Mia's POV
"I can't do this anymore, Mia; I'm done with you."
I'm done with you? I couldn't believe what I was hearing. No. We can't be done this way.
"You're done with me?" I asked sarcastically.
"You can't do what exactly anymore? Tell me what it is you're not doing anymore Dylan! I want to know. You know how much I like you and you know I kept my virginity for you. I kept it for you, and you gladly took it; now you're telling me you're done? Is this some sick joke?."
"I'm not joking right now Mia, and you should get over this whole "I let you take my virginity" shit for f*cks sake. I didn't beg you to keep it for me and it's not anything special anyway. It was just a tight fresh p*ssy then. Now it's less tight, thanks to me", he smirked.
I scoffed, feeling my cheeks heat up. "It's nothing special? Really? That's all you have to say? I can't believe this. Are you ending things because you can't stop seeing me as your best friend's sister? Is that it?"
He laughed. "You sent me to the moon when you had my d*ck in your mouth, Mia, so you're seen more as a pro throat goat than some little sister."
I'd liked Dylan since we were kids, he was my first and last crush because I didn't like anyone else after him. The first time he came over, I was seven and he was the same age as my brother, Fourteen. I thought I just had a crush that would die, but as I grew older, my crush on him developed into something more. I fell so deeply in love with him and I still love him. But here he was, breaking my heart like it's nothing, after giving me hope.
"I just can't do this with you anymore Mia. Don't take it personally, it's not you at all, it's me."
I was so hurt to hear that from him that I almost broke down in tears, but not today, I definitely won't cry.
"So we're supposed to just end things and move on? You want to hurt both of us for what? How can you let go of someone you love so easily?"
He scoffed, then said, "Trust me, Mia, I know my feelings well, and I'm sure I don't love you."
I gasped in shock and disbelief. "I don't believe you. No. You love me."
I refused to believe what he was saying, it can't be true. He sounds so sincere, but I don't want to believe it; he said he loves me back countless times, so why.....
"It's my feelings, Mia. You can't force me to love you, baby girl."
I closed my eyes as the tears I'd been trying so hard to hold in fell freely, reminding me of all the times I'd spent crying over our relationship.
"Why are you doing this to us right now? Why are you doing this to me? I need to know, Dylan; let me know so if it's something we can work out, something we can fix, we can try-."
He interrupted me and said the last thing I expected him to say, "You want to know? Okay then. I f*cked someone else."
Dylan's POV
"I don't believe you!"
"Come on Mia, stop being such a baby!"
She was trying her best to calm herself down and stop crying by taking deep breaths.
"Okay then who did you f*ck?"
"Would it matter or change anything if I told you?."
"Then why the f*ck are you trying to use it as an excuse to end things with me?"
I sighed, "Look, Mia. I'm not good for you at all. I've never been good enough for you, so you should move on and meet a better guy closer to your age."
"Oh wow! You're not good for me?! I remember you telling me that I'm yours and you're the only one good enough for me every time we slept together. So what's with this bullsh*t?"
"You should be grateful someone like me is the first guy you sleep with kid.", I laugh
"You...you...oh you selfish insensitive as*hole!"
"Oh, come on, Mia, get over it. What do you want me to do or say right now? I should tell you I love you when I don't. Grow up, please! All the times I said I love you was while we were f*cking, it's not like I meant it. You're more naive than I thought, baby girl."
"How are you able to say these hurtful things to me, Dylan? Okay, I get that you don't love me, but you know how much I love you. You know I need you too. So why? Can't we just work things out? Please"
I hated the fact I knew all this, and I hated the way I was hurting her, but I just had to get this over with.
"Did you f*ck someone else? Did you cheat on me or you're just looking for some excuse to leave m-."
"Cheat on you? Wake up Mia, stop being so f*cking delusional. We're not even together so how is this cheating on you.", I forced a laugh
I knew how much Mia loved me, but I just couldn't do this anymore.
The sneaking around and the lies, everything was just too much. I couldn't continue lying to her brother; he's been my best friend since we were kids; he stood up for me when I was being bullied, then he introduced me to his family, and they've been nice to me since then. They took me in as their own. How would they react if they ever found out the broken kid they took care of was fucking around with their only daughter?
I was hurting her in a terrible and unforgivable way, and I was struggling to hold myself from drawing her into my arms and telling her I didn't mean any of it. I want to hold her and tell her how much I love her too, but I just can't.
