Chapter 1 Goodbye Big City

"Rou, we are leaving in a minute. Get ready." my Mom yelled through the kitchen.

"Okay!" I shouted back.

As if I have another choice. We are going to my mother's hometown. It is far from civilization with no internet connection, malls, clubs, and fancy restaurants. How am I supposed to live that kind of life? My Dad said that I can enjoy myself in the town's amazing surroundings and tourist spots. He is also proud saying that it's some kind of featured place on TV commercials. But I don't care! My life is in this city. I spent all of my days in parties and street fighting with my friend.

"What's with the grumpy face, sweetheart?" my father asked.

"You just want me gone," I said.

I heard them sighed and breathe in together. Then, they sit down on both of my sides.

"No, sweetie. We just want you to experience the same feelings that I and your Dad shared when we live there a long time ago." my mother said slowly. She's making sure that I can hear and understand all of her words.

"I will bet my one bank account if we are not telling you the truth. I swear, if it's not about our job, we are probably there, having our farm and not in this noisy big city." Dad said lightly tapping my shoulder.

What's wrong here in West Preconia? This is the little Las Vegas with a little taste of Barcelona. The combination of lights, music, games, and fights with a high-class vibe is the best. But, that bank account is better than anything. Dad has three accounts in different banks. Of course, it has a lot of money. Who doesn't like that thin, rectangular-shaped paper with a head? No one.

"Can I have the account as a farewell gift, Dad?" I asked.

He chuckled. "After a few months, when you come back here and you regret going to Casa Blanca, I will give it on you."

I turned to Mom. "How about you, Mom?"

She smiled. "I will buy you a new car."

Now I'm happy and willing to go there. This is more I like it. I am very sure that I will regret agreeing to go there after a couple of months. What's good about living in a forest, anyway?

Just like my mother said, we left after a minute. They insisted that I can't drive on my own in my car because the old town is far and they didn't want me to be tired. They will accompany me to the village then, left after I settle in. My grandparents are getting older so, they decided to bring me there. I love my Papu and Mamu so, half of me is excited and mad at the same time. I am looking forward to seeing my cousin too. We just met thrice when she went here in the city with my grandparents way back in the past holidays. Every Christmas and New Year, they will go to our house to spend time and vacation with us. So, we can be whole and happy. But, when Papu was diagnosed with a urinary infection, they failed on visiting us.

"I will say, go the Crescent Moon Falls first. It can blow your mind away, sweetheart." Dad said while driving.

"CM Falls is best at night, sweetie. Your Dad proposed to me there. He even asked my parent's help in planning the surprise. Ohh, Reevan, I missed our childhood days." Mom tuned in dreamily.

I was in the backseat. We are now exiting West Preconia. Ohh, geez. I'm gonna miss this place.

"Noted," I said boldly.

"After that, go hiking on Mt. Fubu. The view of the sunset and sunrise is amazing." my father added, reminiscing their past.

And their love story throwback begins. Mom is now emotional telling how Dad struggled to win her precious heart. Then, Dad is getting proud of himself for not giving up. A sweet and genuine smile escaped my lips. I know that my parents love each other so bad. I am one of those lucky girls who has an almost perfect life. I have loving and supportive parents, a complete and happy family, and everything I wanted. I am beyond blessed and gifted.

When they said that the journey to their hometown is far, I'm not expecting it to be this long. We are on the road for almost three and a half hours now and we are not there yet. What is that, some kind of a tribe or something? I'm worried about my butt. What if it got flatten because of me, sitting here in the backseat for f*ck*ng three hours? Poor two little humps of mine. It's one of my assets!

Because of too much boredom on a long road, I did not notice that I fell asleep. I just woke up because of my Mom, pinching my cheeks. I give her my death glare but she just chuckled at me.

"We're here, sweetie." Mom said.

I looked outside the window to saw trees. Yes, a lot of trees on both sides of the road. We are literally in the forest. Great. How am I suppose to live and enjoy the rest of my vacation here? I wish, Tarzan is here so, I can be his Jane.

