move there as soon as possible to catch them.", Eric informed his Alpha.

.

"I know and I have already arranged everything. We will be staying between humans to catch those Leeches."

.

"But Zayden...How can we stay with humans? They are....", Eric stopped speaking when he saw Zayden narrowing his eyes toward him.

.

"We have nothing to do with humans. Just because we are werewolves doesn't mean we should think humans are below us. Humans are different from us but there is nothing wrong with being different, Eric. So never, I repeat NEVER bring this topic again in front of me.", Zayden replied coldly because he had to explain this basic thing to his Beta. If Eric was not being his Beta, he wouldn't have wasted his time in explaining his thoughts. Apart from him and his own sister, he didn't give much importance to anyone because no one cared about him except these two.

His childhood was filled with abuse and hardship. As he was an omega and everyone made his life miserable. They abused them and tortured him in the best possible way. Not only this, he even got rejected by his mate. He vowed to take revenge on everyone who did this to him. So, he entered the Mafia's world. He worked hard, very hard which made him who he was now, i.e one of the strongest personalities in the entire estate and fearful Alpha of the same pack, in which those pack members treated him badly.

Because of his horrible past, he got addicted to what he desired and he could go to any extent to get what he wanted. He always used to stay cold and serious. Only two things were his target in his life, first, power, so that no one could treat him the way they treated him, and second was his enemies, who made him an Orphan. His hunger and his search for his enemies was something that never let him think about anything else- not even a second chance mate.

He never cared about finding Mate because that was never his priority. The only women in his life were his sister and his mother. He had no experience with other women because he didn't know how to treat them because as far as he could remember, his father used to abuse his mother. And Zayden definitely didn't want to become like one.

His sister, Allison wanted him to have a normal life but Zayden never listened to her on this matter. She believed that only love could bring her brother back from the place where he was right now.

"By the way, who all are in the family of that rogue?", Zayden asked rudely. Eric understood that Zayden was back in his pissed mood. Well, it was nothing so strange. He had been like this for years i.e. his mood used to be pissed in 99% of cases. Well, you cannot blame him alone for his mood because two years back, one of the rogues had stolen $60000 by fooling Allison, his sister. It was pennies really to him since he was a billionaire but still, the fact that some moron had guts to fool his sister was something that he could not handle and he wouldn't let him go unpunished.

"The file will be in your hand within 10-15 minutes, Alpha.", Eric answered in a low tone. He used to address Zayden as per his mood. After all, he was well aware that Zayden hated anybody below his rank by his name. His wolf used to consider it a challenge. Eric used to call him, Alpha, when Zayden used to be around the werewolves, SIR, in front of the human and 'Zayden' when he was in a friendly mood.

"Sounds perfect!"

After 10-15 Minutes,

Their car halted for a moment because as per Eric, one of their informers was going to hand over the file containing the details of the rogue which Zayden wanted. Since the informer seemed a bit late, Zayden looked out of the window, getting annoyed with the thought that he had to wait for someone else. And then, his eyes landed on a woman feeding the dogs and patting their head lovingly. Soon, she started playing with them and he could tell that those dogs love her.

He had never seen any woman playing with street dogs. Most of the women he had seen were afraid of dogs, even his sister used to fear dogs till the moment her wolf appeared but here he saw this woman, playing as if they were her own pups. He didn't miss the smile which she had on her lips all the time when she was with those dogs.

And for the first time, he felt his wolf's presence without any reason. For a moment, he felt that his wolf might claim her as his mate but nothing like that happened. His wolf soon disappeared after a while.

"Let's go, driver.", Eric ordered but Zayden showed his hand without saying anything. Eric looked at Zayden who had a smile on his face and was shocked to see a miracle. He followed Zayden's gaze and saw a woman, well this was the second MIRACLE of his life. He had never seen Zayden smiling. As far as he could remember Zayden was called an emotionless person. "Are you feeling hungry, Zayden?", He asked, even though he knew that Zayden was not looking at the restaurant but the woman standing near it.

"No! Just wait for a while.", A reply escaped Zayden's mouth before he could have any control over it. For the first time his mind was not working properly, all he was wishing that woman to turn toward him just for once.

Out of nowhere, those dogs started barking toward their cars. Generally, dogs were afraid of werewolves but barking at werewolves meant challenging for the battle. Eric observed how Zayden's expression started getting changed.

