Chapter 1 The Sensational Wedding (Part One)

It was February 14th.

An unprecedentedly grand wedding would be held in the Phoenix Mansion. Zoe Jimo, the daughter of the Jimo Group's chairman, was getting married.

The Jimo Group was a world-famous company. With her status in life, Zoe Jimo should have been a renowned celebrity. But her father never let her show up in public. She was not introduced to the business world. Because of this, the outside world was very curious about her.

But today, everyone could finally see her mysterious face. They all wondered how beautiful and unworldly she could be.

Almost all media was there to witness and feature the wedding ceremony. While they were waiting, a white landaulet pulled over in front of them. Many reporters lurking outside the Phoenix Mansion grabbed the opportunity to quickly take photos of this scene.

The couple had finally arrived.

As soon as the eye-catching car stopped, a large group of reporters rushed over. Even the well-trained security guards were not able to stop them.

At this time, the bridegroom, Harry Ji, got out of the car and opened the door to the bride's side. He bent over and said in a gentle voice, "Zoe, get out of the car, please."

Zoe Jimo stared blankly at Harry Ji's hand before she timidly accepted it. She then got out of the car, being supported by him.

Since it was the first that they would see her face, all the reporters waited for her appearance unblinkingly.

And they were wonderstruck to see Zoe Jimo, who was around 1.66 meters tall, wearing a snow-white laced wedding dress embellished with pearls. It must be very expensive. She had a standard oval face with big round eyes, pointed nose, and thin lips. The dimples on her cheeks added to her charm. As she was approaching the crowd with Harry Ji, there was a trace of fear in her eyes, making her look like an innocent child.

The reporters hurriedly took photos of the couples as if they didn't want to miss anything. But the flashes of their cameras frightened Zoe Jimo. She was on the verge of tears as she grasped on Harry Ji's tuxedo tightly. She then said in a low voice, "Harry, what is this? They look so horrible. I'm scared."

Harry Ji, who had always been gentle to her, comforted her in a low voice. He then turned to the crowd with an embarrassed smile and said, "Please stop taking photos of her. My wife is a bit shy."

Harry Ji thought that he could make the reporters believe that Zoe Jimo was only shy. But the reporters didn't think it that way. Seeing the reaction on her face, they had the impression that Zoe Jimo was no different from an idiot child.

No wonder her father hid her all this time. It turned out she was an ignorant woman.

This breaking news was more interesting than her grand wedding.

"If you have any questions to ask, you can ask me after the wedding ceremony. I will answer everything." Knowing that the reporters wouldn't spare Zoe Jimo, Harry Ji had to sacrifice a part of his privacy to protect her from being the target of the news.

"Thank you, Mr. Ji." The reporters held on to his words, so they all stepped back and stopped pestering Zoe Jimo.

Harry Ji breathed a sigh of relief when he was finally able to stop the reporters from bothering her. They reached the wedding hall in peace.

On the stage, the emcee was already giving her opening remarks. Harry Ji lowered his head and whispered, "Zoe, do you already know what to do later? Just be obedient and cooperate with me, okay?"

"Will you give me candies if I obey you?" Zoe Jimo asked innocently.

Afraid that the guests would overhear them, Harry Ji nodded awkwardly. "Yes, of course. As long as you listen to me, you will have a reward later."

Harry Ji deliberately made the wedding ceremony simple because he was afraid that Zoe Jimo would make a mistake. He was also scared that she would embarrass him in public, especially when people found out that she was a chucklehead.

The emcee quickly called out James Jimo. "Let's all welcome on stage the chairman of Jimo Group to give us a toast."

With the cheerful applause from the crowd, James Jimo walked up the stage and took the microphone. He looked at the couple and said with a smile, "Hello, everyone. I'm James Jimo. Actually, I've prepared thousands of words for my daughter's wedding. But at this moment, I just want to wish her to be happy. I've decided that after this wedding, the Jimo Group will be fully handed over to my son-in-law, Harry Ji. He would be responsible for everything in the company, and I hope that you will also give him your full support. Thank you."

Zoe Jimo didn't understand the weight of her father's words. She just smiled innocently despite the people's uproar below the stage.

Everyone was in disbelief. They didn't expect that James Jimo would just leave such a big company in the hands of his new son-in-law so easily.

James Jimo didn't seem to mind people's reaction. After his announcement, he gently took his daughter's small hand and handed it to Harry Ji. He then said seriously, "Promise me that you will make her happy for the rest of her life."

"I will, Dad," Harry Ji answered sincerely while holding her hand. But in his heart, he was more excited that James Jimo had given him the company.