"Welcome to Casa Blanca, sweetheart," Dad said.

An old stone welcome arc approached us at a distance. It is covered with moss and vines with a lot of tiny flowers in different colors. Then a small bridge with a clean and clear river running below. And as we drove slowly towards it, the water of the river is glimmering through the sun rays. I can saw rocks and small fishes swimming under it. Honestly, I'm amazed. I never saw an actual river or whatsoever nature product in my entire life. But, we have man-made falls and beaches there on West Preconia. Well, not as beautiful as this.

We already passed on the small bridge and a long road started again. Seriously, how long is our journey? I thought we are already here.

"You will love Casa Blanca, sweetie." my mother said.

I wish too, Mom.

A few minutes later and the group of tall trees ended. I can now saw the small group of houses scattered along the way. Every home has a wide front yard with a couple of trees. They truly love nature, aye? And far from the city, there is a long gap between every house. As we continued, many kinds of two-story buildings comes into view. Then, there are different establishments and stores too. But, not as enormous as the city, though.

"Ohh, my, gee. I miss this place, Reevan!" Mom exclaimed.

"Me too, honey. Soon, we can file a leave of absence in the company." Dad responded.

"I can't wait!" my mother said cheerfully.

I wish I have that happiness too.

My parents said that we have a farm of grapes here. Dad helped my grandparents to re-build and grow the forgotten piece of land of our ancestors. Because of that, the old wine factory of Papu awakened. Now, we are the number 1 supplier of wine here in the town. And they said that someday, they will export our products to the local industry and in the city.

I found the old town, plain and boring. All of the establishments and stores here are cheap and small. They have cafes and coffee shops instead of five-star restaurants. They're into sports and a lot of farming too. I can say that this whole town depends on and uses the advantages and benefits of the nature around them. From the structures of all the houses that are made of fine woods to their living which is farming and animals, and the way they act. A life far from what I want.

After a few minutes, we finally stopped in front of a two-story house. It is huge and beautiful. Shrubs and well-trimmed plants are all over the house that is used as its fence too. Bermuda grass is well scattered on the yard with a little stoned floor in the middle as a pathway. This is wonderful. I feel like I'm in some kind of time in the past.

"Is that you, princess?" said by a man's voice.

I know that voice. I hurriedly opened the car's door and jumped down to see Papu and Mamu coming. They are charming as always.

"Ohh, my Rougehan Marou Ubay!" my grandmother exclaimed. "You are so beautiful."

I know, right. "Mamu, Papu, I miss you both." I said smiling.

Then, they pulled me into a hug. The love of grandparents are amazingly good, isn't it? It feels like you're in a soft bed or a cloud, floating in the sky. It has this weird sensation that I can't explain. It feels like home.

"Come on in. I preferred something for you, all." Mamu motioned us to go inside the house.

I never expected it to be more wonderful here on the inside. All of the furniture and designs are antique. It feels like, I go back in time, way back on my grandparent's childhood days.

We went straight to the kitchen. And aside from my room, this is the second part of the house that I like, the kitchen. I love cooking. The sweet aroma of the food and the complicated ingredients are a perfect combination of excitement for me. I even watched a live cooking show and sometimes copying their step-by-step procedures. I know that I'm far beyond anything but, having my bakery or pastry shop is one of my biggest dreams. Being a model is at the top of my list.

"Wow, Mom this is great!" my mother exclaimed.

"Yes. And because we know that after a minute, you- two are going to leave so, we preferred a take out food for the both of you." Mamu placed the two plastic tubs on the table. It contains a different variety of sweet glutinous rice cakes.

"You're the best, Mom." Dad chimed in.

Then, Papu joined us at the table. "Come, on. Let's sit down and eat."

The glutinous rice cakes are Mamu's specialty. It is the combination of sticky rice, coconut milk, sugar, and her secret ingredients. She said that that food recipe came from our ancestors. And I can't wait to pass it in me. I always want to try different kinds and techniques in baking and cooking.