It was easier to pretend she was just my overprotective best friend's baby sister, who's also like a sister to me, than to let her be my woman.
I'd been waiting patiently for when she'd become a woman, so when she'd finally turned eighteen a year ago, I let go and quickly indulged in my sweetest sin, which was Mia.
My feet moved on their own towards her, when I got to her, I swept the hair away from her face and wiped away her tears. She looked so beautiful even when she was crying.
I had to get over with things fast; my emotions might betray me anytime soon, and I couldn't risk that. I needed to let her know I was going to disappear from her life. I had to leave her life while I still could, so she could move on. So we could both move on. F*ck, I needed my Mia so bad, but it wasn't right. It never felt right.
I pulled her closer to me in my arms, our faces and lips inches apart. I wanted to close the gap between us with a kiss, but I couldn't. Instead, I told her, "I'm leaving soon, Mia."
Her beautiful light brown eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
"You're leaving? You can't leave, why do you want to leave? Where are you going?"
"I just need to sort my life out, and I need to get away from you too. I'm not getting any younger, little one. You don't expect me to keep f*cking around with you. I need to find a wife, I want a family of my own. I can't start a family with you Mia, you're like a sister to me"
She stifled back a sob. "I'm like a sister to- f*ck that! Who c*ms all over their sister's face? Please, Dylan, you can't go. You're joking again this time, right? Please don't leave me" She leaned in to kiss me, but I shifted my head back.
"I'm not joking Mia. I'm leaving"
"Well no! You...you can't leave now Dylan, because...well because...I'm pregnant"
Again with the fake pregnancy sh*t.
"Come on, Mia.", I laughed," That trick is so old, plus it's so obvious when you lie so give it a rest. I'm leaving this time for real."
She started crying again, "But you promised to stay, Dylan; you said we'd work things out together, so why....."
"I have to leave Mia, but before I go, you need to know this..." What I'd say to her would break her precious heart but I had to do it. I didn't have a choice.
I looked into her eyes and leaned in like I wanted to kiss her. She closed her eyes, waiting for the kiss. I knew she wanted badly, but I stopped and told her coldly, "I never loved you, Mia. I just wanted to fuck a fresh tight pussy. So thanks for that, but now your pussy isn't enticing to me anymore, so I gotta move on to my next catch. Stop pestering me with your useless emotions and get something else to do."
I quickly let her out of my arms and turned away before she could say anything; it's not like there was anything she could say anyway, but I had to leave her there.
I had to leave.
Ten years later
Mia's POV
"Welcome, Miss Jason. We're so excited to finally have you here with us. Thank you for making it"
I smiled at her. "Thank you, too, for welcoming me. I'm glad to be here, and I can't wait to work with you all." They had no idea.
She laughed a bit, using her hand to cover her mouth. "Although we've already spoken a couple of times on the phone, I'll introduce everyone to you, starting with myself!"
She touched her chest. "As you already know, I'm Kira, the head of resources and welfare, and I've been working here for the last six years, then this is Mr. Scott's assistant, Bella. She's been here for four years" She gestured to a petite pretty woman sitting beside her who looked bored. Of course, his assistant is this pretty; I'm sure he's f*cked her, too.
Kira nodded toward a man sitting nearby. "This is Sheldon, our Vice President. He practically started the company with Mr. Scott, so he's been here the longest out of everyone in this board meeting, and he knows him better than any of us, too."
He scoffed. "You're damn right about that. I know him so well I can predict him, so I can tell you all we're wasting our time and miss Jason's time too. Why do we need to do this anyway?"
"We need to do this because, in case you have forgotten, Mr Vice President", she said mockingly, "We're going from a private company to a public one soon."
He sighed. "I understand that, Kira, but we all know very well that he couldn't care less about what the world thinks about him."
She rolled her eyes at him and scoffed. Well, it looks like Kira and "Mr vice President" have a thing going on.
She went on with the introductions. "That's Peter, our chief marketing manager. Then that's Rose. She's our senior financial advisor and the man sitting to her left is Leon, one of our board members. Lastly, for now, we have Bruce, one of our executives." She nodded toward the man sitting opposite her.
I smiled at them. "As some of may already know, I'm Mia Jason. It's nice to meet you all."