Finally, the Jimo Group was now under his control.

Looking at his calm face, James Jimo didn't even notice the hatred that suddenly flashed through Harry Ji's eyes. Since he really believed that Harry Ji would take care of his daughter, he nodded with relief.

The emcee then said, "Now that everything is settled, we would like to request a kiss from the new couple as their wedding gift to the public."

It was followed by the crowd's chant. "Kiss! Kiss!"

Zoe Jimo didn't know what to do. She just stood there at a loss. Harry Ji gave in to the crowd's request and kissed her red lips.

As soon as the crowd cheered, Zoe Jimo ran down the stage shyly. Harry Ji then ran after her with a smile.

Seeing that the new couple looked so happy, James Jimo smiled. He took the microphone from the emcee and announced the end of the wedding ceremony. "Everyone, please pick up your glass and have a toast with me again. Let's wish the new couple a happy married life. I also wish each of us a happy life.

Chapter 2 The Sensational Wedding (Part Two)

Cheers!"

The clink of glasses echoed in the wedding hall. No one noticed that in one corner, a woman in a light purple dress was drinking alone, incompatible with the rest of the crowd.

'Zoe Jimo, you are just a fool. How dare you take my Harry away!' she thought inwardly.

Zoe Jimo ran to the Swan Lake, one of the most scenic spots in the Phoenix Mansion.

Even if she was a fool, she still had a deep memory of her childhood. She knew very well that this was the place where she first met Harry Ji.

She looked around the beautiful surroundings and smiled happily. "Harry, I remember this place."

Harry Ji smiled gently and said, "Yes, I remember too."

But behind his smile was a dark memory. He could never forget that James Jimo was the man who hurt his father and dominated the Jimo Group.

Too bad that Zoe Jimo couldn't read his mind. She put her arm around him and said with a flattering smile, "Harry, let's stay here for a while."

"Okay." Harry Ji nodded, pulled her to the bench nearby, and sat down.

They leaned against each other while looking at the attractive landscape. They were not aware that a woman had been watching behind them, with pain in her eyes.

'I am a famous star, but you don't want to marry me. Instead, you've chosen this unknown fool. Harry, I am a woman who never gives up easily.'

Harry Ji felt someone else's presence, so he turned around. There, he saw Emily Lou walking towards them, drunk and angry.

Knowing Emily Lou, Harry Ji knew what was in her mind. But of course, he would never let her ruin his plans. He would never allow her to expose Zoe Jimo's secret to the public.

He gave Emily Lou a warning look, indicating her not to come close. However, Emily Lou was too drunk to understand the message in his eyes. Jealousy overwhelmed her heart.

When she noticed that Harry Ji was looking at something behind, Zoe Jimo also turned her head and saw Emily Lou. She got scared and hid in Harry Ji's arms. In a slightly trembling voice, she asked, "Harry, who is she?"

Harry Ji turned to look at her and said lightly, "She is just one of your company's artists. You don't have to be afraid of her."

"Okay." But Zoe Jimo didn't dare to raise her head until she felt Harry Ji's gentle pat on her back.

Seeing how intimate Harry Ji was to Zoe Jimo, Emily Lou got more furious.

"Wow! The bridegroom is so considerate. But he only cares about his new love, not his old love. Mr. Ji, do you want me to tell this beautiful fool about our romantic affairs?" Emily Lou's clear and pleasant voice came through. But only Harry Ji could feel the strong sense of jealousy in her voice.

Zoe Jimo couldn't understand what Emily Lou meant. She just stared at Emily Lou with her eyes wide open. She was even surprised when Harry Ji stood up and said, "Watch your words. Zoe and I are already married. She is my wife now."

Harry Ji deliberately stressed on the word "wife." He thought that it would make Emily Lou leave. But he was wrong. What he said had irritated her even more.

With a more enchanting smile on her face, Emily Lou said, "Who are you lying to? We both know what you exactly want."

She then turned to Zoe Jimo and gave the latter a friendly smile. "I'm Emily Lou. Nice to meet you. I think we can still have a lot of chances to meet in the future." Emily Lou stretched out her hand, intending to shake hands with Zoe Jimo.

Harry Ji watched the scene before him with a frown. Then, he accidentally caught a glimpse of some paparazzi hiding nearby. It was then that he realized that something was wrong.

He hugged Zoe Jimo in a hurry, trying to stop her from coming closer to Emily Lou. But then, she suddenly cried like a child. "You are a bad guy. You broke your promise and bullied me again. Boo...hoo..."