After the delicious snack, it's time for my parents to leave. They need to return to West Preconia because of their job. Their boss is somewhat rude and strict. Every small mistake is a big deal that can lead them to expulsion. That's why I want them to resign from that company.

"Please, take care of my Rou, Mom, Dad." my mother asked.

We are here in the yard. Suddenly, I feel like I'm on the bridge of crying. Mom is so emotional. I can't help but be sad too. This is the first time that I'm going to be far away from them for a long time. I'm an only child so, I grew up living and wanting all I desired. They spoiled me so much.

Mom looked at me. There's a hint of sadness on her face. And her eyes are a whirlwind of emotions "Take care of yourself, sweetie. I'm going to call you every day. And if anything bad happens, please, inform us." she said.

I nodded. "Yes, Mom."

Then, Dad turned on me. He is eyeing me intently with a frown. "Try to fit in here, sweetheart. Casa Blanca is our hometown heritage and we want you to be part of it. Promise us that you will be a good and mature girl. Can you do that for us, baby?"

I can feel his love in every word he said. He wants me to assure them that I can be fine even if they're not here. I can feel tears slowly forming on the edge of my eyes. Please, don't make me cry.

"I- I promise, Da- Dad." I stuttered.

A sweet smile formed on their lips. That's the assurance that they're waiting for. Dad pulled me into a hug and Mom joined in. I'm gonna miss them.

Ohh, goodness, how can I live without them?

Chapter 2 The Book

Two days after my parents returned to the city. And I'm here lazily laying at my bed. I have never been out in the town since day one. I just don't want to roam and whatsoever. And today, I don't feel like doing anything. Insert Bruno Mars song.

"Princess." Followed by a soft knock.

I composed myself and sit up presentably on my bed. My back on the headboard, crossed legs, and a pillow on my lap. The door sprung open and Mamu comes out into my view.

"Your Papu is going out on the town today. Do you want to join him?" she asked.

I can feel her stiffness. She is scared of being rejected and for my reaction. Am I being immature?

I sighed. "Okay."

Her features become graceful. "Are you sure, Princess? Did I heard it right?" She uttered, nearly can't believe it.

I nodded. "I am sure, Mamu."

Okay! Go, get ready. I'm going to tell your Papu." she exclaimed.

She hurriedly goes out of my room. I can say that they are trying so hard for me to go out and have fun. The past few days is hard for me. I miss my Mom and Dad. Every night, I'm dreaming about them and me together. But I made a promise. So, why don't I give it a try?

I'm done fixing myself. I wear a simple green summer dress with my flat slippers matching my naturally curled long red hair. My skin is glowing due to the color of my clothes. It also hugged my body smoothly and show my beauty more obvious. Did I mention that I'm always the candidate of my school in any pageant? Now, you know why.

The sun is beaming when I finally stepped out of the house. I can feel the fresh air and the smell of the flowers all over the place. This is far from the toxic and polluted air and surrounding of the city. I guess, being here in the forest is good.

"Looked who's here. The princess is finally out of her castle." I can hear Papu's voice from my back.

I turned on him and smiled. "Good morning, Papu."

"You are more beautiful than anything, Princess," he said.

Looked at how sweet they are to me. I am so blessed and gifted with so many wonderful people around me. And yet here I am, acting like a stubborn brat.

We used the old car of Papu. It is a vintage old model of BMW that is still in very good condition. He said that this is his buddy since his teenage days. And he's now in his 60's. See, how old this car is?

"Are you fond of books, Princess?" he suddenly asked.

Books? "I don't think so, Papu." It depends on my mood.

"The town has a big library. Every week, the Hamsels will deliver and donating new and integrated kinds of books. Would you like to go there?" He was a little stiff.

I sighed. "I didn't know where it is, Papu. And I'm not comfortable here yet."

I heard his deep breath. Am I too immature? I'm just- you know, not in the mood. What are they expecting for a city girl like me? Did they want me to fit in and change in just two days? How am I going to do that?

"I'm coming with you, Princess. Let's borrow some books there together." Papu's voice is cheerful.

