Chapter 1 ....

Clyde

I threw the fifth cigarette on the ground trampling it with my foot. I stared at the lights outside the building, that motherf*cker had written his name on the lights

"Dani's". To add gasoline to my fury the music was so loud that it could be heard outside. I pulled my gun from my waist and put it into Gabriel's jaw, pulling him by the collar of his well-ironed white shirt.

"Remind me again why we are here!" I spoke through gritted teeth.

"I'm sorry boss." He gulped, closing his eyes waiting for the bullet to enter his head.

That was what I admired most about Gabriel, and that's why he was my right arm. Even when he made mistakes he never begged for his life to be spared, he never crawled. He expected to hear the noise of the gun and take the bullet like a man. I let him go, putting the gun inside.

"Let's go find that a**hole and make him pay!"

I gave my order, and Gabriel and two of my men followed me while I approached the door.

The chubby guard there recognized me immediately bowing his head in respect before moving from the way to let us pass through. The noise was louder, the loud music made me want to throw up. Women, women, girls, young girls, revealing parts of their bodies while shaking their assets and flirting shamelessly. I kept my head straight, from the corner of my eye I could see the women smiling at me, trying to flirt with me but I ignored them.

Any other day I would gladly give attention to some of them but not at that moment. I was furious with Dani. I barged into his office, he had two girls with him. I shot one of the pots in his office to earn his attention, interrupting their act.

"You two ladies get out." I tried to stay calm, while the ladies took their clothes and ran outside.

"Clyde! My friend you should have knocked!"

The mother*cker thought he would smitten me by acting funny, but it was not funny at all.

"I knocked at your pot. Pull your pants on, I don't want to see your small d*ck!" I sat on the chair in front of his desk while the a**hole buckled his belt.

"Now tell me Dani, how is it possible that in the container that came last night, there were women amongst the weapons that were supposed to be imported?!" I left my gun on the desk keeping my hand on it.

"Oh, that's why you are here." He let out a breath smiling in relief. Taking the bottle of alcohol and two glasses.

"You scared the hell out of me man. They are poor women, their families sold them for money. They are worthless, but here I will allow them to work for me and enjoy life a little bit." He smirked, pleased with what he said like he was doing them a favour.

I shot the bottle he had in his hands while pouring the alcohol, the glass exploded in his hands making him bleed.

"What the f*ck man!" He jumped from his chair.

"I thought I was clear when I said I don't approve of women and child trafficking! But it looks like I have to remind you again!" I put my hands on the desk.

"I don't get why you care so much about those whores!"

"The next bullet I'm gonna shoot it will be inside your mouth if you continue speaking like that! Those women will be under my protection and I will return them to their homes. As for you, I don't want to do business with you anymore. Don't let me see your shitty face appear in front of me!" I spat in anger turning my back to leave his office while Gabriel opened the door for me.

"You're kidding, right? You can't just get me out of the business, we had a deal!" He yelled behind me.

"A deal that you didn't respect." I didn't bother to turn around, taking one step ahead when he shouted again.

"You're not the only one who can make the decision! You won't get me out of the business! I will make you pay! " He started shouting nonsense, pulling his gun at me, Gabriel and my men took out their weapons as well.

I turned around slowly, keeping my gun in my waist. I walked towards him like a predator, slowly keeping my eyes on his eyes. I could see the fear in his eyes, he gulped trying to hold the gun with both his hands. The color drained from his face and he widened his eyes in horror knowing what waited for him. I pushed the desk aside standing right in front of him, his gun pointed in my chest. I went closer to his gun until it touched my chest.

"You want to play the hero little Dani? Should I remind you who I am? Should I remind you who you're dealing with?"

I took the gun from his trembling hands and I shot him into his left leg. The motherf*cker cried in pain, his guards came rushing inside with guns pulled at us but I knew none of them would dare to shoot at me. I left his gun on the desk before making my way out of his office. I took out a cigarette, I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, I hated loud places.

I was ready to shove away harshly the drunk lady who crashed into me when she raised her head and looked me in the eye. The whole world stopped and it rewound. I felt small, like a sand particle, like I had no importance at all, thrown and forgotten at a corner. She blinked her eyes moving her hand in front of her face like trying to make the image disappear from her sight.

"You're not real." Her sweet voice brought to life every feeling that I thought I had killed for her.

I could hear her because she was very close to me, she touched my shoulders until she tried to reach for my face and almost fell in those heels. And me being the idiot that I was I held her by her waist and my hands burned everywhere I touched her.

"Hey, are you sure there wasn't alcohol in the drink you gave me?" She tried to turn around yelling at someone but almost fell again and I pulled her closer to my body.