"Why does Miss Jimo speak like a five-year-old child? Is she a retard?" Emily Lou intentionally loudened her voice to attract the paparazzi's attention.

Harry Ji couldn't help cursing her in his mind.

All of a sudden, the paparazzi and reporters came over to them, asking if Zoe Jimo was really an abnormal person. Harry Ji couldn't find a way to avoid them. All he could do was hug the restless Zoe Jimo tightly as they were squeezed into the Swan Lake and fell.

Fortunately, two men arrived on time. One of them grabbed Zoe Jimo's arm, held her up, and lay her on the lakeside.

Harry Ji managed to swim to the lakeside and gave her CPR.

Everything was photographed by the paparazzi and reporters, but he was not in the mood to care about it anymore. He only thought of Zoe Jimo's safety.

God heard his prayers. Zoe Jimo slowly opened her eyes, blinked a few times, and said in horror, "It's so terrible. Am I dead?"

Harry Ji held her in his arms and comforted her in a soft voice, "Zoe, don't be afraid. I'm here with you."

Seeing how he comforted her like a child, the reporters confirmed their conjectures. Zoe Jimo was indeed a retard.

While everyone was in a commotion, James Jimo rushed over and shouted anxiously, "Zoe, my daughter!"

The reporters and paparazzi quickly ran away. After all, they had already gotten enough photos and stories to feature. It would definitely be sensational news all over the country.

But just like Harry Ji, James Jimo didn't care about them right now. His only concern was her daughter's safety. Besides, they couldn't really stop the media from reporting. No matter how much they hid it, no secret would remain secret forever. It would be better that they revealed it as early as now. After all, even if Zoe Jimo was an abnormal person, she had an excellent husband to love and take care of her. She could just be a good housewife and didn't need to appear in public.

But they had completely underestimated the destructive power of gossip.

Emily Lou, who was still watching the scene that transpired in front of her, sneered.

She couldn't accept that a fool like Zoe Jimo snatched her man. How she wished that Zoe Jimo drowned just now.

Emily Lou found it funny that they even talked about their honeymoon. She wondered how a retard like Zoe Jimo could serve a man in bed.

With this thought, an evil grin appeared on her face. Perhaps she could share this responsibility with Zoe Jimo.

Chapter 3 Honeymoon (Part One)

Two hours later, Harry and Zoe drove back to their bride-chamber while James went to deal with what happened today.

As soon as they entered the house, Alina Mi gave Zoe a bear hug and said excitedly, "Welcome, the happiest couple. Congratulations, Harry and Zoe. Happy wedding day!"

"Alina, thank you for the special welcome," Harry said with a smile as he closed the door.

"Of course! I even decorated your bedroom beautifully. I'm sure you two will like it," Alina Mi proudly said while blinking her eyes. She looked so cute and nifty in her maid outfit.

"Thank you, Alina. I really appreciate your hard work these days. I'll talk to Dad later and ask him to give you a pay raise."

Alina Mi was the daughter of Jimo family's butler, and she grew up with Zoe. After school, she would help take care of Zoe's daily needs.

"Thank you for that. I'm leaving now. Enjoy your honeymoon. Make it the best memory of your lifetime." Alina Mi winked at Zoe, but the latter didn't understand what she meant at all.

She then left, leaving the couple alone in the villa.

When Harry noticed that Zoe was wearing thin clothes, he was afraid that she might catch a cold, so he said considerately, "Zoe, go and take a hot shower first. We'll then eat something and go to the airport for our honeymoon trip."

"Okay," Zoe said with a nod. She had heard the word "honeymoon" from both Alina and Harry. Although she didn't know what it was, she knew that it was something good. Now, she was looking forward to spending it with Harry.

As soon as Zoe went upstairs, Harry went to the living room and turned on the TV. He kept on changing the channels, but all of them were broadcasting Zoe and his wedding.

James probably was not able to stop those TV stations on time. Worse was, they were all saying that Zoe was a fool. They even doubted the authenticity of their wedding. No wonder James deliberately didn't invite anyone from the media. It turned out, he was just protecting his silly daughter well. If the media people didn't lurk outside the mansion, they would not discover the Jimo family's secret.

With a frown, Harry turned off the TV and called Emily.

But what he could only hear was the operator's automated voice. "The subscriber is not available at the moment. Please dial again later."

Did Emily avoid his calls on purpose? She was getting more and more disobedient to him these days.

Harry was so angry that he took out a box of cigarettes and lit one stick. The whole living room was immediately filled with cigarette smoke.