"Okay," I mumbled.

I need to try, right? Ohh, goodness. If this is not because of my grandparents, I'm not going to do this. I'm not wasting my precious time in this boring old town. I prefer spending my days in some malls and clubs.

We arrived at the town's public market. Papu needs to buy some food for our stock and he instructed me to stay here in his old car. I just nodded at him as a response. I don't want the smell of raw meat and fish. Plus the slippery floor and the noise. So, I prefer to sit my butt here than to get myself dirty inside that market.

"Hello there, pretty."

The car's window is open so, everyone can see me. And there's this guy who's brave enough to stop by in my view.

"I guess, you're new. I've never seen you before," he added.

"Good guess," I uttered.

The guy smiled that reached his eyes. He has this cheeky grin that can blow every girl's mind. He is cute and charming. But, not my type.

"Why are you here?" he asked. Curiosity is in his voice.

"What do you mean by that question? Why am I here in the car or why am I here in Casa Blanca?" I snapped. Irritation is in my words.

He chuckled. "You're funny. All of that. Why are you there in the car alone and why are you here in Casa Blanca?"

I took a deep breath. "I'm with my Papu. He's in the market. And my parents thought that I need some fresh air so, they threw me here in my grandparent's home."

He nodded. "Who's your grandparents?"

I didn't answer. Papu is now here, walking slowly towards us. He has three plastic bags that are full of different foods. The guy noticed his presence so, he moved backward and my grandfather reached his old buddy.

"Good morning, Mr. Novicio. So, you meet my lovely granddaughter." Papu said smiling.

So, he knew this creepy guy.

Mr. Novicio combed his hair upward. "Yes, Mr. Ubay."

My Papu nodded. He opened the door on the backseat then, he carefully placed all of the plastic bags on the couch.

"You have a beautiful granddaughter, Sir. Would you mind if I ask her name?" Mr. Novicio insisted.

Papu closed the door with a loud thud. He faced the creepy guy and forced a smile.

"Please, ask my Princess if she wants to introduce herself, Mr. Novicio,"

Papu said. Irritation is in his voice.

The guy turned on me. "Would you mind?" he asked.

Smile plastered on my lips. "I am Rougehan Marou Ubay."

A cheeky grin formed on his face. "Nice to meet you, Rouge. I am Jerox Manuel Novicio, the Mayor's only son."

That's why he has this weird aura. He is brave and bold because of his status and position here in Casa Blanca.

"Excuse me, Mr. Novicio. We need to go." my grandfather said.

I rolled up the car's window. I don't like that Manuel, guy. He seems dangerous and an asshole. There are some people that even if you didn't know them, in just one looked, you already have this feeling that they're some kind of a bad person.

"What's with that guy, Papu? He's weird." I said out of the blue.

I saw him frown. "Don't come near him, Princess. He is a trouble magnet." Sting and disgust are present in his words.

There's something strange with that guy. Power and authority are the black aurae that are circling him. He wants to respect and obey him with everyone. I can say that he is somewhat manipulative. Let's not go near him. He is a living danger.

Like what Papu said, we go to the town's library. It is in the center of the village beside the Mayor's Office. The whole building is made of luxurious fine woods. It's like a structure comes from the past. If the library is beautiful on the outside, well, it's more wonderful here on the inside. The books are well-arranged and synchronized.

"This is amazing." I blurted out, unashamed.

I heard Papu chuckle. "You've never been in a library before, Princess?" he asked.

I shooked my head. "I was. But, not as terrific as this."

"Go, on. Choose the book you want and we'll borrow it. I'll wait for you here." He is pushing me to get going.

I nodded at him and walked between the first and second shelves. I stormed in it further without anything in mind. I don't know what kind of book I want. If there is a book that can catch my attention then, that would be the one I pick. I want something spectacular.

As I silently walking down the aisle, I saw the stairs to the second floor. Papu didn't say that I can't go up, right? So, I grab the opportunity and went upstairs. There are many books in here. It is all slightly looked fragile. I think this floor is intended to be the place for all of the old and ages books.