"Please don't mind them, Zayden. They are being protective of the woman, that's it. Even though those dogs know that you can easily kill them but out of their nature, he will try to protect the loved ones even if it costs their life.", Eric explained but he knew that Zayden was not going to listen to him at any cost.

Zayden was about to open the door of the car when the woman turned around. His breath hitched the moment he observed her beautiful and innocent face. The way her hair flipped because of the wind, forced him to think about touching her long hair. He was feeling aroused for the first time, that too for that woman who did nothing to him. This was one thing that had never happened with him before.

She kept staring at him through the tinted window, which was obvious that she couldn't see him, but he could see her. He didn't know a thing about mate and mate bond but by just looking at this woman, his heart skipped a beat. But his happiness didn't remain for long when she walked inside the restaurant. He was back in his angry mood and signaled the driver to move.

Eric kept quiet during the rest of the ride but he couldn't ignore the fact that Zayden's mood swings were normal when that woman was around him.

'Is that possible....', He quickly shook his head at that thought but still, his curiosity was forcing him to clear his doubt as soon as possible.

Third Person's POV

Zayden's wolf was quiet and restless throughout the ride and so was Zayden. Zayden had no idea his wolf was behaving in this way because he never had a good relationship with his wolf. He could only feel his wolf during any fight. The rest of the time, his wolf used to stay hidden in a part of his mind.

"How far are we from reaching our place?", Zayden asked the driver.

.

"About to reach, Alpha.", There came an instant reply. Once they reached there, Eric gasped looking at the bungalow near the forest. The bungalow was surrounded by his men, so he was positive that he was at the right place.

.

"We will be living here till the moment the problem of those leeches gets solved, right Alpha?"

.

"Hmm", Zayden hummed and nodded his head when he received the greeting from the guards. Without wasting time, he started walking inside the bungalow.

.

"Then why did you buy this bungalow? I am sure you didn't take it on rent because you hate doing that as it reminds you of your childhood when...", Eric stopped himself from saying further realizing that Zayden was not over his past. He hated living anywhere on rent because out of all the horrible memories, one of them was that when Zayden had no money to pay rent, his landlord had asked him to send his sister for a one-night stand.

"What do you mean to ask, Eric?", Zayden asked, getting irritated. "Do you expect me to stay in some congested room instead of a bungalow? I haven't earned this much money and power to live like the poor and weak. Now dare you ask anything stupid and I will not stop myself from kicking your ass.", He snapped.

.

"Okay, Alpha.", Eric nodded.

.

At Night

Eric observed Zayden was not able to concentrate on the work as if something was bothering him. He already guessed the reason behind it but was not sure whether he was right or not.

.

"Is something bothering you, Alpha?"

.

"Yes, tonight once we will be done with that mutt. You will have to do another job for me.", Zayden replied immediately because he couldn't stop thinking about that woman from the moment his car left that place.

.

"You can tell me now. I will start right away.", Eric asked, getting excited with the hope that Zayden will finally order him to find out about that girl.

.

"Not now.", There came his short response.

.

'If he will not say directly then I will ask him directly.' With this thought, Eric himself asked. "Does my other work have something to do with that woman?" Zayden looked at him for a while, battling in his mind whether it was safe to tell him? Sooner or later, he will find it out anyway so why hide from him?

.

"Yes,! I need you to find out about her."

.

"Okay, Alpha.", Eric said and smiled. He could sense his Alpha's liking toward that woman and he was so happy that he wanted to inform Allison but this wouldn't be right. He should let Zayden share this news with Allison by himself. "By the way, she was hot and sexy.", He added to see Zayden's reaction but immediately regretted it when the color of Zayden's voice changed and looked at him, getting possessive like anything. He hit the table so hard that it broke into two pieces.

"Think about her again and I will rip your head. Only I have that right to do so. Treat her like your Luna!", He roared.

.

"Sur..Sure, Alpha. I am sorry for using those words.", Eric apologized. If he had any doubt about his Alpha falling for that woman, it was crystal clear now. This was the first time when Zayden's wolf said a word, no...not a word but a whole sentence. And this was the beginning of the CHANGES.

.

"Wow, and here I thought that my wolf was mute.", Eric heard Zayden speaking. Well, he couldn't help but agree with Zayden.

.

"Alpha, what if she turned out to be married?", Eric asked because that woman looked nowhere like a girl.

.

"It doesn't matter to me. Because I won't mind killing her husband because I want her at any cost.", Zayden said with determination in his eyes.