"Okay, now that we're done with introductions, Let's get down to business. We've been working as a private company for some time now and even at that, there are some funny rumours about our CEO. So we need your help with a few things and-"
"We have one major problem, Miss Jason", Sheldon interrupted, "And that's where you come in."
Kira glared at him. Yup, something is going on between them, they're so bad at hiding it.
"I am fully aware of the situation at hand, but I'm good at what I do, so just trust me, I can handle your CEO."
"Of course, we know you're good!." Kira beamed. "I wouldn't have begged you to make time to help us if you weren't so good. Please just work your magic and save us all".
"You made the best choice reaching out to me. I'm the best in this field." I smiled confidently. I wasn't just bluffing or anything; I've helped broken and almost run-down companies get back up again, and they're currently thriving in the business world because of me.
With the sh*tty reputation Dylan built for himself, It would boost my career if I made him look like a better person in the eyes of the world. That was my main goal with this. To get more recognition. Even if it meant working with the asshole who took me for granted.
Ignoring my thoughts that were getting me upset, I proceeded. "People love to feel like they're considered and like they're important too, so given the fact your CEO doesn't do interviews or make public appearances, people don't trust him and no one's going to work with someone who seems like a ghost. They might be thinking he'd just disappear with their hard-earned money one day, and we can't blame them for feeling that way, can we? Mr Scott needs to gain the approval and trust of society if he wants to keep his company up and running"
Kira agreed, smiling wide. "That's exactly what we need Mia, sorry! I mean miss Jason. Mr. Scott has built this company from the ground up; he worked so hard to get to this level, and even though he's the way he is, he's still popular in the business world. He's mostly in the news and magazines like-"
"You know all the magazines and shit doesn't mean a damn thing to him." Sheldon scoffed, "He couldn't care less about whatever they say about him in the papers. He's only interested in his company so he sees no reason to prove himself to the public"
I countered, "Well we're going to have to give him reasons why he needs the trust of the public. We have little time to get this done, so I advise you all to also come up with ways to convince your CEO. Help me out here; it's for the sake of this company, not just Mr Scott's image. We need to succeed and we need to do that soon"
Kira agreed. "when it comes to business, Miss Jason, he's the best. But he's not so great with going out there and being one with people. We need to work on that part a bit"
"Work on it just a bit?" Sheldon interrupted again. "That man is so Antisocial. In all my years working with him, I've only caught him smiling once, and that was when our rival company went under!"
"Don't worry, I'll make the world falls in love with Mr. Scott, I have a list of events and interviews he'll have to attend to."
"Thank you for trying to help us, but I still don't think any of this will work."
I was about to respond to Sheldon when the glass doors opened, and the atmosphere instantly changed. Everyone started arranging themselves properly.
Without taking a look around, Mr. Scott said, "You don't think any of what will work, Sheldon?."
He was no longer the man I knew, he wasn't my Dylan anymore. But then again, he was never really mine. He'd come a long way from that shy kid who my brother saved from being bullied all the time.
Once he was sitting down in his chair at the head of the table, he leaned forward and simply got down to business.
Kira spoke first. "We called this meeting on your behalf, Mr Scott."
"What exactly are we discussing on my behalf again, Kira?", he scoffed
"Well before we discuss that..." She smiled, looking over at me. "I'd like to introduce you to the woman who's going to help us."
Dylan followed her gaze until his eyes landed on me.
For the first time in over ten years, I looked into his icy, once warm, blue eyes.
And I felt absolutely nothing.
Dylan's POV
I didn't know I'd missed seeing her beautiful brown eyes this much and for a moment, I'd lost all control of my senses. I wanted to rush over to her and kiss her, but the indifferent look on her face brought me back to my senses.
"It's nice to finally meet you, Mr Scott.", she said smugly
"It's Nice to meet me?", I scoffed in disbelief. How can she comfortably act like this is the first time we're meeting each other?
She nodded slightly, with a faint smile on her face. I couldn't help but notice how damn gorgeous she was now. She'd always been a pretty girl, but now– she was a full-grown, sexy woman with perfect curves. I wonder how she'd look beneath me again.
"Dylan, Miss Jason here is-"
"Save it. I know who Mia is, Sheldon."
"That's Good then. Although, I wasn't aware you knew who she was.", Kira said with a confused look on her face.