I went further, shelves by shelves. My neck is starting to be painful because of too much looking up. I keep on eyeing every title of each book but still, nothing caught my attention. Until there is a weird feeling starting to cover my whole body. Goosebumps spread all over me. There is a strange presence that keeps on poking me. It calls me. Ohh, goodness. Please, tell me that there is no ghost in here.

The unpleasant aura made me shrivers. My feet are now moving on their own. I don't know where to go but, I just keep on walking like someone is controlling my whole body. Then, I finally stop in a front of dusty shelves. And a thick brown book caught my attention. Even though questions clouded my mind, I stretch my arms and took the book.

"This is weird," I mumbled at myself.

"What are you doing here?" an unfamiliar voice echoed at my back.

"Who are you?" then, another man's voice joined in.

Footsteps are coming in my direction. I took a deep breath and turned to face the intruders. Only to found out the two handsome men. They are twins because the two are similar in so many ways.

"Who are you?" He has a serious face.

"She's beautiful." the other guy said, almost a whisper. "And smell so good too." then, he sniffed into the air.

What are they, a dog? Sniffing is not a proper act of normal people.

I gulped. "I- I'm Rougehan Marou, Valencio Ubay's granddaughter." I breathe out. "Obviously, I'm here to borrow some book."

The serious guy frowned and raise his right eyebrow at me. Then, the other one just chuckled. I give them my death glare while composing myself. I need to get out of here. I'm not comfortable with these jerks. So, with all of my strength, I bravely walk in between them. Suddenly, the world became so slow. Time freeze and everything was gone. In all of a sudden, it seems like the three of us are the only ones around. The air becomes thick and hot. I can feel their stares and I can hear their breathing. What's going on?

I shooked my head to clear my mind and bring myself back to reality. And in an instant, we are back in the library. I hurriedly calmed myself and walked fast through them. I try to manage my steps to make them bigger so that I can move away from them. I walked down to the staircase and run towards Papu. He startled a bit when he saw me.

"Princess, what happened?" he asked. Worries are all over his face.

I'm catching my breath. "N- Nothing, Papu. I- I found a book."

He eyed me suspiciously but nod eventually. "Okay. Let's go to the librarian."

A fat old woman greeted us when we reached the counter. She is charming for a 65-year-old lady. Name and age are on her nameplate, placed on the left side of her breast.

"She is a goddess, Valencio." She is referring to me.

"She is, Rosa." my grandfather agreed.

Rosa turned on me. "May I have the book, beautiful."

I smiled at her and give her the book. She is writing something in her logbook.

"I signed it under your name, Val," Rosa said to Papu.

My old man nodded. "Of course."

After she does everything in her logbook, she handed me back the book. I thanked her and so does Papu. Then, we left the library together and jumped in the old car.

Chapter 3 Twins

I'm here in my room, sitting comfortably on my bed. I am done cleaning the book earlier so here it is now, ready to be open. I put it on my lap and inspect it seriously. The whole book cover is hard. I think it's made of some kind of wood and leather. It has engraving designs that are embossed around it. Then, it has a rubber kind of material circling on it that is made as to its lock. I removed the brown rubber band and open it slowly.

Suddenly, the air became heavy and cold. It feels like I'm in a movie where the actor opens a secret book then a monster comes out of it. My heart is starting to pound hard inside my chest. But, curiosity is killing me. Just like the actor, I open the book.

And nothing happened.

It is handwritten and not printed. It is more like a journal or diary. As I continue scrolling the pages, I can saw drawings too. Until I stopped in the middle of the book and found a magnificent drawing of two wolves. They are sitting on a cliff, howling under the full moon. The falls in the background are also beautiful. Despite the lack of color and vivid illustration of the drawing, I still can say how wonderful they are.

I put a bookmarker on that drawing and brows further again into the pages. Unexpectedly, I stopped again in some drawing. This time, it's not a wolf but a sketch of the whole town. I'm amazed at how detailed it is. Whoever wrote this book is a very talented man.