"Woah, I think I'm gonna fall." She said before she fainted right into my arms. '

Her forgotten scent played in my nostrils wanting to make her mine for all the times that I imagined she was mine. I took her in my arms bridal style taking her out of there. First, because whoever she was there must have been drunk as well. Second, because someone may take advantage of her drunken state. And third, because I had missed her like crazy. I laid her in the back seat of the car, giving Gabriel my keys and sitting in the back keeping her head in my chest. She was so fragile, so peaceful. Turned into a woman but did not lose her innocence. She was 18 the last time I saw her. Now she must be around 25 and I should hate her for what she did to me. Or she must hate me for what I did to her. Or what I had planned to do to her.

Chapter 2 ...

Olivia

I groaned, covering my head with the pillow, my headache was killing me. I didn't even remember how I got home. I rolled on my back pouting my lips and keeping the pillow over my face. I did not dare to open my eyes and face the light. That's what you get when you trust Sam with the drinks. The pillow smelled like a man's perfume. Oh no, did I bring someone with me at home? My father will kill me! I moved away the pillow opening my eyes when I faced a weird ceiling. Not the ceiling of my house. Oh no! Did I go to an unknown man's house? My mother must be worried about me.

I stood on my feet checking if I had my clothes on. I still had my dress from last night on. The room was weird, almost everything black. I took my heels that were at the end of the bed and tried to leave like a thief. I didn't want to confront the owner of the house. I pushed the door open and went out of that bedroom but the house was huge there were many doors. How was I supposed to get out of there without being noticed? I walked on my tiptoes, looking at every side to avoid people seeing me. But the house seemed empty like a ghost lived there. Distracted by the painting in the walls, me being me it is impossible not to be distracted because I get bored easily and love art. Well, I being distracted didn't notice the man who stood in front of me. I almost crashed into his muscular body. He had a blank face I couldn't read his emotions.

"H-hi!" I stuttered trying to regain my balance because I almost fell.

"This way." He said coldly before turning his back on me.

Was he showing me the way out of there? But when I saw the gun in the back of his pants I realized there wasn't an easy escape. What have I gotten myself into last night? What did I have to do with men who have guns? Would they sell me or kill me? I tried to cover my fear and take some information from that cold man.

"So, last night I was drunk, completely wasted. You know people when they get drunk they say or do things they don't mean it. And I.. maybe I said and did something, but look I apologize for whatever I said and did." I followed him behind talking like a parrot all the time, but not a single word got out of that man's mouth until we reached a door.

He knocked before opening the door for me.

"This isn't the way out." My hands were trembling and my knees went weak.

What were they gonna do to me? I didn't take a step in, instead I walked back.

"I want to leave. I want to get out of here." I told the man in an ordering tone.

" Get in. " The man spoke through his teeth.

I was thinking about my chances, If I ran and tried to escape I didn't know the way out and he was probably going to kill me. I gave him a threatening look before going inside that office. I kept my heels in both my hands, to use them like weapons to protect myself. The man pulled the door closed leaving me alone in that room with the monster that sat with his back on me. I cleared my throat to let him know I was there. He didn't turn around. I knocked with my ring on the desk to gain his attention, but still nothing.

My heart was about to explode inside my chest. Anxiety kissed my body with each second that passed and the man who had his back on me wasn't turning his chair around. I could only see the clouds of smoke, he was smoking. What was I doing at this place?

"Oh, damn it!" I groaned putting the back of my hand on my head because I refused to let my weapons down, I mean my heels.

My head was exploding from pain as well, I had my eyes half closed when finally the chair turned around and I tried to stay like a soldier puffing my chest ahead and raising my chin. Why was I even doing that? Probably because the man sitting on the chair was a Greek god, and that caught me off guard. You could see the muscles from his black shirt, the first buttons unbuttoned. Or should I start with his unruly hair and his black beard that emphasized his green eyes and his perfectly toned skin?

"If you're done checking me out you may sit." His husky voice made my knees go weak.

I almost fell, blushing and getting caught.

"I. I didn't.."

For the first time in my life, I didn't know what to say and I was stuttering like a teenager in front of her crush.

The man smirked lighting another cigarette. I had to sit because otherwise I would fall and embarrass myself furthermore. His green eyes returned to me and my breath almost got stuck in my lungs. I was going crazy, maybe I wasn't recovered yet from last night's state. I closed my eyes taking deep breaths from my nose and letting it go from my mouth.

"Are you alright, miss?" When he spoke again I was ready to swear that the voice was the same, only more masculine. I shook my head chuckling to myself before opening my eyes.

"Who are you?" It went out of my mouth like a threatening.

"Do you remember what happened last night?" He ignored my question.

I had a huge headache and I couldn't remember a damn thing that happened after I had my second drink.

"No." I shook my head.

"Why am I here? How did I get here?" I asked, putting all my attention on the unknown gorgeous man.

"You really don't remember what happened last night? " He said it more to himself raising his brow.

Chapter 3 ...