"I know her very well, Kira", you all have no idea.
Mia showed no emotion over me or my claiming to know her. She looked like she couldn't wait to be done with this meeting.
Clearing her throat, she said," Mr Scott. I'm not too comfortable with you calling my first name. We're here for business sir, not to make friends."
I leaned back in my chair, smirking mischievously at her. "Here for business? I see". The tension in the boardroom rose, and some of them shifted nervously in their seats.
"Look, Mr Scott. We're going to have to work together, so I'd appreciate it if you behaved like the professional that you supposedly are".
She had a point, but I couldn't help but misbehave with her. It's been so long. She was probably putting up a show, pretending she didn't want to have anything other than work to do with me but I'm sure she'd let me bend her over this table and fuck her senseless.
"Mr Scott." Kira interrupted, "We invited Miss Jason over because you– I mean, we need her. The public doesn't see you in a good way and well-."
"I don't want to waste any more of my precious time here, Kira, so tell me exactly why she's here." I shot her a warning look.
"We need her to help us change your image. Like I said, people don't see you in a good way."
My gaze shifted back towards Mia. "How's that my problem? Why should I look good in front of people? Am I supposed to be eye candy or what", I scoffed
"This is for the good of your company Mr Scott. Please work with me here, let's make things easier for the both of us," Mia sighed.
"Let's just do this, Dylan ", Sheldon said, "It's not forever, just a little while. Let's make the world think you're a great guy and–" I interrupted him, "I need you all to leave the room right now. I'd like to discuss things with Miss Jason alone."
Kira cleared her throat, nodding for everyone to just go ahead with it and leave.
After they left, I folded my arms over my chest and focused on the woman who was supposed to be of help to me.
"They're gone now, so I'd like us to cut the bullshit, Princess."
"It's Miss Jason to you."
"For fucks sake Mia, how long do you plan to act all tough and professional like this?" I scoffed
"I'm here for business only, so I will remain professional while I'm still working here and I'd like it if you'd be professional too, Mr Scott."
"Again with the Mr Scott. Why won't you just call me by my first name?" I missed hearing her call my name and moan it too.
"I'm here for business.", she said straightforwardly.
"Business? Mia please, don't give me that. I'm pretty sure you applied for this job so you could get to see me again."
She laughed. "Mr Scott, you didn't tell me you were a comedian. Your wonderful team reached out to me. Kira practically begged me to take this job and help you out, yet here you are, thinking I applied to work with a certified asshole like you. Please get over yourself, let's get down to business."
I glared at her, feeling humiliation and rage stirring in my chest.
"Just so you know", she added, "I'm not Kira or any of your other employees that you can talk to or treat like shit. So be mindful of the way you relate with me, Mr Scott."
"Well, technically, I pay you, so that makes you my employee."
"You're paying me to help you and your wonderful company. So watch your tone, I'm the boss here." She stood up, sliding the documents across the table to me before making her way out of the boardroom. "Take a good look at those, because we have a lot to do if we're going to make your shitty self look like a good guy."
I resisted the urge to slam the table in anger. This wasn't my Mia anymore. She was being a bitch- a sexy, irresistible bitch. I hoped this was all a game, a sick payback because I couldn't lose my Mia for good. I can't lose her.
My emotions went wild in that moment and I tried hard to hold myself back from rushing over to her and pulling her in my arms. I might lose it if she continues being this way to me, fuck it. I don't want to lose her....not again.
As she walked past me, I grabbed her hand, pulling her back towards me so she'd fall into my lap. We were so freaking close, her lips just inches apart. I looked at them briefly, resisting the urge to close the space between us.
"You can pretend all you want Mia, but we both know you can't keep up with this boss bitch act." I smirked, "What do I have to say to get my dick in that perfect pussy of yours again? Are you waiting for some kind of apology before you come running back to me?".
She pushed me back and stood up glaring at me. "You must be sick in the head Mr Scott, if you think I'm here for anything other than business. Helping you clear your shitty image will boost my career, so stop being an arrogant asshole with a dick for brains. I wonder how you made it this far." She scoffed.
I glared back at her, barely holding my rage. "Okay, Miss Jason." I stood up and walked closer to her till we were inches apart, "If you fucking want to be that way, then fine, be my guest. You'll regret this."
I stared into those beautiful eyes I'd missed so much for a minute; then I walked away.