Because of the illustrations I saw, I now have this urge to read it from the top. So, I flipped the book back from the beginning.

This is the book of knowledge of Casa Blanca.

Everything stated on every page of it is true. I only write the facts and nothing but the truth. If you wish to proceed until the final ink of my pen, prepare to be one of us.

Wait a minute. Why does the writer have this creepy author's note? What is the meaning of "prepare to be one of us"? Is this some kind of a curse book or something? Should I continue reading it?

Welcome to Casa Blanca, the lost pack.

Many years have passed when the great alpha king and his pack are peacefully residing at the foot of the big Himalayas mountain. They are the most feared clan in werewolf's society. The most powerful pack of all. Their alpha is the king of all alphas that are known to be cruel and a monster. He can slaughter the entire clan in just a blink of an eye. Together with his wonderful Luna, they conquer the whole world of the shapeshifters. They are ruling everyone by killing, slavery, lust, money, and power.

After a couple of years and the people became tired of all his dirty works. They planned to kill the king and his entire pack.

On the seventh birthday of his two sons, under the crescent moon, the group of wolves made their attack. They cornered the king and attacked him continuously, wave after wave. They did not give him a chance to breathe even in a single minute. The group of wolves doesn't mind who's injured or not, young or old, as long as they are one in defeating the greedy king.

On the other hand, the king's trusted person, the beta, helped their Luna to run away together with their sons. Their people hid and let them leave without getting noticed by the intruders. And thinking that his family is finally safe, the king let his guard down. He accepted all of their rants, punches, bites, and scratches.

He let himself be killed.

The brave Luna and her sons run as far as they can. No nights and days, nor storm and blazers, even hunger and thirst, can stop them. As a mother, she will do everything to keep her children safe. So, even though, she's tired and wasted, she never stopped.

Finally, the three poor wolves reached the safe land. It is a dying village with an obvious state of poverty. An old lady helped them to settle in. And because she's the amazing Luna of the most feared and powerful pack, she saved the town from decaying. The few ordinary humans hid and accepted their secrets.

Now, you are in the lost pack.

Are you ready to be part of the clan?

Wait.

Let me absorbs all of this information.

What the hell?!

Am I dreaming?

I am in an old town with tons of shape-shifter people?

Is that even possible?

So, it means that my parents know about these secrets? Did they know? How about Mamu and Papu? I need to know the truth. I will ask them right away.

Without any hesitation, I get up on my bed, hid the book under my pillow, and run down to the living room. I find them there, sitting comfortably while watching the news on the old black and white TV.

"Mamu, Papu, can we talk?" I asked them boldly.

Both of them looked at me. Their eyebrows slightly rising and knotting together.

Hesitating but, still brave enough to stand and walked towards me. My grandfather smiled. "What is it, Princess?"

I cleared my throat. "What is the secret of Casa Blanca?"

I saw Papu's face became stoic. My grandmother stood up and come closer to me. She has this worried expression.

"Where did you get that thing, Princess?" Mamu asked.

I shooked my head. My hair is wiggling side to side as I moved. "I found an old book saying about Casa Blanca's secret."

They both stares at each other. There are emotions in their faces that I can't recognize.

"We- We don't know. I think it's just some personification or somebody is treasuring the Falls or whatsoever. A different point of view and beliefs." She stuttered.

"You're Mamu is right. Everyone here in the town is cherishing the CM Falls. That is the main attraction of the village." Papu added.

They're not going to tell me the truth, isn't it? I am not a kid anymore to believe in that alibi. I know that they're hiding something from me. They are worried that I will leak the important details of the town. I am a city girl and they don't trust me.

I nodded at them and forced a smile. "Okay. Maybe I misunderstood the book. I'm sorry for asking and jumping to a conclusion."

My grandfather patted my head. "It's okay, Princess."

"Can I wander around the perimeter? I kinda need some fresh air." I asked.

Mamu nodded. "Sure, Princess. Just, take care of yourself. Be back before afternoon."