Clyde

I confess I felt jealous of myself that she was drooling over my new face and changed body, but I had to get used to the new me seven years ago when I left. I was not anymore that young boy who was ready to do anything for love. She and her family crashed those dreams and forced me to be this version of the person that I am today, Clyde Harrison. Her presence had been haunting me like a ghost, her eyes, her smile, the dimple on her cheek, her scent, the feeling of her skin and soft lips on mine. I had a plan for her as well, but didn't expect to see her the other night at the club.

But fate brought her to me earlier. I held her small and fragile body the other night and when I laid her on my bed I had to fight the urge to kiss her. I couldn't keep my hands to myself after I took her heels off. What was she doing in heels, she hated those. I guess we both have changed. Like I guessed she didn't remember last night. But her eyes widened in horror waiting for me to tell her what happened.

"Look at me mister, If you took advantage of me being drunk." She stood on her feet threatening me with her pointing finger.

"I don't like taking advantage of drunk girls. And you're not to my taste. I prefer women let's say, not girls." She narrowed her eyes, the thing she did when she disapproved of something.

Still my girl.

"Excuse me? Should I take it as a compliment or should I be offended?" She talked while moving her hands up and down with her heels still in her hands.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you but nothing happened between us last night. You fainted in front of me at the club, you couldn't tell whom you were with or your address that's why I brought you here. You should thank me instead of accusing me of taking advantage in your drunken state! " I raised my voice with disgust at the end and decided to ignore her eyes because it wasn't as easy as I thought having her in front of me.

"I. I'm sorry. Thank you. " She said almost in a whisper.

"Gabriel will show you the way out. Gabriel! " I yelled at him and he opened the door after he knocked.

"Show the lady the way out."

I said sternly not looking at her and turning the chair around to face the window.

"Ungrateful brat!" I muttered after I heard the door being pulled closed.

Olivia

The guy had called a taxi for me, Gabriel was his name I think. I didn't even get to know the name of the rude man. Yeah he did a heroic act because I fainted in front of him. So rude and arrogant! To hell with his physical appearance, he doesn't think I'm a woman! I was really angry on my way home.

I had to deal with my mom as well, convincing her that I stayed at Sam's house. Dad was not at home like always and my sister must be at the holding dealing with finances since I covered the design industry. After a long shower and some pills for my headache, I went to the holding.

"Good Afternoon Miss Smith." The receptionist, Carol flashed a smile and I smiled back at her.

"Did the thing that I was waiting for come?"

"Yes, the mailman brought it in the morning." She gave me the file.

"Thank you, oh, and no word with my father about this." I winked at her.

Hopefully, I will find something about Daniel in there. I entered my office to check the data on the file, he existed until seven years ago then he disappeared from the earth like magic. I have looked for him all those years and haven't found a clue if he is alive or if he is not.

"Please God help me! One sign!" I prayed to God, I was desperate.

The knock on the door made me gather the sheets in a hurry and hide the file.

"Hey, are you busy?" My sister Amara flashed a smile.

"No, come in." I smiled back.

"So we just finished a meeting with a new collaboration that we'll be having about the jewelry design and let me tell you that the man was hot. I never met someone as hot as he is." She sat down drooling over that man.

"Don't forget you have a fiance." I reminded her and she pouted her lips.

"At least let me dream. But really that man was perfect. By the way, you'll get to meet him tonight because Dad invited him for dinner at home, at 20:00 sharp don't be late." She got up moving the chair to its previous place before getting out.

She returned extending her head through the door.

"Oh, his name is Clyde Harrison, how sexy." She made that dreaming face again before she left.

I shook my head laughing. My crazy sister. I controlled the information about Daniel again, there was this place he was staying before he disappeared, a hotel two hours away from where I was.

I hurried so I could catch up with the business dinner my dad had planned. All the efforts were in vain because they wouldn't give information, but convinced or better say I paid someone to give me the number of the manager of the hotel and speak to him. I was 10 minutes late for dinner and speaking on the phone with the hotel's manager when I got home. I was fighting with him over the phone not noticing that all eyes were on me. A pair of green familiar eyes stared at me, it was the man who took me to his house when I was drunk. My father coughed before speaking.

"This is my second daughter Olivia. Olivia, this is our new partner Clyde Harrison." My father introduced us.

I was waiting from one moment to the other for him to say that we'd met so I extended my hand.

"Nice to meet you, mister Harrison." He took my hand lightly and goosebumps covered my skin.

"Likewise." He said with a smirk.

"Excuse us." My father smiled politely at him before taking me to the kitchen.

"What are you doing still looking for that dead boy?" My father whisper-yelled.

"We don't know if he is dead, his body was never found." I tried to explain but my father did not let me.

"I don't want to hear more about that boy in this house! You go change your clothes and come down fast. The guest we have tonight is really important." My dad spoke through his teeth, not waiting for an answer he left me there and went back to the hall.