After taking a shower, Zoe went back downstairs. She saw that Harry was smoking and seemed to be deep in thought.

"Harry, smoking is bad for your health," she said. She choked on the smoke as she walked up to him.

Harry turned to look at her, and he instantly saw the concern in her eyes. His heart softened unconsciously. He stubbed out the cigarette obediently and took Zoe's hand.

"I won't smoke anymore. Let's have dinner now. I know that you are already hungry." Harry's voice was gentle and full of affection.

"Okay." With a bright smile, Zoe followed him to the dining room. As soon as she sat down, she was so happy to see her favorite dishes on the table.

Harry put some food on her plate from time to time. Looking at her innocent and lovely face, he couldn't help thinking that if she was not a fool, he would fall in love with her.

After dinner, Harry asked Zoe to drape her hair and put on her sunglasses. Although Zoe didn't know why, she still obeyed Harry.

When everything was ready and Harry was sure that they wouldn't be recognized from their disguise anymore, he breathed a sigh of relief and locked the door. He dragged their suitcases with one hand and took Zoe with the other hand towards the garage.

Harry put their suitcases into the trunk of the car. He then opened the door for Zoe and let her get in. After closing the door, he turned around to the driver's seat.

To make sure that they wouldn't be recognized by the media, he deliberately used a different car on their way to the airport.

Since Zoe seldom went out, she was so amazed to see the view outside. She looked out of the window all throughout the time.

Suddenly, Harry's phone rang. As soon as he saw the caller's name on the screen, he quickly pressed the answer button. "Dad, what's wrong?"

James sighed before he said, "Harry, the news about Zoe has already spread all over the country. I hope you can take good care of her. After your honeymoon, just let her stay in the villa all the time. Don't let her go out again."

"Yes, Dad. I understand." From the way he spoke, it was hard to tell whether Harry was happy or sad to hear the news.

"Okay. Enjoy your honeymoon. This might be the last time that she goes out." James couldn't hide the helplessness in his voice.

"I'll make sure that she enjoys this trip, Dad." Harry then hung up and continued to drive.

Sitting in the back seat, Zoe listened to Harry's conversation on the phone, but she didn't know what they were talking about at all. She just sat there blankly.

This time in a private villa in Britain, Austin Wen drank his afternoon tea idly while watching a live broadcast in China.

The news was broadcasting a wedding. His eyes were fixed on the bride, who was wearing the same necklace to the girl she met fifteen years ago.

It was Zoe, the only daughter of the chairman of the Jimo Group, which was the biggest company in the entertainment industry in China. Austin Wen knew that she was special. That was why James had protected her well. He didn't expect that the news about her would spread out today.

He stared at the TV screen, not batting an eyelid. If the show didn't switch to a commercial break, he would not come back to his senses.

No wonder Austin Wen didn't hear anything about Zoe since then. As a matter of fact, he had been looking for her for so long. He didn't know that James deliberately hid her.

Now that he found her, he was both happy and disappointed. He was happy that he finally knew where she was, but disappointed that she was already married.

Meanwhile, Harry was checking in at the capital airport. Zoe stood beside him quietly, not daring to say a word. She was afraid that she might attract a group of people's attention and throw her into the water again.

After checking in, Harry handed their suitcases and identification documents to the security inspector. When they passed the security check, he took Zoe to the waiting area and waited for the announcement of their boarding.

After a while, their boarding time came. Harry handed over their boarding passes to the staff and got on the plane.

He let Zoe sat down first before he put their luggage away and turned off his phone.

Since it was her first time to ride an airplane, Zoe was very excited. Afraid that she would attract too much attention, Harry reminded her to fasten her seat belt while personally giving her a demonstration.

Seeing that everyone was also doing the same thing, Zoe hurriedly followed Harry's instructions.

When she was able to successfully fasten her seat belt, Harry touched her head and said with a smile, "Great job, Zoe. You can take a nap now. I'll just wake you up when we arrive in Sanya."

"Okay." Zoe nodded obediently and closed her eyes. Soon enough, she fell asleep.

Seeing that Zoe had fallen asleep, Harry asked for a newspaper from the flight attendant to kill time.

Zoe had always been obedient to Harry because she believed that he would never hurt her. She was also very dependent on him. But this trust would also lead to her heartbreak and despair in the future. She just didn't know when that day would be.

Two hours later, Austin Wen's phone under the beer can rang. As soon as he answered it, his agent, Wyatt, asked anxiously, "Austin, where are you now? Why are you not answering your phone?"