Honestly, I'm a bit hurt. Why don't they tell me the truth? I am their granddaughter, their blood and flesh. That secret is more important than me, I guess.

I took the book and put it in my black cute sling bag. Mamu also gives me some snacks to eat and a pink little tumbler with orange juice.

I don't know where to go. I just want some fresh air and a peaceful surrounding that can help me to absorb everything.

My grandparent's home is a little bit far from the others. It is located at the back east of the village. It means that the forest is all around me. Everywhere you look is nothing but the tall trees. So, instead of walking down on the pathway, I go oppositely. I stormed into the woods. I just follow some trails without any destination in mind. No worries because I can easily recognize or remembered everything so, I won't be lost.

After an adventurous walked, I stopped under the big fat tree. It looks old but strong. Many branches are perfectly scattered around it that makes it so huge. This is not an ordinary tree. As far as I remembered, there is no other tree that is as good as this along the way.

I am tired and a little bit hungry. That's why I went closer to the tree and sit comfortably on its big root.

"Ohh, goodness," I whispered.

The wind is so good. It is warm and relaxing at the same time. I've never felt this kind of fresh air before. Indeed, being here in the wild is not bad after all.

I took the biscuits, tumbler, and the book out of my bag. This is the perfect place to read. No closed and cozy room, noise, and annoying roosters. So, I put the book on my lap and started reading the next page. Of course, while eating.

Wolves and other folklores are not just a tale or beliefs. Some of them are true. The man's government and all of the high guards of all spices decided to make an agreement. They signed the peace treaty rules that say every information about wolves and other creatures will remain secrets. Shaped-shifters, vampires, and any mythical being are not allowed to hurt humans. All of these things between humans and other life forms are said to be secrets on not into publicity. That's why no one knows about the existence of all supernatural beings.

Okay. This is too much. How am I going to take this information if no proof or evidence is saying that there is a werewolf or something? But, there's this strange feeling that is dictating me to believe whatever the book says. Weird.

I continued.

Society is-.....

Wait a minute. What was that?

I can hear some scratches and noises that I can't figure out. I close the book and put it inside my bag as well as my tumbler and food plastics wraps. My heart is starting to pound fast. Then, the bushes on my left begin to wobble like there's someone behind it. I stood up and ready myself.

"We meet again, little red."

I know that voice. I turned to my back and there I saw the hot guy in the library. He is the bubbly one.

"What are you doing here?"

Then, here's the serious one coming out from the wobbled bush.

I was startled a bit. "N- Nothing."

They eyed me from head to toes. What are these two doing here?

The happy-go-lucky guy chuckled. "The forest is dangerous to a beautiful girl like you. So, why are you here alone?"

"I just want to breathe some fresh air," I said.

He smiled at me. "I am Lance Lanard Hamsel and he is my twin brother, Luhan Luscious."

So, these are the twins that my Papu's talking about. The kindhearted twins who are willing to provide and donate books in the town's library.

I forced a smile. "Nice to meet you both."

I heard Luhan sneered. "Come on. We will accompany you home."

Someone doesn't know the word fun. Why is he so boring? No. I don't want to go home yet.

I slightly shook my head. "I don't want to go home yet."

Now he's growling at me. What is he, a dog? "The forest is not a playground, little red."

So, I have a new nickname. "But I'm not playing."

I heard his twin brother burst into laughter. I can feel his stares and irritation. Poor Luhan, I'm a stubborn brat. I can get what I want.

"If that's the case, why don't you come with us, little red? Our house is just a few meters away in here." Lance insisted.

I beamed in so much happiness. "Ohh, goodness. I love t-..."

"No. She's going home." Luhan cut me off.

I eyed him sharply as if stares can make him wounded. She doesn't want me, and I feel the same way too. So, it's a tie.

Because I'm a little whore and a bitch, I jumped in front of Lance and entwined my arms on his big arms. I can feel him being uneasy and stiff but, I don't mind.

"Is there something to eat there?" I asked sweetly.

He chuckled. "Anything you want, baby."
